Nice pub just off the Quay, outside seating to the front and rear and ample inside seating. Good beer selection and a sensibly priced food menu for both adults and kids.

Had a lovely time today having drinks, kiera and bryony were amazing and served us. Will be back again. :)

Today I had the best experience in the antelope, I was served by two lovely ladies named Bryony and Kiera. Their customer service was very professional and welcoming, quality of food was outstanding. Prices on drink were very reasonable so I bought them both a drink each. Most definitely will be back. Thank you so much. :) :) !!!

Today I was served by Kiera & Sophie ..... from a manager of 2 care homes who is reasonable for a team of over 80 staff .... I would like to bring to your attention how accommodating both team members were ...... so attentive and nothing was any trouble ...... if both team members Kiera and Sophie where in my team ....... I would be a proud manager !!!! Thank you both for making our Sunday celebrations so special !!

We had a lovely lunch date at the Antelope. Brilliant food and excellent service from Sophie and Kiera. I would definitely recommend it and will be back again.

Kiera was out server and was very polite, quick, and very attentive and seemed to have a great relationship with the other members of staff. Extremely helpful and we would recommend this place to all friends.

Great food and great pub, made all the better by the service: Sophie couldn’t have done more for us.

Popped in after a walk around the town and had the Sunday roast which was superb , Danniellle took great care and attention to us and we will definitely be coming back when in the area !

Hi. I came to the Antelope for an early eve dinner. The food and the pub were both very good. Our waitress was Sophie-Rose, who was attentive and helpful when making out good selection.

Such a lovely pub in Poole with a beautiful beer garden, the staff were warm & friendly, Kiera was very polite & helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Down from the midlands and my wife and I stopped of at the beer garden for drinks. Bryony served us with a smile and great service . Loved our drinks and the service was great . Will defo recommend to our friends and family.

Me and my girls stopped in here for lunch while out for the day with our dog. The staff overall were very good, polite, professional, and accommodating. We were seen in and served by Dannie who was brilliant! She asked all the right questions and engaged with my childen through out our visit. Dannie also offered us the Doggy menu which I've never seen at a pub before so the Pup was a very happy boy too! Very good experience and we will be back!

Had lunch at the Antelope on Saturday with friends visiting from Kent. The food was lovely and Molly their dog enjoyed her sausage served in a special doggie dish. Also, must not forget Ruth our waitress she was lovely and friendly made us very welcome 😊.

Just had afternoon tea, for my mum's birthday. The food was very good. Very fresh, it was nice to have a top up of teas, coffees and hot chocolate. We were not rushed, and all the sandwiches and cake that was left we were given boxes to take home. Thank you Craig and staff for an enjoyable afternoon.

Came in with my partner for a late lunch, service was lovely, Maddy and kira were very polite, very helpful giving us places to go (as we’re not local) pointed us towards sandbanks and tower park, had the kastu curry, was happy with how quick the food came out and quality of the food, prices were slightly high compared to other local pubs/restaurants however the service made up for that, lovely staff all round and good morale in the building. Will be returning with my children over the summer when that are back from university

Though we have stayed at The Antelope, this was our first dining experience. A very good choice and will not be our last. We had Mixed Grill and Fish & Chips. Very generous portions and cooked to perfection.

Took my husband for a meal at The Antelope for the first time as normally go with a friend but she was unwell. My husband loved it the same way l do. Fabulous food and friendly and attentive staff. Had my grandads 80th birthday here. Now considering it's near Christmas and it was a Party of like ten of us it did end up abit chaotic... Which I can understand however most of us ended up with the wrong order... Mixed reviews on the actual depending on what we ordered. The service was okay but you could tell they were rushed however it was still a good night so thank you! 👍 It's location is perfect right next to the quay!

Inferior steak, gristly, and that's the sirloin. Toilets not close to restaurant. Similar to witherspoon's but twice the price. Ps never had a bad steak at witherspoon. We're local and been many times before but it's changed.

We had a great team Christmas night here in their restaurant. Help with organising the event for 56 hospice staff was smooth, the food was fantastic - a large choice, all served with a smile from the friendly and attentive waiting staff. The night was topped off with a disco, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the festivities. Thanks Antelope for hosting us... we'll be back!

Great Christmas meal for a large group. Craig helped with any questions we had with the booking process and was available on the day. The food was plentiful and hot and the tables organised so that groups could sit together and were not squashed. Great value for money and great service from all involved, thank you.

First time visiting the Antelope, popped in on a whim after being out in Poole with the family. As soon as entering we were greeted by the bar staff, I asked about food and they told us all menus were out on tables. Very cosy fireplace and all dressed for Christmas. Food was very tasty, massive portions, well presented, we all loved it!! The staff were friendly and had good banter with myself and my wife. We will be coming back. Definitely our kind of place.

A fantastic, cosy pub! Popped in to have food and couldn't fault the service and the atmosphere. I'm non-dairy so find it hard to have meals out that taste any good. Had a fantastic steak cooked perfectly (rare), with a great sauce (beef dripping) and a salt and pepper squid topper. This was followed by the Vegan caramel cheesecake, which to be honest I wasn't expecting much of due to my previous experience with vegan desserts in other places but it was delicious! Great drink, great food, great atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Can't ask for much more. Thanks to Dannie and the team for brilliant service!

Visted the antelope for some food and drinks. Was greeted by Dannie and Derek. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly. We ordered food which was cooked beautifully and really enjoyable. Can't fault the food or the staff. such a lovely little pub in Poole and will always return.

Food not good, signature burger had no bacon no pulled pork more like a cheese burger from McDonald's not good the roast dinners were not good brrf very fatty and not good. Potatoes were very salty realy bad, better pubs to eat at in poole.

Great steak cooked perfect and very accommodating for a gluten and diary allergen. Signature burger packed full of Flavour juicy and cooked to perfection again. Staff very friendly what only seem to be two out front of the bar and waiting did an amazing job running around.

Amazing, our food was Succulent, excellent service from staff very welcoming from the moment we entered the building! Most definitely will be coming back! Had a lovely warm fire on atmosphere was fantastic!!

Popped in on a Sunday and they had their smart phone quiz. Max, the host very welcoming and knowledgeable. Apparently free at the moment with a view to starting properly in December. If local or in the area check it out, fun to be had. 😊

Good food great people and service

Food was amazing but service was very slow, had to ask 3 time for water on the table and our drinks we ordered were sat on the bar for 15 mins whilst staff were chatting. One staff member was quite rude.

Ordered gammon and two other meals , the gammon was undercooked and raw on the inside , its basic cooking and they failed , wouldn’t return again

Whilst the staff here have been superb,the rooms here are very run down,in ours the bath is chipped, the bathroom floor covering is lifting, the furniture is old and looking tired. Also faults that were pointed out last year have not been repaired. The bar area is the same, chairs creak and groan, upholstery sagging and worn, the lower staircase handrail moves, the lampshade is broken and rickety, basically the whole hotel needs a lift.

Had the steak and ale pie which really filled me up, so much so I had no room for pudding. This is a shame because I do like their crumble.

A couple of really poor experiences now - used to love the place. Twice now with no cask beer on tap and rude staff. What has happened?!?

I took my cat for one night,they were very accommodating,had a lovely meal in the dining room,slept well,it was very quiet , 🌹

change in my previous 5* review to a 1* due to the fact you lost your car park, left your signs up and now have a fine 👍🏻 your staff couldn’t give a toss. Disgraceful.

Having seen favourable reviews I arranged to meet family members holidaying in Swanage, for lunch at the Antelope. I chose the rump steak, which was well cooked and good value. Two lasagne couldn't be served as only one available. An alternative choice, Hunter's Chicken was disappointing with the barbecue sauce being sickly sweet. Chicken in the basket was very dry and the hard thick batter needed to be prised off of the chicken. The fries were very dark and looked over-cooked. The one lasagne wasn't something to relish either. Service was good, prices were reasonable but food other than the steak, was unfortunately just about adequate but certainly not something to rush back for. Sorry Antelope, we were looking forward to it.

Slow service- I think they forgot we were there. Several meals on the menu were unavailable (mine and mom’s first choices). Mediocre meal, dads gammon was cold, Wayne’s came missing several items, moms fish looked like it had been refried. Waitress excuse “we were busy” 😡All in all very disappointing.

On our recent visit for a meal the staff were welcoming to us and our dog. Our meals were very good and tasty. They cooked something special for the dog, which we were pleased with.

Ate at restaurant. First meal our kids loved after almost two weeks of lunches & dinners in England. Adults were very happy too. Very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Proper pub yet, it's a Hotel, Function room also.

Lovely helpful staff, central, quiet after 11. Restaurant/pub right underneath serving tasty fresh food all day with plenty of vegan options. Pet friendly! The building is old and the rooms are a little run down and need a refresh (torn sheets, broken shower head, old ventilation in the bathroom etc) but otherwise it’s a pleasant stay.

Stopped in the pub for a drink and made the snap decision to eat. We were taken through to a lovely restaurant in the rear of the building and seated. There was a fair range of good looking food options, all looked appealing. The beer and drink options were also very broad. Our meals were fantastic (would recommend the pate starter and the pork belly). The experience was topped off by fantastic table service from the whole team (especially a server I think was named George). Would highly recommend if looking for a lovely bite to eat away from the busier Quay front.

Dinner for a family of 7 with children, lovely service provided by George our waiter he was very polite, attentive & friendly. Food was amazing!

Booked the restaurant for 11am but when we turned up they weren't even open! When we eventually found someone they said they were just opening but food isn’t served until 12pm. We are so confused, they supposedly serve breakfast and you can book tables online from 8am onwards. We went elsewhere, wont be returning. edit: thank you for your reply, however this is not clearly shown on your website or posters outside the pub. If you do not serve food/drinks at 11am then why are you able to book a table? No where does it state that breakfast finishes at 10am. Extremely unclear and the posters on the walls outside are false advertisement.

Food was lovely and came out very fast. Zara was lovely and kind throughout our meal.

A friendly pub. It's a pity the sports TV's dominate. They only need one. The food is excellent. The staff are excellent but can be lazy about going to fetch a mixer they've run out of at the bar. I like it here very much, but please get rid of a TV. Avoid on a Saturday evening unless you want to be deafened by a tribute CD played by a man in a glittery jacket. The food is good.
