Was an awful experience, waited over an hour for food , they were serving everyone around us that came in after us , we paid for extra veg and didn’t get it , the veg that was served was stone cold, my partner ordered lamb , and it was all just fat no meat whatsoever, and the staff didn’t seem to care when it was bought to there attention, and the staff were very rude , never again will we be eating there.

The restaurant at the Trioscape Garden Centre has great choice of dishes and wonderfully kind, efficient staff ... especially Gisella who is always willing to help and has all the answers!! We love our lunches there and of course enjoy access to the vast array of plants and all things 'garden related'.

Delicious food - worth the short wait! The restaurant has been refurbished since these pictures were taken. However, like most other places, it's getting expensive to have lunch there - allow for £25 per head for two courses and drinks. Also, you now have to give a table number when ordering - difficult if you're by yourself.

The Orangery restaurant is so good we went twice in one week. First time was a miserable midweek day and went for lunch. We both had specials of liver and bacon with a great tasty gravy, mash and lovely bowl of vegetables. A chicken burger which was again well cooked, tasty and great presentation. We got a free pass from doing family Sunday lunch. Went again, where I had the lamb which was beautiful, soft and pink. The turkey was succulent and well cooked. All the veg was beautifully cooked and just the right amount. Even the wine was great value and really not bad for the price. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Yes this review is long because this is a great restaurant that is good value.

We have had really good experiences here previously however today was a real disappointment.. I booked afternoon tea via the website for 6 of us for my mother's birthday, specifically requested as we had been once before and been impressed. Before and after making the booking online I tried to call the restaurant on 4 separate occasions to confirm that I was booking afternoon tea , each time nobody answered the phone. As I had the booking confirmation email and other family members had booked it before the exact same way previously with no issues I took the email as enough confirmation of the booking. When we arrived a lady called Sue was quite abrupt and said that I hadn't booked afternoon tea and hadn't specified in the "special instructions" that I wanted afternoon tea. Nowhere on the booking form does it mention that you must specify that you want afternoon tea, only high chair or dietary requirements. Sue insisted that this was my fault at which point we disagreed and I spoke to the manager, eventually after some to and fro we were refused afternoon tea but the manager did offer whatever we wanted off the menus on the house as a gesture of goodwill. This was highly appreciated. The website does not specify that you must manually type in that your booking afternoon tea, even when you follow the link to book it. To make matters worse when we went up to the counter to order, food and drinks, Sue then started another argument with my partner stating that we needed to pay for the drinks as we were taking advantage as it was our fault we had made the booking wrongly, at which point we had to speak to the manager again. The whole situation tainted the occasion and we felt that Sue in particular was rude and so intent on making it clear it was us that were wrong that she just wouldn't listen to what we were trying to explain about the website booking system. My partner ordering the food was accused of raising their voice to Sue, however they only asked for the manager again after they were told twice more it was 'our' fault for the booking issue and we were taking advantage of the situation despite us ordering what we would have had for an afternoon tea (sandwich, hot drink and cake each) and then a couple of sides of chips. All in all, lesson learned- if you want to book afternoon tea, make sure you manually type in the special instructions that is what you want. The food we did have was lovely as always, and of course we appreciated the goodwill gesture from the manager, it's just a shame that one member of staff was so rude and escalated the whole situation. To be completely honest, as mentioned 5 out of the 6 of us had sandwiches and cake anyway from the menu so I don't see why they couldn't have just made this into an afternoon tea.

Attended a family birthday celebration yesterday and was really impressed with the standard of food. Whilst queuing for a coffee I saw some beautiful looking cakes and pastries. I also spotted some very lovely looking plates of food on customers tables as I walked past. We were served a private buffet (there was around 35 of us) and everything was totally delicious and very obviously prepared freshly......still warm quiches and sausage rolls. There was a selection of mini dessert items which were totally gorgeous. Really impressed with the standards in this very busy operation. I also mustn't forget the service staff too, who were excellent. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the fact that I live too far away to become a regular!!

Despite the nice environment, the service when ordering drinks did not match your lovely Centre. A lack of courtesy - the drinks placed on the counter in front of me without a single word uttered by the Assistant. No smile or thank you. Have been recommended to try Trioscape. Myself and two friends were looking forward to a lovely Sunday lunch together. We booked a table for 1.30. On arrival, we looked for our reserved table. There wasn’t one, so we made ourself comfortable in the Orangery, which is very nice. We then went to order our Sunday lunch to be told, no roast dinners left. At 1.30, we were very disappointed. Two of our party ordered a side portion of cauliflower cheese and portion of seasonal veg to go with their meal. I ordered a fried egg as a side. When our meals arrived, the side portion of seasonal veg didn’t arrive and neither did the egg. We had to go and ask for it. By the time it arrived, half of our meal was already eaten, and the seasonal veg was another portion of cauliflower cheese with peas and cabbage, if we were told cauliflower cheese was part of the seasonal veg, we wouldn’t of needed to order a separate portion. We then decided to get drinks. I wanted a wine, there were larger bottles in the fridge, but was told no small bottles, even though price was per glass, not bottle. So couldn’t have a wine. I found the whole experience very disappointing, considering the recommendation. Young staff were miserable and unwelcoming too. I won’t be returning.

We called in at Trioscape for a snack, the service was appalling. The staff totally ignored us for several minutes while they had a chat. The person that served us was unbelievably rude, we received no eye contact, no thank you no please and even turned her back halfway through ordering. She was constantly running her fingers through her hair then touching the crockery we were to drink from. We ordered sandwiches, made it clear “No Lettuce on my wife’s sandwich. We waited 27 minutes for it to arrive and when it did my wife’s plate was full of lettuce, unbelievable. The quality of the food was good so no complaints there and the young ladies taking the food to the tables were nice and polite. Another customer had a complaint and the staff behind the counter made a remark and laughed as she walked away. I’ve always liked Trioscape but will not step foot inside again, In fact the poor service made us change our mind about purchasing a table lamp from there.

He was simply outstanding. Polite, courteous, helpful, efficient, the list goes on. From the moment I asked for his assistance, he could not be more helpful. From sourcing the item we were after. Explaining the purchase and how and where to collect from, he could not have done more. He was even outside the warehouse with our goods waiting for us to pick up with the car, and he even loaded it for us. Wot a top employee, he will do well in whatever his future is, his attitude us spot on. I only hope you can identify him and pass on my sincere thanks for his 5* customer service. Lovely brunch after a recent previous very disappointing visit where I was unable eat and left hungry and upset. I do not eat bread for dietary reasons and just asked for scrambled eggs and had been told I could not have as they were a side that could only be added to a breakfast, but today I requested just scrambled eggs and was delighted to be told that I could have them. The lady serving reconfirmed just scrambled eggs on a plate alone which was nice, I am sure with allergies today it is not so difficult to arrange. My husband had a lovely if a little oily small breakfast which he said was delicious and well cooked and served, he is on immunosuppressants and sausages can be an issue if not cooked through. I am still a bit weary as to weather I come again I would be able to avoid the bread or just go hungry again remains to be seen, I will keep an open mind…

Fantastic as always! Not a massive Christmas selection but full of every kind and colour of tinsel, bauble and other decorations! Christmas trees are lovely, real and artificial! Always going to come back!

A lovely place..best of its kind with a great shop (unfortunately!), great displays, lovely staff. Quality plants well displayed. The Cafe. I think the kitchen have got it right. Only wait for food when v busy but the counter service is sooooo slow. There were only two people before us. We ordered two coffees and two bacon sandwiches (lunch menu and specials looked great) The bacon sandwiches came out immediately...just as I sat down at the table. Which was dirty and covered in crumbs. There were other tables which looked the same and two tables had not been cleared in the small area by the window. One tall lad was wandering aimlessly around. My husband, 10 minutes later, arrived with two coffee. The sandwiches with cool bacon were cold when he got there. Very tasty but cold cold bacon. The queue was 9 long when we left. Only one other couple served whilst we ate. Food was coming out quickly but... Special mention to petite plaited pigtail young lady who was calm, efficient and very polite and friendly. Not one table was wiped whilst we were there. What a pity.

Love this garden centre, it's full of amazing Christmas decorations to inspire you right now. Gutted they won't be having a grotto this year my kids loved it last year.

Lovely environment and a great selection of cakes, sandwiches a classics like fish and chips and lasagne. However, the specials board menu has amazing meals, we arrived around 1pm and some were already sold out. We ordered a local venison stew with truffle mash, herb dumpling and spiced red cabbage, my wife chose braised rump steak with potato cake, winter veg and a red wine reduction. The food was superb and well presented worthy of a place in an expensive restaurant. Both priced at under £15! Well done, please keep up the good work!

Had a table booked for Sunday lunch for 16 to celebrate a family Birthday. The food & service were excellent, the staff were polite, helpful and couldn't do enough to accommodate our large party. I would definitely recommend Trioscape to any family looking for a top notch Sunday roast which was adequately priced. We will definitely be dining here again in the future!

Booked for high tea for 16 senior citizens and wow did they do us proud. We had a choice when booking to have either afternoon tea or high tea. We plumped for the high tea as it was a celebr1ation of 65 years of our club. We were overwhelmed by the amount of food and the quality of everything. All home made and fresh. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and very kind and understanding. We cant thank you all enough. The garden centre itself is delightful with equally pleasant staff. I'm sure we will be back.

Poor customer service. I've been always able to buy pork scratchings from there, but last week I was told that we don't sell them separately now.
