We’ve always been loyal to this Chinese takeaway – it used to be our absolute favorite. For years, it was our go-to place for a Chinese and we never had any complaints. Unfortunately, after a long break, we decided to give it another try, and we were quite disappointed. The quality has really taken a dive. Not sure if the chefs have changed but it was noticeably different. The food just didn’t have the same appeal – it felt like a completely different place. We were hoping for the same great experience, but it’s clear that the standards have slipped. It’s sad to say, but we’ll probably be looking elsewhere for our Chinese takeaway fix from now on.

Took 30 minutes to get our first drink and about 45 minutes to get our food order, food was basic at best and my pizza was dry and just had pepperoni on it, very basic and not very nice. Finished food and they left our plates on the table for one hour, waited for 2nd round of drinks for over 45 minutes, at which point we asked for the bill due to the delay. The staff had a no care attitude, we’re totally disorganised and completely chaotic. When you come for a meal whilst being on holiday you expect professional standards and a restaurant to want their customers to have a nice time, neither applies in this case. Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in many years - avoid at all costs!!

Best gluten free fish and chips you will find, worth the trip from Bournemouth!!! Big variety of gluten free items including curry sauce and vinegar, delicious!

I walked into the store late Sunday afternoon. The door was open, no signs that the coffe shop is closed. A barrista was serving another customer. Without any greeting or apology, he just blurped out: "We close. We closed, Mam. " I left the shop, while another customer was still beeing served. The store either should have cloze doors or serve all customers equally.

I am very disappointed, the food is of poor quality, poor products and not tasty at all, so I do not recommend it to anyone, as you can see in the picture it does not look appetizing, and in addition it is in aluminum boxes, which is not healthy for people

Uninterested staff and poorly cooked, greasy food. The food portion size is a joke compared to what they charge for it, the place is uninviting and cold. The individual cooking was more interested in her paper than she was in what she prepared. When this place was the Oakdale Fisheries it was 1st class… now, you’re better off heading to the Tatnam or to Creekmoor to spend your money.

Was quite sceptical after reading the derogatory reviews, but had no need to worry. Picked up two large haddock with chips at the time ordered. Quite delicious fish, one of the best I have eaten. Will definitely return.

Ordered a takeaway at 6.45 for delivery at 8.15... 8.45 still no food. Called and was told it would be at least another half an hour, so at least 2 and a half hours from order time!!!No discount offered, no notification that it would be late-very late. If I could've cancelled and got something else quicker I would've. Very disappointed with the service,and customer service.

Although it was quick delivery times the food was bland with the meat and noodles having little to no flavour. I normally save the leftovers for lunch the next day but on this occasion it went straight in the bin. Won't be using again. Very disappointed 😞

I’ve come across a few negative reviews online, and frankly, I find them baffling. In all the times we’ve ordered from Charlie’s Chicken, not once have we been disappointed. The food is always prepared with care, bursting with flavour, and served with exceptional quality. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a place that understands food on a deeper level. For anyone who hasn’t experienced Charlie’s Chicken yet, I urge you to check out their menu on their website and treat yourself. Trust me, once you try it, especially the Naga Chicken, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. Five stars simply don’t do it justice—it’s a culinary gem that deserves every bit of praise. Popped in for a quick lunch on day trip to Poole, as cafe looked very neat and tidy and menu appealing. Turned out to be a good choice. We had a toasted panini and cheese and onion quiche with salad. Both excellent. Efficient and friendly service. Sorry we did not have time to call later for one of the cakes! Great asset to the town.

Shakeaway have always been lovely and friendly. However, a new woman has become manager (older lady with grey hair, black glasses, grey hoodie. Not even in uniform!) and she is incredibly rude to not only staff but customers as well. She has a go at a newer staff member in front of a shop full of people as well as me because I was transferring money between accounts. She also decided to tell a staff member she wasn’t allowed to do an allergen-specific shake because she didn’t trust her, that she would just do it herself. What a poor manager? What a poor service.

Estimated Delivery time 60 Mins from ordering, arrived an hour and 40 minutes later. Meal was warm at best and the smallest portion of rice and naan possible. Charged £1.00 delivery for 1/4 mile if that! Fab when it was the previous Joy but won’t be using these again.

Bland , chicken well over cooked , bombay potatoes dry and no spice . Rice was good naam bread dry and think it was yesterday's. Sack the chef . Sorry 😞 not good

I've been a regular customer to hortons over the years, but today's service was so bad I won't be using them again. I get a 45 minute lunch break.. 15 minutes of that was spent waiting to order because they had a family of 5 place an order before me and clearly couldn't cope with a group order. After finally ordering, 5 minutes goes by before I'm told they can't do my food so I said no problem I'll just have the milkshake then that I had ordered... another 15 minutes goes by and I still don't have my milkshake. At this point I have 10minutes left of my lunch break, so I proceeded to walk out and and quickly ordered some food from premier bites opposite. I never did get my milkshake from hortons or able to get a refund as no one was attending the till even after I had ordered and collected a hot panini from Premier bites... Hortons has gone down hill ever since the kids took over. On the other hand I can recommend premier bites opposite. Lots of love the RJ lift engineer.
