+food (4.5/5): sunset burger makes me feel like i’m back in south africa, beautiful seasoning and fresh bread and lovely melted cheese made it so delicious
+service (5/5): very friendly and informative about waiting times, good job.
+music: (3/5): they had bose speakers but the volume was a little bit low, if you’re gonna have those kind of calibre stereo systems in your restaurant might as well use them properly layout (5/5): love the design and art of all nandos restaurants this one was no exception
After few months i tried again Tesco Coffee shop, and unfortunately coffee served in does not taste like a coffee. Drink was very weak and delivered badly with lots of splits on the tray and small cup plate.
I still stand by my previous comment and do not recommend this place for coffee to any others coffee lovers.
Bouncers will trip up the stairs and blame the nearest person because they got a little bit embarrassed. Biggest bunch of egotistical power trippers going
The last time we were here was back in October 2023.
Food was an acceptable standard. One dish we ordered was Beef HoFun. Unfortunately, rehydrated HoFun was used, which wasn't an issue. But on this occasion, the HoFun wasnt properly rehydrated, as a result, it was soft on the outside and hard on inside, like under cooked rice. Every eatery deserves a chance so we thought it was just an oversight.
We visited again today for lunch. Big disappointment is an understatement.
Food was of very poor standard.
Egg tarts appeared to be from yesterday's (Chinese New Year) shift..
Oil used to deep fry the dim sum dishes we ordered definitely was old/tainted oil, which had been used to fry lobster/prawns.
The roast pork belly again was most likely from yesterday's shift. The rice texture gave me the feeling it was microwave reheated.
Certain steamed dim sum had the appearance/taste of frozen ready made fare from Chinese supermarkets.
The service was poor and attention to detail was non existent. A waiter brought back a refilled teapot. Spilled an amount on the table and walked off. Leaving us to deal with the mess. Not a big deal, but to not acknowledge the accident wasn't very professional.
Overall, it was a poor show at best. Waiting staff definitely need training, as for the food, I can only say that they need to raise their game.
Daikoku. Not a bad experience. Things to work on- ask how food is, probably too crowded when full, too much ginger in Miso ramen.
Thought the Karage very good.
Quite a “staff canteen” but open to visitors / public. Excellent choice / variety of food and very competitively priced. Hot drinks are bizarre; you pay at the till and then receive an empty cup to go and serve yourself tea / coffee. Self clean after eating.
Reading the negative reviews, what a load of rubbish, been ordering from here for a few years now, every meal has been piping hot, and delicious, if you want a decent curry then this is definitely the best by far in gloucester.

Very good quality burgers and fries as always and the staff is lovely. Skylar is doing a great job both in her restaurant in Cheltenham and when coming to help the team in Gloucester.
We Booked breakfast as part of our annual stay in quays each Christmas,This place has no sole, energy or personality. Our breakfast experience was tainted by luke warm breakfast items and a long wait as the kitchen simply misread the service numbers which surely would be projected by confirmed booking times from the premier inn software. It saddens me to say after many years of using the beef eater as part of our visit we will simply look else where for food.It needs an enthusiastic work force underpinned with enough staff to deliver the service.

They new crew should take fish and chips off the menu. It was dreadful and went straight in the bin!!! The previous owner made excellent fish and chips. We had been going there for several years.
They will be missed.
