What an amazing place. Staff 10/10.. go beyond their remit… coffee 10/10. Ice cream 10/10. I can’t wait to visit again What more can I say???

Visited a few times in this summer holiday. Lovely team made us and our puppy very welcome. Ice creams were divine. We have had chocolate in various varieties, also had honeycomb and coconut. Each ice cream was delicious. Lovely hot chocolate and flat whites. Truly lovely place to come back to time after time.

Visiting Dartmouth for the afternoon, we went in search of an ice cream and refreshment. We happened across this lovely cafe. Clean, tidy, staff polite (and busy) and refreshments reasonably affordable. A wide selection to choose from. The ice cream we had was delicious, lots of ice cream loaded onto the cornets and filled right into the cone, not something you get so much these days. We sat in with our drinks and cornets/cones, tables are good fun for the kids (and adults) and they made a change from the standard cafe table, themed and fun. Interesting was also the info on the walls of the cafe. See photo. We would most definitely return. As we were on holidays we could not take away the 500ml/litre or more of our favourite ice cream which is available to purchase in take away tubs. It says that in the winter they do chocolate themed things so we might have to return to sample. Chocolate bars were available (and they looked great.) As one of the party has nut allergies, it is always difficult eating out, buying new products. We were reassured by the notices but also the other info available.

Was filled with dirty tables which have been dirty for for a long time to be fair the staff were busy on their phones and the toilet looked like it hasn’t been cleaned since opening which is very nice for young kids and women

We just wanted to enjoy a fresh cuppa & cappuccino with scones etc. A nice compact parlour with seating inside, to enjoy.

Came back to this lovely place again and after a bad experience last year, has been very good staff are friendly and well worth visiting we are still here and happy to visit again !

The banoffee ice cream was divine. Also had 2 iced coffee which were good. No complaints and good service too.

Really love this ice cream so many flavours to choose from I never know which one to pick.But really like the honeycomb.But they will put whatever you want in well as many as they can fit.Lovely friendly service.And spotless

Lovely ice cream, quirky tables and really friendly staff. Sought out this place as had read it was nut safe ice cream... Not easy thing to find! My boys (3 & 5) had a strawberry cone and a chocolate orange cone... Kept them quiet for many minutes! My partner had the best salted caramel ice cream he's ever had and I indulged in a cream tea sundae, which was delicious! Definitely a highlight of our holiday!

Although we attended quite late on what was obviously a busy Sunday for them, we were made very welcome and although missing some ingredients they staff still made us up A Honeycomb and Banana split The staff member who served us was friendly and helpful, and the Ice Cream was superb and very welcome after a hot day out on the Dart Thank you

We visited here when a trip to Dartmouth and we having real difficulty finding somewhere to eat, all cafes very busy. The reason for loving this place was that they only sold ice creams, coffee, etc but no food but invited us to go next door to a bakery buy some bakeries and return to the parlour where they gave us plates, etc. to eat our lunch. Never come across this before but found them so welcoming. Plus their ice cream was amazing and rounded off the visit perfectly. A must place to go.

Stopped for ice creams in Quay car park Kingsbridge today. Very helpful charming young fellow serving and the ices were fabulous. Can’t pass there without having another. BEST IN THE WEST

The parlour was a really nice place to be and the ice cream tasted amazing! The staff were efficient and friendly and were constantly washing their hands which was good to see. The seating area was lovely, I liked the booths as was more private. The parlour was spotless!

Visited in September, bought two tubs of ice creams with two scoops in each tub, extensive choice of ice cream flavours on offer, the ice cream choices we made were really nice, although we thought slightly expensive at £5 per tub. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely selection of flavours, and a generous portion so I didn’t mind paying a bit more than I usually would. Cute interior and decor with a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great coffee too. Would recommend the chocolate honeycomb especially!! Will return soon.

Beautiful icecream on a well flavoured waffle cone what more could I ask for. A 3 Scoop large is £6 which is a strong price point but I do recommend the strawberries and cream flavour

With many inventive ice cream flavours, high cleaning standards, a good viable Covid regime, and great helpful staff, it is an enjoyable diversion yo visit Salcombe Dairy.

This is a lovely little cafe/ice cream parlour in Dartmouth. We came in for a tea before our river cruise with our son. He has sensory issues with food and drink and one of ladies running the place understood. She let us give him one of his own drinks whilst we were having our tea. This seems a simple little thing but believe me its rare that establishments let you do this. I didn't get a proper chance to say thank you as we were rushing for our boat but you saved us from a meltdown.

Overall a good choice for an ice cream - decent sized scoop of ice cream for the price. However as our visit was on a busy afternoon so they had sold out of some flavours. Thankfully there were still enough left to choose from!

Got two single scoop cones , fantastic creamy ice cream and loads of it considering it was just one scoop , Great flavours and lovely on a warm day ,

Made more than one visit to the ice cream parlour, as the choice is good with about 20 or so flavours and fair prices for the size of scoops you receive. I had a double cone with chocolate and popcorn, each of which tasted delicious...

By late afternoon they had sold out of some flavours so our choice was limited. Can't really comment as our choice was so limited.

A hot day and nothing better than a decent ice cream. This place offers many variety of flavours and cone types, Staff are friendly and portion are good. The ice cream tasted lovely and not the cheap rubbish you tend to get so excellent place to go for nice fresh ice cream

Salcombe Dairy is entirely nut free as everything is made on the premises. This made my 7 year olds sons holiday, The ice cream is absolutely delicious too - would highly recommend the Stem ginger or the Honeycomb. My boys would recommend the sprinkle cones and chocolate ice cream. The parlour is lovely too as you can see them making the ice cream. Whilst not the cheapest for one scoop - they are incredibly generous and I don't think you'd need more than one.

Had very nice ice cream here and we were allowed to sample the flavours before buying. My partner is gluten intolerant. so they helpfully went to the stock room to get gluten free cones for him. very efficient

My wife and I recenly had icecreams here. We both had chocolate dipped wafle cones. My wife had Salted caremel and I had clotted cream vanilla, they were both delicious.

It’s true you pay for quality & at £3 a cone these ice creams aren’t cheap but my goodness - they’re worth it! It’s a holiday treat so treat yourself to a delicious icecream served by friendly staff in a pristine parlour! Be warned - sea gulls like ice creams too!

You must support the local businesses and this is one. Ice cream to make you holiday special and chocolate to try. Delicious!

Called in here because my wife wanted a taste of her childhood - a knickerbocker glory.

They are very dog friendly and provided fresh water for our two old labradors.

Tried this establishment for the first time this year and had a knickerbockerglory- I'll admit it, it nearly beat me! Very good indeed. Ample fruit, sauces and ice cream. Quite a quiet location in front of the harbour. Dog friendly

Stopped in for a treat, a couple of ice cream sundaes. Very nice, great tasty ice cream. Place itself is not overly fancy, but does the job. Good coffee as well.

Tried my favourite, raspberry ripple , my gosh, it was amazing, full of flavour, loved it. The staff were brilliant, really friendly, so shout out for them too, x

We visited this ice cream parlour twice in the same day. Firstly in the morning for a cappuccino - both the 'normal' and decaff were great and the service was fantastic. In the afternoon we popped in for an ice cream - really delicious but even a single scoop is huge - almost too much (it feels wrong to suggest ice creams can be too big!!!!!)

We have been here nearly every night! They close at 9pm in the summer. Lovely ice cream and not expensive.

From the moment we came, we were greated by a smile and served quickly. The ice cream is definitely award winning and so happy to find some vegan and gluten free options.

Decided to pop in for a sundae with my daughter. Arrived and sat in one of the snugs at the back but was not told if we had to queue or if we would be served. Took the girl 10 minutes to serve the people in the adjoining snug and then she bypassed us and went to the next snug. After it took her 20 minutes to make 4 sundaes instead of coming to talk to us to apologise she decided to put everything away, eat the remains of the cones and wipe down. After being in there 45 minutes without even being spoken to or acknowledged, we left. Yes the ice cream is great but the service is terrible! We are locals and will not be using it again!

Salcombe Ice Cream is amazing, I had two scoops for three days in a row and loved every flavour - the Madagascar vanilla and the banana were my favourites, my wife loved the caramel flavour - simply delicious.

Great selection of quality ice-cream. Great place for children. Nice place too if you just want a coffee. Throughly enjoyed our visit. The staff very friendly and helpful. Would defo return.

The ice-cream at Salcombe Dairy is amazing and tastes exactly as you would expect it to. Having tried their chocolate that is stunning too and the sundaes look fantastic..... have to visit Salcombe Dairy every time I go into Dartmouth.

We were just fancying an ice cream one afternoon whilst wandering around Royal Avenue Gardens and so we went to the Salcombe Dairy Parlour by the boat pool. I chose the Dulce de Leche (which is the first time I've seen this flavour) and it was absolutely delicious and so was my OH's. Also very friendly staff.

A lovely little ice-cream parlour, who offer gluten free cones; a real treat. The decor is lovely inside; the perfect place for a quick stop.

On a winter's day one would normally go for a hot drink, but we discovered this cute place by parking right outside this parlour. Seeing that they served coffee we went inside. Seeing the range of icecreams we were tempted as week as having the coffee. The menu on the glass topped tables ( containing sand and assorted beach artifacts including Nemo and Dory!) showed knickerbocker glory and banana split etc.

Loads of flavours of ice cream to choose from. My wife and I opted for a milkshake made with 2 scoops of chocolate orange ice cream. It is easily the best milkshake we have ever had. Excellent service with a smile too.

The ice cream here is beyond good. Lots of flavours, some unusual ones like the Salcombe mud, but worth a try. Ice cream is pricey these days but scoops were large and cones were the waffle type. You are also able to sit inside to eat which is a good option. Establishment clean and everything well presented. Would recommend.

The ice cream was excellent and good value for Dartmouth in the summer. Dogs allowed inside, also has a water bowl for dogs. Sorbets for those who can't have milk.

Excellent ice cream but loads of staff stood around chatting while one person serves. Terrible service and I have been three times in the last month and the same each time. Will go elsewhere from now on.

Great selection of ice creams and some different ones not seen before like chocolate honeycomb.... best of both! Place is always busy and seems to be ran by rather young individuals. Nothing wrong with that, could just do with more of them!

To the owners - you have a wonderful product and a captive audience so please put some money into your staffing. We visited today and the public were queuing out of the door. We sat at the back in the ice cream parlour and after choosing from the menu decided to re join the queue at the front of the shop as the two boys serving ( one of whom was definitely underage) were doing their best but were clearly overwhelmed. However, as my husband made his way to the front of the enormous queue one of the boys came to take our order. Meanwhile, I went to the WC to find a badly soiled toilet, dirty sink and an empty soap bottle. Not a good sign in an eating establishment. The ice cream was perfect but the cappuccino which came straight from the machine was tepid. I didn't have the heart to tell the boys as they were clearly doing their best but were so, so busy.

Salcombe ice cream is made down the road. The variety is great and very tasty Portions are very generous. A single is two scoops.

What a selection of flavours. My husband boring had vanilla I wanted something new. Turkish Delight flavour was indeed a delight on the palate.

Every time I visit Dartmouth I stop at this place. The ice cream is delicious and the portions are very generous. I always receive very good service.
