I highly recommend this little restaurant right on the beach front. I had the seafood platter and enjoyed it very much. Amazing food, amazing views and great service. I was served by Elle, Abbie and Nigel, they were very helpful and polite and recommended some of their ciders although I went with a cold peach iced tea 😋. Will definitely be visiting again!

Not enough staff in the bar/restaurant. The 2 waiters were so busy and never stopped. This meant tables were very delayed in being cleared once people vacated their table and this made the area look messy. Also having to order drinks at the bar also meant a long wait as only one member of bar staff working. No clean cutlery available. However, food excellent and the 2 waiters were so polite and I hope their non stop hard work does not go unnoticed by management.

Had food from here delivered twice whilst we were staying in Hele Bay last week. Absolutely delicious, both times.

Fish and chips. No bother, no hassle, just fish and chips.

Superb food. Chicken Jalfrezi was the hottest we've ever had but absolutely fabulous. Garlic nan and chilli nan breads delicious. The butter chicken was superb. Very friendly staff. Came here last year when staying at The Mole. Hope to visit again next year and will be ordering from here again.

Poorly run. No one seating people or saying 1hr wait for food, with kids, at 6pm. Queue for bar for 30mins then they tell you. Updated for their reply: it doesn’t take 2wks “tireless work” to ask and answer 1 question on the door. You could offer a free drink else why would I try again?

Very friendly, and welcoming with character. Would be 4 stars, but for us the X factor was that they have a tasty gluten free and vegan mushroom pie (not on the old menu on Google), served with lovely veg that sorted us both for the evening, so kudos to the Ancient Mariner!

Excellent Sunday lunch. An elevated version of a roast. Not too fussy but very very tasty. Superb value for money. Service excellent as ever and the venue is very comfortable it makes for a lovely meal out.

We were visiting the area to attend a family wedding and booked lunch here prior to checking in at a local hotel. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the customer service throughout was exemplary. Our Sunday lunch was cooked to perfection. It consisted of a good variety of vegetables as well as the meat and all the trimmings. All the ingredients were of a high quality and really delicious. Thank you for looking after us so well following our long journey.

We visited the Grill twice and the food and service were brilliant each time. The food is fresh and very well thought out and prepared and the staff and knowledgable and friendly. Tips need to be in cash - so bring cash!
