I had breakfast here every day during my stay. The staff are always friendly and professional. Breakfast is self service except for eggs. Scrambled egg is available from the buffet but if you would like poached egg or egg Benedict. You order that from the waitress and it is bought to the table. Tea, coffee and toast are also table service. There is a good variety of food available including cereal, fresh fruit for English breakfast and Danish. It is a nice environment and it makes a nice start to today. Recommended.
We found this Italian spot late at night on our long trip from London to Wales, starving and worried everything was closing, so glad we did! The garlic pizza bread was incredible, the crispy calamari hit the spot, and the pasta and cannelloni were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Warm service, great food, and a cozy, satisfying atmosphere. Highly recommended!
A last minute booking, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We came with our baby and they helped us make space for the pram.
The food was all freshly cooked and delicious. I had the Thai green curry and the flavours took me straight back to Thailand.
Can't wait to return. 😋😀
Hardworking friendly new owner. Traditional uk cafe fayre at VERY reasonable prices. My son has just moved in around the corner and we have been using the cafe a fair bit while renovating his home. The food and welcome is great. Would definitely recommend. They even do traditional sunday roasts to eat in or take away.
We were out walking on a Friday afternoon and scurried into this community café because it had started to rain. We had dressed for moderately wet weather, but the wind was in our faces and thus better avoided. Besides the chance to have a sit-down, and a coffee, was too good to ignore.
The community café here in Lyde Green is housed in the community centre and, being well-after lunch-time, it was not too busy. We ordered two medium sized Americano Coffee’s with hot milk from the pleasant waitress at the servery. The coffee arrived promptly and it was acceptably hot, but sadly it was not very strong. It lacked the rich bitter flavours that we particularly like when we have a coffee out.
The cost was £2.75 per medium-sized cup, so it was about the going rate, but other local cafés provide a better, and stronger, cup of coffee.
This pub is an idyllic location. The bar and restaurant eating areas are brilliant. The garden is lovely quiet and off the beaten track. The food is very good pub food . I reluctantly say that this is a fabulous pub to match the best in the Cotswolds. I say this because I do not want it to be so busy when we return. Just the place for a great walk and a great lunch. The new owners deserve every success. The staff could not have been more helpful even reminding me my food was getting cold because I was chatting too much.
