Great beer nice atmosphere and live music

This pub covers all tastes we went on a friday night it had karaoke in 1 part and live music in another. There is a garden which is great with shelter. Also has decent car park.

Didn't have food on so couldn't score it more. Barstaff away talking or singing slowed service. Atmosphere was friendly .

Refurbished and friendly. Nice place to go and chill out. Also they have live venues as well. Glad it is right up to my street.

We were made to feel very welcome at this great pub. Lovely and clean, friendly staff and free parking when you enter your reg at the bar.

Was their for a 70th birthday weekend, and the staff were brilliant and friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. We went to the put friday and saturday, and both nights we had good fun, when we go to Gloucester again, we will be visiting the england glory.

Friendly staff, dog friendly and beautifully refurbished with a well stocked bar and good atmosphere ☺️ will come again!

Some great real ales though often one or more will be out.

Spent 2 evenings here in the pub carpark in a campervan. It was advertised as a pub stop on several sites for camper stopovers. I have to say that whilst the bar staff were very friendly and accommodating, the landlady was extremely frosty with us. We spent time in the pub and spent a decent amount of money on drinks on both days we stayed but still felt as though we were inconveniencing the pub by staying in the car park. Granted we hadn't let them know in advance but once we had made ourselves known to the establishment I would expect to not be made to feel as though we were a burden, especially as paying customers of the venue. Maybe something to work on in the future. Drinks were however reasonably priced and the staff we interacted with other than the owners were very friendly.

This is a cracking pub. Lovely atmosphere and the beer is very well kept. I had the Butty Bach which was excellent. Well worth a visit

I stayed overnight in the carpark in my campervan and was warmly welcomed to this lovely pub. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of action due to a ceiling leak, but I will definitely come back and look forward to trying the food. Apparently they have bands on saturday nights too!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this is probably the best pub I’ve been to in Gloucester. Probably the best pint of Guinness in the land!! Nice atmosphere and the chap behind the bar was friendly and attentive. Nice decor too. I also reckon they’d win an award for cleanest pub toilets!! Will definitely be back!

Only been in couple of times since reopened. Looks really nice from outside freshly painted and inside nicely decorated. Clean and tidy. Got front bar with plenty of seating, back bar with plenty of seating and a pool table and Jukebox. Staff friendly and welcoming. There is parking but it's a pay and display carpark but I think you get money back on a purchase, please check with pub first. Nice sized garden with seating.. This is situated on London Road on main road from Hucclecote, and other areas of Gloucester.. Within walking distance from city centre and Hill field park.. We gone few times since been reopened Bob is always chatty and welcoming and Holly is bubbly and friendly always smiling and is a pleasure to chat with. They show sports and play music videos. There is a quiz couple of times a week. Reasonably priced..

Well had time to drop into pub on sunday eve , all good as used few times . Had had few few drinks prior as no work and late start .offerd to buy serving lady drink as having a giggle. Howwever when her none alcohol drink cost more than mine or my partner a £5.00 drink did seem a bit over top . However lesson learnt AND won't offer again ! This pub trying hard to please now understand new Tennants hope there enthusiasm stays will be gold mine treated well And if carlsburg had say they be pleased . Well 5 months on there hitting the spot some good ales on doombar in bottles music and warm welcome Nice time when eve4 me Sarah go and jolly Holly always working to please all guest

Great pub, lovely atmosphere with music and sports available. The staff is friendly and accommodating, they make you feel truly welcomed. Great place to play skittles, pool or to be with friends and family. Lovely place. During winter they have the fireplace going as well, making it even more cozy. Free car park is a lovely bonus feature.

Been renovated to a high standard defintaly morr warming than it was before will be back. A shame they don't do food though.

Another fantastic night in our adopted pub. No stars for good as simply did not eat there. Ad always happy smiling staff, hope they liked the Ships Crest we gave them Merry Christmas one and all at Englands Glory

Since the new Landlady took this pub on late 2022 it has improved leaps and bounds. A major makeover in March 2023 transformed the interior and exterior and the place has become increasingly popular. The beer is in excellent condition and there is usually a guest beer on. The kitchen has been renovated but sadly still no chef, however given the quality of the rest of the pub I’m sure the food will be great when it comes. There is a dart board, skittle alley and pool table out the back. Music and sports out front, volume reasonable if you aren’t interested. Always clean, always friendly, a great local now.

Great to see a pub run how it should be. Good choice of beers and cider. Wine etc too. Regular live music and sports bar.

Played skittles here tonight. A tight squeeze in the alley with 2 teams playing. Being the away side it's a struggle to see who's scoring what. Could do with some cameras and TV screens up on the alley.

Haven't visited for a while but has recently been refurbished. We will go again as it seems to be back to its old ways of friendly staff, regular entertainment, food to be served shortly and a proper local pub.

It’s many years since I have been in this pub so not sure what to expect. Very pleased with what I found, clean, very friendly staff especially a lady I think was Laura? She took her banter with a smile, tables kept clean as were toilets, another bonus for the group is it’s proximity to the bus routes so think this will become group local. All in all very pleasant evening in good surroundings and caring staff

Recently done up so nice interior. But the cask ale still needs work (too cold and also flat, could do with a sparkler on the pump… fresh mind, not off)

Dropped by recently as we were walking back to Longlevens. Really impressed by how it looks inside.... was quite quiet even though it was mid afternoon on a Saturday Beer selection is good, staff are friendly (although someone behind the bar turned the telly over to put rugby on when wveryone was un there watching football, so they all left.... weird behaviour)

We had a fantastic time at England's Glory. Paula was brilliant, they were so accommodating, brought us our drinks to out table, and generally made us feel so welcome. We joined the quiz on whim with the staple legends of the area and had a whale of a time. If you get a chance to pop by here, you won't be disappointed.

Totally unplanned visit done during an after dinner walk. Stepped into this small, externally unattractive, cosy pub to be greeted by a warm welcoming atmosphere during their Quiz Night. Staff & patrons were super friendly making our time there so much fun.

Food is incredible and gnwy went above and beyond for my birthday. They got flowers and decorated the table. Amazing staff and really intentive. Big portions so go with an appetite.

We used this public house for our evening meals. As it was convenient to our hotel. Food was whole some the homemade lasagne had so much meat in it. The open fire was very welcome.

Only had time for a quick pint tonight but it was a friendly atmosphere and really comfortable. Will look forward to going for longer next time.

Old fashioned style pub,recent new management, whom are much improved from the people that were there the last time I called in. I stopped off to see an old friend of mine and was pleasantly greeted by the bar staff.usual supply of mainstream products and do filled rolls at a reasonable price and very tasty too. I understand from friends whom have started eating here regularly that they do traditional old pub classics, along with a praised Sunday roast.not a lot of choice ,but all done well at reasonable prices. Not a pretentious gastro pub,and all the better for it. It has a garden area ,fenced off from a good sized car park,pleasant in the better weather,and the pub is dog friendly with water bowls etc. I shall be using this place more often,this place deserves to get busier,and do try if you like an old fashioned pub that's friendly, clean without blaring music ,decent food all served by nice people.

Just popped in on a Monday night, not been to the pub for many years and was planning an event meeting point. WOW what a surprise! A friendly welcome to a very busy pub, lots of clubs in doing their thing and locals alike. Great beer and good prices. What a little gem. We will be back for sure

First return after a long absence, now under new management. Autumn 2018. Friendly staff, only two cask beers on, 6X & Swordfish, never seen a guest ale. Dart board, comfy sofas.
