Nando's in Gloucester

Chicken dry and cold, manager could careless when we told him Floor around the table filthy Worst Nando's I've ever been in You see by the companies response that the couldn't careless attitude is from the Top down. Hence why they are the only restaurant that takes your money before they serve you.

Food was so cold when it arrived portions have become very small for the price you pay! 😞 As a South African living in the UK I enjoy eating Nandos, but after the let down from my last 3 meals I can honestly say I doubt I'll be buying it again. 😢

There was a young man with a checkered shirt who walked around and interrupted other staff (uniformed) works. He grabbed the menu when I was ordering. His presence walking around and chatting with friends was annoying to some extent. Otherwise, it was a fine experience overall

Went here for my adult daughter’s birthday The manager was overcompensating looked after us throughout the nig made sure we had the best service The manager who served us was the best even though we need more managers like that. Good service goes a long way We Very appreciated the hospitality and the food was on point thanks again

The quality taste and the size of the portion are poor small and was burnt too.. compared to the other Nandos in UK. We went to have the lunch thinking will be full for the day as usual.. but Allas!!! The Ortiz of rice and chicken were so small and the chicken was not cooked properly and was burnt and the lemon and herb were not present instead it was taste like burnt. Went with my kids and we all end up having something from KFC

Lovley service by such caring staff. I can see that the team is very nice and close. Food was great! However, the wrap is 10% chicken 30% lettuce and 60% wrap. Cutlery was a bit disappointing as normally the table is all served with cutlery and napkins beforehand, payed all nicely. But here you have to get your own or they hand you scrunched up napkins. Quite nice how servers ask if there was anything wrong with your meal as some people may feel too shy too. I was full so diddnt eat much of an item, a lovley server noticed and asked politely if there was anything wrong with it. Will be returning, thanks!

Very good service. Not sure of this name but someone who seemed to be the team leader/ manager gave great service. He checked in on us & got me a bag and some sauce to take the remainder of my food I didn’t eat home. Definitely made me feel like I’d like to go again.

Good friendly staff and service.

Food came out one at a time. Two plates were completely cold, though they brought fresh plates apart from chips, and the rest was warm at best. Real disappointment

Fantastic service and great food

We had an awful experience at TGI Fridays. We walked in to Nandos and were immediately looked after by Miguel. One of the best front of house staff that I’ve ever met. Nandos are really lucky to have him!

We came in to shop at the outlet. We have been here before. Always good. This weekend Fergus made our day. So friendly and efficient in service and welcoming you.

Stellar service! I always enjoy coming to Nando’s and have never tried dining at this branch, and my family and I were impressed. We will definitely be returning!

First time most of my family had visited. It was friendly, well organised and clean. Good choice on the menu. Food arrived quickly and we enjoyed it a lot..! I would heartily recommend the place 🙂

Good food, good service, as expected.

Popped in for lunch with my sister inlaw, the staff were lovely very polite and couldn't do enough to help, and when I asked for a box so I could possibly give it to someone who may be in need, they were so helpful and even gave us some cutlery to take with us x

It's the first time visiting this Nando's branch, while on holiday with my family. Upon arrival, we were then greeted at the door by the lovely Miguel, who was very helpful and gave us great customer service and a warm welcome. The food was excellent, too. I ordered the Caesar Salad with two chicken thighs for lunch, as I hadn't tried this before, and it was very good indeed. Well, I really enjoyed my time here overall today. It was a great experience, and we will certainly be back again next time when we're in the area!!!

Very attentive staff and good food

Popped in to Nandos with my Dad for a bit of lunch. We each ordered the grilled chicken wrap and we asked for a bowl of chips too. The wraps looked very small on the side of a standard sized dinner plate. The chips didn't come in a bowl, but were put on to one of our plates. The wraps did taste amazing. Would definitely go there to have another as they were very tasty. Just surprised at the small size of them on the plate, but the taste made up for it. The food came very quickly and the staff were chatty. Overall it was a great experience.

It’s just Nando’s. It’s the first British Nando’s I’ve had in 7 years. The sauces are great, as they always were. The service was great, as it always was. The chicken was a dry stringy mess, the chargrill flavour was lacklustre at best. I was a bit disappointed, the quality of the food has gone south in the last 7 years.

Selected a random place. Food was decent but nothing special. They served us quickly, but portions were smaller than expected.

Actually I gave Nandos Park Road Bristol a thumbs down and thought the franchise may have listened .. clean bottles of sauce and great service 👌 ...

Food is standard for nandos, but restaurant could do with a good clean and music is always too loud to even think Edit: still the same

The manager (I think, the only guy not in uniform) was absolutely LOVELY - best customer service I’ve received in a long time!

Its not fair to expect perfection, i get that. The staff were great! but the chicken in the burger seemed small, with very little salad. And very tight portion of fries. I asked for more & fair enough they bought some over. Still very expensive. £12 for a small chicken burger & very small portion of fries? Refillable glass Vinegar bottles seemed left open with their nozzles missing which felt very unhygienic. No salt to be seen anywhere... & i left with belly ache to top it off for some reason

Nice clean place , lovely staff

Having visited several time ,could say the place is fab with its amazing vibe but the prices are outrageous and no discounts.

I've a bit of a love hate with Nandos over the years. Generally love the food though find it a bit over priced. And the service/quality can be very hit and miss depending on which one you visit. However I will be back to this Nandos time and time again. We stopped in this past Sunday and we're pleasantly surprised to find tons of staff on hand, so despite being busy, everything flowed quickly and smoothly. The place was super clean and tidy. With the staff pouncing on tables to clean them as people left, but didn't rush you while you were at the table. The staff were super helpful and couldn't do enough to make the visit a good one. The food came out quick and fresh and was perfectly cooked. So we shall definitely be back to this one.

I'm French! I've been wanting to experiment Nando's for long weeks because of Matt Cardona lol and I finally did tonight! Took the missus there for Valentine's Day. The food was banging and we absolutely loved it. Thanks loads!

Excellent experience, the food was fantastic I've never had nandos that good before! The food was out quickly after we ordered too so no waiting around, definitely will be returning again!

We had a great dinner, everyone enjoyed their food... Mac and cheese, chips, chicken wings and chicken pita. The people were very nice and we will definitely come back when in the area.

I used to like Gloucester Nando’s so much & l was a regular customer but lately they have turned the lovely restaurant into a filthy dirty place the glasses & the cutlery are filthy dirty the floor is always so filthy dirty l cnt imagine where they cook the food. It was never that bad it used to be well kept & managed. I had to wash my own cutlery in a glass lol 😂 😂😂they were going to have me wait and talk to a few people just about cutlery while my food gets cold. If you check out the tins that they put the cutlery in OMG 🙄 I recommend the food health security team to check it out l fear for our health in Gloucester. Someone has to do something please.

Nando’s seems to have an issue across the board at its venues lately where the service is just so slow. There were 3 people working the floor of a very busy Sunday Christmas shopping shift, just not enough staff so the service takes a long time. There were loads of tables uncleared cos they had one guy trying to clear. Not great if you don’t have all day.

Food was great, service was too. Some people dislike the app ordering and paying before the meal but I prefer it. Thanks very much

Used to visit Cheltenham as this one had long waits and miserable staff. Noticed a new guy seems to be some sort of manager. He’s class really polite and friendly. Food come fast and I usually am so fussy as I like my chicken really spicy and well cooked. I explained and they smashed it, really tasty. Shoutout to the new lad

What an amazing experience from start to finish at Gloucester Nandos! I visited with my family and upon our arrival we were greeted like old friends and taken to our table. Service and food were amazing- great atmosphere and I would throughly recommend a visit. I had a Fino pita and it was well prepared - tasty and well presented. Without doubt the best place to eat when at Gloucester Quays - please give it a go!

Absolutely brilliant service, and my daughter has a dairy intolerant and everything was dealt with very well. A big thank you to all the staff made our evening meal lovely.

Lovely food as always, however there is an issue with the door that brings in a very cold draft and that makes your food cold not enjoyable at all needs to be fixed , took a long time to get our food over 40 mins and made up excuses as to why .

I am huge Nando’s person and been to many Nando’s in different parts of UK. As usual food was nice but the waiting time here was ridiculous. Even brownie took around 15 mins to arrive. They need to defo improve on waiting times

Absolutely perfect. Food was hot and tasty, restaurant was clean and service was brilliant. I didnt catch the waiters name, a young lad with brown wavy hair - he was exceptional.

I Couldn’t even order my food as I had no signal on my phone and wasn’t willing to use unsecured WiFi . Was told oh well you better leave then if you’re not going to pay by cash. Worst manners ever from who I think was the manager.

This was my first visit to a Nandos. I had high expectations about this visit. Unfortunately I wasn’t over impressed. Didn’t like the ordering system. I had to order and pay through my phone before I eat?! What if the food wasn’t good?! The breast chicken was dry and was difficult to cut, small portion of rice, chips saved the day… The ordering system doesn’t create a relation between the customer and the waiter. At the end of the meal I just walk out of the restaurant, it is paid there is no worries from the waiter… The music was loud so the customers were also loud, it wasn’t a really pleasant and comfy environment. I was only thinking during the meal to get out of there. Nothing special with the food, average, what a disappointment.

Had lunch here today with my daughter. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was great. Great selection on menu. Nice selection of drinks.

Both the Spicy rice & Macho peas were served tepid. But plenty of extra hot sauce made up for it.

First visit to Nando’s and were treated really well with the menu fully explained. Food was of a high standard and came exactly as ordered. Decent size portions, good atmosphere in a clean restaurant. Worth a visit.

The order online is here to stay which makes life really easy. The food is great, I do love a nandos.

I ordered chicken and there was a hair ball in it, I had a water which was served warm, and they don’t clean their toilets!

Very nice staff, also very social and focused on customer needs. Sauces are great, although we can understand that some have strong flavours not to everyone's liking. The burgers we ordered were a tad too small for our appetite, but the fully loaded chips as sides nailed it. Toilets are upstairs and don't include changing tables, that's a downside.

Staff were so lovely, food was great

This was my first visit to a Nandos. Sorry I was not over impressed. I had to order and pay through my phone. That is ok, but what if the food is no good or you have to complain? You have already paid. The food was average at best. In my opinion, it was overpriced skinless KFC.

We had the Peri Peri chicken and lots of sides with the family. Food is well cooked especially the chicken and chips. Staffs are very friendly, waiting time for table wasn't a lot. Will visit Nandos even if at a different location

Great food and really friendly staff. We did have to wait quite a long time for the food which made this 4 star rather than 5. Also, they don’t take table bookings which is a shame when you come with a large group and can’t sit together. Lots of car parks nearby.

The service here was impeccable. Our experience was very enjoyable thanks to our waiter James who went above and beyond to check how we were doing throughout our meal and even took a family photo for us. We did not order online but if we did we would definitely rate him 5*. Thanks James 😄

Went for a sunday lunch. The weather the food the service were all amazing. My little one enjoyed the kids meal. I love the half chicken and 2 sides option. And bottomless coke. Just a perfect cheat meal.

First visit to Nando's, was a little more sophisticated / less fast foody than expected. Service very good.

Good food but creeping in price

This is the third time I have ordered a meal via the Nando’s website from Gloucester Quays and my order (delivered by Deliveroo) was incomplete. Rang the store and whilst they admitted it was Nando’s fault for not double checking what they had packed, I was told that I had to ring Deliveroo for a refund and make another order despite my family already having their food. I spoke to the manager and whilst I was frustrated with the situation, I was calm and polite, he was not interested and he refused to help in any way and I was being ‘unkind’. DO NOT ORDER FROM NANDO’S WEBSITE AS THEY CANNOT GET ORDERS CORRECT NOR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ERRORS!

Always have loved Nando's, recently went here for a date with my partner and we had a great experience! The restaurant was tidy, we were seen and seated very quickly, ordering through the app was very easy and quick. Food arrived quickly and was great as always! Staff were all smiles and very kind. The food was great, the chicken juicy and tender, the choices and personalisation brilliant, many sauces available to choose from and only for a little extra can you get unlimited refills on drinks! The bathrooms were very clean and functional despite how busy and popular the place is. Will always consider Nando's for date night!

Reading the reviews I can understand the Complaints with regards to cold and long waits for food. Had a table facing the kitchen, food is placed at the pass and that is where it sits for no apparent reason. More than enough Team members around and since they don't actually take your order at the table no reason for food to be sat waiting. When food did arrive chicken was Dry, most flavour came from the salt in the chips, which is available in Supermarkets.. no reason to eat at this place. Won't be returning... Better places at the quays.

Ordered through the app, completely wrong order arrived, the receipt was right - the food wasn’t at all, and even the food that did arrive was stone cold

Disgusted by lack of service ‘ an common sense ‘ seen our food on the pass for over 10 mins then asked why got no answer ruined meal

On Sunday 8/01/23 at about 12.30pm we were seated on Tables 5,6&7.The time it took to get our order ready took a long time. We were in a party of seven people the order for the two couples were relatively quick. But our order (3 of us) waited for at least 30 minutes before we approached a passing waiter , showed him our receipt and asked why it was taking so long. The reply we got was absolutely nonsense, stating that our order being chicken livers took a lot longer than other chicken to cook. Well, eventually the rest of our party had finished their meal, and I went up to the counter to enquire about our order. They looked into it and said that it wouldn’t be much longer. Eventually our food arrived and immediately noticed that it was very dry which indicated that it must have been sitting in a warmer for some time and forgotten about. Well I think that was disgusting service, and I think I will not be coming back in a hurry and definitely will not recommend it to anyone.

I would like to start by saying I understand how short staffed all of hospitality is since the pandemic but if this is the case these places should stop with the Deliveroo/just eat service as they quite obviously cannot cope with the strain of both eat ins and take out. I do feel really feel sorry for those working in these places as it can’t be easy but I feel I need to be honest about my experience this evening as I’m quite shocked at how poor it was. I can honestly say this was the worst experience I’ve had at Nando’s. The table was sticky, the chairs smelt musty, I had to ask for glasses after waiting 15minutes given glass was filthy, no gas in the drinks dispenser although various people asked what was wrong same waiter said “someone would change it” but seemed to do nothing. waitress constantly coughing over food she was carrying and the last straw was scraps of ketchup in 3 sticky filthy bottles and when I asked for some more the waitress said she would “get some from upstairs when she had finished” then didn’t bother. Food was average, and nobody asked how our food was or if we were ok. We left really disappointed that this was our one Christmas/NYE outing as a family tbh. Won’t be back.

Pleased about my visit... as we were finishing food tonight the manager came over and asked how things were, which I thought was quiet nice and a personalised experience, so hat off to you for that. I gave my honest feedback and felt he respected my opinion so, actually what could have been a worse experience. Good points. manager personally came over and asked for feedback. Chicken lush The decor was nice. Tidy, clean, looks like a well organised. Bad points Food sat on servery for way to long, so when we got the sharer meal for 2, the starters were unfortunately cold. :( The person at the till seemed moody, busy, stressed, over worked and just lacking a sense love for his job. The rainbow slaw just tasted bland. It was just veg. Could not taste the tangy sauce. Overall.... I would return again, you deserve to be successful, great location, great decor, its all ready for you guys and girls to take this place from a 6 to a 10 but please, please fix what needs to fixed, focus, devil is in the details... oh and do it with a smile 😃 haha xx

Not been here for ages I'd forgotten how good it was

V slow service. No greeting and no smiles. Tried to use app but took ages to register then stalled.

Tried to use a Nandos gift card here and was told they don't accept them when they're "busy". Turned around and walked out and enjoyed a lovely meal in one of the many food establishments nearby.

I love Nando's chicken anywhere. The advantage here was fast and professional waitress. Didn't ask for her name. She looked exotic. Thank You!

First time going there, but really enjoyed it. Definitely going again

The food is great no complaints , the ambience is as well great and the best spot for any restaurant business. The service is pathetic, the cutlery are unclean and the wait is too long.

Tried to reserve a table over the phone to be told they don't take reservations only to arrive with someone managing the queue say to "only queue up if you're on my tablet" so. There were empty tables but they weren't taking walk-ins.

Really disappointed had boneless meal which took about an 50 minutes to arrive after complaining was told meal was just being plated up arrived 10 minutes later very like warm complained to serving staff who did replace side orders but really whole meal should of gone back but after waiting that long you loose your faith really disappointed overall

Me and the girls love a Cheeky Nandos.... Last night we found the music loud and people struggling to hear other including when ordering which is why we all showed our orders at the til on the app. #nhsbadgediscount only at the til not an option on the app. The food arrived and sadly mine was sent back due to a mix up with the mayo, there was even a staff meeting around the till about it ( the pointing at the table made that very apparent), never the less they brought out the right order. Good chicken as always lovely piri piri fries and the others had great meals also. Gave it a 4/5

Irresponsible staff, very poor service..

Visited the Gloucester Quays Nandos. 2 Adults 2 Children at early lunch time. Table was not cleaned so asked for it to be cleaned and properly cleared. One person seating customers and numerous others chatting at the till. Eaten at Nandos around the country with our children as one has an allergy so always a safe bet. Children prefer a wrap rather than a burger bun so asked to swap the bun for a wrap, a request which has been accepted over 50 times in multiple restaurants including this one twice before. Was informed that the kitchen could not process that request. Asked why not and it was told that they just couldn't do it. No other explanation, I pushed back on that and asked what the difference was. The server after chatting to someone on the grill said that they could give us a wrap but we'd have to make it ourselves. I pointed out that this process is just wasting food. There was no other option. Ordered the other meals and waited for the usual amount of time at Nandos, approx 15 minutes as it was fairly quiet. When the food arrived we proceeded to take apart the burger and transplant it into the wrap. It was only after I got home and checked the receipt i'd stuffed in my pocket I noticed that the server had slyly slipped an extra charge into the order for the wraps. The point wasn't about the money, its the food waste and the deceitfulness of the server saying it was free and it was just because the kitchen was refusing to do it then whacking on a charge. Dropped my feedback on the Nandos form and get a response within a few days from Emilio, a customer services agent. I would find it easier and quicker to relay my thoughts and have an actual conversation with Emilio. Emilio simply passed my details to the restaurant then sent me a couple of emails later on saying he had tried to call me. He hadn't at any stage. The mobile I use is on at all times. JJ from the Gloucester site called, was argumentative and clearly didn't understand why I was disappointed with the extra charges being sneaked in and the hypocrisy of wasting the food when they claim to be reducing their food waste. Other notable points were sticky and unclean tables, chewing gum stuck on the bench seat that I sat on and any time we have eaten in this specific location we've never had a table which didn't wobble. On this occasion resulting in a spilt drink. Overall good food but petty attitude, a couple of pence for a wrap but they could haver the bun back, JJ's excuse for this was the stock wouldn't balance, then admitting they throw buns and wraps away regularly! Nice one JJ :)

Good service, friendly & helpful staff. Good value

Went in at half 8 and they were closed for a staff party all the staff were drinking...

Place was near empty, but yet we stood waiting to be seated again. This was the 2nd time it’s happened, managers sat down looking up now and again, poor service.

Very busy on a Friday night so the service was slow, they messed up our order but did apologise & came to tell us that it would be rectified. We waited but it never happened so we left as it was getting late.

Sign said open but was told we are closed after being asked "have you found a table? "

Noisy and since when do you order food and drink on an app rather than being served. Call me old fashioned but I expect to be served by a waiter. If I want fast food I can order anywhere....

Great night at Nando’s for a member of staff leaving do that I work with didn’t expect them to come to the table and take our order And give you separate receipt our waitress chellis and they were specially kind to me when I should’ve had a green reward on my Nando’s card which meant I get a free starter didn’t come off so they gave it to me on them

Not for me, had to wait for a text message, arrived, long wait for food, finally arrived and no cutlery, took 10 mins to finally get cutlery, food was warm, bits were missing from the order, salad was dried and discoloured. Shame really, not a repeatable experience. Ordering at thr table via QR code... I go out to interact with humans, lockdown is over, let's get back to human interaction again.

My wrap was lovely but my daughters burger collapsed in a mess and was very hard to eat.
