What a lovely cafe serving classic British food. Well worth ordering the English breakfasts as they are great value for money and extremely tasty. So much better than a chain coffee shop and much friendlier. Highly recommended.

What a lovely little place, the first day I had eggs benedict it was exceptional honestly first class and Hannah had the Hot beef baguette. We returned a second time after climbing the valley of the rocks this time I had the Hot exmoor beef with a jacket potato it was beautiful. The lady's were lovely it really should be on anyone list if you want some good homemade food. The cream teas are also excellent.

Visited here recently whilst at the cliff railway. Lovely, quaint little tea rooms. Could not believe how cheap the drinks were. Just goes to show that these places can compete with the big chains on price Really nice, clean outlet. Drinks were of a high quality. We had coffees, cola and a milkshake served in an old style school milk bottle (funny having to explain significance of the bottle shape to my son)

Love this place. Abi is amazing and so friendly. She always makes our visits perfect and nothing is too much trouble. Add to that the fact that our dogs are always warmly welcomed too which makes it perfect. Also, her chicken curry is lovely.

We had problems finding somewhere open to have lunch on a Monday afternoon, as nearly everywhere was shut, and came across Abi's Cafe in Lynton's main street. Formerly The Old Coach House, this small eatery serves mainly light lunches, snacks and cakes. I can vouch for the Spicy Lentil and Coconut Soup with Granary Bread, which was like eating a delicious Lentil Curry without the rice. This coupled with the friendly and prompt service, has ensured that I will want to re-visit if and when I'm next in the area.

Best place in pretty Lynton for a trad breakfast, as far as I could tell. Pleasant space with well-separated tables and we weren’t bombarded with recorded music, for which they get extra points (the not too loud radio was fine). My fried eggs on toast with sausages were great, as was the cappuccino. Friendly service. Only complaint: there should be salt and pepper grinders on each table rather than the measly little sachets they offer. Visitor tip: while there, do the fine walk to the Valley of Rocks and then the dramatic coastal walk back to the town centre (no more than about an hour in total).

Disgusting behaviour, received a phone call from this establishment who hung up when I answered, I called back as I didn’t know the number, to met with a woman who said it wasn’t here and hung up on me again! I rang back no answer, rang again to have the call answered then someone blowing a raspberry and hanging up again, so I called again to say how bad this was for a customer service business, they answered never spoke at all when asking if it was the old coach house only to say nothing to me and hang up again!! such poor customer service and disgusting behaviour

The BEST Cream tea in the country. I had my first ever cream tea here and had to take out daughter for her first cream tea. The scones are massive and perfectly baked, the cream is thick and tasty and jam is lovely. Will absolutely return whenever we are in the area. Lovely friendly service, lots on the menu but it will always be the cream tea for me

Popped in for a coffee and sandwich. Tasty food at a reasonable price and a lovely Devon cream tea to follow. However, we found one of the servers a little abrupt. She mixed up our order, which is easily done to be fair, but got a little defensive when we pointed this out. Odd as there was no one else in the café apart from us (and the staff) at this time.

Disappointed with our visit here for a late breakfast whilst camping in the area. The waitress rushed us through our order and spoke abruptly throughout. It felt very unwelcoming. Whilst the cost was ok the food was very average. Tomatoes with the breakfast were tinned plum ones. I wish we had walked further into the town where there are some other nice looking cafes. A friendlier service would have given us a much better start to the day on holiday.

The three staff appeared to be in a competition for which one could be the rudest. We got the winner. Took ages to "clean" a table for 6 of us. My sister was already seated with my 8 years old granddaughter. Woman moaned that she hated children and couldn't wait for school to begin again. My coffee was very weak. my other granddaughter couldn't drink the disgusting chocolate milkshake. Our final mistake was to ask to use the toilets, having been assured as we entered that they did have one. We were directed to a claustrophobic tunnel beside the shop to a revolting loo where the liquid (hopefully only that) flowed through an open pipe across the floor. Avoid at all costs.

Called in for an early coffee and tea cake which was good. However the server could not have been more miserable and whatever you do DO NOT ASK TO USE THE TOILET which is in an ally way next to the cafe it was DISGUSTING and yet they insist on hand sanitiser being going into the cafe !!! Seriously the toilet was like something from the slums with the water from the sink going all over the floor by the door and the cleanliness was appalling!!!!

A very quirky cafe precipitously situated in Lynton, which obviously has a lot of love and care invested in it. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. The ambience is very pleasant indeed. We popped into thus unpretentious café for a light lunch and were not disappointed. Lots of home-made food on offer. Wife had home made vegetable soup and a scope which were good. I had a ham ploughman's which is always a bit of a gamble as you don't know whether you're going to get sweaty supermarket ham but in this case is was good ham and the rest of the salad was also good. Coffee was also good to the extent that I had a second cup. All good.

Found this lovely little cafe and couldnt fault it. Dont listen to the whiney comments, some people make it their goal in life to complain. Covid regs were observed, the food was prompt, reasonably priced, fresh & tasted lovely. Had intended to pop in for a late lunch. Plenty of tables but were directed to a table for two right next to other customers so not able to socially distance as per government guidelines. Asked if we could move to another table which required clearly explained we were happy to wait. Not impressed to then hear them complaining that they had to clear the table and that they couldn't understand what was wrong with that offered. The tables were to close together. Surely customers have a right to feel at ease when eating out and be able to stay safe in the current climate. We were so annoyed by the comments made we refused to wait and walked away!!!

Cream tea was delicious, and good location. But social distancing between tables was non-existent. Also despite the cafe being part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, they only halved the price after we asked for it one time, and didn't at all the second (I didn't realise until leaving).

Food was very poor, the muffin of my eggs Benedict was so stale my knife couldn't cut through it. The staff was rather unfriendly, were struggling to get their attention. I stayed in Lynmouth for 3 days recently and this lovely traditional pub was one of my 'locals' for the duration.
