One of the best wetherspoons in UK. Always clean and tidy, great service, and always a good selection of draft beer. However the food quality has plummeted, portions suffering from shrink-ation. I had 10 chips with my burger! Which resembled a basic McDonalds cheeseburger. Will not be dining here again.

Food was absolutely spot on, quick and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. All in all a brilliant experience

Typical JD menu, was a sunny evening and the place was very busy but only about 10 minutes wait for food and drinks.

Its a Wetherspoons. Its was heaving really busy. Food, beer and shorts were all good. I don't have one but perhaps you should make your outside space dog friendly.

Wetherspoons is a good freindly pub a bit pricey but worth it.Even for a quick drink. swing bye and have a meal with family and freinds i defantly recomened it.

Better than expected as we know whether spoon has its own drawbacks as pre cooked servings this place has good atmosphere being in holiday place with lot of seatings and open tables as well

Advise you get a receipt and check it. We were overcharged BUT it was rectified very efficiently when I pointed it out.

This has to be one of the best Wetherspoons there is. We have been to these pubs up and down the country so we are able to accurately comment that this place is one of the best. Excellent both inside and out, excellent rooftop bar. Food is great, service is excellent. Food is nice staff are friendly. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great location, staff not helpful regarding allergies etc, push you too a screen and once you've sorted what you want they tell you they dont sell that here!

Good size venue, staff were nice. Food was not great. My sons pizza was rock solid and I got very sick from the cod and chips even though it did taste and look ok. Cheap prices in an ideal location.

Not the best . More expensive. One half of the bar is ok the other seems like a mishmash of tables and crammed in like sardines. I like the idea of an open kitchen. Food ok, the red wine was not that nice.

Located not far from the harbour, not too crowded when we went to get some food, which arrived quickly. Good selection of food and drinks. There is also a roof terrace and there's a bar upstairs as well.

How can you go wrong with a Wetherspoon. Still good value and quick service. Easy to order on the app.

Prices have gone up and serving sizes reduced. Very expensive for the tiny portions. Probably won't return :-(

Visited for an evening meal with a party of 4, sat outside on the fantastic roof terrace! Food was good and warm, service was great. Revisited a couple of days later for breakfast and this too was very good food and top service. Highly recommended!

Really nice location and place to sit in Ilfracombe, we visited at peak breakfast rush and food still came out in good time. My eggs Benedict were very solid however which was a bit disappointing but still a nice meal

Spent a few days in Illfracombe with my family and called in on a couple of occasions, I’d like to thank Gareth who was the perfect host and was lovely when we encountered some not nice folk when sat outside, thank you for the kind Customer service it really made our visit so much nicer 😊 Weatherspoons you have a good one there !

Food was great, atmosphere was friendly, service from one barmaid in general not so good, when ordering food she wouldn't accept how we wanted it cooked and said it comes how comes!

I love this pub. If you come to ilfracombe, you have got to sit on the roof veranda. Absolutely amazing

Popped in on the way back from a walk with my daughter. The food was nice and hot. It was very busy for a week night.

Tried their new cocktail selection, by far and away the worst thing I have ever had in my mouth. I should add, I was severely abused. Rather drink that again, do not reccomend. Unfortunately cannot give no stars, staff okay.

I've got say this but this is probably one of the best spoons I've been it . The roof terrace is amazing . Definitely worth a visit if in ilfracombe . The staff very helpful and quick service 10/10

Large Wetherspoons pub near the sea. Large beer garden. Usual offer, but surprisingly, no local guest beers. Nevertheless, there is plenty of choice. Service good. Food is regulation Wetherspoons. Prices as expected - very affordable. It's worth a visit.

Dead place.RIP Awful management by David. I was enjoying the first round of drinks with a party of 9 until 1 member of our group had a drag from a vape inside. A friendly member of staff then asked for it not to happen again and that should have been the end of it. We then headed to the bar to find we were ALL BANNED from getting anymore drinks. Punishing 1 person I can understand but punishing 8 people is unnecessary. Sod it, I headed to the bar and was served one loverly pint of Stella. Just 2 sips later, David the manger marched over and demanded he takes it from me. I’m sure you can fill in the gaps of what happened next. (A very unhappy customer) To David please communicate better and have a better approach to handling a large party of guests.

My first time i n Spoons and loved it, great service, the app works very well, food was delicious and the beer, well the beer is great and what fantastic prices! This pub looks great and during sunny days has a fantastic roof terrace.

Food and drink were acceptable. The attitude of the staff varied from very good to disinterested to downright insolent.

One of the most expensive weatherspoons I've visited.

Utterly terrible food, worse than what you would typically expect from a wetherspoons. Overpriced for the quality completely and the bar and tables were dirty. Would recommend avoiding this place where you can.

Not just one of the best Wetherspoons I've been in but one of the best pubs I've been in too. The staff were genuinely friendly and extremely hard working. The pub itself was immaculate. As soon as people left a table within seconds it was cleared of all plates and glasses and table cleaned and floor swept. Ample parking nearby even a small car park at rear. We stayed in nearby Combe Martin for 10 days and made this our place to go to and each visit the same high standards were observed.

I love this place it big and has pleasant staff and good cheap pint of Guinness but the best part it the roof terrace. It really is a great sitting out in the open and with the green astro turf under you feet you feel you are sitting in a garden there is a net above you to keep the seagulls out so no problem eating food. All in all a great place. I just wish we had one like it where I live 👍

Did not like the queuing system, six people in front of me ordering drink's for upto four people then ordered meals lousy service. And don't want to know about the application they will be putting robots in next.

This Wetherspoon pub/restaurant is the best I've ever visited. The security presence was reassuring, and staff were constantly cleaning tables, maintaining a tidy environment. The workers here are exceptional - friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely brilliant, exceeding my expectations for pub fare. From the atmosphere to the service and cuisine, everything was top-notch. I'd definitely recommend this place to absolutely everyone, whether you're looking for a casual drink or a satisfying meal.

We were there on Wed 19th June 24, We had a lovely meal served by helpful friendly staff. Returned later in the day for a watering and again the staff were obliging. Recommend this establishment to any visitor's to the area. I would definitely go back if visiting again.

Prices keep going up, now on par with most other Pubs. But the bonus being you get a free drink with the meal. I love Weatherspoon's. Will always find one if I can. The burger was very very small but I did enjoy the meal.

2nd visit this week. 1st visit was okay food adequate. Today waited ror 9 minutes to be served at the ar, they were not busy, 2 people that came to the bar after me gave their orders and had their drinks served and then when the third atfer me was served I raised this fact , although this person said okay you go.I decided after previous experience and todays I felt positively let down. Evendrunks ordered from a table took priority over those at the bar. Disgraceful customer service.

We ordered the steak special, as it came with chips, onion rings, peas and tomatoes, although we have tried a lot of weatherspoons over time and usually have the same meal and really enjoy it, but this time the steak was very fatty and gristley, nit very chewable at all, so not a good experience at this one, I did mention it but all we was told is that they will inform the kitchen, not good at all.. but its a lovely place to have a drink..

Lovely atmosphere & Beautifully decorated.

Dirty horrible place full of down and outs.. The foods in these places has gone down hill poor quality and small portions. There are far better places to eat in Ilfracombe And just as cheap. We sat out side in the sun and was surprised they even ban dogs from theses seats what harm are they doing, I understand inside but out side its petty and ridiculous.

Good quality and great value for money…..the location and layout are ideal.

This has to be the very best Weatherspoons ever visited. We were lucky to have fine weather, so we sat outside on the terrace. The fake grass makes it look superb. It is very bouncy when you walk on it, rather entertaining. The terrace is so well planned out. they even have fine wires above you to prevent seagulls from grabbing your food. By the way, amazing loos.

Great pub always come to this pub when in devon ,normally good atmosphere,but today had to move table as very loud ,foul mouthed people ,can be heard very clearly I was not only one to move and nothing was said to them not great impression to new customers

Excellent food at a fantastic price

Lady who served me from the bar was very friendly and polite girl who bought the food out was very rude slammed the food on the table ignored us when asked for condiments when i went up to get cutlery she was very rude to me and said i have already put your knife and fork on the table in a rude manor it was she spoke to me also i asked her again about the condiments then again in a very snotty rude manor she said they are over there by the gaming machine she wasn't nice at all

There was a filthy cup left on the table we was sat at, I asked the waitress to remove it she just stood there stared at me, jaw ajar in disbelief, I asked again and said it was left there and she shot me a dirty look and responded sarcastically “yeah probably by the person sat there before” she then walked off to talk to the manager and they continued to stare at us and point from across the restaurant. This waitress had the most awful floral shirt on that really did give me a headache and I do wonder why she is working in a customer service role with absolutely zero manners. Food was stale and disgusting also

Our first day in Ilfracombe, so just stopped by for a drink in the sunshine. Delicious Rose and a good pint of beer!

Grabbed a table and ordered via app. It works so easily and well that it is almost like ordering from Amazon. Drinks and food were good and as everything was paid on app I could just leave when ready.

Certainly the best Wetherspoons I've been in. Clean, good staff, great external places to walk to. Definitely worth 5 stars.

The first time I visited this cafe, I came across someone's long hair in a burger in a cutlet. Another time I came and had to serve myself, that is, carry my drinks to my table. The steak I ordered was raw. I ordered two portions of potatoes, but they brought one, although I repeated several times. Also, I ordered three dishes, but only two were brought, although I paid for three portions. Regarding alcohol... I asked what additives are there for alcohol, whether there is tonic, as a result, alcohol was mixed with plain water. Maybe it was some misunderstanding, I forgive it, but please be more careful next time. Thank you🤝🏻🙂

It was the Easter holidays when we visited so it was a very busy lunchtime with lots of families but the service and food was to the usual Wetherspoons standard.
