Lucky Wok Takeaway in Plymouth

Have had 2 deliveries in a week as very unwell tried to get 3rd and have been waiting for over an hour when driving is 2 minutes away last order 17 minutes the one before was a very rude woman

put no onions still had onions and driver was being rude telling us hurry up

The food was late, cold and missing items. I was promised a partial refund by way of credit on my account but never received it. I contacted just eat again and they stated it has been dealt with and no further action will be taken. I'm still waiting on the refund. Disgusting customer service.

driver parked in layby and would not leave the car as it was raining I had to walk up the road the delivery time was fine driver not the best

Waited over an hour extra on delivery. Called twice to be told it’s nearly there. It was the delivery driver. And was caused by traffic even tho there is none where we are , food came piping hot which I found weird because it was an hour late because of traffic

The best Chinese I've had for a long time

Best Chinese in Plymouth. When ever we order, the food always arrives hot and most importantly… always delicious. We always return to order from here and love it everytime. Never had a single complaint, the food is just that good. Highly recommend. P.S- as I write this, I’m eating one of their chicken dishes… yum yum

so food was delivered much earlier than we expected based on their expected time. However better than being late and wouldn't have minded but the food was bland and very cold. chow mein was gloopy, egg fried rice had no egg at all in it and was dry, duck and plum sauce didn't taste much of plum. looked nothing like picture and had more fat than meat in it. Duck spring rolls although we're a good size tasted like vinegar. the free prawn crackers were good bit the rest was pretty awful.

Use to get food a lot from here but not anymore. Always see lots of rats in the bushes on side of building and see them running under their back door. Thats enough to put you off ordering

Food was amazing and easy to use app. Slightly annoyed with delivery being over 20 minutes late and tracking the order wasn't very good However as mentioned food was very good

First time trying this place because of offer,Food was ok not sure I would order again though. Food was hot but meat was dry and chewy chips no good and the beef in black bean went in the bin had a chemical smell like bleach and was not nice at all

Delivery not even arrived and they saw fit to say that it’s been delivered on just to eat because they’re worried about being late and admitted it to me on the phone. That would be okay, but now we can’t track our order. I hope they’re being honest and will be delivering because there is no way of tracing.

Ordered from here via just eat. The sweet and sour chicken was lovely but wish there was more sauce! The noodles were a bit cold and dry but the crispy duck was so lovely. Big portions for the price to!

Really poor food. It all felt quite lazy. Under cooked battered balls. Over cooked chips. Very disappointed.

Always on time for collection, and always so tasty!

Food took ages. Poor quality and also the curry sauce tasted anything but of curry it was also bright red. Customer service was just as bad, such a rude owner. Never again

Ordered a take away on line and asked for ASAP. The FoodHub ordering site they use has their menu and you just order and add to your basket as you go. I walked in at 1820 to a friendly smile which is always nice and my food was waiting. Good sized portions, hot and spicy as well as very tasty. This is our new local takeaway.

Ordered from here as our usual takeaway is having refit. Very disappointed ordered few different meals but we didn’t enjoy any of it. Curry sauce was red! Not nice at all.

We ordered from here on the 28/2/24. Food did turn up on time with a friendly driver. But the food wasn't great half a bag of chips, the noodles and sweet and sour chicken was tasteless and for what we payed it wasn't worth it. The only thing that was nice was the curry sauce.

Used to order Chinese from here majority of the time! But never agian the past few times ordering , food has been undercooked , chips are hard &dry I complained by going back into shop and there excuse was it’s suppose to be like that because of the provider they did cook us a new batch of chips which are better but this isn’t first time we’ve had a issue …

The noodles had no sauce on it and almost no beansprouts. It was just dry and tasteless. There was barely any chicken with either of the mains. The honey mustard chicken was also tasteless. The chips tasted old and stale as if they’ve been refried. The egg fried rice was also hard and stale and barely had any eggs in it. Altogether it was very disappointing. Probably not ordering from there again.

Quick delivery but the food was sub par. Disappointed given the price. Chowmein was wet and soupy, tasted and felt like a beef pot noodle while the chicken was bland and dry. Honestly thought it'd just been boiled then tossed in. A sum total of three pieces of carrot and brocolli as the vegetables. No beansprouts n such. Rice was very bland despite being quite dark in color. Curry sauce wasn't bad but at three quid a pot? not worth it. Most of it ended up in the bin.

Pad Thai was basically the same as a chow mein and the Tom Yum soup, which was supposedly meant to be served with seafood. Came with beef, pork, chicken etc. in. Restaurant just said that’s what ‘seafood’ is. All they offered was store credit.

We had a delivery from here yesterday and OMG, it was excellent. Most Chinese takeaways these days are putting bbq sauce on their fried rice, but not these guys. We had the Lucky Wok's fried rice, which came with oyster sauce, and it was so delicious. The portion size was good and was delivered slightly ahead of time by the most friendly & courteous guy you can imagine. Safe to say, we will be ordering from here a lot in the future. Thank you so much guys.

We have ordered from a few Chinese takeaways over the last couple of months, and this was the best by far. The food was delicious and top quality. It was delivered early by a very friendly and courteous driver. Thank you, Lucky Wok. We will be ordering from you again soon.

Was 25 mins late ! I called and was told they were waiting for the driver which meant by the time I did get it it wasn't very hot . But it was tasty, although a bit pricey .

Tasty, good level of spice in the Singapore chow mein.

Whilst the food was tasty and hot the portion sizes are pretty stingy. The combo dishes ( salt n chilli chips with salt n chilli chicken for example £6.80) contained exactly 8 chips and the container was 2/3 full at best. It took way too long to be delivered as well. Tasty hot food but portion sizes are too small ( not cheap either) and took way too long to be delivered.

Speedy service, very friendly delivery lady which is rare these days. The food is really tasty and cooked well. On our second order the food got even better this is rare with Chinese restaurants these days. Highly recommend lucky wok.

Delicious and delivered early. Delivery driver phoned 5 minutes early to give me time to meet the car and described his car so I knew what to look for. Very polite and apologetic for being a bit late to what he said on the phone which was no bother at all. Food was piping hot and delicious. Would definitely order again!!

It was the worst Chinese we’ve received from this restaurant. We order quite regularly but after tonight I don’t think we will be again.

Ordered crispy duck, extra crispy and it was but was literally scrag ends, the veg we got with it was just enough for one crispy duck roll, VERY disappointing considering the cost of duck and cucumber and spring onions are pennies? Probably glad I asked for extra crispy as we got all the tiny bits, not worth the money at all, comes with a note and an offer not order from just eat, totally dissatisfied, sorry lucky wok, the bone made it look good was so disappointed, won’t order again

Ordered at 1915. Delivery time 2005-2025. Arrived at 2055! Decided to order from Lucky Wok because of their customer reviews, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed. The food was okay but nothing special in our opinion, my wife described the Pad Thai as 'a bit tasteless'. We have regularly had better from a takeaway with a lower rating. The long wait for delivery only added to our disappointment - however on the plus side - the food was hot when it arrived, and there was plenty of it.

Dry chicken satay. Dry ribs. Dry and smallest chicken wings ever

Late to arrive chips cold and half full,prawn crackers stale, satay chicken wasn't what i expected not on skewers n sauce was watery full veg and chill beef wasn't crispy.

The food didn't come after 2 hours they decided to tell us our order was never received despite us calling twice and asking to add to our order and them saying "no problem". We are hungry and annoyed now.

Considering I pre-ordered and have enjoyed countless meals from this takeaway it's been increasingly getting worse for the quality of the food being lukewarm and clumped portion sizes. Half empty cartons and stale chips .. definitely not my favourite Chinese anymore!!!
