Wanted a quick lunch after shopping and thought we would give the cafe a try. The menu is very limited. Our cheese and ham toasties were taken out of a bag and heated up. Nothing appears to be freshly prepared. Found the service to be very slow and not particularly friendly. Very basic and would only eat there again if I was desperate.

Bombay potato, vegetable masala, sag aloo etc really great authentic taste. Just love them. What's happened to the chicken masala wraps? Really delicious but haven't seen them in a while. Big fan of TU clothing too.

Quick snack needed before shopping around Gloucester, my partner and I were in Sainsbury’s, so decided to use the cafe. A veggie sweet potato katsu curry was available, served with sticky rice and edamame beans. A small portion was about five mouthfuls. However, flavour wise it was decent. I wouldn’t have wanted to pay more than six quid for it. My partner had a pulled beef and cheese toastie. A nice view looking over the river from the cafe. Must be lovely on a warm day.

As Sainsburys go this one is canal facing and sympathetically designed for the canalside location. It is only a short walk from the Outlet Centre and Docks. Great for a stock up for the boater before you head up river or down the canal. The cafe food is standard supermarket fare but good value and the terrace overlooking the canal is lovely on a sunny day.

Breakfast not bad for the price, Bacon, egg, sausage, hash brown, baked beans, tomato, and toast, I added a large cup of tea, to wash it all down, all for under £6 I recommend you give it a try.

Located opposite Gloucester Quays this is great superstore. The car park is a good size which has plenty of parent and child and disabled spaces. The store itself is a very good size and there is great range of products. Also has a petrol station which is usually cheap (when compared to other petrol stations). Also has a delightful cafe upstairs with a small balcony overlooking the quays. Have been here in the past for breakfast which I would recommend and is reasonably priced for a full English breakfast.

Needed to collect some travel money I ordered online, very helpful and friendly at the money desk, then did a weekly shop, no scan and shop system which I thought a large shop like that would have. As well as our weekly shop I also bought 2 summer tops. The cashier was friendly and the shop went smoothly.

I am shocked to find dirty cutlery in clean station areas with sauces, cutlery tray etc... I have ordered full breakfast with toast but you have to pay extra for jam very odd! Bacon isn’t what bacon should be it look more like square ham !! Would I come back answer sorry no

We were unfortunate to visit here on a Saturday afternoon, so perhaps disregard this report. Most of the tables were piled with dirty dishes, food dropped on the floor. Lots of the advertised meals were no longer available. No straws or teaspoons for drinks. On the plus side, the meals and drinks we had were fine. The restaurant has views of the canal, so it was pleasant to sit and watch the birds and the boats go by. And forgive them for being short staffed on a busy day !

I find the staff at the Deli counters 'not very friendly. From my experience, it is a matter of simply asking for what you want. It is given to you with not even a thank you or a friendly smile. If the staff are seen saying a few words more than is necessary - and is not related to your purchase, then they are transferred to another section within the store. A few members of staff have told me this - they say that management will not like them, what they call socialising with customers, as opposed to getting on with their work. A few have been transferred to another section or duty such as shelf filling, for the very reason of chatting those few extra wordsto customers. Sainsbury sell a good range of products, branded and their own. Quite often customers whom I know, ask me why I don't do my regular / main shopping at Sainsbury Store - they say their products are cheaper.. They give their examples such as tinned beans, tomatoes etcetera which are pennies cheaper than other supermarkets such as Tesco, ASDA,and Lidl/Aldi I tell them that they are being misled, and should check the content weight on the tins against the same product in another store; they will find that what appears to be the 'same sze' can, the content weight is that there are less grammes weight within, compared with the same product in other supermarkets. So in effect , whilst that tin of beans - or whatever are a penny or two cheaper, they are getting less content wieght within. They should not be deceived, because as I have stated, the cans when placed alongside another from a different store look the same size - They are the same size, and Sainsbury may be a penny or two cheaper, but they are getting less content weight.

Having complained about rude cashier & poor service. We were non existent to her at the till! No reply from Gloucester store manager Neil Barber. Two days later we noticed the cashier had also left the security tag on. We spend a lot of money every week in this store and go there due to good service but this time it was appalling and no apology at the store!
