Absolutely disgusting most of it went in the bin .very expensive and very disappointing never ordering again.used to live in tamerton and was local takeaway used to be good shame it’s so bad now worst Chinese I have ever had…..

Not going to lie. We usually go to southway Chinese, but they had phone issues so decided to try may fong. Well we weren’t disappointed. Had a long wait but again may have been because of above. Only criticism if I can call it that is portions were huge.. also no barbecue sauce with ribs. That said will definitely return and recommend. Well done

Our first try last night and i must say, Not great at all! Messed up our order and did not taste great. Chips were over cooked and greasy. What we did managed to eat, made us feel pretty poorly till the next day. Will be sticking to my usual Chinese else where.

May Fong is our local village takeaway. It is consistently good and always tasty. Ok, maybe they sip up slightly now and then but we are all human, 90% of their food is lovely and living in the village we are pleased to have May Fong, thank you

I live my Chinese and like a decent meal we have been around the circuit and came back to this one. Good quality and fast service. Seems cheaper with a lot of places recently putting their prices up. Would recommend.

Prices are good, food is wonderful and when delivered is always within the time they estimate. Highly recommend them.

Yet another lovely meal from May Fong

Had mouldy water chestnuts over a year ago. Thought I would try it again .. part of order missing and one meal was wrong meal. Called them was told it was what I ordered. Never again !!

Ordered Chow main but was sent rice that I'm allergic to. When calling said there is nothing that can be done it's the same price. So they have lost a customer and getting a bad review. Attitude is terrible the girl even repeated the order on the phone. Food went in the bin it's never on time and mostly always cold chips are always burnt. Time to try southway Chinese.

Absolutely disgusting! Worst food I’ve ever eaten and I would not feed to my dog They would not give me a refund so I threw it all in the bin and even threw the bin in a bin! Please do not waste your money on this place as 1/10review

Can't fault the food I order once sometimes twice a week and never a problem with the food. Saturday night 7/11/20 I called was told a hour and half for delivery or 45 minutes for collection before I could order was asked to wait 2mins then I was cut off this happened 3 times to me so I never called back. Its rude to ask someone who is calling to wait then cut them off. Maybe if it's that busy have two members of staff on the phone. I said to the girl on the phone she cut me off but she didn't seem to care a lot. To be cut off 3 times is Ridiculous and no Remorse of a simple sorry.

Stopped off for a take away after a pint in The Seven Stars. Food good and large portions, would recommend.

This is our local Chinese but we rarely use it, and I am reminded why this evening. Nothing tasted fresh and there was a bit of a tang, leaving me feeling a bit unwell after eating! Won’t be using again.

I ordered Triple Roast. Sweet & sour chicken with curry sauce and chips. The triple roast was inedible dry horrible. The chicken balls were dry like the chicken was microwave first. And the chips were cooked over and over were like bullets. I talked to the chef with no joy of him telling to to f@#@ off and putting the phone down. I would advice that you try some place different if you can't call and complain. May Fong should change to May wrong...

Good food, great service. I have been using this take away for 30+ years.... They will altwer set menus and spice things up (or down) if required.

Disgusting. Isn’t even chilli beef . Very rude staff ! And all meat is tough. Never had such a worst experience in my life. What a waste of money.

Food arrived cold, they got the order wrong and I was refused a refund after complaining. They also told me not to write my review on Facebook. Wouldn't like to see anyone else spend there hard earned cash on such utter rubbish.

I've lived in the village for several years and can't say that I've ever had a bad meal from May Fong.I usually order either Hot Chilli and Garlic Special or Special Curry and it's always really tasty, so much so that I didn't know it had changed ownership as some other reviewer said.

Recently taken over and definitely gone downhill. Food lukewarm and not as expected due to high standard of last ownership. Duck in plum sauce came out dry duck with tin of pineapple and hard to find egg in egg fried rice and no more free prawn crackers over £15!Never again as two bad meals from there now

Food is a bit hit and miss from here. I think it depends who is cooking at the time. What annoys me though is a minimum £15 pounds order to pay by card. Popped in to pick a takeaway up on the way home but they wouldn't let me pay by card even when i offered to pay the 90p extra charge that they used to accept. They lost out on a £10 sale because of this silly rule. I went to Southway Chinese instead. Much better altogether.

Had the duck curry last night should be renamed as duck skin curry as that’s all that was in it so I fed it to the dog greasy watery curry sauce and onions mmm worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had won’t be back lived in the village 15 years and it’s never been so bad avoid and go to Crownhill instead

This has been in the village for ages & never ceases to please... Hot & tasty food with an extensive menu & will deliver promptly... Go on, give it a try & you will be hooked... You know you want to! :-)

We had family visiting for the weekend and we always have a May Font meal as it's delicious and lots of it they tell you it will be with you within the hour and they've never let us down yet .Highly recommended

We had never used this takeaway before and we decided to try it when a leaflet came through the door. The duck curry was beautiful and the portions are large enough to be split between two people so there is value for money as well. The only day the are not open is Tuesday. Will be ordering from here again as the staff are very nice and the lady who answered the phone sounded lovely and very happy.
