Chop Wok Oriental Cuisine in Poole

Ordered online, which said estimated 35-45 minute delivery time. 1hr 20 mins later I called as no delivery. They said yes we've got the order we'll get onto it. Food eventually delivered 25 minutes after that. The food was good, no complaints there. But do not order online as they might neglect your order until you chase it.

Turned up nearly 30 minutes late (past the 1hr 15min slot) and cold. But once heated up in the microwave it was nice enough. I will reserve future orders from here and using just eat in the future. It’s a real shame.

We ordered a takeaway away which was delivered very quickly and the food was delicious, and very generous portions, we will definitely be using this restaurant again.Our order consisted of Nasi Goreng, Chip Woks special Chow Mein, 2 Pancake Rolls and Spare Ribs with Peking sauce

Wok-tastic!!! I had Chop Wok's Special with noodles 🍜, spring rolls and prawn crackers. I checked the Hygiene Score before I went in - 5/5 so a great start. Great customer service from the young gentleman on the till. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I paid with cash, which you should always do, as they lose money if you pay by card. There's a cashpoint outside Tesco Express a couple of doors down if you don't have any on you. The one thing I'm usually let down with in Chinese takeaways are the spring rolls, but not this time. They were cooked to perfection - wonderful crispiness outside and delicious inside. Tasty noodles and great prawn crackers. I have attached photos and a copy of the menu. It's my new favourite takeaway. Thank you Chop Wok! Nom nom nom 😋

Tofu was decent, chilli beef decent, the chow mein, salt & pepper chicken and the salt and pepper chips unfortunately were very bland and had hardly any flavour at all. Overall was disappointing for a £50 spend.

Chicken Curry and egg fried Rice. Delivered in time suggested. Absolutely Tasteless both. The free Prawn crackers were better. Will not use Chop Wok again. Points out of 10, minus. I rang and complained and got no answer, then the phone was put down on me. Awful, awful service. Stay away.

Always full of taste and good portions

Very poor food quality. Tasted like off oil, rice was flavourless and Thai crackers were burnt.

Beef tough, chicken very chewy( woody) crispy seaweed doesn't taste good prawn crackers are good rice nice won't be bothering again bad quality for price waste of money go somewhere else my advice

The food was, as usual, delicious. The only negatives are the cost of delivery and the little add ons the quickly add up and it’s only these that prevent me from ordering much more often.

My only complaint. Meal for 2? Perhaps they mean 2 days. We have enough left for tomorrow night as well. Lovely grub.

Food was super fast, and nice. The soup could have had abit more flavour, everything else was good.

Although the food was nice, we ordered a portion of crispy shredded beef in honey chili. What turned up was about quarter of a portion. Not even enough for one person. A total rip off as it's not cheap.

Ordered plain chow mein as my daughter not feeling very well and all she wanted, £5.60 for 70% bean sprouts and onion and 30% noodles. Noodles were nice when most bean sprouts removed but obviously didny leave much. definitely focusing on profit and how they can make it the cheapest way. Not been here before and unfortunately won't be going again which is a shame as my closest

first off it said enjoy your food but wasn't delivered I asked for no vegetables in the chow mein and got vegetables, and it said large but wasn't food was average won't order again

Sorry but delivery was nearly an hour late, noodles were missing & had to arrange to be re-delivered. Chicken soup & Spring rolls were nice. However we had dry Prawn dumplings, bland noodles, chewie beef in Oyster sauce and stale Prawn crackers. Very disappointed.

Sad to say that egg fried rice and Singapore rice noodles were very bland! Very little oil and very little flavour!

The food arrived early which was great but unfortunately the quality wasn't good at all. The chicken satay skewers were really dry, the satay sauce was really watery and didn't taste of anything. The ribs were mostly fat and very little meat, the sweet chilli sauce was also very watery. The special chow mein was really bland. The prawn crackers were nice.

Average tasting food. They do not accept card payments even though they have a card machine in the shop, you will be sent to the Cash Machine next door... Wonder why that is... They give you coupons for money off but when you try and use them strangely they are unable to accept.... I am done with them

If I could have give this a lower rating I would have. We have been using this chinese for years when it was kengs garden it was beautiful food, however new owners have taken over and what a mess they are making of it we couldn't eat our order the ribs had no meat at all on the bone and was literally just bone not even any sauce in the container, the noodles had some very weird powdery coating on which made then uneatable and the chicken satay skewers well the sauce was like a flavoured water so because of this we rang to say the food was awful and could not be eaten we was told we wasnt allowed a refund and the guy came to our door to collect food he was very very rude to my partner who also pointed out that we was never told this was a new ownership and was no longer kengs garden absolutely disgraceful I'm now looking for a new chinese takeaway

Chop Wok. Has had a face lift and re-opened tonight. New menu as well. I had a great duck chow mein.

This was our takeaway for 7 years to recently. This restaurant was taken over in the summer, with new management. So we ordered the usual and noticed the sweet & sour balls were half' the size they used to be. They were dry and tasteless. Then we rang to say there were no prawn crackers, which usually came with the order as a free dish, but they said not anymore. Our crispy chicken dish was awful , and for the beef, no taste either. So we feed this polity back to the new owners, which they were not at all interested in. So we won't use them any longer as they are not interested in keeping custom . I'm am glad.we found a better nearby takeaway.

I've tried the place several times over the past decade. I wouldn't choose to buy their version of Chinese food. There's much better places to choose from. I fault the service nor the people who are polite and friendly. The shop itself inside and out does nothing to inspire confidence in the food you're getting. Or the cleanliness of what you can't see for example the kitchen. It's rough.

Been a customer for 15 years but just lately the quality has gone downhill

Ordered online after 55 minutes it arrived spring rolls were luke warm and onion fried rice was pineapple rice. Took it back for a refund and noticed on bank app I'd been charged twice. Once for the order ID wanted and once for the order they delivered asked for a refund of both amounts . They said no. Wanted to talk to his manager. Steer well clear of this place their Cowboys.

When I came in I was not impressed by the rude manner I heard the manager speaking to her staff in. It made me feel very uncomfortable! The food was undercooked and the place was very unsanitary and dirty! Never come here if you want a decent meal. This place should be shut down!

We was recommended this Chinese. Went in to order, after placing order noticed how dirty the place was. How they have a 5 on food hygiene is a miracle. Floor looked like it’s never been cleaned. Ants on the floor too. Food was tasteless, chips was unbeatable as full of grease. Special fried rice had 2 bits of meat in it, and no taste what so ever. AVOID Never going back.

Order was wrongly delivered, messed up evening, no flavour, slushy mixture, beef Rock hard grizzle, chicken balls fatty, absolutely disgusting and I've had better frozen Chinese meals from Iceland store. Appalling!!!! Only good thing was pleasant delivery driver whom we tipped.

Can't praise them high enough. Absolutely gorgeous food, promptly delivered (usually a lot earlier than quoted) and always hot and plenty of it. Will always use Kengs Garden as long as they keep going.

Been coming here for 10 years, in my opinion the best value Chinese takeaway in the Bournemouth and Poole area. Good food at a very reasonable price and a reliable delivery service. The online ordering system on their website saves you even more money. Superb.

Order a meal for four very fast delivery but food was not up to standard. My wife and I ordered from this restaurant this evening, the transaction to order our food worked excellently and my bank account was swiftly debited of the appropriate amount to ensure the swift delivery of our meal. After patiently waiting for over an hour for our delivery I began to became a touch concerned for the welfare of our delivery driver and the other staff members as they were not answering the phone and it due to it taking over an hour to travel The very short distance from wallisdown road to my house, I was worried he may have got lost so I decided to make my way to the takeaway only to find it closed, I found this very strange as they were still willing to take my money even though they were not open. I would like my money back along with some compensation!!!!!! Absolutely livid!!🤬🤬🤬🤬

Delivery took 3 times as long as stated

I have ordered here several times with no issues. When it’s a quiet day you get your order pretty fast, especially if local. Good food and good value. I’d have reviewed sooner but forgot!

They forgot my order last time and I have them another try this evening. Ordered at 6.15pm and told it would be an hour and 15 mins. It's now nearly 9pm and no food and I presume they have taken the phone off the hook as it's permanently engaged. Annoying thing is I've already paid them with my card. Disappointed

This is the worse meal I have had. How can you justify charging £350 for an egg fried rice and a bit of curry sauce chucked on top. Every other time I was able to buy a separate curry sauce for £180 and rice for the same and for some reason I couldn't buy the curry sauce separately. I.wont be using you again. Complete rip off. Never had a bad meal. Always on or before time when delivering. Only one mistake but turned out to be a good one as I had never tried Cantonese beef before, blooming delicious

Always good food. Never greasy and always within the hour even on a weekend. They have a great website to order from to avoid the JustEat fees (and you get a 10% discount at the time of me writing this)
