Very sad to write this review but we first started going to the Woodside September 2024. Nothing was too much owners really accommodating were very insistent they are a family pub where children and pets are welcome. My daughter has autism and ADHD and that never seemed to be problem. We always do our best to be respectful and always clean up after ourselves etc. we found they became more popular recently and we’ve suddenly been pushed out by all new complaints coming in. At first we were told that our dog was in the way so we stopped bringing the dog then we went in the following week then We’ve been asked to go to the back as the kids were in the way of the door… fair enough and we’ve complied every time. Tonight we decided to go and we’ve now been told kids are not allowed in after 5pm they couldn’t even come and tell us themselves. This previously hasn’t been a issue never been a problem and I wanted to point out your either child friendly or not… the owner was excited to show me they fitted a changing table in the bathroom to accommodate us a month ago… seems their priorities have changed and has now lost our custom. We are very upset.
Gotta love shakeaway! Not enough stores around :-/
Really wish you could still get extra thick milkshakes though, screw health conscious, make me sign a disclaimer idc, you're a milkshake place... healthy is not my prime concern for my malteser and Bakewell tart milkshake 🤣🤣🤣
My wife and I visited Plymouth in August 2021 and spent 4 days here. Celtic were playing twice (Midtjylland and Hearts away).
From the experience we had in the pub I must say The Eagle is the only place to go to watch Celtic in Plymouth. Quality pint and the staff keep the Heineken pint glasses in the freezer (That doesnt happen in my local).
The locals made us feel very welcome and Chalky White (Total gentleman) bought us a round and welcomed us to his town.
The Celtic fans were all brand new and it was a pleasure to have watched the games with them.
The bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming and were happy to have a bit a chat and banter.
An extra bonus is the half time food which is free.
For the Midtjylland game the staff provided free hotdogs and for the hearts game it was free pieces and bacon.
Hopefully I will be able to come back to Plymouth in the future and I wouldnt go anywhere else to watch Celtic.
Got a jammy dodger and bubblegum ice-cream which was very nice. They had a fair few interesting and unique flavours, I wish I got to try more. Service was great and staff were very friendly.
Sit right next to the sea to dream & relax, & enjoy excellent coffee, cakes & absolutely delicious bacon baps. The family team who run this are always super friendly & welcoming. We can't stay away.
Such a selection of items at this shop. Thought it was mainly pastys but they make amazing sandwiches/baguettes to order so you can pick your fillings and are really fresh. Plenty of cakes to choose from too. The real icing on the cake though are the lovely friendly staff who are always cheerfu
The new George street costa plymouth is a fantastic place to meet up with friends or just for coffee
The staff Steve manager kellie and Heidi and sanija are the most friendliest helpful staff I have come across always ready to help if needed
These four people are outstanding and should be recognised from area managers for there hard work
Breakfast lacked in quality and left us feeling underwhelmed, small portions, cold beans, mushrooms were inedible and I didn’t like that the toast was buttered for you. On a positive note the Service was good with polite staff front of house.
Eating on my own and needed a quick bite. Reasonably priced and tasted great. Service only got a 4 because they apologised for the wait, I wasn't waiting very long. Good food and nice place
