What a fantastic evening food was lovely would recommend it to my friend and family. Everyone enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant.

Had the Christmas Dinner as a works do. The service was excellent, well looked after. And the food was delicious. Would definatly recommend

Came here with my sister for drinks and some food. Great service from staff who were friendly and had a chat with me. The regulars at the pub were friendly and were up for a chat and a laugh. The manager was quick to deal with any issues and made sure customers were happy and having a good time. Would recommend. Tish

Went on Tuesday evening with our brother and sister in law down from the Cotswolds.Had a few drinks and ordered food.I had the burger,wives had the lasagna and salad and brother in law had the gammon and eggs. All the meals were really well presented and very tasty. They couldn’t get over the very reasonable prices. We eat here often and it’s always nice food. We always find the staff very friendly. I would also like to thank one of the customers who offered us his booth when we were looking for a table for 4 as he was sat on his own. This is a really great Pub for meeting up and enjoying good food. We used to use the Grasshopper Pub nearby but after reading their reviews and seeing their prices we quickly changed to the Churchill. Recommended.

We had a lovely evening, we had a few drinks and would highly recommend the hunters chicken. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Poole

Took my grandad here for food, had an absolutely delicious roast! He got a pensioners meal which saved me some on the bill! Will come again soon.

I had the penshioners meal for £7.49. Homemade piping hot tomato soup, bloomer bread and butter. Full english btealfast, fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, fresh tomatoe, crispy chips all pipong hot. Jam and coconut sponge and vanilla icecream. The only thing i left was the bacon rind. Well cooked, piping hot, pleasantly served. This place is a gem in disguise.

Love this pub we have been going for dinner here for a few years everything has always been first class & the prices are great we travel from Lytchett minster caravan park about 5 miles. The staff are friendly everything is great see you next year 2025. Marilyn & Butch.xxxx

Just had the most amazing roast here I think they have a new chef. Was so hot. Turkey pigs in blanket, green beans, roast pots, red cabbage, carrots, stuffing and I upgraded to the massive Yorkshire pudding. Was really really nice and the price was really really cheap. Owen served us and was extremely efficient and polite.

We visited this pub today and we were told that they do not take food order for another 15-20 minutes. After the 15 minutes passed, we were told again that food order won't be taken for another 15-20 minutes. The pub was not busy and no reasonable explanation given.

Very accommodating and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Was able to adjust menu to suit dietary requirements at last minute. Food was prepared to a very high standard and steak was cooked to perfection and as requested. Would definitely recommend visiting and will return when in the area again.

The food is not strong English. People are great. But the food… It needs some love... I haven't found it yet ☺️

Went in the Churchill today about 4 30 i dont normally leave a review ordered fish n chip and all day breakfast was hot n tasty the fish was great light crispy batter not over done like some places and the fish was white n fresh inside my hubby's breakfast was done to perfection really tasty nothing left on our plates thank you to the new manger and staff complaints to the chef as I did say to the manger keep up the good work well done all

The Churchill is a great pub , friendly atmosphere, great food and very friendly, but you must try the Baby Guinness. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Great pub . Jason has made this a great place to eat and drink.

Popped in after some shopping to grab a cold drink and use the facilities. I don't make a habit of going in pubs but the lovely man behind the bar was so welcoming I stayed for food. It was delicious! Thank you for the warm welcome to the tall chap with the short hair. I will never hesitate again to come in.

I love this place so much! The people is very nice and kind! I love the food too it’s very good! In 23. August 2023 was our wedding there! Everyone was so kind and nice! We almost ever mounts we going there!

Quite rough and loud, food is okay as it's cheap. Some items are better than others. Typical pub grub. Don't order the cheesy garlic bread though, it's not worth it.

loving pub culture and always wanted to be one of a regular pub goer. In different cities or different counties even in a very specific of private the most possible comfort area yet siting among people like us and get to feel of being accepted created an impression of a pathetical self-pity moment. when come to realise many of different skin colours did tried either sincerely or compromisingly eventhough brush-off shining ahead the similar outcome. do enjoy promotion packs or combo by scan QR menu.

Fantastic all round. I have been twice in the last month, and everything is amazing. Great food, great atmosphere. All of the staff on both occasions were incredible, friendly people and the interior is beautiful. Genuinely one of the best I’ve visited in a long time. Flawless.

Went in for some food and a pint firstly I was under changed by around £2 when I ordered my food i asked for it to come out hot so as not to be disappointed waited for around 15/20 mins and it came out stone cold and missing my toast which came a few mins later also cold and stale wouldn't recommend food here but the beer was cold so that's a bonus

Food was pretty good, though I asked for a blue steak and it came medium. The staff were pleasant and tried their best, but we did have to wait a good 20 minutes plus for the food to come out. I think the main reason I wouldn't return, was just the number of heavy intoxicated middle aged men on an early Sunday afternoon. Definitely more early boozer Pub than a Sunday roast pub.

Came for lunch with a few friends, food was very good value for money, the 2 members of staff on were very friendly and had great chemistry with each other and the customers, you can tell that they enjoy their job. I had made an error in my order but Adam the manager was more than accommodating in resolving it and was very forgiving saying mistakes happen and changed my order with no extra charge. Abi was very friendly and was quick to pop over to check if everything was ok with our meal/drinks, which it certainly was. Great pub, great staff, Will coming back again soon.

A fantastic local pub with great quality customer service. Staff are friendly and provide quick and effective service. My servers Mel and Becca were excellent. I drink here regularly it has a great atmosphere for everyone and excellent food and drink with lots of options. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Ate here regularly last year, but haven’t been for a while, no reason, just busy. The food then was always good. Today the food was absolutely amazing, hot, tasty, arrived promptly, and the waitress was charming and attentive . We’ll be back!

4 seniors celebrate an 80th birthday at The Churchill pub on 29th January 2024. Only one person serving/taking food orders. We all ordered from the senior menu with drinks and food including a desert. After asking the young girl to take our empty plates, we asked for the desert menu and she told us we didn't ask for it when she took our lunch orders. The menu definitely said it included a desert in the price. The young girl was very impolite when questioning our complaint. She finally said she didn't care and walked off. She should have checked by looking at the print on the menu and asked if we wanted the desert as well as the main. How many other customers have been treated in this way by their staff . After one of our friends returned a few days later she spoke to a manager about our complain, all he said was sorry. Thats not good customer relations. So now they've lost our custom all because of a rude member of staff.

Really stsrting to see a change here recently. Steve, the Manager is very welcoming and is passionate about making this pub a great local.

Wait to long for meals and desserts

Popped in for a coffee and breakfast bap. Pleasantly surprised at the price and even more so at the quality when it came out. Highly recommend. I've also been in here for pints and pool - also highly recommend.

I booked a meal at The Churchill for when I was in Bournemouth.We have been to the Churchill many times during our frequent trips from Swindon. I feel that it is appropriate to comment on this particular visit particularly.after a most disappointing visit to the Robins Farm at Swindon. What was so impressive was the greeting and service by the young man Steve who was so attentive to us and others.His energy is to envied as we witnessed his hard work but that did not detract from his EXCEPTIONAL attention all with an engaging smile etc.... He is a truly remarkable and engaging man thatGreen King should value as he would be an aset to ANY establishment.We look forward to coming to the Churchill in the new year. Very many thanks.

We had the Christmas fayre menu . The food was very tasty,hot and good portions.the staff were very helpful and friendly very enjoyable evening.

Table booked for 12.30, kitchen not open til 13.00 (on a Sunday)!!! Ordered coffee whilst waiting took 15mins to arrive and was cold. Only food items available to order were turkey dinner, beef lasagne, had to make a special request for a vegetarian dish. Sadly when the food arrived the three lunches did not arrive at the same time and were only luke warm, by this time too worn out and frustrated to be bothered to complain. Beer requested was not available. Tin hat on the day, charged full price for meals not the price of two for a set price as advertised on the menu. What else can I say such a disappointing pre Christmas lunch having driven over from Southampton. On a positive note Clare the bar server managed to keep customers calm and engaged.

Don't know what's going on here. Booked a table for 12.30 for Sunday lunch. Our coffee took so long to arrive it was cold and had to be replaced. Things then went from bad to worse. At 12.30 found out food not being served till 1.00. Then found out only roast turkey and lasagne was being offered. Nothing else! Chef clearly didn't know what doing. We did eventually agree I could have veggie sausages as I am vegetarian. Beer wanted was not available. Ordered 3 meals, 2 arrived together and 1 later. Wasn't impressed with the food either which was not hot enough. The only bright spot was Clare, serving behind bar. So disappointed as my friends had travelled from Portsmouth area.

Went for an evening out with the family and had a great evening everyone in the pub was lovely star for great but Courtney was awesome

Change has come, not for the better.

I travelled from Birmingham to the Churchill to visit a friend. Great place for family of all ages,also a pillar of the community,ample parking and friendly staff. Prices are competitive for the area too.

Kourtney and Emma was a legend!! Made my experience at the Churchill worth while a wanting me to come back !!!!

Twice iv been now and on both times no food available even though phoned 1st to cheap they had food available

Visiting a friend in the area and just went for a local area walk to find something to eat. Popped in to The Churchill as it looked inviting. Lot of older clientele in there which to me said safe and homely. Bar staff ladies were very welcoming and helpful. Was told there would be a 20 minutes wait for food as a big party had arrived unannounced but food arrived to me in about 10 minutes. Great food. Very tasty pie and good value for money. Was served to me I believe by the owner himself. Bar staff came to check all was alright with the food. Music and decor on point. Deceptively big inside. Pool table and loads of tv's. What more can you possibly ask for? Definitely recommend.

Despite us only calling 30 minutes in advance, they were able to accommodate our wedding party of seven without any problems. The staff were friendly, the service was prompt, and the food was great. Congratulations from the regulars was icing on the cake. Couldn't have asked for more!

The manager Gavin was an excellent host, helpful with a great sense of humour. We were just visiting the area whilst on holiday but would definitely go there again.

Just popped in for a pint. I was served by a bartender named Gavin. He’s a super friendly and kind! The pub has a nice atmosphere and has plenty of beer and cider options.

Never ate there but service was fine and atmosphere the same.

Booked a table here Sunday lunch time, had never been before but thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did! From the minute we walked through the door we had nothing but friendly, lovely and engaging customer service where nothing was too much...

The food was very nice, even gave compliments to the chef. There's games to keep the kids occupied, and the kids' menu has a good selection as well as being really good value for money. The staff are very helpful and polite. Nice quiet atmosphere suitable for families, though we did visit during a quiet time.

We both had the pensioners special, tender gammon, crispy chips, a beautifully fried egg and tasty peas. Followed by treacle sponge & ice cream & 3 (yes 3 scoops) of chocolate ice cream. It was all excellent, the best pub meal we’ve had for a long time. We’ll be back soon.

Well the food was really nice. But it took 20 minutes to come out for it to be wrongly made. Okay I have done that. But another 20 again. Mind you it was dead out. I did not feel unsafe so that’s a positive. The staff were nice. I just think you need more staff.

Dinner was really nice our waitress paid where so polite and lovely and really helpful she is a credit to the pub !

Rated by a 6 year old fussy eater 100/100 and said chicken nuggets are better than McDonalds nuggets!
