The best restaurants in Gloucester South West

Unbelievably slow service/staff. I went in for cookie just before lunch on a Thursday or Friday and they were preparing about 9 or 10 sandwiches for people that weren’t even there in the shop waiting! I asked if I could just get the cookie and the staff member was visibly annoyed and I could tell then deliberately started moving extremely more slowly than before. Very childish and frustrating experience.

Easy to order slightly confusing where to collect order from but otherwise really good service. Hi Neville, no this was from your main bakery off Bristol road, rang number on door several times only to get answer phone, finally scared some poor chap coming out the door and he fetched my order for me. Overpriced for the food provided

I visited with a friend for a weekday lunch and we both had a mixed grill. The food was excellent, the ladies behind the bar were very friendly and helpful and we even met the chef who came out to say hello. I will definitely be going back.

The furniture is in need of replacement, as it no longer meets the expected standard of comfort or aesthetics. The quality of the food varies, being satisfactory on some occasions while falling short on others. Additionally, the tables are frequently unclean, often left with remnants from previous customers. However, the staff remains consistently courteous and approachable, providing a positive interaction for guests.

Wow. What a great bar with a lovely history. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They offer a lovely menu and it also includes vegan and vegetarian options.

Been using this takeaway for quite a few years but today was very disappointed we feel in the comments box to ask for no onions as it could kill my wife and also to make my dish milder was not sent through so ended up with food we could not eat would not eat here again

Zero stars if possible. Absolutely awful and should be closed down. Serving people through a letter box on the door. Door barricaded and nobody allowed to enter shop. Why own a restaurant when nobody is allowed inside? What are you hiding? Health hazard.

Amazing food, definitely would go again

confused…. I took my 4 year daughter for a Halloween treat tonight before going to spooktaclar & cancelling our table at BILLS (children’s meal free) in half term as I had a taster card (buy one meal get one free) to be told at the end that children’s food is NOT included in this deal but adults meals are… Where’s the logic. So I bought a £18 meal and a £8.50 meal for my daughter and I was not able to take advantage of this deal. In hindsight I should have asked for the free ADULT MEAL as a take away & waited but we had the pumpkin picking booked. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle…. Gutted as the food was nice. Next time I will order TWO ADULT MEALS.
