Daikoku. Not a bad experience. Things to work on- ask how food is, probably too crowded when full, too much ginger in Miso ramen. Thought the Karage very good.

Not that impressed small with awful bench style seating, so you can’t sit back and relax. Two armchairs looking out on a nice view of the Quays, but occupied unfortunately. Certainly not cheap £8.10 for two lattes, won’t be rushing back.

Daikoku ramen Beautiful meal really helpful staff my son had a panic attack staff saw the issue and offered to box meal up no fuss! The only draw back it’s a really small place shame it’s not a little bigger. Ramen had lots of flavour would recommend and go again

Hetty's. Should have own review. Been here a few times, wanted to like it. However, not that friendly, overpriced and not comfortable to relax in.

On a recent trip to Gloucester Food Dock, my partner and I were very favourably impressed with the service and quality food and beverage at two of the establishments there. We started the evening with drinks at Hop Kettle, a comfy pub with a relaxed atmosphere, a fine selection of beverages and spectacular views of Gloucester Quays. Highly recommended. We then went for a Mexican dinner at Elote, just a short hop down the stairs from the pub. Everything about our dining experience there was first-rate. We were warmly greeted by Amy, whose friendly and attentive service immediately made us feel welcome. And the meal prepared by chefs J.B. and Amelia was spectacular. We both love Mexican cooking and this food was among the best we have ever had. Elote is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Very highly recommended!

Hetty's Place - One of the Independents in the Gloucester Food Dock. I am divided and disappointed as the place looks fantastic. The seating is weird and the table we were given had no backs on the chairs and hard seats. The menu looks lovely but the brunches and breakfasts on average £13/£15 which I think is a little expensive, however the food that was coming out looked lovely. We opted for a brownie and a coffee/hot chocolate, which for two of us was £17. The Brownies were amazing, I dont particularly like Brownies but they were stunning. Overall, a quirky little place with lots of potential, but the prices are too high and the seats too hard. Service was excellent.

This place is amazing. Full of independent restaurants and bars. Wholly gelato Strip steak Home Elote Hop Kettle Mia Pizza I have tried all of these and the quality is excellent. Lovely staff. Better than any local chain restaurant. Lucky to live a 5 minute walk.

Food very tasty, but small expensive portions. Was advised to have 2 or 3 dishes at £8/£9 each for an ‘average’ meal size.

Hetty’s Place. Nice food (had the halloumi and avo on sourdough) but small portions for the money. Hard seating, felt like being in an infant school. Lovely view of the docks obscured by weird paintings on the windows, and metal railings. Thought I’d have a cake (round with marshmallow inside) but for £6.50 I should have said ‘no thanks’. Hope the server didn’t see the look on my face when she rang up the price. Sounds negative… but I can only comment on what my experience was on that day.

This isn't one venue, it's a collection of several small independent food outlets. Each should really have their own TripAdvisor entry. I haven't tried them all so can't give an overall rating. I'd like to give Hetty's Place, specialising in brunch and brownies, a great review, but it isn't on here on its own. :(

After few months i tried again Tesco Coffee shop, and unfortunately coffee served in does not taste like a coffee. Drink was very weak and delivered badly with lots of splits on the tray and small cup plate. I still stand by my previous comment and do not recommend this place for coffee to any others coffee lovers.

Reading the negative reviews, what a load of rubbish, been ordering from here for a few years now, every meal has been piping hot, and delicious, if you want a decent curry then this is definitely the best by far in gloucester.

+food (4.5/5): sunset burger makes me feel like i’m back in south africa, beautiful seasoning and fresh bread and lovely melted cheese made it so delicious +service (5/5): very friendly and informative about waiting times, good job. +music: (3/5): they had bose speakers but the volume was a little bit low, if you’re gonna have those kind of calibre stereo systems in your restaurant might as well use them properly layout (5/5): love the design and art of all nandos restaurants this one was no exception
