Sizzling China in Plymouth

Had a Chinese takeaway delivered by fast food! More like slow food delivery. In my 4 year's of living in Plymouth this is by far the worst takeaway yet. Dirty batter used on Chicken balls in batter . Sweet & sour sauce more like a red wine in vinegar. Fried mix vegs looked & tasted terrible. No vibrant colour nor taste. I have decided to turn this negative into a positive & from now on I am going to cook better & cheaper dishes for myself and my girl. I don't mind paying these high prices you find now with these takeaways companies but I expect quality & we dont seem to find the quality anymore. Save your money & get yourself in the kitchen because these food companies are taking the p...s with our money.

usually love this place must have had an off night asked for my special curry extra chill never got it and full of mushrooms. also though special had prawns did not get any bland curry hopefully better next time.

Probably the worst chinese weve had so far in plymouth, on top of that because we didnt make it to the door the first time he rang the bell he decided to shout at my 10yr old.....womtbe ordering again

food was sooo nice, cooked really well and the flavor was nice. the delivery time is quite long but worth it for nice quality food!!!!!!

Honestly love this place, food is always tasty. Appreciate the warm and friendly delivery driver, he helps make this my favourite regular when fast food with a friendly face is what you need.

Chips were not cooked, sent 2 of the same sauce instead of 1 of each, chicken was dry…pretty inedible.

Well what can I say, Our food was over an hour late. We ordered our food at 6pm and it arrived at 8.20 pm. Our prawn toast was really rubbery and cold, the chips had gone cold, and tasted like cardboard. My green curry had a layer of oil on the top, and there was more liquid than food. My husband had chilli beef and it was really tough. I called them twice to ask where our food was, and both times I was told that our food was on the way, which was a total lie!!! *Placed a review on just eat but it mysteriously disappeared*

The food is grate, there is a lovely feeling coming from the staff, every one the person on the phone, the people delivering the food are so kind it is grate I would definitely recommend

We always order from here and the food is always good, usually i order an egg fried rice but didn't as this should have been free on orders over £25.

Waited nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive, which is very unusual for this place as we always order from here. The food was piping hot and delicious as always but think nearly 2 hours is an awfully long time to wait for the delivery !

I ordered prawns with ginger and s/onions, fried rice and salt and pepper ribs. All were really tasty and hot on arrival. Will definitely order from here again.

We ordered for collection, everything was ready and being bagged up on arrival which was great as we could just pick it up and get going! The woman at the counter was lovely too. All of our food was delicious and nothing was missing (which is an issue we've had at many other chinese places!) and everything was piping hot once we got home. My one complaint is with the crispy lemon chicken that I ordered - it was sat in the lemon sauce which made the batter really soggy (still delicious though)! Would have much preferred to have the sauce in a separate tub. Other than that I have no complaints whatsoever and will definitely be back in the future!

crispy beef was nice, squid was tough and over cooked. prawns with broccoli was lovely but vegetable chow mein had nothing but carrots, onions and a couple of mushrooms in it, no green veg at all. overall it was okay but not brilliant and not very hot.

The best Chinese I have had in Plymouth! Refuse to pay for any other one :) the salt and pepper chicken is on point! Everything is on point! My only criticism is the large bits of chicken in the chow main; would serve better if they were smaller bits of chicken but that’s me being fussy. Absolutely love it!!!

The food is amazing Verry happy with the price to, the costumer service is grate, at every order I need a call so I go to the reception to get my order, they never forget to do that and the helivery drivers are always Verry polite

My usual place has closed down and found this - lovely food and quick delivery.

The pork balls were nice and tender, and the house special fried rice was delicious. Plenty of meat content in it, although I would prefer it without bbq sauce.

Food was cold and soggy. Prawn crackers were chewy. Only thing that came hot and fresh was the chicken balls everything else tasted stale and it was a £55 order. Won’t order again

The food was absolutely disgusting. Chips looked like they have been cooked more than once and were Rock hard the rice was sloppy and tasted awful the ribs were bone dry and the curry sauce was like water

Food is always delicious, hot, and on time. Not sure if this is an eats app issue, but my order was charged delivery even tho it was over the free delivery for orders over £30 limit as stated on page and a reminder shown as I went to the pay page.

Unfortunately, a can of Sprite had exploded all over our food. We didn't even order the drink! So half of our food was ruined. Chips were reheated, dry, and awful Beef in black bean was slimy.

It clearly says if you spend £25 ylu get free egg fried rice which we didn’t. We chose the meals accordingly so that we had enough for us all including the rice and now we don’t really have enough as the rice isn’t here.

Nearly 2 hour wait on a delivery that was quoted 45 mins delivery before purchase. Food arrived as I was going to bed. Waste of money!! 6 pounds for delivery and 2 hour wait, not even a weekend. Shocking! Just eat has a lot to answer for. These restaurants are struggling and delivery companies are ruining reputations

Spring rolls were adequate, but small for the price, and pretty flavourless. Not quite sure what thyme was doing in the duck with pineapple! Sambal was okay, but way too much nam pla in it. Singapore rice noodles were great, though.

Best Chinese in plymouth. Never had a bad experience with them. The Singapore rice noodles are insane. The salt and pepper chicken is also incredible. Good value, almost always early aswell as being fresh and hot 👌🏼 the only Chinese place I’ll order from.

Pork was tough, the fried items were soggy, rice and noodles dry and tasteless, never again!!!

Takeaway.. 5 different and varied dishes - every one of them could have passed for a dessert. Honestly like someone had accidentally dropped a bag of sugar in it. Not nice sadly

Normally fantastic but food just wasn't up to the usual high standards- chips were extremely soggy and undercooked

Food was good, crispy chilli chicken and duck with spring onions and ginger, but the pancake rolls aren’t as good as they used to be. They’ve switched from filo to batter and it wasn’t cooked all the way through.
