We have enjoyed several lunches during the week. Unfortunately, lunch on a Sunday did not live up to expectations. Although the desserts were very nice, some of the main course were disappointing; the beef was tough, a pig in the blanket was too hard to cut with a knife and there were very few roast potatoes.

Short staffed, poor service, forgot orders … twice … so we didn’t eat together whilst we waited for full order to arrive. Food was poor quality, nothing like the pictures. Even though we arrived early at 6pm there was no fish and chips available. All in all a less than average fare even for the very low price. We will not be going back there. Extremely disappointing and badly run.

Had a parking ticket from this hotel, which was a massive pain and nearly ruined a fantastic visit. Spoke to mark on the phone at the hotel, he sorted it in two minutes, was extremely polite and efficient. Thank you mark and I’ll see you again.👍

Four of us visited and had main courses and sweets. We all had different main courses and they were all okay, there was nothing outstanding but all the meals were edible and reasonably tasty. Service was excellent

Stoped at this Pub / restaurant for Sunday lunch, food & service only ok. To my amazement received a FINE for £100, for parking for 1.23 minuets. I will not be using Green King ever again. There was not even a clear sign saying it was a hotel ! A disabled Driver, great help.

We went out with my parents for an evening meal, booked on line. We arrived, ordered and paid for drinks and then were shown to pur table. We ate and food was OK. We got home and then received a phone call from who I believe as the manager, accusing my wife of leaving without paying our bill, with not tact or diplomacy. I checked my banking app and money was pending to go pit, so proved We had paid. He then asked who took the payment, which we described the gentleman behind the bar. The manager then proceeded to say that we shouldn't have payed that particular man as he had learning difficulties and was being sponsored to work there, which I though that was really out of order for saying that about a member of his staff. Never to return to this place.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel whilst we attended Tankfest. The staff were excellent, efficient and friendly. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice if you wanted just a continental and the hot breakfast menu was wonderful. The hotel is well situated for visiting the New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole and further beyond. We will definitely be going back!

We booked a table. On arrival, no host station, so waited at the bar and not acknowledged. When advised we had booked, we were pointed to a table. After waiting 10 minutes managed to grab someone's attention to finally take our order. Ordered then told that some food not available. Food was ok, the pie top was so hard my wife couldn't eat it. Ordered dessert with hot drinks and about 10 minutes later advised coffee machine broken. Service was lack and won't be back in a hurry. Only came as long day at work and couldn't be bothered to cook.... Wished I had.

We arrived at the restaurant after a long drive from Milton Keynes to visit relatives. Although they were very busy, Tommy the manager squeezed us in. We were made to feel very welcome. Tommy waited on us personally, and the service was excellent. We had roast turkey dinners that were delicious. Everything was hot and well prepared. The Yorkshire puddings were clearly homemade. Tommy checked back regularly to make sure all was well and to see if we needed anything. The rhubarb crumble and custard dessert was yummy. I could have eaten two helpings! I would recommend this restaurant unhesitatingly, in particular for the welcome we received from Tommy, and will definitely be stopping there at our next visit to Bournemouth.

We had lunch at St Leonards where we had stayed in the past, had numerous meals and even family parties. Huge disappointment! Jacket potatoes microwaved with no butter, prawns OK as cold, side salad so wilted it was black, almost decomposing.... When told, the staff acknowledged that they would inform the chef, but with no other reaction whatsoever. We left hungry and are crossing them off our list.

Just back from a really lovely lunch at the St Leonard’s. It’s a beautiful day so we sat outside in the courtyard, lots of shade, nice and cool with pretty flower tubs. We were made to feel very welcome, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I had the chicken burger and my husband had the hunters chicken, both so tasty and satisfying, 10/10, we shared the Eton Mess sundae which was absolutely gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend the St Leonard’s for a good value tasty lunch if you’re in the area.

What a disappointment! We booked here for Easter Sunday lunch as we were visiting the area. Firstly, we needn’t have bothered booking as there was only one other family in the restaurant and the atmosphere was absolutely dead! We were met by a friendly guy and shown to our table. That was the best bit! The lamb roast dinner was shocking! So bland and tasteless and the meat was fatty and unappealing. The cauliflower cheese has not one sniff of cheese about it! Bland vegetables covered in bland gravy! Burnt stuffing and frozen roast potatoes! We could hear shouting and arguing coming from the kitchen and the front of house staff preferred to hang out at the bar and chat rather than make eye contact and interact with customers! Gutted that a break from cooking for my family was such a waste of money.
