Really enjoyed my evening here with friends after our awards presentation, drinks seemed a little expensive but then, I don't go out very often! Cost of living really starting to show. Nice environment, took a while to get served. But would return for sure.

£10 for a single gin and tonic feels like a rip off. Can’t comment on food because we just popped in for some drinks. It’s an annoying balance of loud music so you can’t hear each other speak but also nowhere to dance. Would recommend if you want to overpay for a basic drink and lose your voice trying to have a conversation. Wouldn’t say either the bouncers or bar staff were particularly welcoming either.

Well we have been here a numbers of times being local … we thought we would have drink and we met the people at the door with allusions of self importance and simply rude and disrespectful . When we tried to enter they said no reason and some person was laughing .. obvious in a simplistic way trying to impress whoever the person was who was giggling … shame we enjoy this establishment.. spend allot of money being from the area .. we will swerve this place and advise others not to visit … went to a bar up the road spent allot of money and had a good night …. Moose and door people you are done ..

Really disappointed, our whole table had meals apart from one of us. When we questioned and asked where the food was, the lady asked us what was ordered, disappeared, then came back and said it would be about 4 minutes. It got to at least 15 minutes later and we had all nearly finished our food and still no sign of the other burger! We asked again and the lady said ‘We are really busy in the kitchen, what was the confusion?’ Almost blaming us for their mistakes - unacceptable! The fact that she said ‘we are really busy in the kitchen’ was extremely unreasonable seen as we all ordered our food at the same time and all of ours apart from one arrived! Eventually, the last burger arrived and most of us had finished our meal. The burger bun was slightly burnt and the food was quite dry, it’s almost like it was forgotten and then reheated 🤷🏼‍♀️ We told them it should be taken off the bill and the lady hesitated and said well I’m not so sure. I’ll go check. Came back and agreed it had been taken off the bill. Personally, I have been here a few times and it has been great, so I’m really disappointed and will definitely think twice about going again, which is a real shame. I’m also extremely embarrassed as I suggested this place, for it to turn out to be a huge, disappointment when we could have gone elsewhere, which undoubtedly would have been better service and food. What once was a local place full of delicious food and excellent service, has clearly now become quite a disappointing place to eat and drink.

We popped into the Dancing Moose in Ashley Cross for a bite to eat on a whim. We were welcomed, shown to a table and our drinks were brought over to us. We were looked after by a lovely girl called Ella. She was smiley, happy and recommended your awesome Korean Chicken dish from the menu. We thought, at one point, she may had been the owner, with the amount of effort and care she took when serving us. The other staff were really nice too but special praise and recognition should go to Ella in this instance. Look after her Dancing Moose, she is a fabulous asset to your business. Rob & Maz

Visited based on word of mouth but quite underwhelmed. Food and service was good but the atmosphere and decor wasn't. Scruffy and worn out. Beer selection also awful for me; no draft beer just keg. Beavertown being the best of a bad bunch.

Lovely staff, nice food but disappointing price for a glass of wine. I was shocked when we received the bill as the large wine was more expensive than the bottle twice over. I appreciate the need for venues to recoup their costs but £12.50 for a glass of wine is obscene. What a shame because the rest was great. The staff were attentive and bubbly a real asset to the bar.

One of the best roast dinners is Ashley cross! Wish they would show the football on TV though! But food atmosphere unreal

I visited the Dancing Moose last Wednesday and was absolutely thrilled by the service my colleague and I received. We were celebrating a business win, and the barman Bailey was brilliant. His attention to detail was excellent, and he made us feel incredibly welcome! Will definitely be returning :)

Staff were friendly, nice looking pub, not sure if they were having an off day but the food was well over done, other than that it was ok.

Everything was perfect for our Mother’s Day lunch. I had the ‘best of both’ roast with beef and pork. The best roast I have had in years. Tasty tender beef and equally delicious pork with the most perfect crackling. The vegetables were beautiful and the Yorkshire pudding spot on. You could not fault a single thing. Perfect portion size too. The service was attentive and prompt without being overbearing. The ambience was great and the live music just right. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Best place for brunch and breakfast! Have come here a few times in the past few months for breakfast with my partner and we are never let down. The staff are so friendly and kind and really are a credit to the whole place, (was served by 2 girls maybe in their 20). Just wanted to mention that as it makes a visit so much better. The food is always delicious and it’s fairly priced. Definitely will be returning for an evening meal at point as recommended by the staff. Thank you

They were playing great music but it was a bit too loud. The mango Macarena cocktails was delicious. The vibe was party but there were people still being served food which I found strange. I’m glad I didn’t eat there

Our first date was here, and we have been coming all the time since on our anniversary, great atmosphere and really friendly staff.

Went in for a morning coffee and a cake. The coffee was excellent but sadly no cakes or pastries were available.

Super friendly staff and the food was delicious. Impressed at their selection if cocktails however.. they did have a strong percentage beer that my partner enjoyed a little too much (unaware of percentage) and was a little worse for wear the next day. Would absolutely come here again

Felt a bit unwelcome amongst with a Christmas party going on

We had our work christmas party here and it was lovely. The food was delicious, most of us had the roast turkey, which was cooked to perfection. The Christmas themed cocktails were great too, I had a strawberry cream one which was so good! All the people that served our table were very friendly and smiley. The twinkly lights and Christmas decor gave the place a lovely festive atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend.

Very nice atmosphere.Got the mega moose burger, absolutely cracking value since Thursday makes all burgers 12 pounds. Only gripe with the mega burger is SO much cheese sauce. A little over the patties is fine but you don’t need an entire pot of the stuff. Other than that, 10/10 experience.

The last few visits have been disappointing, this time was no better. We booked in advance, but still initially tried to put our party of 8 on a small table in the corner, I asked to move as we simply didn't fit around it, they then offered us a table of the exact same size? Despite the 8 person table being unoccupied and not reserved. Eventually we got seated on the better table. It was at least 20 minutes before we had our drinks orders taken, a further 20 to receive half the drinks, had to keep reminding the staff about the orange juices (which is now a very cheap carton juice from concentrate). Didn't take our food orders until after the drinks had arrived (kept having to ask staff to come and take our orders). We had been here well over an hour before we finally saw our food. The California egge looked good, but the burgers were dry with the consistency of rubber. Such a shame, used to be a nice place but I don't think any of us will be coming back any time soon.

Had the most beautiful chicken roast dinner today. Probably the best meal out I've ever had! Lovely family treat for my birthday. Music a little loud but live guitarist/singer was great for the last half hour of our visit. Compliments to the chef and friendly staff. Highly recommended! Hope to return.

Fantastic wings, we had Korean and Bourbon. So we arrived 5 minutes late, but the table wasn't ready anyway, but there no issues. The service at the bar making 2 Mojito's was painfully slow, we then had to request someone to take our food order as we were patiently waiting. We had the amazing food and waited for the desert menu only to be told we had to vacate the table. We found a particular member of staff to be rude and walked away tutting when we asked for deserts, and the privilege cost us £40 a head. Not going back in a hurry.

We really enjoyed the breakfast. We ordered sandwiches and avocado toast. Also cappuccino and orange juice. Very kind waiters and great atmosphere. We sat near the window overlooking the park.

Difficult to know how to rate this, as we didn’t even get to try the food here - came in at 3pm on a Sunday to live music and lots of drunk gals screaming along to Miley Cyrus and yelling at each other. Should probably have clocked that it was really not the vibe when some fella was smoking whilst hawking up phlegm outside and spitting it on the ground. It was ridiculously hot and steamy inside and kind of sticky and dirty with some flies, too. Staff were rushed and busy and didn’t get round to coming to speak to us before we decided to leave. Probs great if you want to get hammered on a Sunday afternoon (???) but not super conducive to a nice late lunch hahhahaha

Service was beyond terrible. Sunday roast was exceptional. What goes on in the kitchen is not matched in anyway by what happens front of house. A once fine establishment being run incredibly badly. Won’t return, won’t recommend. Was glad to have left.

Never been here before but the in-laws suggested it as they've been before, and we certainly wasn't letdown! The atmosphere is lovely and chilled, the staff are super friendly, polite and helpful. The food well where do I start, I had a burger and well it was definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Who ever they have as a chef well they have got it right! It's a must visit if you've never been or are thinking about it! We will definitely be back again!

Good food, good people, good setting. You’d have thought you’re on to a winner but there were two things which cost a star each. One, the place was too busy for the 2 members of staff on shift. Coming to the table and bringing drinks was a slow process, and they could have done with an additional 1 or 2 people on shift. Second, the place is expensive - north of £6 a pint and pushing £20 per main meal is quite a lot for a pub, especially outside of London. Little things to improve and we’ll likely be back.

The venue itself is nice along with the staff. The prices however are an absolute joke!!! Other bars next to them are a lot less!

Great food and to make things even better they allow dogs. My poached eggs were amazing.

We called in just after 2pm for coffee and cake but no cake or anything similar available to nibble and to be washed down by a lovely cup of coffee. Coffee was great and service very friendly. Unfortunately next time we will have to go elsewhere to one of the many nearby coffee houses if we need to nibble.

Quality food, good service ,very busy but didn't wait long for order

Hadn't booked a lunchtime visit, but they found us a table that was reserved for a bit later on Christmas Eve. Bar service was prompt and friendly. Food was very tasty, BBQ wings, nachos (no meat option) and a baked camembert shared between 3. Food was a bit slow but they were busy and I would rather have good food than rushed poor quality food. Good drinks selection available, friendly staff and good vibe. Would go again.

Come here if you want to be treated like you don't matter by staff who act like they are just there to pass the time and have no interest or understanding about what their job is. We wanted breakfast and thought the place looked welcoming. A sign on the main door stated ' use the other door' which we tried to do but there was no door handle!! When we tried to get the attention of the waitress that we wanted to come in she flapped her arms around and looked at us like we were naughty children. She didn't help us get in - we had to scrabble at the door with no handle to pull it open. When we asked what food they did the waitress slammed some menus down for us to look at. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting. The other waitress was nicer but looked like she had a cold and was sneezing everywhere. When I asked for 2 poached eggs rather then 1 she looked at me like I was mad and it seemed a huge inconvenience. They were both using their phones and drinking coffee whilst 'working'. The food took ages to come and was overpriced. The table was sticky and clearly had not been cleaned prior to our visit. There were sticky stains on the chairs that we sat on. Will not be coming back.

Went here with a group of 8 for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Nice ambiance and good menu. Sadly had to wait quite a while to be served and then waiting too long for our coffees. Once the food was ordered that did arrive pretty quick. All fresh and very tasty. Would recommend ordering drinks when you walk in. Also note very limited parking outside and they no longer take cash, only cards. This upset a couple of my ‘self employed’ friends who were hoping to rinse some of their “cash jobs’ here 😂😂

Can't believe I've lived so close and not known about this little gem! Great atmosphere quirky , food was top drawer and plenty of portion! Get the Korean wings I can honestly say they're in my top 2 wings of all time!

Great Sunday Lunch with live music the food is plentiful and tasty., the cauliflower cheese deserves a special mention, it arrives as a side dish bubbling hot with a crispy baked cheese topping absolutely delicious. Our server Ella was amazing and attentive and kept the drinks flowing. First class !

The only downside you can only pay by card,intended to stay for best part of the day as I do not like using card payments so went else where,I find this a problem with several places in the town,I get payed in cash I personally think cash is legal tender but you Dont take it sadly will not be returning

Went for lunch today. Met at the front door by hostess who was not very welcoming. - took 30 minutes for someone to take our order. - she did not ask if we wanted drinks or starters, was just "what do you want" - she forgot our order of onions rings, so we just had the burgers. - 2 doors in the pub constanly open, making the place cold and uncomfortable. The burgers was amaaaaazing! BRAVO for the kitchen. We know its saturday and busy, but this wasn't our fault. We came to enjoy and our experience of the service was not good enough.

Good food, a little expensive and trying to be London but overall good experience

Check you bill very carefully. The detail of our burger and extras was carefully included but then hey presto a whole load of extra beers were added on amounting to around £20. Also 10% of the final charge of £68.85 was worked out as £7.83. ''Sorry it was the computer' said the waitress. It appears the wrong service charge is programmed into everyone's bill. Over all the many hundreds of people they are ripping customers off an extra 2%. The waitress agreed and was blameless. The owners however...... Check you bill.

Lovely bar, drinks and service was great but the food was Terrible and took ages to come.

Excellent brunch and coffee, we got the B.A.E. which is bacon, avocado, and egg and it was delicious.

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill - service was average at best and staff not overly friendly. What was most disappointing was the 10% service charge levied on all bills regardless of the table size - I appreciate this is optional but not welcome during a cost of living crisis especially when we didn’t order much & the food/drinks aren’t exactly cheap! Needless to say I won’t return in a hurry and it would appear many haven’t either judging by it being distinctly quiet on a bank holiday weekend. Shame really as it used to be great

Omg I love it thay have a sing on Sunday I have been twice and both times its been amazing I love the place mine you when it besy it's a bit hard to get served but I can leave with that and the bar staff are brilliant thanks I will be a regular from now on x

Great food, but the music was way too loud. We went for food and had to shout to talk to each other. Everyone there kept saying how annoying the loud music was, but staff wouldn't turn it down. I wouldn't go back just because of that, which is a shame because the burgers are great.

Went on Wings and Ribs night, so I had wings and ribs. Delicious and far too much. Not that I'm complaining, I had leftover wings and ribs for lunch the next day. Nice atmosphere.
