Always a good sign for an eatery to see how busy it was. And it lived up to the expectation with a tasty and satisfying lunch. Had Cornish pasties with salad and accompaniment. Staff were pleasant, and efficient in dealing with the demand.

As visitors to the city we were looking for a lunch stop and this proved a good choice. It is a deli with a cafe added on so seating is simple but adequate. We both enjoyed our lunches and service was fine. The deli counter was very inviting but unfortunately we were just passing through so unable to buy any of the tempting treats. No toilets but some further in the shopping centre.

My friend is gluten intolerant. Jordan who served us was very helpful, suggesting the jacket potatoes and making sure that the utensils were washed and clean before serving. Very impressed

First time in Gloucester and was looking for a local coffee shop with homemade cakes and was struggling to find a recommended one online that was open. Nipped in here and was temped to try the homemade sausage roll, scotch egg and chocolate tiffin which we shared. All tasted fabulous.

Went in for a Bacon sandwich that was way overpriced at £6.60 what a complete rip off and on top of it all it tasted awful. Unless you want to be completely ripped off avoid at all costs.

Lovely staff lovey food would recommend we also brought some sausages as its all handmade.. Good value for money to. Go and visit you wont be disappointed

Low quality food that tastes like it has been left out to dry for days. Overpriced. It's a sad sight when low priced supermarket food is better than your local butcher. Disappointed.

This place is superb. Had a really tasty breakfast here and the quality of the products is impressive. Would love to have tried the homemade sausage rolls they looked so good, but diet wouldn't allow me to this time !

£4 for 2 bits of cold overcooked bacon on a dry french stick seems excessive even if the bacon is lovely.

Me and my mum came in and just got a drink and a sausage roll. We got served by a new girl and to be honest when she spoke to us it was so blunt and with a horrible attitude it made me feel really uncomfortable, she didn’t give off any friendly vibes and a horrible atmosphere. I sat down and she brought the drink over and I waited a couple of minutes and she had forgotten to give me the sausage roll. It wasn’t that she forgot it was the way she made me feel whilst being served, there was no smile no nothing it was just such a monotone attitude and extremely blunt. I come here very often and I am normally greeted really well and really like how the staff are very polite and smile so I am fairly disappointed with this woman service that I had as it did make an effect with how I felt afterward.

Honestly mark it a zero if I could FOOD POISONING!!!! ordered a hot sausage roll twice now the black pudding and pork one 1st time after eating had to run to the toilet bit just came of antibiotics so didn't think it was this 2nd time I've been sick for 3 days now with severe sickness and diarrhoea this was the only thing I eat that Saturday high temperature of 40 and chills throwing up and all avoid like the plage

Excellent staff who really know what they are doing, combining wit, great local produce (superb local bacon & sausages) making this a relaxing mid morning break. Very enjoyable bacon baguette with cranberry sauce and brie. This explains just why the Farmhouse is ever popular with Gloucester folk.

Wonderful fresh food,love their sausage and bacon baguettes. Pasties have variety of flavours,and the roast pork baguette is amazing.

They have the best sausages ever. They are so delicious. I am not in Gloucester all the time and wish I could get them delivered to Herts.

Butchers with a good deli section, offering pies, pastries, sandwiches and other like minded items.

Use this shop often and never had a problem. Today I went in and was served by a young man who was clearing dirty dishes from a table took them out the back and came straight out to serve me. Didn't wash his hands or use gloves or the plastic wrap to get the sausages I wanted. He also didn't put any wrap on the scales or clean them just put the sausages straight on to it then wrapped them and put them in a bag. This has never happened before produce have always been handled n a wrap. I have worked with food and have food handling certificate. I know these products will be cooked but still feel basic food handling should be in practice at all times. I called the number I found on the website spoke to a man who did listen and although he said he wasn't making excuses for the young man he was really. Your a good shop with 99% good staff just need to keep up with the young ones who may usually be good but today that wasn't the case.

Spur of the moment decision to grab lunch at the Southgate St Cafe. Ordered Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Paninis. Some of the best we've had. Good service and pleasant helpful staff. Great place for homemade pies and sausages and doing a good takeaway trade.

My girlfriend and I had been walking around the city centre for a good few hours before we stopped to eat. By 3pm a lot of restaurants had closed for the lunch/dinner interval and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a snazzy sandwich at a cafe. This deli caught my eye because it had a lot of different hams and pies that were nicely presented. There were sausage rolls too but the hot ones were at the back of the shop. Only a couple of times a year do I a get a food smile and it’s usually for simple food made well. The pastry was evenly rolled (not too thick or thin), crispy and had a nice glossy shine. The sausage meat was juicy, I felt full for a good few hours and it only cost about £2.

Went to this place twice during a 3 day visit to Gloucester for a takeaway or sit down lunch. Great selection of food on both counts.

What a find! Great value, excellent service and quality fresh cooked and deli meats. I had a bacon, egg and mayo sandwich and a very good cup of tea for £5. I also bought cooked ham, chipolata sausage, proper Cornish pasties and some fudge!

i looked for a cafe (and to shelter from the incessant downpours), and came upon the Farmhouse Deli. Nice bright and very clean, instant welcome - all very friendly. Quick order and freshly cooked breakfast arrived within ten minute Excellent meal; thick bacon, and locally produced long thin sausages, - neither of which were the mass produced supermarket stuff. Nice place and helpful people - a place to return.

I would gladly drive from Bristol to the Farmhouse Deli just for their sausages and Brawn. I worked in Gloucester from 2013-2015 and discovered this gem of a place while I was working in the city. My Wife and I go back a couple of times a year just to buy more ! Their home made pies are also epic.

Recordé lo buenas que eran las baguettes de salchicha al trabajar en Gloucester hace más de 10 años y al volver a trabajar aquí tuve que probarlas de nuevo y no me decepcionó. Tan bueno como las salchichas son exclusivas de este lugar y de gran valor a las 3 por un doble, es el único lugar donde compro el almuerzo.

Good choice of meats and hams and sausages and cheeses.

Los rollos de salchicha eran perfectos, escamosos, bien sazonados y, francamente, deliciosos. Si comes adentro, obtienes un poco de ensalada con tu rollo de salchicha. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que los batidos se sirven con pajitas de plástico. El ambiente era agradable y te sientas en cabinas cerca del mostrador de carne.

Great staff and quality of food although the pies I felt were expensive for what they were at £3.20 a go but the baguettes were great value for money and I will return here.

Best place in town for a sausage or bacon sandwich. Always freshly cooked and tasty. They have a loyalty scheme too so you get one free after 8 purchases.

Parece un lugar agradable y concurrido, pero compré un sándwich de mermelada de queso y cebolla roja de la estantería y fue absolutamente espantoso. Comí unos bocados y tuve que hacerlo porque el pan estaba duro y el queso de la otra mitad del sándwich era sólido y seco. Volví a verificar la fecha de finalización, y tenía fecha de hoy 17. 7. 19 así que no hay excusas. Muy, muy decepcionante y no volveré.

We come into the Southgate branch at least once a week and are always made to feel welcome by the amazing staff who work here. The food is delicious and nothing is ever too much trouble. Highly recommend!!

Delicious sausage in French bread, washed down with a nice coffee, sometimes the simplest things in life give the most pleasure. Check out their cafe in the Eastgate shopping mall if you want to eat in. I prefer a take out and sitting in the cathedral to enjoy my lunch.

There are two of these farmhouse deli’s In Gloucester and they are both under the same ownership. Back in November I went in to purchase some sausages from the outlet that does not have the Cafe in it. They were doing a special offer on the sausages and they were 3 lbs for £11.50. There is a variety and you could mix and match. A very pleasant girl serve me and I had three different varieties. A couple of days later I took them out of the fridge and I cast my mind back to when I was being served and I had the impression that the serverWe’d each individual bag separately and put them in my carrier bag. I got to wonder how she managed to get the exact weight of 3 pound doing it that way. The only way that would be possible would be to ensure that each one was over a pound in weight. So I checked them on my highly accurate kitchen scales and found that they were underweight by 3 oz. Please don’t get me wrong 3 ounces Short is not going to ruin my life but it was the principle of the thing that was pissing me off. So I rang the manager and told him what had happened. He said that was absolutely impossible because all the staff were trained to weigh the sausages together as a package on the scales.I reiterated my point to him that on this occasion he was mistaken and I was served with three different packages and together they didn’t give the combined weight of 3 lbs. he didn’t actually call me a liar but he gave me the impression that that’s what he wanted to say and he asked me what time I had visited the shop and he was going to check the CCTV. I told him what time I was in there and explained I was 6 foot seven tall and he wasn’t going to miss me and I look forward to hearing from him. He asked me to call in next time I was around. I explained this could be several weeks as I live 30 miles away and only visit when I have to take my wife to Gloucester hospital. Bearing in mind that he had my telephone Number I expected a call back from him once he had reviewed the CCTV footage to apologise. However no call came and today I found myself in Gloucester again and I walked the 20 minute journey from the hospital to make his acquaintance. In the shop I explain to the young lady what I wanted and she said oh I remember I served you and we had to get the CCTV to show what I done and I was so sorry I made a mistake and you are right I did not weigh them all together. I said don’t worry about it it’s just that the manager was so objectionable on the telephone I wanted to see what he had done and frankly I’m amazed that he hasn’t contacted me to apologise for his rudeness. She explained that the gentleman I spoke to was the father and wasn’t at work today but his son was and he was coming from the other shop.I waited five minutes and the Son came in and the young girl told him I wanted to talk to him. He disappeared out of the back of the shop and came back with a rather unfortunate manner. I explained his fathers wish that I would visit is establishment next time I was in Gloucester and what it was about. He said “I know it was 80 g short!” I said yes that’s right, he explained his father wasn’t there,nothing else was said,there was no apology he couldn’t care less. I’m bloody amazed they are in business with an attitude like this. I would’ve respected him if he had thrown a couple of sausages over to me,but to just do nothing and stand there like a wet weekend was laughable.

Nice food and staff, but very expensive for what you get.

We ate at the Eastgate shop and hust had tea (cup of water and tea bag for £1.90 and cappacino coffee. Ham sandwich and bacon and egg baguette, food was o.k not brilliant. The very good rating is for the sausages we bought to take home, they were delicious.

I have been buying the Gloucester sausage in here for years - without doubt the best sausage EVER! Being born and bought up in the city I now even show my allegiance to this fine premium pork product by stocking up and bringing them back to Devon where I now live - I will NOT buy any other sausage!

Striped in for a quick bite. Got the youkshire pudding wrap. Verry nice. Lots of other tasty looking food I didn't get to try :-(

Came in for breakfast, the two behind the counter were so friendly and polite and the food was just right . Would come back again .

We stopped by in town to have some lunch. We ordered some sausage rolls, a spicy vegetable pasty and some coffee.

Came in here for the first time and I will say the last time. OK the food isn't bad but 1.90 for a tea bag and hot water only is. The staff on duty laughed when I said no milk I soon understood why.

I came here twice for lunch last week the first time I had the breakfast which was wonderful, expensive at £7 for a small breakfast but the quality was very good the chiplota sausages were yummy.

Dieron un pastel de cerdo de un puesto en Tewkesbury Farmers Market cuando visite la zona. Puedo decir honestamente que es probablemente el mejor pastel de cerdo que he tenido. El pastel estaba lleno de carne y la pastelería no era demasiado grueso y bastante fresco. Encantador!

Mi familia tiene cría cerdos toda mi vida. Hemos hecho nuestra propia salchichas durante años, y que a la gente le encanta nuestra salchichas. Sin embargo, El Gloucester salchichas producidas y vendidas aquí es el mejor que he probado. No se me ocurre ningún elogio mayor. Me gustaría saber cómo lo hicieron. Ahora salir de mi camino para comprar salchichas aquí, o incluso un almuerzo caliente aquí, como los rollos de salchicha caliente no son realmente algo.

Nos recomendaron este lugar por un amigo por sus salchichas increíble. Especialmente su variedad Granja lugar.

Las salchichas aquí son para morirse! No comer otros ahora, especialmente el sabor de granja lugar. Comida de buena calidad recién hecho y el excelente servicio al cliente. Nunca me decepcionó!

After peering inside one time we thought this place looked great and so decided to venture in when we were next on the High St. Disappointed to say the least - purchased a blue cheese which I couldn't wait to crack open, but when we got home and unwrapped it, it had brown rot inside; should have suspected something might be wrong when we saw mould growing on one of the bries in the cheese fridge. Also purchased a bag of coffee beans - the coffee itself was actually really nice, but wasn't as fresh as it could have been as judging by the sell by date it had been sitting on the shelf for quite some time (the shelf itself did have cobwebs on it, so again should have known).

Top notch sausage baguette, above average coffee, good value and excellent service. The 'traditional' pasties we took home were equally enjoyable.
