Butlers Venue Bar in Gloucester

Bouncers are absolutely disgusting. Attacked 3 women for no reason. Threw this poor young women to the ground and kneeled on her head on the concrete while she is screaming in pain (when she was only trying to make sure her friend is okay) All because her friend slapped a man for harrassing her. This isn't the first I've witnessed an attack from the bouncers at butlers and I am so utterly disgusted that they are allowed to carry on like that.

Was served by Ethan, he was very rude and scoffed at us when we were ordering. Made the order wrong and then shrugged and scoffed when we said it wasn’t correct. Wasn’t busy either so no need to be rude and stressy

RACIST. Didn’t accept a non English ID although this person has an ID for living here for indefinite leave. Stupidity from the bouncers to only accept a certain ID.. Even though it’s legal in every other way.

I don't recommend this place to anyone. because the security of this premises is abusing its powers. On Saturday, I witnessed a group of six attacking a man who was not aggressive at all. shame on this local.

Drinks weren't too horrendously priced and the music was not too loud which is a huge plus for me. They have a dance floor and polls to dance on if you're feeling brave 😂

I am all for reducing knife crime and can see the need for security measures such as metal detectors in a busy city centre bar. However, Butlers #Bar103 do not, as they claim, operate airport style security. My daughter got thrown out of this venue last Friday night because she didn't want to go through their metal detector due to the risk of damage to the internal part of her #cochlear #implant #processors. Having let her in initially, the bouncer then tracked her down inside, shouted at her and threw her out as his 30 second reading of some website apparently gave him more knowledge of her #cochlear #implants than her 18 years of living with them. All she was doing was following the expert advice the advice given to her to date from the implant centre not to go through metal detector. She has flown all over Europe and the Americas with no issue and has never been treated so appallingly! She offered a pat down search but was refused. No reason was given for throwing her out. Certainly not that she had a knife! Do they treat people with #pacemakers in the same way? This was clearly nothing more than a power trip for the security guard and #disability #discrimination. Their security guards need some urgent #disability/#deaf #awareness #training. #BBCAccessAll

Guy who owns it is a bit clepped, other than that fantastic bar, probably one of the best in England tbh.

I enjoyed the Butlers. I appreciated how staff was continually having the space clear of empty glasses. The music was ok. I will assess my review after I understand the DJs. I will spend a couple of nights before I make my final assessment bit so far. .. 3 stars... Mr DJ put the (right) music on!

Drinks are cheap. Great for students or younger people.

My daughter was hit in the face from a flying bottle, cut on the eye, trip to A&E and a scar for life. Club recorded the incident but didn’t bother to take her details. Disgrace.

Great venue, very big smoking area, we love to see it, very friendly staff, security are top lads i remember one being called alex was absolutely top notch. Definietly check out the place, its a bit more of a quiet club night but definietly holds its place.

Security and bartenders are really friendly, helpful! The bar is really clean, beer garden is nice, the music was fab!! We spent a really nice night, we will back soon!!!

Very rude door staff turning select people away saying the bar is too full and letting in the people behind them in the line, stating they were already in there when they had followed us from the regal. Believe it was Justin on the door wouldnt give me a direct anwser just started arguing saying to go report him then. Been going for years but wont dare go near the place again. Gone really downhill and when i messaged the page and emailed had no resonse at all.

No such thing as a great nightclub, I haven't been in a while but the lights are nice. Only drawback is the drunken peeps fighting now and then
