The best restaurants in Poole South West

Family friendly pub, staff are very polite and attentive, food is very good and cheap! Would highly recommend

2 haddock and chips. Absolutely beautiful. Curry sauce was different than the usual, but very nice. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning.

Ditch those cardboard boxes! They’re making the batter soft, the fish overcooked and the chips soggy. You used to be the best.

I love this place. Before we moved away from Ringwood in 2019, we must have frequented this for meals and various events over 20 times. I’ve hosted events here and attended shows and meetings here too. Back for a weekend to celebrate a friend’s major birthday, we were always going to stay here. It has improved somewhat, making our stay even more enjoyable. Staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are immaculate and the food is fantastic. My only gripe is that the bar closes for everyone, including residents, when there are no people in the bar. We turned up at 11pm to find the bar and tills closed and no chance of a nightcap. Other than that, impeccable.

The food was fine. The wait was what brought it down. Otherwise delicious.

Me and my granddaughter love this place the members are so nice and the give good eye contact. Every time we go to poole we go to shakeaway FIRST! We love this place ❤️

Ordered a Sausage Bap, Bacon Bap and a Bacon and Mushroom Bap. The sausage and bacon baps were ok but the Bacon and Mushroom Bap looked horrendous (see photo)

One of the better kfc branches, Atmosphere is better than other locations, Food always has arrived hot the staff have always been friendly and helpful. We had asked for a tower burger to be cut in half and they were very obliging to our requested. My only criticism would be that the tables could do with being wiped down a little more frequently during busy times.

This place is a bit pricey and the food was just so-so. I wouldn't bother going there unless you're staying in the hotel. As a bar, it's expensive but nice (amazing location). But when we came back later for dinner the £30 steak, which I had ordered medium rare was medium well, and the veg with the fish was very very salty. The chicken parmgiana was served with spaghetti that seemed to have come from a tin, both in terms of the texture and the sauce. But it did the job. The staff are friendly, if not particularly quick with anything.

Thank you for the food! It arrived much quicker than expected, which was a great surprise. Everything tasted lovely, especially the Singapore Chow Mein – highly recommended. Also, really appreciated the prawn crackers that came with the order. I’d definitely order again!
