Portivo Lounge Gloucester in Gloucester

This is the very first time my husband and myself have every been, in the Portivo lounge restaurant. In Gloucester. It was very nice Caroline a staff member, was so nice and very helpful to us. Specially it been our very first time in there. She was so very helpful to us explaining all what was on the menu and the different dishes. All the staff where very busy as the place was packed. The food was very nice so was the latter, the atmosphere was buzzing. All the staff was very nice and helpful even thou they where all so very busy. We would definitely recommend the Portivo lounge, and although we did live down in the midlands, we will definitely come back here again. Had a Christmas meal here. The food was excellent and the staff were so nice and attentive for our different dietary needs.

Good food, great friendly service, nice atmosphere.

Friendly and polite staff who know hospitality. This goes pretty much across the other venues within the group. A clean eatery with plenty of space between tables. A good selection of food and drink at reasonable prices. You can even order via a QR code link from your phone. Myself, I prefer human interaction at the bar. If you don't like this maybe get a supermarket meal deal at a self-service till.

Another great lounge location, friendly staff and cosy environment. Food was lovely as always.

Had a fab Sunday brunch!! We are the couple with all the allergies (gluten, milk and nuts) Adam was great! Made sure the order was what we were after and double checked al the allergies for us! Fantastic service, great food, great coffee and very full tummies☺️

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff.

The restaurant is in a lovely spot by the quays. I met friends there for a drink before eating somewhere else. The place was like a dog park. One man was on his own with his dog, oblivious to the animal going round sniffing people who were trying to eat. It was hard to negotiate around the dogs there were so many. Not for me.

A very busy venue. Hardworking staff make it tick well.

Always good food and good service here. Occasionally orders are wrong but the staff are always happy to fix it. Very kid friendly and dog friendly too. Enjoy the vibe and it's a very comfortable option for me.

Never had a bad meal here, always a safe bet and the prices aren't too bad either

Food didn’t taste fresh, burgers tasted like frozen chicken burgers and had no flavour. Meal didn’t arrive hot, tasted lukewarm but had quick service with nice drinks. More of a pub than a restaurant. Dog friendly with dogs inside the eating areas, I would have avoided eating here if I had known before ordering (I have no issues with service dogs, just personally wasn’t comfortable eating near non-service dogs).

Met our son here for a bite to eat, was quite busy considering it was early evening in the week, lovely atmosphere and staff were very friendly food and drink were spot on 👍

I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I’ve tasted . Smashed avocado. The best . I’ve been coming here with my hubby and dog ever since she was a puppy and very welcoming and staff very friendly . Well done portivo

gave them another chance, how wrong was i. ordered a simple breakfast and after a 40 min wait i got nothing like what i ordered. i don't blame the staff, {very good} but i do blame the management for poor training and after care of customers. will not be going back.

Had a great lunch, good service, nice atmosphere and great food - good for gluten free options which was great for us with a child who is Coeliac and myself being gluten intolerant.

I had nazi goring and hubby had burger. Food was hot and tasty and reasonably priced. Nice rustic style atmosphere, right on the quays.

5/5 for service. Staff very friendly 5/5 for food Location was also great. We were doing a lecture at Gloucester College so just across the bridge

Well, to start with I will say with nice words" let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." - if youre really gourmet and enjoy great time enjoying with your buddies, just pop in the place, which presents you fab atmosphere and fill in with love. Easy navigate, and fantastic location. The food is always hot and presented well l would say the portions are of medium size. They also have separate menus for vegans and separate menu if you have to eat gluten free. All menus have good choice. The service is good with very friendly staff. Good atmosphere a nice place to come for drinks and meal with family/ friends. If you enjoy nice food the price will not reflect on it. The one thing which takes my heart to cry-soft drink is not advisable to buy, price outrageous but drink remains on the low level,just grab a glass of wine or cider and may it obsord you in fairytale with first-class music.

Tasty food and excellent service. Very dog friendly. You can either order at the bar or using a QR code at the table. Lots of tables over two floors. Music is a bit loud, but I’m getting old. Would definitely go back!

Popped in with my dog for a quick lunch. Staff were very accommodating and welcoming. We had a delicious fresh meal. Will definitely go back with out a doubt.

About food and a great menu: Charlotte S is a fabulous working who loves dogs and is super welcoming and chatty. I go regularly and the service is spot on and they look after me and my dog

Expected more from this place. Food was pretty average, nothing special and the staff... Well I didn't even know who was staff and who wasn't. Some of them were inappropriately dressed, dismissive and didn't care whether I was there or not. Decor was interesting and food came pretty quickly. Highlight was the drinks.

Short visit to Portivo Lounge for early evening food Al fresco as they have plenty of seating outside. Had the most delicious Mezze salad...honestly the best salad I've had in a long time....been out shopping looking for the ingredients to make at home ..feta, rocket, grains, crispy chickpeas, crispy falafels, pomegranate seeds, roasted beetroot and dressing. I'm posting a piccie of my recreation I made at home as I forgot to take a photo.

The Toro Longe has always been a family favourite, now Portivo is up there! Seating outside with views of the Quay. Full of atmosphere and food heaven. We will go back for tappas.

Not worth the money. We went on a Tuesday evening, so not that busy. We went in, and were told to seat ourselves, which is pretty normal for these restaurants so that’s okay. We went upstairs and the overall vibe of the restaurant was very nice. That was the only nice thing!! My friend wanted the soup of the day, and to find out the flavour, we had to flag down one of the very few staff that only came up to deliver food to the tables, as of course ordering was done via QR code. We asked one girl, she didn’t know, and just responded “does it not say online??”. No, it did not, so my friend and I went downstairs ourselves. there was a sign that said the soup of the day was “shakshuke”, and after discussing (within earshot of several staff members!) what a shakshuka soup would look like (tomato soup with some eggs in it?) we finally tried to ask a lady behind the bar. We were stood DIRECTLY in front of the sign, and so it was obvious that we’d read it, and yet when we asked “what exactly is the soup?” we were met with a very rude “…shakshuka??”. I get that if we hadn’t read the sign it would have been a bit of a silly question, but the tone in which she spoke to us was so rude!! would it have been so hard to say “oh, the sign is just here, it’s shakshuka today”? we went on to ask about whether there were eggs or not in it, and once again were met with a very rude tone and “it’s the vegan option, so no there’s not eggs in it.” Secondly, the food we did order was terrible. i got the cali brunch bowl, and for £11 the portion was tiny, and it had clearly been sat under some lights for a long time as everything had congealed a bit and nothing was crispy any more, but the worst part was the large pieces of eggshell in the poached eggs!! and, this is a small note but since im writing this review anyway, they hadn’t removed the top root part of the tomato when they chopped it, so that was also in my bowl, inedible! My friend did end up ordering the soup, but i wished she hadn’t as it took about 30min to come out (again, it was a quiet tuesday and surely soup can’t take that long to serve?) and was less than a child’s portion. the tiny bowl was about 1/3 full! also, i ordered the watermelon iced tea, and this could potentially just be personal preference but it was absolutely disgusting. i had to send it back and i had the elderflower cooler instead. i am not the type of person to send anything back or write reviews, but this experience was so bad i had to! all of these things alone can be forgiven, but all together it made for a pretty dreadful evening. won’t be going again!

The Portivo Lounge quickly became one of our favorite places to dine in when we visit Gloucester. Food and service are spot on! The Miami brunch is something we will recommend!!

Service is great, love the fresh cocktails and milkshakes. Food is amazing had the tapas twice now and it's delicious.

Firstly, I am surprised to read such negative reviews about the staff/service. They were all absolutely delightful! (Thank you for getting the chefs tip on the chickpeas!) We sat outside on a glorious sunny day, coffee, tea and shared a flatbread which was delicious! Great menu choice, great service. If we lived locally we would return.

There are Vegan and Gluten-free menus upon request with MANY options. There is also a kids' menu with coloring. Allergy food requests/orders are made at the bar - the manager took the order himself out of respect and concern for allergies. Make sure you know your table number when you go to order. For normal humans ordering, you can order via QR code at your table or at the bar. I was hungry and ordered (all Gluten-free) soup of the day which was carrot and orange, falafel & Advocado sandwich, strawberries & cream milkshake, and finished off with Banoffee cheesecake. In the burger, good balance of ingredients and the falafel was crispy and delicious. They gave me a GF bun and with the soup a toasted GF roll with butter on the side. The soup was smooth, blended well, was a pleasure and had a little kick - but I am sensitive to Spices, so you might not find it "spicy" like I do haha; a little kick like a curry has. It reminded me of a nice, warm carrot bread with the seasonings, highly recommend. Well, I recommend everything I ordered! The Whipped cream on the milkshake and Banoffee cheesecake was on point! Tasted fresh and close to homemade if not homemade. If I lived closer, I would be here once a month for sure. On my list for whenever I am back in the area. There is self-serve Tap water on ground and 1st floor. There are also high chairs for toddlers upon request or, if you are inclined to retrieve it yourself, behind the stairs by the handicap bathroom. Seating outside (ground floor) as well as inside, downstairs and upstairs. The regular toilets are up 2 flights of stairs but there is a handicap bathroom on ground floor with a baby changing station. By the stairs, there are some books for kids and adults as well as some games if people are willing to put down their phones.

Dog friendly and the food was fantastic. A lovely relaxing space with great music set at tbe right level for us to still chat. Just wish they had real ale!!

Four of us had lunch here burgers, buttermilk chicken and prawns with noodles all very good .One of the burger eaters said it was one of the best burgers he had had good meat and the right cheese.Waitress was very sweet and helpful well worth a visit

After Googling for gluten free places to eat Portivo Lounge in Gloucester popped up so we decided to try it and we weren't disappointed. They have an extensive gluten free range including desserts! Staff were very helpful and friendly and helped make the atmosphere what it is. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend.

This is a pleasant coffee shop that is part of a large chain. All the Lounges I have been to have been excellent and this venue is no exception. The food and service were excellent and the coffee was fantastic. I don't know how they do it but the coffee I have bought from Lounges has always been amazing. I don’t know how they do it but it’s truly amazing.

We visited in early July and the food & drink was lovely, the Buttermilk fried Chicken with fries and slaw was cooked to perfection. The house special Pink lemonade was great and our kids enjoyed the pancakes & sausage bap Lounge service means you order meals online or at the counter which might not be for everyone

As always, great food. Tasty and full of flavour. They take the time and care to cater for people with allergies, food requirements.

Popped in here for a burger. I tried the Lounge burger. I asked for an additional meat patty in it too. It looked good when it arrived, but I knew I wouldn't be able to get that in my mouth, so had to eat it with a knife and fork. The meat fell apart very easily - almost crumbled instead of some other burger places. The taste was good, I only just managed to finish it as it was really quite big. The coleslaw was really good too. Will try something else next time, but this definitely hit the spot.

We had tapas and we were very disappointed as they had obviously been microwaved and were of poor quality.

Staff were great especially the lady who served our table. Nice food. Monday deal good value.

We called in for breakfast on a Saturday morning after stopping at Gloucester on the way to Cornwall. It was busy, with people sitting indoors and outdoors, but the service was friendly and efficient they were also very accommodating with regards to swapping items on the menu. The food was served quickly and was a delicious and interesting variation of a vegetation breakfast. It was also nice to find a dog friendly venue in a city centre.

This is a lovely. Cosy warm and welcoming bar ,went with a group of 30 friends for food Very well organised,staff were very friendly. And helpful , love the decor also And also dog friendly which is always a bonus Only downfall. No access. For disabled upstairs or no lift , so no good for party’s then Otherwise love the place

Greeted by a server who yawned in our faces which didn't give a great first impression. Sat down, saw how filthy everything was and decided to go elsewhere before ordering. Disappointing as from the outside it looks like a rather nice establishment.

I do like this chain of restaurants, the inside is art deco meets shabby chic. The food is excellent and attentive service. I recommend the tandoori burger. Like my Google maps review to get 5 stars don't charge 5:95p a pint but overall a lovely establishment

1st time visitor. We popped in for breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was good, good quality bacon and sausage. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Will definitely come again next time I shop in Gloucester quays. Thank you.

Came here for lunch today 19/3/24 and must say it was very good. Couldn't fault anything we had, the philly cheese steak and the chicken club sandwich. We didn't bother with any chips as the sweet potato was a ripe off at £3.30 You can buy a whole bag and some from the supermarket for that price. Biscoff milkshake and apple juice were both good. Staff friendly enough and service was quick and food came fast from ordering on the phone from your table.

Ordered through the qr code on table. Staff were friendly when food was brought out. Milkshake was definitely blended with ice so just tasted like watery melted ice cream. Toppings on the souvlaki flatbread were great but the bread was so hard I could have used it as a Frisbee.

Went to Portivo last Sunday for brunch, very busy, had a lovely meal, with a cup of hot chocolate staff very friendly enjoyed the time.

The food was lush. Quick service

Came here with a meat eater and gluten free friend. It was great the Lounge had a separate GF and Vegan menu - we all managed to get a great tasting meal. I loved the smashed avo on ciabatta with some button mushrooms, vegan bacon and falafel. Tasted scrummy.

Went for Breakfast, quick, and the food was hot delicious and plenty, my husband had the large breakfast, and I had the lounge breakfast which was enough for me. Definitely will return.

From walking in, the atmosphere felt warm, friendly and inviting. The staff were great and engaging. Food was amazing, hot, fresh and very tasty. This place is worth going to Gloucester Quays for.

As usual, a really great Lounge! Always a vibe inside, the staff were lovely and the place was clean. Good food and in a good location. Went here to visit some friends as we were in Gloucester for the day visiting and we all had a good time!

The atmosphere was great. We went for a few bits and bobs of food and to meet friends. The staff treated us well. We asked to reserve a table, but they only do that for tables of 6 and more, so we came back later. It was quite busy but there was one high table left which was fine for food and conversation. The food came relatively quickly, and it tasted as it does in all other lounges. If I'm back in Gloucester, I'll be back

Usually go to the Estero Lounge in Monmouth but being in Gloucester for a Cinema visit thought we would try this version in the Loungers sites. Same varied menu and more great service from this team.

Lovely food, and a relaxed atmosphere.

My friend and I came here for a weekday lunch recently, and were very pleased. There are several brunch/lunch options on the menu, most of which can be customised to some degree. There's also a good selection of cocktails/mocktails to go with it. Food can be ordered at the bar, or from the table using QR codes. All our food came quickly and was tasty, and staff were polite. The restaurant interior is just like the other members of this chain: traditionally British with a little bit of eccentricity.

Great place to catch up or just relax.

Tapas is always a good choice, other meals ok, service always good, atmosphere ok.

Plenty of choice for a nice meal out.
