Friendly staff, food good, service prompt. No problems. Visited on a few days off and have never had any problems at this pub.

I have just watched the team being swamped by so many folks, 16, 10 etc walk in and order food. The staff have been awesome, handling an unplanned food orders. Excellent service. Well done Ellen, Ela and Rob

Popped in lunchtime with a friend for a drink, ordered two glasses of wine. Rob the Manager suggested if we brought two glasses we would get the rest of the bottle free. That was really nice that he took time to mention it, very friendly and helpful Manager well done. Keep up the great work.

Walked in at 5.15pm for an off chance meal. All the tables had left over meals on them. The place look dirty. Lack of staff meant that "food orders" were not being taken. Tried to get a drink but the staff (one) were in a disarray.

Oh dear !!!!. After reading so many favourable experiences we decided to take advantage of the 40% offer sent via email. Downloaded the app and booked our table for 2. Arrived at a very busy bar with no visible empty tables. Explained that we had booked and were told to ' find a table' When again reminding that we had booked we were told our table had been taken. NO alology. Overheard that no Steak or Salmon available so decided to leave and enjoy a Chinese takeaway. Appreciate that pubs are busy when such offers are on but surely should be able to cope with increased demand. First visit for a long a while but won't be going again. Very disappointed.

Had a lovely meal there last evening with my wife, good value food was really nice (large portion) nice staff very helpful. Excellent selections of beers and wines. It was the first visit for a long while due to covid .

Breakfast was amazing, cooked by rob and hayze, food never fails to disappoint! Steph served us at the bar, was nice and quiet in the pub.

Friendly pub with great value food, good selection, and generous portions. We were a group of about a dozen, comprising adults with special needs. Everyone in the pub, staff, locals, and other diners were helpful and understanding. Thank you all for making it a special occasion for our little group. It made their week.

Came here tonight for a birthday meal with my partner, and our 2 children and 4 teenagers. Plenty of options for every fussy eater. Food was amazing, every plate was empty! Would 100% recommend and will be going back very soon. Surf & turf and giant gyros are a must!

Sizzling food, sizzling hot Eaten here now a couple of times and never had “warm” Great food, plus very friendly staff. The steak was really tender and cooked just right. Well done.

I arranged a 79th birthday meal for my mum. She able wasn’t set up and 4 people had to sit separate to us. The wait for food was just awful and the food itself wasn’t very nice either. They didn’t process my daughter in laws so she had to have a take away as we were just leaving when it came out. Don’t get me wrong the staff did the bat they could with only 2 staff and they had never worked there before. I really felt for them!

Came to pike and musket after booking a table for 15 we could not all sit together 4 had to sit else where Food steak was well over cooked rice was not cooked waited over hour and half for food peas was not cooked Missed one person on table when asked where it was they forgot to print it so had to have take away as every one else had eaten This was for a 79 birthday meal

Considering it was a bank holiday and very busy I only seen 2 staff front of house ,who were very organised and calm. Kept us up to date with our order taking a bit longer due to a new chef. Very impressed 👏

Visited the pub last minute. Great menu with a selection of meals 2 for £11. We had the fish and chips. Lovely meal well worth the money, staff were friendly too. Food was delivered promptly and the table was cleaned soon after we had finished. Would definitely go there again.

We love the friendly atmosphere here. It feels like home from home. Kids love the pool table. Food is always good and reasonable with good options for all tastes and dietary needs. Rob always makes us feel welcome.

Always used weekly for couples meal out, new menu similar names but not in quality! Pork is off the menu with a rough half rib (lump of rough fatty) of beef, quickly cold thin cut skin on chips! To top the service the sauce ordered was not delivered to the table with the food even after asking twice! Will gladly pay the £4 bus fare extra, to the Marston's pub from now on! Oh if you want fish and chips then don't expect fish from the continent as it's cheap Asian pond life in batter!

Asked a member of staff at the bar (slim boy with long hair with colour highlishs) and he was extremely rude and said get one from another table. So if you eat her expect dirty tables, clean your own table and search other tables for a menu. Probably the worst attitude I've ever witnessed from a bar attendant. Food was average my steak was a bit overcooked but consistent to the chain.

Arranged a table for my wife’s birthday for 13 people, service was ace, food was hot and tasty, will come again

Such a small thing but as many parents know a MUST with little children. My daughter and myself had off the 2 mains for £11 menu. Rob again checked before serving which plate my daughter was having so that she didn’t receive too hot of a plate. Tiny details but mixed with fabulous food made our flying visit most enjoyable. As a regular customer, I was very shocked how it has gone down hill. Staff are still good and pleasant. Food was awful mainly because it was all cold, even the sizzling plate . On complaining and the barman feeling food and sizzling plate we were offered a free drink, asked for the manager then was told monies would be refunded. On getting home and checking bank it has not happened. So not happy. Bin was overflowing in male toilets.

As regulars we met our friends for our usual Saturday evening socialising. The table next to us at about 9.30 complained to the assistant manager Jo that the children were still running around unsupervised at which point Jo went over and asked politely for the children to be be more supervised and quiet. The families concerned then started to shout and blame us even though we had not said anything. We spoke to Jo explaining that we had nothing to do with the complaint and asked that she rectify the situation as it was uncomfortable to us all . After speaking to the families concerned she then came back asking us to not speak to the children , to which we replied that we had not spoken to anyone at all. We explained this and Jo got aggravated towards us and stormed off.

Arrived at 1pm. pre booked. Table for 1.30pm. group of 13. Had ordered and paid by 1.30 waited ,complained,waited, complained and eventually received our meals at 3.30pm after having to reorder, because they had no fish. One of our party then had to wait a further10 mknutes for her meal. We had to ask for our desserts. The meals were of differing sizes with items missing. Staff was rude when we complained and no apology. Also noticed other customers getting a refund and walking out. Needless to say will not go back without an assurance the staff will treat the customers with respect.

Table booked for 13:30 food orders by 13:45 food came at 15:30 with no apologies from anyone. Gammon was over cooked and the whole meal was only warm when it arrived, had to ask for cutlery which was not appreciated by the server and was given a rude reply. Won’t be hurrying back

Have used this Pub on many occasions. Group of friends met up for lunch. This took two hours to arrive (simple Scampi, Gammon & Chips) and another 45 mins for desserts. Worst service ever! Attitude of staff unhelpful too. Won't be returning.
