So I've been compelled to update my review of this quaint little pub. We have been coming here multiple times a year for the last 6 years. It is always the highlight of our trip and the food is the gold standard of great pub food.
Our latest trip here was nothing short of that. With the french food magician (Dom) injured and out of action, the food was still to his high standard (so a huge congratulations to the kitchen staff).
Even though they were understaffed they made us feel welcome and any problems were quickly resolved, with apologies and an amazing sense of humour. Thanks Adam for being a great barman! Of course we will be back in a few months for a next trip down here.
Excellent view. Great selection of specials. Seafood heaven. Lovely selection of pastries too.
Additional bonus: They sell bait for fishing and crabbing.
My family and I have visited the Church House Inn a number of times and it is a fantastic pub for all seasons. There is always a cosy fire in the winter and the garden is a treat for when the sun is shining! The service is fantastic, very welcoming and friendly staff, and to top it all off the food is particularly excellent. Highly recommend as a destination!

Only visited for a Spa Day wlth a cream tea, but everything about the hotel, the spa and the staff were great.
The spa itself is beautifully presented, well
Looked after with everything you need in a spa.
The terrace with the views across to Hope Cove is stunning.
We look forward to returning again.
Fantastic lunch here. I had ana amzing salad with beautifully crafted greens and butter beans as well as homemade hummus and the best Mediterranean roasted vegetables in Devon. The dressing was amazing and I believe they sell this to customers to take home. A fantastic spot and reasonably priced. Pleasant staff, it’s one to try!
Absolutely amazing! Friendly staff to start off. Chicken was absolutely incredible! Pizzas were lovely and warm. Pasta was hot and tasty. Overall, incredible experience. Highly recommend
Would have loved to tried to food this is a warm welcoming pub and the food smells and looks amazing we will try and come back to give it a go fantastic menu too👍
Really nice historic, family run pub in the quietest little village. Really good food every time (especially Toms chips!)
Stayed the night and had such a good sleep, woke up to the birds and a sunrise too!
Ring ahead if you're unsure of times or what's on the menu, everyone's super friendly.
Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone!
The French Patisserie at Saveurs is incredible, with delicious cakes, coffee and bread; highly recommend!
We had coffee and raspberry chocolate browny; wow, wow wow!
We also had pear flan with amazing buttery pastry; so good.
Its difficult if you are just visiting, so we took away more delicious patisserie for later
Came here for lunch for a friend’s birthday a limited lunch menu but
everything we ordered was beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty renovations have been beautifully done staff were friendly and efficient a lovely country pub with a top notch chef
This pub was very traditional and had a very cosy vibe. The food was absolutely fantastic and all home cooked which me and my partner both loved. The staff were very kind and a nice selection of local drinks which I loved. If I lived closer this would definitely be my local!
Stumbled across this excellent deli on a wet January day in Dartmouth and had the best cream tea in a long time. Warm and fresh scones, delicious jam & clotted cream and nicely brewed fresh tea. The interior is very stylish & has a nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere with nice mellow music in the background. Great stuff.
