There food is so delicious. Environment very comfortable and staff behaviour is also polite & well-mannerd.

No different than any other Costa really

A spacious, comfortable coffee shop with a good choice of food and hot & cold drinks. It's situated in a quiet corner of the city away from the hustle and bustle which is nice.

One of the quieter Costa’s so no queue and lots of comfy places to sit.

This review is about the Costa Coffee on Eastern Avenue but could refer to all of the outlets. I regularly take the wife to her gym class of a morning and then hang around for an hour before taking her home. On a few occasions I have called into the above for a coffee and something but have been disappointed by the tables full of dirty plates and cups etc. The staff sometimes treat me as if I am invisible, but not this time. YES, I was greeted with a "Hello", my order was taken immediately, the tables were cleared and clean, what a difference! Thank you, all of the staff, it was a really pleasant experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Didn’t come but said delivered

Had a wonderful Belgian chocolate cake and cappuccino for mid morning snack. Served with a smile by the staff.

Met a friend for a coffee and some food, we were in the shop for just over an hour, no complaints. But I then received a fine in the post, demanding an absurd amount of money! (The signage was convinienty small and unclear) Do not drive here! Better yet, find somewhere else.

Served by Dan who was really friendly and made an excellent coffee. Having previously been a trainer within Brewers Fayre for the Costa brand it was refreshing to see Dan making a perfect Cappuccino and offering such wonderful service. Well done Dan and I hope you go far.

I had a delightful experience at Costa Coffee, where I savored their refreshing iced coffee and indulged in a delicious mango frappe. Despite a slight delay in being served due to only two staff members present, the drinks were worth the wait. The iced coffee was invigorating, providing a perfect balance of flavors, while the mango frappe was a sweet and creamy delight. Overall, the drinks were fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Costa Coffee.

The coffee and food is really great, with a lot of space to sit and enjoy your drink both inside and outside. The team are friendly and welcoming.

Hope that the manager knows the staffing levels. I'm sure she/he knows when is the most busiest. And hope she/he knows who amongst the staff that are reliable and those who are not. Sometimes u can't just blame everything to the staff. If it's short staff then things won't b done accordingly...and u won't have a happy customer. A well manage store ends up with good reviews from customer, and happy hardworking staff.

Had a business meeting for an hour and a half. Nothing in large writing reference how long you can park or warning in Costa. Now have a parking fine for £80 . I will never go here ever again . Very very poor .

Not too busy, nice coffee, nice staff, clean and tidy.

We h@ve been visiting here for a number of years and, although the coffee and food are good the service os almost at a snails pace. The service seems to be going downhill, and we have given up queuing on the odd occasion and found somewhere else. Having said that, we will persevere in the hope that the service improves.

my iced coffee was tepid. the whole point is it’s meant to be cold and ICED. not to mention it looks watered down. i had to ask for a cup of ice to make it not a cup of tepid milk. also got given no napkins with food order. unclean tables and 3 staff stood around leaning on counter chatting. no customer service, felt like we were being glared at. 3 staff literally ignore the customer and talking to their friend over the counter. photo is of my iced coffee after i had to add a cup of ice to it. supposed to be with an extra coffee shot and vanilla syrup but debatable

It was just a pleasure to sit and enjoy my coffee and sausage roll, in a very clean and welcoming environment the staff was spot on toilets or clean.. Top job 👍

Most absolutely disgusting behaviour by the staff. Racism at its peak in that place. Costa needs to teach the staff basic values first!!! These staff at the branch has destroyed the image of costa. Bunch of jokers hired.

They are always exceptional, kind, caring and have very good manners.

This branch is always busy so at times the tables can need a clear or a wipe down and staff can be too busy. Always a queue

Beautiful place to work at the weekend whilst my motorbike is prepped (Thunder Road Glos). Awesome coffee and crystal glass rays through the facade at least until midday. Life is good🤗

Good coffee and good service. The service was quick. Staff were very attentive in keeping the cafè clean. Whilst they do not have high chair to accommodate young children, the layout of the store enables customers to bring in their prams. During our visit, there were 3 tables with prams and there were still plenty of space to move around. The toilet was well maintained too.

Very busy venue, a long wait for drinks, but quite hot when we eventually got served. Venue was obviously understaffed, with dirty cluttered tables.

Bought 3 lattes this morning from Costa in Gloucester at The Triangle retail park. It was awful .. think you need to check everything was in date. It was bitter and dint think the shots were even added. Called customer services but no one available to take the complaint!!!

Visited on a Sunday surprisingly very quiet I thought. Normal Costa service.

Lovely place in a really nice setting, friendly staff. Picked up some Too Good To Go bags at the end of the day. Stuffed full of sandwiches, cake and toasties 😋😋😁

Too slow. Staff shortages. Often close early or unable to open. Friendly enough staff though- not their fault.

Came here for breakfast today was really nice plus food has 50% off this week so totally worth it. Staff friendly and very helpful when I needed to check for allergies etc. highly recommend the cheddar cheese toastie I will be going back Tuesday for another one lol Follow me for more reviews

Can't beat a costa coffee in a morning

When we have busy days or a busy morning with MOT or Tyre bookings, we’ll often treat the boys to a Costa Coffee and a cake to fire them up for the morning for a busy day ahead! Costa is always their first choice for beverages and snacks, we always receive a good and fast service from start to finish and the staff are friendly and amazing! We highly recommend them!

Used this Costa for takeaway and also sitting outside as we were staying in the nearby Premier Inn. Very clean and the staff were also very friendly and smiley people !

Visited on our holiday and service was pour! Ask about the mango frappe and when I wanted to order it, they hadn’t any?!? Then I ordered some cake and they got the wrong one. Without a word they smashed the other one in a bag, while we wanted to eat it over there. Absolutely not friendly and the piece of cake was small an the strawberry frappe blend

Worst costa in Gloucester never open when it should be takes money from click and collect when the store isn’t open, never any staff in the store which is crazy considering how many staff are in the other costas across Gloucester avoid the disappointment and use next costa over the road

Opens late, closes early and half of the time it is missing syrups, drinks etc... Given the amount of costa stores in Gloucester cannot imagine going here again.

Closed way before closing time - claimed 7.30pm and closed at 7.15pm, NOT HAPPY

Rubbish, ordered frappe at 13.54 got them 10 minutes later, the girl coughed in her hand then carried on with our washing, was making a couple's stood by the side of me at the same time, the spray cream was at the end do never swirled just splodged on top. By the time I finally got it it had melted and was almost warm.. Will never use them again. Wouldn't of been so bad if it was busy

The worst Costa I’ve experienced the staff and service shocking. General hygiene and staff attitude needs looking at, it’s like a playground!

Parking is an absolute nightmare at this location. As I was leaving (10am) the shop was closing to serve drive thru only. Not good.

Clean, plenty of seating. Sat inside. As a walk-in customer you do sometimes feel second place to the drive-thru customers, even though you're standing right in front of the staff.

Pleasant staff. Not too busy. The usual Costa fare too be had....👍

Service is very slow. Waited more than 10 mins for a Latta & Americano. Coffee is worst and tastyless like drinking a hot water...👎👎

So so so slow it was embarrassing! Ordered two cold drinks two hot drinks my coffee was cold by the time the cold drinks were ready, surely you do cold drinks first! The lady in the till was nice although couldn’t hear what we were saying had to keep repeating! The other two well snails are faster and the queue was well out of the door , never again!

You need more staff on Bank Holidays. Disgraceful.

The staff were efficient and great service at a very busy time, shame there was a rude customer, stressful when it is noisy from customers, machines and the screens in front of the tills which makes it hard, plus the fact your voice is muffled from the mask. But well done for the worker for being professional.

Lib is an amazing manager, always so happy and goes that extra bit. We travel up from wSm and its always a pleasure to have a Costa in this store. Always has time to speak. 100/ recommend. Clean, tidy unlike some in wSm. Merry Xmas all

Very clean but staff didn't know much about products that didn't contain Dairy & Gluten. So black coffee for me.

was served by a lovely woman with an american accent & dark hair - GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE! she was so lovely and welcoming and we gave her a tip :) best experience i’ve had at any drive thru anywhere. what a lovely team!

GO TO THE OTHER ONE WITH A DRIVE THROUGH!!! It appears every time I go into this Costa, I have to have a bad experience. We went into Costa in the shopping centre today and ordered a Terry’s chocolate orange hot chocolate and an after eight hot chocolate, waited for about 20 minutes seeing the people behind us continuously getting their order before us, so started questioning where my order was. Noticed that it had been 25 minutes so asked them if they knew how long it would take and a worker replied she was doing it in the right order but clearly wasn’t! So then asked to see our order receipt... turned out they hadn’t even printed our order so then had to repeat the order but when we finally got the order after waiting 30 minutes it was the wrong order they just gave us two Terry’s chocolate orange hot chocolates so great waited all that time for the wrong order.... Enough lessons, we will never go back to this Costa ever again!!!

Waited for over 30 minutes for a hot chocolate! Absolute chaos. Staff shouting at full volume for other staff, no drinks carriers, split carrier bags. Strangley kept blaming the fact they had no dishwasher. What I presume was the manager had plenty of time to stop and chat with what I presume was her daughter. Everyone waiting were just astonished at how bad the service was in the long time we were there. Still, made some friends in the que as we were there so long! This is the one inside the quays, not the drive through which I use regularly and is night and day in quality.

I went in there and got a Belgian chocolate frostino, and I was waiting for what felt like 10 hours only to get a frostino that tasted like grass, this review is me being nice but what I do have to say might offend the company. DO BETTER

More staff needed as always a queue & staff running around like headless chickens! Feel sorry for them. Nothing in stock, staff need more training and support! Pull your finger out Management!

Extremely slow service, took 15 minutes to get 2 drinks after ordering. Over heard the dish washer is broken. Under staffed. Only 1 high chair in entire store

Just an average Costa as far as I can tell but spent half an hour in there waiting for wife. It was a wonder I didnt get flu. The place is SO cold. This is a common fault in Costa's. The so called air conditioning seems to be either a heater or a freezer. The day was fairly cold anyway with a stiff breeze blowing which made the main concourse about average to cool. Inside the shop you would think there was a heatwave going on. Just cold air blowing and the main door on permanent "open" . PLEASE Costa .......get a grip of your AC units . !!!!

Saturday 25/09/2021 approximately 9:15am I joined the queue for a drive thru. Once committed to the queue there’s no way to get out of it other than to drive onwards and go through the process. It took 35 minutes to get 2 coffees and 2 pastries. The person serving was taking an order, and making it one customer at a time rather than taking a few orders and making them all at once which might’ve been a bit quicker. When I collected at the window I could see there appeared to be only a couple of staff so I’m guessing that was the problem. What a shame one of them didn’t think to put a cone across the drive thru lane so they only needed to serve people coming into the store. At least then people had the choice to queue or decide to go elsewhere. I won’t be in a rush to revisit anytime soon based on this experience.

Very efficient polite service, I was asked if I had the Costa app to scan it (which I had forgotten about) and asked if I wanted to spend the points or not, can't fault the service
