It is hard to find something in Dartmouth if you are vegan so didn't fancy our chances in the Market Square but running out of choices. A quick browse of the menu and I noticed they have a really inclusive menu with GF and VG choices. We had the home made soup and the Tofu baguette which were both exceptional with perfectly crisp but soft tofu and pea houmous. It sounds very worthy but was absolutely delicious and a proper light lunch. It has made the prospect of a trip to Dartmouth even more worthwhile.

Perfect cream tea........except only one scone not 2 in the price! However scone almost melted in mouth and was warm. Jam and clotted cream on top a delight. Not sure I've had a better one. Would certainly recommend the deli for a cream tea. Staff extremely helpful, efficient and friendly.

Tucked away in Datrmouth's quaint market square Dart 2 Mouth Deli shop & eatery is just the perfect place to stop for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea ..or to sit and relax whilst enjoying a bottle of wine or Prosecco. Excellent quality locally sourced food products, fabulous proprietors and staff and a great spot .. highly recommend.

Over lockdown we have been buying produce and takeaway food from Dart to Mouth and enjoyed just the most incredible quality consistently. Jenny's home made sour dough bread and preserves are wonderful, and her Asian cuisine has graced a number of birthday celebrations - her spare ribs, buns and beef rendang have established themselves as firm family favourites. Jenny's talent and enthusiasm for good food is infectious and she is so generous... we always have ample left overs to enjoy afterwards. Would thoroughly recommend.

"Put your mask on!" was the welcome I received from a fire-breathing dragon who leapt upon me the moment I arrived in the reception area to order. My understanding was that masks didn't need to be worn in places to eat. I may be wrong, but this was hardly the way to make the point. Also, I wouldn't have needed to come into the inside reception area if table service outside was deployed. The food (Devon cream teas) was good and my Red Pepper & Lentil soup very tasty despite that again being thrust at me by the same battleaxe. This time, accompanied by the haughty "Did SOMEONE order a soup?" Yes - SOMEONE did. One of your CUSTOMERS.

We came for lunch on a recommendation. It was just lovely. Very warm welcome from the new owners. The outside table had blankets and heaters and was dog friendly. Now to the food. Wonderful. There were normal cafe baguettes but the specials were gorgeous. A fig and cheese bruschetta, quiches and an amazing homemade Chinese roast pork roll. Jenny the owner is Chinese and it was served with a lovely sticky sauce and pickled veg. I’d travel for that alone. We then bought some beautiful local cheeses and Jenny’s homemade pickles and marmalade. This is a business that deserves to do well. Top quality food at great prices.

We have been visiting this cafe over the years as the scones and tea there were THE BEST IN DARTMOUTH....but NOT now. The tea had a terrible taste...possibly over boiled water? ...it tasted of chemicals. The scones, which I decided to buy along with jam and clotted cream, to take home with me for my Father, were dry, hard and just dreadful. What on earth has changed? Such an awful disappointment. Please rectify these problems or the reputation that was earned over the last many years will be gone in a second.

This tiny deli produces delicious food and excellent coffee from it's tiny kitchen (or is it a tardis?). Comfy seats in the market square (with an awning in case of inclement weather) makes it an ideal spot to watch the world go by and consider what to buy from one of the regular general/crafts/foody markets. The scones are super - warm, soft and just out of the oven and the homity pie amazing. Delicious local cheese/delicacies, nibbles and breads, once tasted, make it impossible to walk past this delicious little den. They also run the Picnic Boat (locally on the river) which I have not yet enjoyed but have heard numerous excellent recommendations.

We found this little cafe/deli tucked away in the market square. It was a beautiful day, but very hot and we were thankfully able to get a table in the shade. The day we visited the menu was restricted because of, I think, staff shortage, but the owner was so welcoming and we had a couple of little savoury tartlets and a cream tea - which was justifiably, in my opinion, one of the best in Devon - lovely freshly baked scones! Popped in today whilst rambling around the town with friends, what a pleasant surprise. We all agreed that the scones were the best we'd ever tasted! Friendly staff and would definitely recommend

My partner and I stumbled in to this deli on a quiet afternoon window shopping in Dartmouth. We had purchased a few bits from the deli and whole food shops before coming in to the store and having a look around. The selection was good and often championing local produce though there is a much smaller offering here than in other similar nearby stores. I was asked if I needed help, I didn't, though the woman running the cafe noticed my drink, which was a brand Dart to Mouth allso sold; I explained I purchased it elsewhere and was unfortunately met with a very harsh response. "I see. You bought that from the competition? Shame, that's a mistake. If you knew Dartmouth you'd know not to go there. I bet it was far more expensive as well." However I do know Dartmouth, I've been visiting for the last 20 years! I do feel the tone of the lady was off which was a pity and this coupled with the reduced offering of products leads me to this review. I shan't say 'avoid' but make sure to visit all the similar cafe's and deli's before deciding.

We stumbled upon this amazing little deli restuarant in the old market square, a beautiful hidden gem in the lovely town of Dartmouth. We sat in a cobbled courtyard in the sunshine and enjoyed home baked baguettes, one filled with Somerset brie, Devon chilli jam, salad and grapes and the other packed with smoked salmon, cream cheese and salad, both just over £5 each, and a wonderful chilled bottle of pinot grigio, yet again very reasonably priced at £14.50. The ladies at the next table had homemade steak filled pasties, which the owner explained she made herself and marinaded the steak to make it extra tasty, and if she hadn't just sold out we would have brought some for our tea, they did look amazing!!!!The staff are extremely friendly and you are in no way rushed to move on when you have finished your meal. This is a wonderful little gem of a deli restuarant and I can't recommend it enough if you want to take some time out and enjoy lovely food and a peaceful atmosphere.

Excellent baguettes with a local twist - the dartmoor blue and walnuts was fabulous and coffee. Excellent value for money - so pleased we found it and the dog was made welcome too!

We visited the music festival and spent most of the weekend sitting in this little deli in the old market square, enjoying en excellent bottle or two of the Sauvignon Blanc and eating the most delicious home cooked pastries, quiche and crusty bread. There is plenty of seating, and the atmosphere is very chilled and relax, with a lovely welcome from the owner Rayne. Kevin, Rayne's husband, runs the picnic boat, and if you have been fortunate to enjoy a trip on this, then you know that the food is going to be excellent. This deli is the kind of place where you could sit and watch the world go round for ever..............a definite MUST when visiting Dartmouth - Cannot wait to return!

The home baked goods at this cafe were just delightful. A refreshing change to visit an independent cafe and the food was excellent. Our fussy eater five year old reluctantly tried the quiche, then promptly ate two of them. We had to go back for more. I tried the chorizo and olive quiche - a very interesting and tasty twist on an old favourite and no soggy bottoms to be found here. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. The trip to this cafe made our day trip to Dartmouth the perfect day out. Thank you. Ps we still think the prices are too reasonable for the quality!

Spent a lot of time here eating and drinking during the recent Dart Music Festival. Excellent location, with plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the fresh air, with cover in case it rains. Very warm and friendly welcome from Rayne - the owner and her husband who runs The Picnic Boat - another MUST in Dartmouth! The food here is all home made and absolutely delicious. I am a non meat eater and there was plenty of choice for me and others in the party who love their meat were certainly not disappointed - they loved their pasties! A special recommendation has to be the Treacle Tarts with clotted cream. Make sure you put this Deli on your 'To Do' list if you are in Dartmouth.

We stopped at the Dart to Mouth Deli during a day out in Dartmouth while on holiday with friends in Brixham - it is in an excellent location in the Old Market Square with the added bonus of being under cover (the weather wasn't the best!). The menu was lovely, very varied, with something for everyone! The service was wonderful with a delightful, friendly lady serving who said that the food was so good because it is all home-made - we would definitely agree with that! To be recommended if you are in Dartmouth!

The new location of the Hairy Barista is my go to place in town for everything good….. There is nothing these guys can do wrong in my eyes…. They serve great coffee, chai ( a definite favourite of mine)amongst many other interesting things inc Kombucha and Kefir drinks… I love their food offerings wether it be a simple filled croissant to their always hearty soups or specials. I will continue to support them as often as I can afford. They do things with the most amount of integrity and genuine passion and that means a lot in my world. You only have to look at how busy they are day to day to know they have hit a sweet spot 🙏🙏

We realise that this restaurant cannot provide a large menu especially during the autumn /winter but on our evening the fish choice was not on (replaced with a lazy prawn dish) and out of two desserts the crumble was also not available! Feel this is lazy as there is so much fish available locally and the excuses to not provide an apple crumble is in fact rather lazy from the kitchen. If you only want to offer pizzas and burgers, fine but don’t disappoint people with omissions.

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! We were fortunate to be able to sit outside on a lovely sunny day for lunch. The BBQ worked really well and you could easily spend the time ordering nibbles from the menu and drinking copious amounts of Rose
