A 60th Birthday party was held at this venue on the 10th of August 2024...well I was absolutely disgusted with the way they disrespected the lady who's party it was,also the guest that attended the party was left in absoulute shock lights came on at 11.45 last orders did not even get mentioned, I asked for a glass of tonic water i was refused, the young lady said point blank no people's throat was dry an no drinks were being served, at 11.45 really we need to be very careful where we are holding gatherings wakes birthdays etc customer service was 0...What ever reason they had was not valid...People were on their best behaviour very poor show...I will never recommend anywhere else apart from the jamaican club we just keep getting short changed in a lot of ways it's only going to get worse and we only have ourselves to blame wake up people.

Great portions and really good value

Great atmosphere, fantastic food and friendly customers. I always bump into somebody I know which is great. My son really enjoys going to the oakes and catching up with his mates and he often takes his daughter, she loves going there going on the play equipment!!

Dreadful, kitchen closed yet again. Horse droppings at back entrance. Children running in and out through it. Smell was awful. Disabled toilet shut. Other toilets, only 1 had toilet tissue, the other 2 no lid and flush all come away. Appearance of pub looks good, but basic hygiene is below par. Website advertised as food available. On 4 visits not the case. Heading for downfall.

Company doesn't always send the requested food items which brings the food down, but the landlady does her best and is fab!

Rubbish pub. Owners are useless. They treat it like a bar in the garden. No organisation, no professionalism, no respect to the pub users. Every time I use this pub they havnt got something on the menu. This time they didnt even have staws for my boys drink!! This pub is run by idiots!! I feel sorry for the staff! Rubbish management

Stopped here after walking the dog, the staff were very welcoming and the drink was refreshing

I was pleasantly surprised after visiting this venue for a funeral wake on Monday 22nd. I have lived in Gloucester all my life and know this pub well . I'm glad they have now catered for every walk of life, not like it used to be back in its DARK days, when it had a bad name for itself. I did not eat here so cant comment on the food. Would defo recommend.

Lovely big pub! Service for food was excellent (but to be fair it was not busy when we arrived). Be warned that some of the seating for food was rather high so not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility issues. I don't know if you can pre-book tables & they didn't answer our telephone calls to check availability of seating (& wasn't due to being busy as there was hardly any customers there when we arrived 5 minutes after phoning them!!) Food was well above average for a pub of this type & reasonably priced. Their chips were especially good!! Would highly recommend this pub in future. Plenty of large screen TV's dotted around the pub for the sports fanatics! If they'd have answered the phone would've given them an extra star!

Very popular place Always busy Functions held along side public opening hours which can be quite hectic but the bar staff cope quite well Great place to stop after a walk around the hill It's child and dog friendly too.

Great spot for sports , drinks and decent music most weekends

Pub very quiet. Young woman behind the bar. 3 of us asked if we were ok to order lunch. Woman said not yet. Turned out there is a “problem” in the kitchen. She did not know when it would be fixed. Told her we were looking for somewhere for 14 ladies to eat the following week. She could not confirm if it would be ok or not. We left promptly. Will not be returning, which is a shame as the venue is ideally situated for our monthly evenings out.

This is a great friendly place, great service and well priced.

First time here since the new people took over. Only stayed for drinks so not able to comment on food. Have an allergy to dogs and it doesn't state anywhere that dogs are allowed inside the pub. When we went there was 3 dogs with the table behind us. Please can places advertise if dogs are allowed inside the pub so that us allergy sufferers can go elsewhere.

Whent for an evening out with friends as it had been refurbished and menu looked good. Website says food served until 8pm we whent to order at 7.30 we were told kitchen was closed. Tried to finish our drinks but couldn't hear as kids screaming next to our table. Toilet disgusting, dirty blocked toilet door lock broken. Definitely won't go again.

Went for a few drinks and to go watch football. Drinks are reasonably priced staff is amazingly friendly and it had a good atmosphere durong football. Nice and clean pub, will definitely pop in again

Good beer, great freindly people.

Staff are super friendly and welcoming plenty of free parking. Fenced of kids play area and out door seating . Pie mash and veg is lovely as is the fish and chips . Under new management which are super friendly

Great place for drinking and eating. Lovely food and good value. But it is shocking me when i see a person working for three oaks. He is dean Bennett. Who is a drug dealer. And have multiple criminal records. Good bless the place.

Didn’t get why beers and cocktails were ok to pay by card but bottle of Au had to be cash only 🤠

Probably the best local pub I have ever been in. prices are competitive the staff are very friendly and helpful. the upgrade is excellent it is well worth a visit you will enjoy it . it's probably the best it's ever been and I have been visiting for over 30 years!

Nice looking pub inside and out also very spacious. drinks are quite expensive, came on a not very busy day only one order of food came out before us whilst there.four of us ordered food took hour and 10 minutes for 3 plates of food to come out no warning of delay. Fourth meal came out twenty minutes after the rest was a burger and chips. Food was nice tbh but would of been nice not to sit and watch everyone else eat whilst I waited for mine. Only one person in kitchen would have two, one to cook and one to prepare.

Amazing pub, lovely food. And good prices for drinks. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Pubs always clean to. Had my kids birthday lunch here and they was very good at helping if we needed it. Thankyou too the landlord and landlady

Good atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff and good food

Haven’t been here for years but recently visited and they have done an outstanding job renovating it! Looks so clean and modern now, would recommend people to stop by and have a drink and/or a meal

Lovely pub, friendly staff. Great atmosphere for everyone. We held a baby shower and had a space reserved for us which was perfect.

Went for the Sunday dinner for a family birthday get together. The roast dinner was completely inedible. No one fresh component on the plate, everything was straight from the freezer, would of been better off getting a microwave meal from the local shop. To top it off potatoes and stuffing were rock hard like they've been deep fat fried for to long. And don't bother complaining about it because no-one cares. My partner had a meal of the normal menu and said it was fine so that was something at least. Sunday roast need ditching or a complete overhaul!

What a fantastic service we received on Friday night. Twelve of us arrived to what we thought was a booking for food which the staff had no record of. We had all travelled 3-4 hours so you can imagine how much we wanted to eat. Michelle, the amazing Chef, opened the kitchen and cooked fantastic meals for us all, even though she was on her way home! She even stayed in case we wanted desserts. Food was excellent, speed was superb and staff were amazing. Thank you so much. If we are ever in the area again we will return to sample Michelle’s excellent food. Well done!

Lovely building with a great renovation. Tables spread out and the bar selection was great. Food however, all I can say is meh. I ordered firecracker chicken and it was dry as a bone with the firecrackerness coming in the form of a pot next to it. Fries were also flavourless. I’ve given it a 3 as my friend really enjoyed her burger. The staff were lovely but I feel the menu and food quality was lacking.

Wow Have not been there for a long time. Certainly not since the previous landlord and refurbishment. So impressed with how it looks now and the layout difference from 3 to 4 years ago. Family friendly and a great environment. Will definitely be back

Pub very nicely done out ,food was nice ,we were out with friends had lovely time, but would NOT GO AGAIN AS WHEN WE WERE EATING THERE WERE THREE CHILDREN OF DIFFERANT AGES KICKING A FOOT BALL WHICH HIT A TABLE WHERE SOME OLDER PEOPLE WERE HAVING DRI KS WHICH REALY SCARED THEM AND US . LUCKY NO ONE WAS HURT, BUT SPOILED THE ATMOSPHERE.

Usual eatery shut so decided to try Three Oaks. Lovely Inches cider and lager. Clean glasses and bar area. Plenty of tables to sit at. We ordered 2 x cod and chips. The chips were nice but the fish was very greasy. We were supposed to have tartar sauce but it was forgotten so we had to ask for it and we just had one pot between us both. Apart from that it was very reasonably priced and I did eat the fish but left the batter. We will give it another go though as hopefully it was a one off.

Wicked food, brilliant atmosphere

Amazing atmosphere and friendly staff couldn't do enough to help and make our visit amazing heard a lot about the chef's new and old but 100% didn't get disappointed the steak was delicious and seasoned well and we'll presented never was we disappointed Good access for people with disabilities keep up the good work thank you for making our visit a one me and my partner will remember for a very long time

Pub is nice, clean and has nice modern decor. However... food serving times are a bit strange, money is made on food not booze, they're missing the prime time for making money. Karaoke on a Friday from 7pm..... really. When we did eat the food was good but the drink selection wasn't great. Nice to see a local open again but for how long.

Absolutely beautiful refurbished local pub. Landlord Adrian was so hospitable and welcoming. Bar staff very friendly. Only called in for a pint but will definitely be back for the food. Looking at customers dishes we can't wait

Not a very good service, will not being using again

Bar staff are exceptional dealing with a busy clientele! Food was a wait around 20 mins, this is really great because the team were rushed off their feet with orders! It is lovely to see the business thriving again! The food was really good and a high quality which was delivered. I recommend this place so much, great staff, great food, lovely people! Will be coming again!

Our local was thriving, and now the atmosphere has been killed off. What's worse than no cook for a plate of chips? No bar snacks! Apparently the crisps and pork scratchings go out of date before they can be sold so they no longer stock! Just as it had picked up and was a lush little local after a dog walk over the hill, now a bit of a disappointment.. very sad

Just got back from a afternoon pub lunch with my family and must say The bartender Gemma Knapman was absolutely amazing even though she was on her own she is polite throughout she was helpful on everything we wanted Always make conversation with the customers and made sure they were happy and they didn’t need anything Gemma is a credit to your staff

Awful staff and managers Kids running around the pub helping them self to drinks and food from behind the bar! Manager had an awful attitude. No service waited around 20 mins not even busy for our drinks. Food came out cold and rushed. 3 drinks asked for weren’t available and not even an apology.

Current shut due to covid but spoke to land lady and land lord. Who explain they carrenty close. And the lights are on for as they are working in the bar area to get things ready for when they can open. Really friendly.

A very well presented pub. Plenty of seating inside and out. Recent refurbishment and redesign has improved this venue immensely. Large car park and pleasant views of a local park. A small children's play area with nearby. Open kitchen and spacious bar area. Seating is comfortable and table heights to suit all needs.

On arrival no one to greet us even though we booked a table. No menu on our table and No instruction how to order. We had to approach the bar area for drinks and to order food which we did not feel very Covid safe. A 90 minute wait for food. However the staff who brought the food to our table were friendly and helpful. The food was average as in every other pub that serves food. The refurb was a pleasant surprise. All in all the 3 oaks needs more staff, waitress service to be Covid safe and a brush up on customer service, it would then be a nice family place to eat. It has a nice outside play area for children.

Went there last night for a couple of pints and some food with friends. When ordering food was told that most of the menu was sold out. No problem so ordered something else. Asked for Tikka with chips not rice for my friend. It arrived minus the poppadoms and naan. When I asked for these I was told they had none left but could have more chips. I said no thanks but was miffed when someone who ordered afterwards was given both. I dont like being lied to after I had paid.

Popped in for a couple of Pints and a Meal on Monday afternoon. Fairly busy on Food considering it was the beginning of the week. Good selection of Beers, Ciders and Lagers (no Stella) and one Real Ale. Little wait on Food, but understandable.due to the number of orders going in the kitchen. Pleasant staff and Food was Value For Money.

Took the family tonight for our first meal out after lock down and we are very happy - atmosphere is lovely when you walk in greeted with a smile and lots of posters to keep us all safe - there were lots of different generations...
