Wagamama in Gloucester

Friendly service . Great food as always from Wagas. If you like fiery spice I'll advise the firecracker chicken! Lovely

We were served by a Celeste who was genuine, chatty and very attentive for a walk in group of five. She bought green tea out of pocket when they had run out and we were given complimentary desserts to try. Food was lovely and timely and i’ll definitely be coming back, probably at the same time in hopes of being served by the same staff haha. Came out feeling very satisfied thank you!

Food was okay, service not so good. Starters came after mains. We wanted a desert but it was a long wait until service came to ask if we want anything else.

Always great food and availability. The service is always excellent too. Green tea is a must with any choice on the menu.

First time visiting this venue of Wagamama's. It was nice and spacious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was good and arrived quickly. Minor downside was the recently introduced Wagamama's app wouldn't work! But only a minor inconvenience 🙂

Wagas prices are starting to sore upwards

Went for lunch, it was pretty quiet, so had a nice peaceful meal.

I went there two days in a row as there is a cinema next door. The first day, the ramen was ok, but the tea stain egg was cold. My lychee and yuzu drink was mixed nicely. Second day, chicken ramen. The broth was tasteless, and the Lychee and Yuzu drink was not mixed at all. The server asked if everything was OK and offered to add some sauce. But I tried to fix it with the soya sauce on the table. Chicken was dry and needed to soak on the broth to soften it. When I came to pay, a different server asked if everything was OK. Told her the broth was tasteless, and she said its because sometimes they have added a bit too much water. Quality control issues there! For a chain restaurant, there has to be a standard. They took the cost of the drink off which was good of them.

Consistently fabulous pan-Asian food. Great small plates and big ramen bowls or spicy Thai & Japanese inspired curries including the legendary Katsu chicken/tofu. The food always feels "clean" even though the calorie count says otherwise!

Nothing went wrong, and it is a lovely resteraunt, however the food is just too bland. Chicken ramen was less flavoured than pot noodles. My pad Thai was very bland, with no flavour at all. Chicken gyoza was good.

We had a great evening here with Celeste as our server, could not have been friendlier or more attentive. She recommended dishes to us when struggling to order and just made the whole experience that much better. Food was fab as always! Would come back again just for Celeste's service :)

Great food. Staff always friendly and willing to help. Prices are reasonable too. I'm always happy to eat here.

Friendly staff, good food at an affordable price. The menu is quite limited but the quality of food is excellent, the benches that are supplied to sit on however are bolted to the floor and quite uncomfortable.

The online order, which had been accepted on the website for some reason did not show on the restaurant system. This was very disappointing. The staff however in the restaurant were great and rushed our order through.

Very delicious food. The only thing I don't like about this chain is that they don't serve the ordered dishes at the same time, so there is always someone at the table who starts eating when the rest have already finished.

Much appreciated to the manager , who handled an allergen requirement of my friend and ensured the proper food safety guideline as per the company policy.

I ordered milk tea and ramen with Gyojo dumplings. The tea is delicious and the presentation is beautiful. The ramen is also beautifully presented, but the taste is not what I expected. Maybe it's just my taste. The chicken gyoza was very tasty and had a slightly sour sauce. The ramen noodles didn’t have curls like I’m used to, most likely it’s because they use different noodles, or they pull them themselves. It was spicy, but not as spicy as I was used to. But otherwise I liked everything. The ramen was brought hot, piping hot, so to speak. My friend ordered another dish, I don’t know the name, since she just pointed her finger at the picture on the menu. They brought the dish exactly the same as in the picture. It was fried chicken with vegetables in a sweet sauce and white rice on the side. A friend said that she liked it, although it was spicy. We also ordered corn dogs for two. We also ordered them according to the picture on the menu. They turned out to be vegetarian, which surprised us, since we thought they were filled with minced fish. As for the atmosphere, the establishment is very beautiful. Dim light, cozy tables in a style reminiscent of a Loft. Quiet music. Suitable for dates and photos for social networks. The service is great too. Although I think that too often people came up to us and asked: do we like everything and do we want to order something else?

Food is excellent as always, love the chilli squid! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Extortionate prices. £14 for a bowl of soup with chicken. The 4 of us received our food at different times. Less than comfortable bench seats.

If you want a quick, quiet burger meal a good place to go

Always clean, amazing portions and all meals are always really healthy and nutritious. Staff are always really nice and they have many vegan and vegetarian options.

We usually love coming to wagamama, but had a poor experience with the family today. Cold food, only partially better when recóoked, and really slow service (rare!). I wondered if they felt they met their own standards. Talked to the lovely waitress and they were short staffed and had trouble with the kitchen today apparently. They knew we had a poor experience but offered nothing, just gave us the bill and expected full payment. Disappointed they weren't proactive and just hoped we would go, spoilt our family celebration. Suspect we will go to an independent business in future, don't see the chain deserves our money.

Food was amazing, lovely peaceful atmosphere, our server Jay was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed!

I have visited this Wagamama many times over the last few years, and it remains my go-to if I'd like a meal with friends! The customer service is always excellent, whether it's busy or quiet. I have never had a server who wasn't friendly and helpful. The food is also lovely! The grilled chicken ramen and tama squid are my favourites. This branch also has great atmosphere, especially with the lighting. On average, I spend about about £20 per head there. On my most recent visit, it was a bit more because we decided to get dessert and another drink each. The meals are typically very filling so you might not need sides (I always make room for the tama squid though). Overall, I strongly recommend this Wagamama! I've never had a bad experience there.

I’ve eaten at other Wagamamas and have enjoyed the food and service. Finally convinced my wife to try Wagamamas Gloucester. The waiter appeared quickly and took our drinks order, but we weren’t ready to order food, so asked for another minute. 10 minutes later we started trying to get their attention, which proved impossible because they spent most of their time staring in to the kitchen and fiddling with things on the counter. We eventually got the attention of another member of waiting staff and asked if we could place our order. They told us our original waiter would do it and then spoke to them. 20 minutes after placing our drinks order, we paid for our drinks online and left. If I ever convince my wife to try Wagamamas again, it won’t be the Gloucester branch that we visit.

Wagama is always good but a special thanks to Josie, who went above and beyond to make it a very nice evening. The service makes all the difference!

First time for us. Loved the food, great service, atmosphere great. Will definitely go back. Yeah you might sit with people you don't know but you have plenty of space and it really doesn't matter. Would recommend.

Good food - very carefully with allergies.

This was my first experience at Wagamamas as I live abroad. The food was tasty and hot, though they didn't have my main course available (no prawns)! The service is random. We chose starters and main courses. (5 persons). One person's main course arrived before all of the starters had been served and he was finished before mine arrived. The system of writing the order on the placemat is very unusual, and I didn't like the waiters leaning across me to write it down.

Nice food but I'm not sure they understand the concept of running a restaurant,they bring the mains out before the starters 🤣 great staff though,,and the steak wasn't rested

Awful experience overall. Plate freezing cold. Food cold. Prawn dish forgotten. Defensive and rude female member of staff. Male members of staff more apologetic. Worst Wagamama restaurant ever visited.

I went there with my sister the other day and it wasnt very busy which was nice, our waiters were very nice and explained how some things worked because they had multiple kitchens, it was all lovely and looked amazing inside and the food was amazing and came quickly. We'll definitely be going there again

Great food a bit longer than I'd like to eat

Great food, absolutely amazing selection of food, served in an authentic way (whatever cooks quickest is served first). Wonderful selection with so many options. Good choice of drinks, although I would like to see more Japanese beers, otherwise an amazing evening! Since the last visit, overall the service has declined, very unattentive servers. The food is still amazing and would still highly reccomend the wonderful selection. Nice to see an extra sake on the menu and draught Asahi as well.

Wagamamas food is as you'd expect, the staff here are always lovely and super helpful.

Went to wagamamas for my husbands birthday queued and was told it would be a 10 minute wait.we saw the person who welcomed us collect her bag She was going home did not get usa table even though we could see tables empty. 9 of us then left with out getting a table. Terrible service.

I'm gluten free and was initially very pleased to receive a separate and comprehensive gluten free menu. However, the manager took the order and told me that at least one of the starters had not been completely confirmed gluten free (my advice....sort this out before your actions place a customer at risk) and that 2 of the 4 mains were unavailable. No confidence in the place, so I left.

Rude staff overheard them say “they can wait I don’t care “ won’t be returning here again

Went to order my favorite takeaway last night only to see it is no longer on the menu. Wanted the vegan harita bun but no longer an option. I substituted a Korean beef one as I am not a vegan but it was no where near as nice. I wouldn't order it again.

Went in shortly after opening time. The restaurant was pretty much empty but still had to wait a very long time for our two ramens.

Had a lovely lunch, food was great, tried the new ramens and our server Jay was great!

All in the norm, except for the service, they immediately brought two orders of five, and after half an hour they finished serving us all our order, in the meantime my Pattay was cold...

Really good food! The drinks are so flavourful and smooth, loved my grilled chicken ramen! Though the restaurant was very busy when we visited, our server Matt was very polite and saw to us as quickly as possible! Bathrooms were very clean and individual rooms with all the essentials! Overall a lovely experience!

Where do I start, I am sick of giving this place a second chance. Such bad service with rude waiters, especially the manager with red hair. We initially sat on the benches as the manager was happy to move us to a booth once available. After we ordered our food, we moved to a different table. We ordered our food at 7.30 at the first table we were sat on and my main came out at 7.45 which was fine, as we know the sides can come at separate times. One of the sides and my partners main came at 7.50. We noticed that the initial table had gotten our other side (bare in mind they were seated 2 mins ago) and didn’t even notify the staff that it wasn’t even theirs!! We asked the staff member to check where our gyozas were. And they admitted they went to the wrong table. By that time it was 8 o’clock, we were both half way through our mains and still no sign of the side we ordered. The manager came to our table and told us there was a mixup with ONE of the sides. And assured it was ready in 2 mins. So another 5 minutes went past and this is when we got frustrated and our gyozas arrived at that point. We then refused to keep the side to the staff member as we literally finished our food and sick of waiting for the last side to come. The manager with red hair, came back and forced us to take back the gyoza, with no apology and specifically said it took ‘4 minutes and not 5 minutes’ bare in mind that he initially said it would just take 2 mins to come out. He had very bad attitude and expected us to accept the side and get over it. He said to us that we made no sense when we were explaining how long we had to wait for this. When we were very clear that we were frustrated when we were told it would take 2 mins when in fact it took over 5 mins to come to our table. The red hair manager just walked off and didn’t even apologise for how he was being towards us and was nowhere to be seen at the end. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

It was 2nd times here, the ramens nice still! But one dropped! the smoothie way too warm it supposed to be cold!

Nice food as always although quite a delay between the first and last dish being brought out; I know they warn of this but the first person to get their food had nearly finished by the time the last dish arrived. The portion size seemed a lot smaller than we're previously used to as well.

Although they were very busy the food came relatively quickly and was delicious. The service from out server Jay was really friendly.

Incredibly disappointed by the experience here which really lets down the Wagamama's brand. We love Wagamama's and go regularly, but this was the first time at this branch. We visited on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was not especially busy, maybe 40-50% max occupancy. We were seated relatively quickly but waited 15-20 mins to even place a drinks order, staff were prioritising clearing the (many) dirty tables over taking even just drinks orders off waiting guests. There were multiple tables waiting to place orders. Even when we made a point of calling over to her to ask if we could order some drinks, she told us to 'just wait a sec while I clear these tables. Our drinks were prepared quite promptly by the bar but were then left sat on the bar waiting for service for ages - to the point where we were debating just going and getting themselves. In the end we had food arrive at the table ahead of our drinks. One of the mains was wrong, we sent the item back, and a different member of staff brought the same dish back to us 5 minutes later, which we again sent back. When the correct dish was eventually provided about 20 mins later the egg was partially raw. Obviously we didn't send it back again because we did want to eat at some point that evening - we just took it off and left it on the side. A second item we ordered never arrived (and wasn't on our bill at the end, so again we didn't question it as we didn't really want to wait another half hour to be served a starter /after/ our mains)! The incorrect main was showing on our bill along with the correct main, we had to ask twice for it to be removed before we could settle the bill. We were told the manager was going to come to speak to us but he never came. We were told several times by different members of staff how 'busy' it was (it really wasn't busy). There was just one member of staff who seemed to have the slightest idea what was going on - the young man who was working on the door seating guests. He needs a raise. :)

Food was really nice and presented well and nicely priced . The fresh juice and cocktails where nice and refreshing. The chairs well benches was not very comfortable and I think the staff was tired cause it was the end of the day so they wasn't as warming as they could of been, l had to break the ice and try and make them crack a smile lol 😀 but I'm sure if I go back on another day earlier I will have a amazing time x

Had an amazing and entertaining waiter named Greg! Managed expectations straight away, nothing was too much trouble and had an amazing personality! Food was great regardless of being short staffed kitchen wise. I'd be a regular to this particular wagamama's if I lived closer

Waited for quite a while to get a table. Ordered drinks, only then to be told that large part of menu wasn't available. Should have been told when menus were given out as 4 out 5 of us had decided on non available choices. We cancelled drink order and left. Was supposed to be Birthday meal for daughter. Going to try Hereford branch tonight. 🤞

I never place the order again for takeaway and don't advise others too at least from this location. Placed the order to 17:45 and agreed for pick up at 19:15, however I checked in at 18:50 and asked me to wait till 19:15 and I was on chair, unfortunately no one turned at up 19:23 then I realised and asked the waiter she checked with chef and sorry missed the order need to prepare need another 15 min.. really unpleasant way to treat the customer.

Never disappointed, food is always awesome. Katie our server was brillaint as well, friendly and attentive, made lunch much more fun. Thank you
