Zest in South Gloucestershire

Went for dinner on Saturday evening with friend chose to go for the first time when they had entertainment (male singer). Wasn’t disappointed, food was very good, brilliant cocktails, staff very friendly and efficient. The singer was excellent the whole of the restaurant was dancing until close

Nice restaurant, excellent friendly service. Nice varied menu and good quality food. Can be noisy, but generally a good atmosphere.

Been to zest many times and always rated it a 5 unfortunately today if I could give it zero stars I would the waiter was pretty much a mute the vegetable mousaka is usually amazing today it was like runny ratatouille no firmness to it whatsoever couldn't see any layers at all. The belly pork had no crackling the crushed potato was dry and tasteless as were the vegetables. After we finished our main meal the waiter lent over the table picked my phone up and removed the clean serviette from under it not quite sure why. No one asked how our meal was. This is the first time myself and my husband have never left a tip when eating out. Toilets we not very clean either there's a notice that says don't put toilet paper down the toilet the bin was full with used toilet paper this is England not Greece!! Sadly won't be returning.

Lovely little restaurant offering a varied menu and a wide selection of cocktails. Waitress was friendly, food was tasty. No parking. Two steps up into restaurant.

Great prices, friendly staff and great vibes. I really like it when restaurants have monthly specials and offer a variety of options.

Really great choices on the menu here - Greek and Turkish dishes available. The service was friendly and quick and the food fabulously flavoursome. This was our first visit. It will not be our last.

what an amazing place - we ordered the Dinner for 2 and 3x3 course meals. The drinks came quick and so too did the starters. Really tasty. The mains arrived soon after and equally delicious. The desert topped everything off leaving us full to the brim with only positive feelings for this place. We'll definately be back.

Sorry but on coming and trying your 2 for one cocktails and coming not when two for one . Miss leading as 2 for one are half size. I'm sure that's called miss selling

Treated to lovely meal for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious, and catered to my allergy with no problem whatsoever. Staff very friendly. Definitely will go again!

Always first class service " with a smile". The food is excellent as is the two for one cocktails. The rump of lamb melted in my mouth , the sirloin steak was absolutely gorgeous as was the pork belly . All the food we have tried at Zest so far has been amazing.

Lovely little place very, food has always been fantastic, price it acceptable for quality of food. Polite and welcoming staff, service is perfect! This is very local to me and has used a number of times over the last few years. It is highly recommended!

We ate at Zest last minute after struggling to find anywhere in central Bristol. Have eaten here a few times before. The food is fantastic. A really well thought through menu, lots of great flavours and variety. Really fresh and clearly prepared with a lot of love and pride. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff

really delightful evening, food absolutely delicious! Mezze has such exquisite flavours, highly recommend and my sea bass was a very nice big fish, fresh and well prepared, all the food very fresh and vibrant. Our waitress was so patient with all our dietary concerns, and friendly. The food came really quickly, and the prices are highly competitive, would have paid a lot more in a restaurant in the city center. Loved everything about it, we wil definately be returning! We are all good cooks and hard to find a place that beats home cooking, Thanks so much!

Fantastic, great food, service and really good atmosphere, brilliant evening

We have been to Zest twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch. We loved it both times, we shared a veggie mezze and other dishes. It was all great, good portions and tasty. The staff is really friendly and it has a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming more often!

Fav place for a nice meal out. Loved their Christmas flavours combined with their Mediterranean flavours. Staff are all friendly too.

Lovely place, great food. Excellent customer service, we took a long time to choose our food because we were catching up and they didn't rush us, also at the end of the night our lift was late, they were closing up but allowed us to wait inside with no complaint. We'll definitely be back again.

Been here 3 times in last 2 months. Every time has been excellent. Friendly staff, nice surroundings, great value. Food is excellent, the hot mixed mezze, the lamb kleftico and the cheesecake all worth the visits. Good cocktails too.

A local spot in Hanham. We just wanted a light dinner and they were quick with bringing out our drinks and food which we were impressed with! We only ordered main meals this time and it was amazing value for the amount of food you get.

Having lived nearby Zest for years, we have been meaning to try it and aren't we glad we did. Went on Saturday evening for drinks and food, it was nice and busy and a fab atmosphere, the food was yummy, the cocktails were lovely but the service was 10/10 -very attentive for a busy night and we are so glad we went here instead of heading into the city centre. Support this lovely local restaurant, you won't regret it!

Visited on a Thursday evening and it was quite quiet however this didn't make any difference to us. Food was lovely, my friend had the chicken skewers and I had the mezze, both were really tasty. Staff were friendly.

Nice little restaurant on Hanham High Street. We were there on a Tuesday evening in September and were the only diners. Music was quite loud but volume reduced on request. We were caught out by the 2 cocktails for £11 offer - it means you get two cocktails each!

Absolutely delicious food. We had the mixed grill for 2 and it was amazing. Fab staff, lovely cocktails and a really nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We visited on a Saturday evening and had a great time. The food and cocktails are soo tasty! Best piña colada i’ve had in a long time. the calamari and pork belly were really nice. Staff were very friendly too - will definitely return.

Great place for food . Very friendly staff. My only gripe would be not enough room between chairs once sitting down. Unisex toilets , nice and clean just the two of them . We had 3 cocktails for the price of 1 . They have mixed offers on food Monday -Thursday. Food was freshly cooked. Some was over cooked . Liquor coffees they gave the wrong ones to each of us . However we found this funny and just laughed it off. Definitely a place I’ll come back to again . Price ££. More expensive Friday -Sunday. Didn’t see any parking.. Not a place for wheelchairs.

Popped in on the off chance they had a table after passing it for a long time and saying we must try there! From service, to food, prices, it was perfect!

I was shopping in Hanham with my wife this week and noticed Zest was open, so we popped in, it was very quiet but were told it had only been open for lunch a few days, and the weather was awful! We started with a couple of coffees which were really good, we didn’t understand everything on the menu but the young gentleman explained it to us, he recommended the two Turkish egg dishes which we ordered, and have to say we were not disappointed. I had the poached eggs with yogurt and my wife had the scrambled eggs with tomato and spicy sausage both with Turkish bread; there were some lovely desserts but we were too full - definitely be back to try them!!!

We have come here a few times and the food quality is always good :) Not a fan of how much ice was in the cocktails. There has been a recent change of seating from high bar stools to lower sofas. It's definitely a good change 👌 much more comfortable. We had a small lunch and ordered a few different starters in stead of mains. All under £5 each. Can't wait to come again 😀

So after a disappointing visit 2 years ago I decided to try zest again. Staff were pleasant albeit a bit keen. Ordered Halloumi starter which came out as 2 thin pieces, overcooked on a bit of salad and drizzle. As the plates were cleared out came out maim course within seconds! The lamb was delicious but wasn't very big and with a few potatoes and sauce. At £19.00! I feel this was disappointing and most people would leave hungry. Sorry Zest, you need to up your game. Italian kitchen Hanham all day long for me...

My wife and I just fancied a mid week treat and we’ve been meaning to come here for ages . The Zest is a real jewel in the high st. On a cold wet winters evening it was a bright , warm welcoming reminder of summer holidays . T The atmosphere is lovely and feels and sounds like you should be on a Greek island. The food is gorgeous the staff friendly and efficient . We shall be back .

Fantastic meal friendly staff can't recommend it enough

My wife & I visited at 20:30 yesterday having booked on-line about 10 days earlier. We arrived a little early and had to wait for our table to be ready. We were soon seated and ordered a bottle of Montepulciano d'abruzzo and 2 glasses. This was served promptly. A few minutes later our order was taken, we had the sharing mezze for two to start (£9.95), for mains I ordered Sirloin steak (well done £18.95) and my wife ordered grilled salmon (£14.95) The sharing mezze soon arrived - a platter of stuffed vine leaves, Hummus, tzatziki, couscous, baba ganush, pilaki beans, falafel, halloumi , koftas and pitta bread. This was very nice and was well enjoyed. Our main courses arrived in a timely way, my steak came with a large mushroom , chips and a peppercorn sauce, all excellent. My wife enjoyed her grilled salmon too. We were too full for a dessert. Service was excellent throughout , the background noise was high as the restaurant was quite full, ambient lighting was a bit low for me. Total bill was £60.80 plus tip - we enjoyed the experience of dining at Zest.

Went to zest when they were in gloucster rd and now in hanham the staff are brilliant the food was fantastic as always lovely atmosphere and good prices can't wait to go again

Not a bad restaurant but I don't think I'd visit again. Staff were perfect. It was reasonably busy but the food was nothing special.

After wandering around this area looking for somewhere nice to eat we found Zest and were pleasantly surprised. We both had meze meals one with meat and one vegetarian and both were very good. It was busy but not noisy. The staff were friendly but one man in particular was in control and very good at cleaning and clearing the tables.

Nice restaurant in a good location, no parking, but parking nearby. Good menu for food and cocktails, definitely worth a look, booking in advance is recommended.

Brilliant food and excelent cocktails. Staff are polite and professional. Barmens know what they are doing and so as waiters and cheffs. One of the best if you are looking for a chill and quiet food and drink. Thank you Zest it was a pleasure to be your customer.

Visited here for some lunch, and everything was perfect. The food is outstanding with lots of gluten free options available. The service was very good and nothing was too much for them. Lots of cocktails available so would be a nice place to visit in the evening as well. We will definitely be back!

We had heard great things about Zest but were a bit disappointed. The food was nice (and good size of portions) but nothing special. Service was friendly but a bit haphazard, perhaps because they were busy. The restaurant was full, with little room between tables, which wasn’t great from a covid perspective but also meant it was very noisy and I had to strain to hear my friends. May try again on a weekday evening.

Fabulous meze, freshly made and super tasty. Very friendly welcome. Fairly priced. Good atmosphere.
