Quite long waiting times when there wasnt many customers, ordered a frappucino with no coffee but it did have coffee. But the drink took so long so didnt want to wait for another. The other drink, pink lemonade and the panini was nice. Tray we had wasnt clean.

Served meat as a vegetarian of 17 years after ordering their new vegan range via the Uber eats app. Very inattentive and careless of the staff, and not only that but the order lacked hygiene stickers and relevant packaging

Walked in one day not knowing it’s closed and got aggressively shouted at… there’s a way to politely say ‘sorry we’re actually closed’ but I got barked at. It’s this one particular staff member’s poor mannerisms that completely put me off from going here again.

Staff are friendly, the coffee and toasties are great,and I do like going there.

The team were absolutely incredible dealing with a very busy shift. They were smiley and friendly and dealt so well with a horrible situation where a customer became very verbally abusive and scary over a minor issue. Couldn't recommend them more. Staff are always humans beings and never deserve to be spoken to in such a rude way.

The service was horrendous lost till receipt got order completely messed up 4 members of staff to sort 1 order out. I have been a costa fan for years but this place is the worst and I mean hell would be better than this place will never be back to this place I may have to go to Starbucks when I am in town. It took 25mins to do 3 hot drinks, 3 sandwiches and 3 cakes! Still getting the order wrong!

Was kept waiting to pay for a snack at the till for a few minutes while 2 staff members chatted casually by the side of the till and one made coffee. I ended up leaving out of frustration as this wasn't the first time this happened at this particular Costa. The staff are a liability.

One staff member serving...took 10 minutes to give my order. Other staff cleaning and tidying. Refused use of toilet because it had been cleaned girls the next day! Dreadful.

I usually enjoy the coffee at Costa but this is not the best example of their restaurants. It's all looking rather tired and could do with a refurb. Took absolutely ages to be served despite being very quiet and having 4 staff on. Very strange. Lavatory door lock also broken and no water (hot or cold) to wash hands. Not good.

Both me and my friend ordered iced lattes separately, both of us got normal lates when we said,quite loudly, that we wanted iced ones. We’re quite young and didn’t want to go up and complain. Please make sure your staff can hear properly and double check an order before hiring. Not pleased today waste of both of our money.

Toilet is filthy, it's not from use throughout the day either, desperately need deep clean, the grab bars has mould growth, not good if you're Disabled and need to use them. Tried to complain on site however that's not working properly. Highly recommended to use toilet elsewhere.

This place is rwally good if you want to have a break hayden is very kind.

This is my favourite go to place when I want an hour to myself to have a coffee and relax. Friendly staff, excellent coffee and a nice clean and pleasant atmosphere.

İ dont want to pay £3.90 for a trainee made coffee, of course it didnt taste the same.

Dear Mr YF I have been in to the Kingswalk Costa and the Staff have been nothing but caring and friendly and Mr YF doesn't seem to understand the concept that it's not acceptable to bring food or drink in to another establishment, this is a form of corkage. Here is a picture of the YF guy that accused two female staff members of being racist when they were just reinforcing the Costa company policy.

Although i wasn't present for the situation that you encountered, i do visit this store on regularly for my moring coffee and find ALL the staff most helpful and warm welcoming. I cant imagine any of these staff would be racist when they accommodate for people of all gender orientations, all abilities, and all nationalities and creeds each time the next customer steps up to the till. However, MR Y T, What i can presume from your review, that you thought you could pop over to Greggs and bring it to costa to eat it with your costa coffee?! I am so sure that these 2 ladies explained to you that it is against company policy for you to bring you own food in to the establishment, as Costa coffee provide a food service. This, Sir, applies to everyone, and thus cannot be racist. They did not single YOU out from anyone, let alone for the colour of your skin. Sir, if you owned a restaurant and i brought in a Maccy D's just so i could have a beer in your establishment, don't you think you would be annoyed?

I frequently visit this store, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, regardless of the abuse they receive when politely asking other customers to not consume another company's products on the premises. Ever the professionals, they are always a pleasure when I visit. Nothing but 5*

One of the worst places I’ve ever visited and got racially abused by two ladies (check photos), They simply refused to serve me brought the security for this matter. I bought a snack from different shop and wanted to get a coffee at Costa. They said because you bought a snack from outside you can’t have your drink for having in. This is ridiculous and shameful honestly. I have posted there photos here for everyone to avoid these racist ladies.

Bought a large drink and the cup was half full. Keeps happening with a particular server. Definitely not getting my money's worth on such occasions.

The young lady and the man was very friendly and it is nice to see that and I would like to say thank you very much for being kind and helpful

It was such a disgusting and shamfull with the rude behaviour from the staff. I paid for the medium brownie frappe and was given small when i told the girl i have paid for the medium, she put the small into the medium cup infront of my eyes and gave it to me with quarter empty when i said you just put small into medium then she goes so rude with me when i asked for refund i was forced to take another one instead of taking my money. Very disappointed with this rude behavior from the staff. Not recommended with this kind of behaviour

Coffee was great, but the place is very noisy, and they should do something about the chairs. They make an awful noise against the floor.

Mediocre coffee, tongue burning hot milk. Store is filthy with 20% of tables with a used cup on them.

Nice Costa to relax in when shopping can get busy when events on on but always good service

Both myself and the wife took up the free offer of your give away promotion coffee .we took the option of a large latte and paid the extra. Nice reward while out shopping. Cheers

Maybe not staffs fault but every table had trays full of dirty cups & glasses from the last people on them🤢 always feels grubby in here but i guess its Gloucester

I was on my way from North Wales to the South of England and made a short pit-stop here on my way. There was a friendly young lady behind the counter, who was alone and worked hard, but still was cheerful and smiling. It was enough to cheer you up.

Standard costa but the place wasn't the cleanest, avoid using the toilet unless needs must.

It was very busy when I arrived but the staff were super calm and got through everyone quickly. Fast to tidy up trays etc.

Service extremely slow, got order wrong, missed off part of order and did not like me going back to get remaining missing drink. Tables were sticky and not cleaned properly. The toilets were filthy and the loo seat was coming detached. Not the best experience. It was not even peak time. Very disappointing Costa.

Probably a bit generous with the grade as this place was very poor for such a prime location. Grubby looking throughout so much so I was going to complain before I had even ordered. Why didn't I leave I had a birthday freebie otherwise I certainly would have. My advice look somewhere else because it's not cheap either

Since the end of the pandemic there doesn't seen to be so much care taken with keeping tables cleared and clean. Also since changing their soya milk suppliers I seem to have half froth and only half hot chocolate - which is very disappointing

Amazing service and brilliant staff

It's a Costa so it was pretty much as you would expect. I had a tea but they didn't check the milk before giving me skimmed milk and when I asked for semi skimmed it was as if I'd asked for something unusual. I also had a prepackaged Christmas tree shortbread, it was very unremarkable it didn't taste like shortbread that you normally get from there just like a tasteless biscuit not unpleasant but probably not worth £2.

I have never been in costa that clean table but of cups no one cleaning up

Went to get a coconut flat white on Saturday, 19th Nov afternoon. 6 member of staff were on shift. It took 25 minutes to make my drink even then they made it drink In instead of take away. Very unorganised, no leader or 1 person who would have controlled the other team members. Few of them were laughing loud at the back while 1 person (short blonde hair) was making the drinks. (Continuously touching her hair thought). Other people were waiting with me at the same time, joking that they have gone to Brasil to get the coffee beans. Absolutely shocking experience, not considering going back in a short while. I’d recommend for the management team to visit the store and provide proper customer service training for these young girls, teach them how to behave and deal with customers.

We enjoyed coffees there, the tables were cleared very quickly and the tables wiped down the staff was friendly and helpful

Coffee always good, but the ambiance of this particular Costa a little jaded and worn.

Karen our barrista was brilliant she sorted our order efficiently with a smile.

Usual good selection of coffee, cakes and sandwiches. Premises however are run down and grubby. Floor covered in bits of food.

Allways one of the best places to go into for a snack a cup of tea or coffee with a big chunk of cake.

Busy noise, we had to clear our own table of previous customer's cups and plates staff seemed harassed and under a lot of pressure rest room needed to be checked more often.

Didn't get the drink we wanted. Poor service. And the cream had gone off. The capachino only milk with a bit of coffee and no froth. The place only did take away and was absolutely filthy. They didn't have much stock. Absolutely terrible wouldn't go there again. Worst Costa I've been to!!!

On todays visit I had purchased food and iced drinks only to have the food first and no drinks coming after complaining that its the second time in consecutive visits my drinks have been delayed only to find out that they had lost my order the guy behind the counter then started saying about the previous visit and the fact the I am a blunt speaker. After a lengthy argument with the store manager it was eventually agreed that I would still get my drinks I ordered and have them refunded

Ok but overly busy on saturdays. Bit hectic and felt rushed to order quickly. Couldn't really see the labels on cakes which caused confusion at the till trying to ask for "one of those cakes with icing on". LABELS ON CAKES TOO SMALL AND WE DON'T ALL HAVE SAS VISION! No napkin this time. But generally better during the week when they are quieter

Lovely friendly staff on a Monday afternoon 27th June. Lady with blonde hair and guy with brownish hair were just rays of sunshines. Super friendly and nice. It’s people like this that make my day

Filthy shop. Slow service. I have waited 15 minutes for a coffee. Because there is one person taking the orders, & a second person making them. It’s the weekend, so why are there only two staff!? There isn’t enough seating, & no seating is upstairs to compensate. Now finally having sat down, the table has sticky stains & residue all over it. It is so dirty, I won’t touch the table. There is food & crumbs all over the seats & looking down I can see actual masses of food stuck around the edges of the seat. So I put my jacket onto the windowsill next to me because the chairs are filthy & I can see the windowsill is also pretty disgusting. Food, crumbs, stains. Why is an eating & drinking establishment so dirty & filthy?! I wish people & businesses would take pride in themselves. I’m not a clean freak but I do expect a cafe (etc.) to at least look like it’s been cleaned recently. Costa, is a dirty looking place.

A better example of this high street coffee shop chain in the UK. Poor selection for those with dietary requirements. This is a brand criticism not a reflection of the shop.

One good thing about this type of chain is at least you know what you're getting. It's gonna be pretty much exactly the same wherever you happen to be

I ordered my drink and waited and waited then noticed the people after me were getting there drinks before me so went up and asked if my drink is being made.....? They have not got a ticket so I decided to leave with a refund with the answer we will do it now .. but I said I will have the refund and left and went through a drive through on my way back home

Had breakfast there with family during a visit to Gloucester and we were impressed as how over the board the staff went. One of the drinks was slightly later (by like 2mns) and they gave us free cake to compensate! The staff was friendly and the food/drinks represented the brand well. Will definitely go back.

Amazing hot chocolate, even remade when I wanted it in a takeaway cup when I had to leave for no extra price.

My go to coffee stop!! Was lunch time so had a sandwich and a latte. Was nice, really enjoyed both!! The place was clean and tidy, not overly busy. Would recommend.

You get what you go in for. It's a chain, so usual drink and snack menu. Not too busy early morning and plenty of seats available. Needs an update and a good clean to bring it back up to standard.

Dropped into Costas in King’s Walk for our caffeine fix as we are regular Costa customers. Well what a big disappointment. We should have noticed when we entered that nearly all of the customers were still wearing their outdoor coats and hats etc but we just went straight to he counter to order. The place was cold, the Latte was cold, the manager's attitude was cold. Well below the standard of service we have come to expect from The Costa Chain, the café should be adequately heated to provide a comfortable environment in which to sit and drink the coffee. We will have to rethink our loyalty to Costa in the future.

The lady who served me (Emma) was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I have always found the service to be prompt in this branch and your order is usually brought to your table. Excellent customer service and delicious treats.

Have no respect for people with disabilities asked to use the toilet due to bladder issue showed prove of disability. Was declined and banned from using services had the nerve to accuse me of vandalizing toilets if I used them poor customer service avoid.

Popped in for a decaf as Gregg's where I was originally didnt do decaf ,and wow what a rigmarole being in Costa was ,was one person in shop Infront of me I ordered and was told to stand on 3 ,sorry I said what do u mean ,🤦🤣 stand on 3 she says ,I cudnt see a 3 eventually the other customer says its way over there ,she was laffing telling me she cudnt find number 2 so don't worry ,you can just about see the numbers and after all of that my order was ready before the other customer and I had to stand right next to the other customer and pick up my drink we had a giggle 😂thanku Costa I'm all for keeping us safe ,maybe it's me ,or my age 😂😂 I was glad to get out 🤦🤣😁

I went in there after getting my vaccine from boots and the staff were amazing. I was in there less than 5 minutes which was outstanding especially since the coffee was superb as always. The two people serving were very efficient and extremely kind. They went above and beyond to help me out when one of my gift cards was not working and even wrote and lovely message on the cup with stickers. Small details go a long way when down properly and they smashed this out of the park. Well done and thank you to the staff.
