Very nice but feel some of the cakes are expensive.

Good food, good drinks, good service. We have the app, so had a free drink today too.

I don’t normally like to complain but I felt so bad for the trainee today who was trying her best and looked extremely stressed whilst being had a go at by what looked like her manager (brown hair possibly called Emma?) who loudly announced ‘you’ve been here a couple weeks and you’re still making stupid mistakes you shouldn’t be making’ and constantly made digs and huffing and puffing and throwing her hands in the air. Was a very tense atmosphere to order in and put me off going back

Huge queue always,, not enough staff and quite unfriendly to be honest except for one filipina staff that she is formidable

Used to be a good costa, now no better than average. Maybe more staff, and stop people sitting at a table for two hours with no drink.

The Staff team are great in Costa St. Oswalds, Gloucester. It's an exceptionally busy store but they all remain calm and know my order off by heart. Fab team. Superb job, guys.

Used to be a great little Costa on the retail park. Have been there many times over the years. Last Saturday (April, 2024) however the staff were lack-lustre. No warm greeting and your drink was just left at the end of the counter without calling it out. There was a medium queue, but the three staff weren't working cooperatively or efficiently. Coffee is fine, atmosphere was lacking.

Rude staff only care about being in there phones I saw people vaping in the back waiting for the toilet Toilets smell and are dirty, not kept up with And I’ve heard rumors they expect staff to come in even if they are very sick and unable to work

Popped here on Saturday lunch time to meet some friends. The place is filthy, had to clear our table from previous customers while member of staff watched us. Coffee was average while paying over the odds. The toilet hadn't been cleaned for days with the tap staying on, unable to turn off. We gave our 1 year old his lunch and thought we'd tidy up the dropped things on the floor... we may as well not bothered.

Brilliant staff & great atmosphere

Came here on a Saturday afternoon, chaos. Staff doing their best. People waiting clogging cramped counter. Spent longer stood waiting than sat drinking. Tea served in a giant disposable cup as they’d “run out of teapots”. Hard floors make it really loud, everyone raising their voices to be heard over each other, made worse with tables and chairs crammed in. A soulless dispiriting experience.

Coffee, sausage bap and cake was delicious. I was astounded by how dirty the place was. I pointed out to the lady serving how dusty the cake dome was. She agreed but didn’t attempt to wipe it! We sat next to a window sill which was minging. That wasn’t today’s crumbs and dust. It had obviously been there a while. Do the staff not have a cleaning rota? Perhaps their rota duties should be checked by the manager. Dirty as I said and enough to put me off going to that branch again but coffee excellent.

Service was exceptionally slow. The place was dirty and the staff unfriendly. Overall one of the worst coata's I have been too.

Great coffee and food. Friendly staff even though they were very busy and obviously under pressure. Only marked down a star due to tables not being cleared away because of not enough staff.

I come every Tuesday and Friday and always perfect atmosphere and staff always very helpful 👌

Broken toilet. Broken air con. The two flat whites we had made were way to wet so I asked for them to be remade and the guy making them, without speaking, threw them away and walked in the back and his manager made them (who was lovely). Terrible costa overall. Avoid.

I meant to write a review a short while ago, but have been distracted. Visited Costa to meet a friend on a Saturday morning, service from the two female members of staff was very good, both were polite and attentive, food and coffee prompt and hot, no issues here, however. There was a blonde gentleman swanning around, supervisor? Manager? Who took it upon himself to look down his nose and make a dismissive gesture with his face on every single pass of our table, it was not a single instance, but five times. I really did not want to have a confrontation with this individual because I did not wish to upset the company I was with as she was totally unaware of what was happening. Maybe this individual should take more time doing his job rather than being a judgemental bigot. I will not be returning.

Slow, slow, slow... Saturday afternoon, one person serving, one person wandering around, queue getting bigger, coffee machine broken again.....

Staff chatting and on phones rather than working, gone down hill a bit since I was last here

I went on a hot summers day. Unfortunately they had ran out of a lot of their cakes and ingredients for frappes which was a shame. Their lotus biscoff cheesecake was amazing though.

Nipped in for a really quick coffee, place dirty, shocked at how quiet it was coffee nice, but won't be returning

Normally wouldn't frequent these type of places but went with a friend for a coffee. Cup was the size of a bucket!

I have visited at lunch time the last few weeks on a Tuesday with a friend. I just wanted to say how friendly and chatty all of the staff are there. Nothing is too much trouble and it is nice to chat to them. The service has been very efficient too. Today was very hot so my only advice would be to get some air conditioning. Also, the seating areas outside have zero shade which is not great for pale people. A couple of big sun umbrellas would be great so people can sit outside.

Spectacular day one of the 2 lads serving and making the drinks had a episode shouted out and three the drink/s all over the floor and side causing the other barrister to have to take him out back then come back clean before starting serving. Well done I don't know what caused the behaviour but 5 stars to the chap for sorting it out and resuming business as normal.

This place gets super busy. Staff are always friendly here. Can be a bit slow on service sometimes but the nature of fresh made coffee and food cooked for you. Nice place to meet your friends. Has free WiFi for those wanting a drink and to work.y only fault ever is the toilets could do with a better clean.

Terrible! No china-all drinks and food served in paper cups and plates. No chocolate sprinkles for cappuccino. Staff didn’t care

Staff are friendly, coffee is fine , but that place needs a deep clean. The amount of dust everywhere is shocking. Toilets disgusting.

I've only given it four stars for food this time as the options were limited - especially vegan brekkie options. Still good coffee and great service though.

Since Costa started doing the click and collect service, it is taking longer and longer to get served. Today, at St Oswalds, Gloucester, the clearly grumpy guy doing the cold frappes etc made 8 or so drinks while my tea, which had been made relatively quickly, was going cold. It was nearly 15 minutes before my daughter got her frappe. Very frustrating.

The product is not particularly bad and the place was relatively clean. But watching the staff, it felt like time was standing still. There was no motivation to give any recognisable form of customer service, or to respond to an ever growing crowd of waiting customers by picking up the pace a little. This outlet has an air of subdued disappointment and mild depression. Probably best avoided if you want your day go with a bit of a bounce.

Can be long queues but quick service when there isn't. Standard Costa fayre.

Are con not working so big thumbs up to the staff who were keeping going in this very hot weather. Very friendly service. Daughter enjoyed her salted caramel frappe, but the tea pots could do with replacing as very tea stained lids (my pet hate)

Great location and fast service

Went to your branch this morning and asked for a frappe , rude lad said not doing them no apologies , never offered explanation , miserable also the other girl was as bad , not good customer service , if they don't want to be there then leave , won't be returning and spending money and I will advise friends relatives not to go , do your branch a favour and sack them both

A little disappointed with my vist today. There was a massive queue, I waited in line but when I got to the counter the guy serving missed me completely & tried to serve the guy behind me. I did comment that I was waiting longer, the poor guy behind me apologised to me but he only gave his order because the guy serving asked him what he wanted. When I was waiting for my drinks I asked for some extra hot water for my tea because I like weak tea. The girl making the drinks offered me an expresso cup full!!!! I did say to her that if the tea was strong that I would need more. When I sat down with the drinks, I found my cup was filthy, I then had to find someone who could get me a clean cup. Not a good visit today Costa. Disappointed.

It's gone downhill. On inspection the floors are really dirty even from first thing - both in the shop area and definitely behind the counter. 2 days running bins outside overflowing making for a really poor visitor experience. Feels like nobody really cares.

Visited today with a friend, it was disgusting. Behind the counter the floor was awash with litter and the coffee machine looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks! Neve again the owners should be ashamed!!!!

Very poor ...no whole milk left at 1pm......pity Tesco's is so far away....had staff mixed intelligence with a 2 minute stroll to the aforementioned supermarket they may have been able to replenish their supplies....all in all pretty pathetic service

Go here often before and after work, or when wife is shopping. Staff are always friendly. Order and collect function is useful with the app. Lik all Costas food is a little expensive, but service here is great.

Great service, best coffee with soya milk, felt very welcome.

I found the service very poor, the gentle man who served me asked me many times my order and then made my order with cows milk when I had specifically asked for soya milk 2 or 3 times. He then had to be told to wash out the equipment which he barely bothered to do. And then the drink was barely how it should have been with the sprinkle topping missing. All of this was done whilst he wore his mask around his chin. I cannot believe how disgusting that is as these times. I felt too awkward to ask for my drink to be made a 3rd time so took my coffe and left. I feel for a drink which is expensive it is crazy to behave in this way.

Been here several times and as Costa's go, it is one of the better coffee shops I have been to. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating and comfy seats.

Disappointing that staff can't abide by the rules and wear their masks properly to protect their customers and fellow colleagues. Disgusting attitude when pulled up on it. Maybe a reminder of why they are required is needed!

very good covid protection in place and the staff could not be more helpful.

Normal costa coffee place and one of the male staff team was very friendly and professional. Only concern was it took about 20 minutes to get a coffee with a few female servers and staff team behind the counters chatting. Coffee was ok in the end.

Its ok of you like the coffee. Clean with friendly staff. I found it expensive and not particularly nice coffee. Definitely comes down to personal preference.
