We are a party of 7 family & friends sharing afternoon tea in the café. We weren’t allowed to pre-book, so caused a bit of a problem for staff, as we weren’t expected. The food and service was as good as anywhere we have been. 👍
However if we could have pre-booked it would have been fairer to all concerned. Once sorted, we thoroughly enjoyed everything.
Wow - struggling with shopping and long Covid the wonderful staff were amazing. They offered to carry my tray to my table and were so friendly ! Thankyou !
The disgusting true face of unacceptable capitalism shown by Sainsbury’s @ the Gloucester Quays superstore branch. Despite being a loyal customer having spent many thousands of pounds here over the last two years just read what happened to me THIS morning. Just read it & be absolutely flabbergasted…
I spent money on the meal deal, and, with my hot counter product I went to a pathway alongside the petrol station, where I sat down on the path to call my father on my mobile & eat my hot food before it went cold (bear in mind there is no seating anywhere on the site except for one tiny place where Sainsbury staff all sit &/or local bike thieves/ wrong uns /drug dealers). No benches for over a mile in any direction.
There are no obstructions nor ANY signs saying you cannot sit or stand there. It is away from everyone. It is not on the actual forecourt. Their own staff sit all over the place on their breaks on walls or seats or random places around the store. It’s a superstore supermarket!!!
After finishing my food & polishing off my energy drink ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STORE MANAGER & OTHER MANAGER AMBUSHED ME IN THREATENING MANNER very threatening with go pro cameras. I am told “can you move from there please”. I replied “first of all why I am on a path not causing any issue & a duty manager previously told me there was no issue with me sitting there. Plus I am actually a customer not some random person, I can show you my receipts.”
Then noticing that both of them were filming me with go pros I then said “actually before you reply let me also video this because this is ridiculous”. At which point they both run away from me. SUPER SUPER STRANGE!
Ok to video & audio record me but they don’t want it the other way... hmmm?!
Next thing I know when I finish my drink I go into the petrol station shop to cash in my small win lottery ticket on my way home after sitting there for 40 minutes… I AM TOLD by sales assistant who I know well & is a friend “I’m so sorry I don’t know what’s going on but I was just told not to serve you.” Anyway he is a nice genuine guy so he processed my lottery ticket anyway regardless because he knows me.
So kind of LOOKS LIKE I HAVE BEEN BANNED AS A CUSTOMER! Wow!!!
The real reason given I know many staff & many are my friends outside of the store is that they don’t like a deaf customer going to their store.
Don’t believe Sainsburys with their ethics washing diversity, rainbow flags, black history month etc, they are IN REALITY demonic, repugnant & discriminate against the disabled. ITS ALL LIES! Leaving that aside they are rude, aggressive & disrespectful even if I were just an average customer with no disability.
I know because I know I know I have done absolutely nothing wrong in 2 years as a daily customer whatsoever but sit down to make a phonecall. What the hell?!?
Let me be clear Sainsbury discriminates against the disabled.
This is a breach of the Equality Act 2010 so is this the sort of company you want to give your business to? Can’t even comply with laws on discrimination.
FYI the city of Gloucester is well served by alternatives; there is Tesco Extra in Brockworth (inc petrol), Morrisons Metz Way (inc Petrol), Asda Town Centre (inc Petrol), Aldi Gloucester Quays (no petrol though) & two Lidl's where I have been dealt with courtesy, well, normally!!!
I will be pursuing legal action for discrimination (the only reasonable thing to conclude) so others don’t face this appalling sickening disgusting treatment but you know I’m so disappointed this is the state of a once great British retailer. Further all the diversity inclusion & ethics or are all just cynical lies/ ethics washing/ Huw Edwards level deception. This is not a good company to give your business to. I myself couldn’t be more disappointed myself. What a shame!
What a disgrace to the memory of the founding Sainsbury family.
I’ve submitted a complaint to their head office TODAY, they have told me on the face of what I told them that as a company they apologise. They will review the whole issue & report back to me.
Well, let’s see what happens. I’ll update if there is a resolution.
But, in the absence of resolution, to all decent ethically minded hard working people you might want to think who you want to give your hard earned money to.
Oh days no anymore to go to the treats in Gloucester. I'm a very disappointed.. The man who was cooking he's wash he's legs in customer toilet in sink,, very dirty and very untasted food.. Highly not recommended the threats.. Very terrible
Sometimes ok other times long delays and cold food. Not great customer relations.
Think it’s best if you walk in order. Pre order hit and miss. Delivery definitely hit and miss
I can only assume there is alot of snobbery regarding these places, foods great, staff are very helpful and friendly, don't know what the problem is?? Cheap too,,often visit..
My friend and I ordered food over the phone and informed them we were coming to eat at Muchachos. We got there, got our meal and requested for pepper because we did not get any, the manager told us we had to pay for pepper in a rude tone, we ignored him, paid for the pepper and ate our food.
As soon I finished eating, I asked for hand napkins to wipe the sauce off my hands, the manager offered me blue tissue paper for wiping surfaces, I told him it will not help and asked for saviet paper but he refused to give it to me and told me to go get mine from Tesco's after we had paid for our meal which was very insulting and rude.
I was disappointed by his response and told him it was bad customer service next thing he did shocked me as he told us both to get out of his shop and was swearing at us for no reason just because we told him we were not happy with his reactions.
This is very bad customer service and I will never recommend anyone to Muchachos restaurant in London road, Gloucester because it can happen to anyone and shows how undisciplined and disrespectful and they only care about your money and not having good morale or standards.
The Manager was not mindful of his attitude and how it affected me or what I was going through.
I will never recommend that place, they have no manners.
Went to Tgi fridays gloucester Saturday 5th October for drinks we sat at the bar enjoying watching the bar tender tia make various cocktails half way through the evening we were told by a member of staff that she had complained to them about us staring at her and told us to stop this made me upset as this wasn't what was happening and so I apologised to tia and said I was just enjoying watching her make the cocktails .She then said F U and walked off.I will never go there again I was so upset and my evening was totally ruined .She also charged me £16 for a single cocktai l awful experience.
Booked a room for 3 people, when checking in we were asked if any of us had a driving licence to confirm who we were when we said we didn’t we were informed that unless we could provide proof we would be unable to stay, luckily I found I had my senior citizen bus pass with my photo and name on which they said they could accept. When getting to our room we immediately noticed the paint and plaster coming off the wall, the old windows were ill fitting so could hear rain and wind was as if we were outside, it was very cold. It wasn’t until we got back to room in night and went to bed that we found the base of the one bed was broken in the middle the mattress had to be put on the floor for my friend to try to sleep. Shower pressure was bad also toilet wouldn’t flush. We reported the issues on returning the key in the morning was just told it would be reported
