Excellent and very friendly service, very well managed. Perfect for an overnight stay waiting for a flight from Bournemouth. A bit of decorating would help but all works well. Thankyou for an easy stay.

Stayed one night. No windows to open in room. Otherwise room OK. Food was a big let down. Stone cold steak..peas.and mushrooms. Just not good enough. Staff were polite. Would I stay here again. Alas no

5☆+ Used to live here in Poole (Mum n Dad met here over 50 years ago 🤦🏻 Stay here the night whilst visiting, lovely friendly service, food and an immaculate room! It was a quiet Tuesday night but I expect the atmosphere is good when busy Highly recommended, will be back if back in the area, back op north tomorrow home 😔

Amazing service from really friendly staff. The food is a good selection came in when it was fairly busy still didnt have to wait long to be served or to recive food. Atmosphere is nice as despite being fairly busy it wasnt too loud at all which I usually find an issue in most places. Very family friendly and will be a place I bring my family more often.

This pub/inn is lovely with comfortable and spacious rooms. Also, the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend the place which also has the advantage of being only a short drive to/from Poole ferry terminal.

Recently stayed here, didn't eat at the restaurant but had a few drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy although the bathroom could do with a re-furb. Excellent location for Poole and a short drive to Bournemouth. All in all we had a good stay. 👍👍

Stayed for one night, the staff are very friendly and informative, felt like we were really well looked after as guests being a busy place too that is really good! We tried to book yet another night but was too late (our fault!) we wished we could’ve staying here for the next night as we really couldn’t fault the place at all! If you’re looking for a low priced hotel with a 5 star experience choose this place, look no further! We will definitely be booking here again on our next visit to Poole! Really well done!

Staff are all lovely and welcoming. Food is great and a good price too. Lots of choice on the menu too which means there is something for everyone.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April,the pub is ideally situated for town & the quay, about a 20-30 minute walk, we had a pleasant room with a large & very comfortable bed & everything we needed. All the staff were very friendly & attentive, we would Like to give special thanks to the lovely Barbara for looking after us, we will definitely be returning.

Friendly staff, clean, plenty of choice of where to sit including outside seating, ordered using the new QR code system drinks delivered quickly, food came promptly tasted amazing! All hot and fresh will be back

Quickly stoped off for a small bite to eat. Was greater by the most friendly faces and the manager Danny is amazing. I recognise him from breakfast with Santa and he was amazing at it. Definitely will go back. This pub is definitely a credit to the business.

Danny and his team are smashing. They engage with you and provide you with topnotch service and food. I had a katsu chicken burger and it was beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend to anyone .

I like this pub with its persian king history story. It looks like a Qajar king or regent spent time here when it was a coach station to prepare horses to go and visit queen Victoria. Probably he was Naser al-din shah Qajar in 1874. Any way it a nice clean pub, with a friendly ambience. I recommend it, they also have Parking.

Staff were very accommodating , friendly and polite . Good service as did not have to wait long for our food. The food was very nice and good portions.

Thought we would try the curry as usually, we go on Thursday for the steak meal now it is going to be difficult as the curry was as nice as the steak think next week might try the pies which are on a Monday can highly recommend always a friendly smile and good service to go with the good food always shown to a clean table by friendly and helpful staff it's our go to place when we want a meal out

We are very lucky to have The Shah of Persia as our local. The food, service and friendly staff have always been excellent and good value.

Had roast today very underwhelming,beef tough chicken dry large pigs in blankets smaller than my little finger not much veg small teaspoon of mashed potatoes and all not very hot. We did complain and were offered free puddings but after hearing complaints on table behind us we declined. So disappointed as my husband was treating myself and my mum. Will not return

We stayed at the pub before heading onto the ferry at Poole. Arrived fairly late and left early so can't comment on food. Room was really good value, check in service friendly and plenty of parking. The room was fairly small, but had everything we needed and (as I said) really good value. We were there on a Thursday and it was nice and quiet.

This is a lovely family friendly pub, we've enjoyed several meals here recently a consistently good experience and a family favourite

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights, in the Parkstone. Luxurious, comfy bed…. ALL of the staff were amazing! The manager, Kourtney, was very thoughtful…. going out of her way to make us feel really welcome. AND a fantastic breakfast, at an unbeatable price! Hospitality at its best!

"Had a terrible experience with breakfast. Waited 35 minutes while others who arrived later were served first. When it finally came, it was burnt and poor quality. Replacement was no better—grill ash on bacon, oily eggs, dry toast, and dirty plates. Left without eating. Very disappointing!"

We regularly use this pub, particularly when there are offers on. We have always found the food to be tasty and well cooked. The service is always professional friendly and speedy. Our server was Charlie and he is a pleasant, courteous young man. I find this to be the case with all the staff.

Just had my pre-birthday meal. My friend and I both opted for the Americana steaks, both cooked exactly how we like them! Mains and dessert all excellent!!

Fantastic pub, and fantastic staff. We were served by Courtney, who remembered our favourite drinks, and made sure everything was absolutely right. She also handled a medical emergency (not us) which took place with speed, efficiency and calmness. Recommended for food and drink.

Great pub this, and great staff too - especially Courtney, who goes the extra mile to make sure your visit is perfect. I was pleased how Courtney remembered all of our dietary requirements and favourite drinks, and even more impressed by her immediate attention and quick thinking to a recent medical emergency involving a third party.

Friendly bar staff. Beer was quite pricey. Served wine spritzer in standard wine glass so a bit over-filled. Use larger glass! My dining chair was ripped and the filling was showing. Table was a bit sticky. We were directed to a corner table when others, with more open spaces were available.

I arrived to have a family meal, acouple of weeks ago . The menu has a good selection of food , i choose the turkey roast ,and was disappointed with the out come when it arrived at the table . As the first thing i saw was that the meat was not fresh, the mash was packet mash. The whole dinner for over £14 was not enjoyable at all , it was so disappointing . The pub was cold the whole time, you need to wrap up warm . I totaly understand if they are finding it hard with the heating bill , but you do need to have warm clothing on .

The welcome and service was amazing, the food was delivered to the table quickly and was piping hot. Fantastic quality and very enjoyable.

Online booking was simple. My request for a quiet area was accommodated. Welcome from staff was very friendly with great interaction. Food was good and good value. Tables were clean and well set. Absolutely no complaints. The friendly staff made the visit. Very happy.
