Absolutely delicious! Fish pie and ham egg and chips. Fish pie really tasty with jacket potato and peas, lots of lovely fish, salmon and prawns in delicious sauce generously topped with cheese! Ham is amazing. Gorgeous fluffy chunky chips. Super service and friendly helpful staff. A warm welcome and really looked after, thank you so much 😊👍🏻

After reading so many glowing reviews decided to give the Queens Arms a visit as it is in walking distance of the Camping and Caravanning Club Site we were staying on. What a mistake! Poor quality food, badly cooked, deep fried and microwaved. I had the fish pie. Indistinguishable grey lumps of "fish" in a slimey white sauce smothered in cheese to disguise the lack of fish. Accompanied by greasy chips (oil definitely stale), peas and side salad. In all truly disgusting. My partner fired no better. He had a chicken curry. Very little chicken and very little curry flavour. A disappointing experience we'd not recommend. And to add insult to injury when we tried to pay at the busy bar, both landlords were on their phones ignoring us. Poor service and terrible food, avoid.

Went for a walk from our holiday let and found our way to The Queen's Arms, unfortunately they were closing after lunch so after a hastily drank cider we went for a walk around Slapton Ley which was recommended by the Landlord. We came back 3 hours later for dinner. The food was delicious, I had the chicken and ham pie, it was the best pie I've ever eaten in a pub, the pastry was light and crumbly and the chunks of meat were huge and swimming in a very tasty gravy. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his handmade burger and the local cider we had was crisp and refreshing. The pub itself is a proper, old fashioned country pub the type of which is becoming all too rare. The people were incredibly friendly. We will definitely try and stop by again.

This pub is a nice little walk from Torcross along Slapton Ley and up the hill a bit. The food is excellent and the service good. There is also a lovely beer garden to sit in if the weather is good with lots of little private areas so you can sit somewhere quiet. I had the steak pudding which was really good although as a Northerner I like to have plenty of gravy on my steak pudding and this comes with none but I think having gravy on something that contains gravy is not a Southern thing. The chips are lovely too, nice and crispy. My husband had the hot chicken curry which had a very good flavour to it, although perhaps not very hot. The menu is very varied so I think you could eat here quite a few times without running out of things to try. I would definitely recommend this pub for a meal and I think it was good value for money too.

We popped in for a quick bite and the steak pasty did not disappoint and it was delicious. What we loved about it, it was hot 🔥 and full to the brim. It had a good portion of meat and it was well seasoned and tender. They had a lot of other savouries and sweets on offer and would recommend them all if the quality is the same as the pasties. I don't think you can do much about the atmosphere, 1 member of staff, empty shop and no noise, not even background music playing.

Great traditional pub that offers cheap food with great portions. A great asset to the town so expect a dart board, fire place and plenty of entertainment.
