I wouldn't go here again..! The place was cold, the service was ok, the food was good, however not good enough for the price. You don't expect to spend £5 on some chutney that you didn't even ask for and £1 each per poppadom, they are normally a complimentary item, I'd have even just appreciated a heads up, i.e. "just to make you aware the poppadoms and chutney come as an additional cost' easy way to make extra money for them I guess. They also added on £18 in gratuity, this is usually an option thing in nearly all restaurants in the UK, I usually do tip for good service and especially for exceptional service, but this service was just ok. Very disappointing

Poor quality bland food, lamb we ordered was tough and chewy AND THEY ADDED ON A TIP CHARGE! Won't be back I'm afraid.

So this is my go to place for a delivery and the food is lovely. Tonight I ordered mint sauce (amongst other lovely things) but only got a tiny amount. I realise this isn’t a big problem in the grand scheme but flagging as usually get more.

Reasonably good Indian restaurant in an interesting old 60's vibe building with fake palms, ranch themed styling, white stucco etc. Service was great, attentive without being OTT. The food was pleasant, although not standout for these places. The prices were middle of the road, although the wine was quite pricey for what it was, a fairly average bottle. The bill included a whopping 15 % gratuity, which wasn't mentioned at all when we paid - very cheeky we thought and the place loses a point for that reason.

First visit here and I thought the food was excellent. A comprehensive venue with good gluten free options.The service is of a high standard and very friendly. On site parking, clean toilets and a good atmosphere. Very enjoyable evening, thank you.

Indian Memories restaurant provided a captivating culinary journey through India. From the warm hospitality to the inviting ambiance, it left a lasting impression. The extensive menu showcased the diverse flavors of India, with recommendations from the knowledgeable staff. The appetizers, such as the crispy samosas and succulent kebabs, delighted our palates. The main courses, including Chicken Biryani and Paneer Tikka Masala, were outstanding. The exceptional service and authentic experience left us eagerly anticipating our return.

I really enjoyed my evening out at Indian memories. The food was very tasty and I’ll definitely return to have it again. My partner and I ordered the korma and Sag Paneer with some side dishes. The staff were very kind.

Place was freezing cold and I asked for a coffee, twenty minutes later I reminded one of the two waiters, he called the other one over and he started to laugh, said he forgot! No other diners in the place! Food was mediocre and we both agreed not to return.

Cheap ingredients, cheap design, weird stuff, we won't get back there ..

I came in as soon as it opened as I was on my way home and was very hungry! The food was very good and the staff were attentive and friendly. My only criticism would be that they had phones (for deliveries etc) that were really loud and went off constantly which if I hadn’t been by myself would have made conversation difficult and was very distracting. Overall though it was good and the food was really nice.

Ordered on-line which was easy - as was collection of my order. However slightly disappointed with the food. Ordered a garlic naan - I got a plain naan. Rice was tepid & not hot as I would have expected. Poppadoms were not crispy - soft in less than an hour. Remainder of the food was top-notch. Just a shame that the overall experience was not as good as I expected.

This is the second time I've been to Indian Memories and it's fantastic - I last went 4 years ago and it's equally as good as before. I was in a party of 15 that stayed until late - the service is second to none, nothing is too much for the staff, and they truly make you feel welcome. Prince (not Princess!! ;) ) makes the best lassi - throughly recommended and we'll be back again. A huge thanks from Gloucester Rowing Club!!! Much appreciated - Merry Christmas! Rach

Completely shocking experience. As you will see from the photos... disgraceful. Wouldn't even admit to the fault. Then when I try go to the restaurant to get refund. They sate they don't have the cash for a £35 order.... wait till you see what I got for £35.... which mind you had a 5er discount 🤔...... as I was on way to restaurant to claim my money.... they have threatened me with giving out my" personal details"... and with "15 man" waiting out side to deal with me... police have been contacted.( due to the threats against my property) there was 3 poppadoms... that I didn't have photos off which they charged £4.50 for aswell.....

I had the most delightful Indian meal last Saturday. The flavors were rich and authentic, transporting me to the streets of India. The buttery naan bread perfectly complemented the aromatic chicken tikka masala and the creamy palak paneer. The biryani was fragrant and packed with tender pieces of meat and aromatic spices. The friendly staff and cozy ambiance made my dining experience even more memorable. Highly recommended for any Indian food lover!

I have wanted to visit here for a while as is on my doorstep. The service was a little slow despite the restaurant only having a couple of other guests. The food was nice.

I ordered Chicken Vindaloo and Garlic naan through Uber eats. It was absolutely scrumptious! The Vindaloo gravy stands corrected, spicy level to the point and tender pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was soft with delicate flavour of garlic. I also ordered Tandoori prawns, they were massive. It had a nice hot and charred taste. Trusted Indian flavours, highly recommended!

The place is looking quite tired both outside and inside. The member of staff looking after us lacked basic customer service skills. He didn’t really acknowledge us and just seemed to not really want to be there. I ordered a lemonade which was completely flat. We ordered pakora and samosa starters which were very small portions considering the price and quality. They both came with a very sad ‘side salad’ which was just a tiny portion of wilted shredded lettuce and a few slices of red onion. Had a long wait for mains, considering how quiet the restaurant was, which arrived lukewarm. The food was placed on the heat trays although they had not lit the candles to keep anything warm. I ordered a vegetarian main dish, sabji molee, which was just green beans and peas with a couple of potatoes in a very bland sauce. On requesting the bill, we were surprised to see the service charge was automatically added. Considering the service we received, it did not feel warranted. Left very disappointed with the food and service and so would not go back or order takeaway from here again. The only saving grace and reason for 2 stars was the member of staff who brought out our food was very kind and attentive and checked in with us, a stark contrast to the member of staff who was ‘looking after us’ for the majority of the evening.

We sat and a new waiter came and said to us I only take drinks orders and asked us if we need popadams! Never said about chutneys and pickles! 99.99% indian restaurants when u go, popadams are served as complimentary item! In the menu it says per portion of chutney and pickle it is 50p and they charged us £4!!!!(8 times) just for chutney and pickle and £3 for 3 popadams!!!! It was ludicrous!!! The food was extremely tasteless! We ordered chicken rezala and honestly being an Indian I can say there was 0% flavour in the curry! Rice was uncooked!!!! The fact that pissed us off was the rude argumentative behaviour of one of the waiters and deliberately charging customers more!! We will never come and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go and eat there!

Had a delicious meal plus the service was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

My partner and I both thought the food was quite bland. Seems hard to achieve that when doing a garlic dish and a chilli dish. The big disappointment came when seeing they had snuck themselves a tip in to the bill. This isn’t America. Tips are left at the table or offered, not automatically added to the bill with the amount being decided by the staff. That was an instant never return for me. In response to the reply… Ensuring a good team is important and they deserve fair pay… so pay them fairly with their hourly wage. If your business model is to intentionally underpay them and then make it up by automatically adding on a tip to the bill, then you are intentionally deceiving customers with the menu prices. Disgusting. I mentioned the issue to colleagues and was told they too had received an exaggerated bill from yourselves in the past and were very unhappy. It’s deceitful and unjustifiable. If I hadn’t already only given 1 star, I would definitely now be changing it to 1, after you admit your deceitful practice and try to pass it off as a good thing. And now that you have admitted that much, I wonder if the website pricing discrepancies are not merely an oversight, but are perhaps deliberately lower than the restaurant menus to get customers through the door before being confronted by the real prices?

Service left alot to be desired takeaway orders seem to get priority over restaurant, waiter spilt a drink over me. we ended up taking our meal home due to wife not feeling well. Stil got charged a £12.17 gratuity?? Which we think is outrageous

Came for a dine in with family of 4 absolute amazing my kids loved it wife also happy. The curry was unique plus amazing and on top of that the service was on point the staff were very friendly and everything came just on time when we wanted it. There were no rush and the staff had their patience on taking our order which was great anyway guys well done we diffenetly be back again for sure.

Waited 25 mins for first course (only me in) when it arrived it was barely warm, was charged extra for pickles. Second course meat was very chewy and tastless, ended up with a glass of water then ended up with a bill for 39 quid! First and last time for me. Waiter was useless, no people skills and didnt appear to to know what he was doing. A total waste of my time and money.

Very poor compared with other restaurants in the area. I waited 25 mins for my first course which when arrived was just about warm, second course meat was very chewy and tastless the potatoes in the sag aloo were cold in the middle. I gave up at this stage and had a glass of water. First time and last at this place, waiter was poor at his job and to cap it all I had a bill for 39 quid! 😫

Unplanned midweek visit with some colleagues and not sure what to expect. Restaurant was very quiet but it was quite early so I guess not unusual. Welcome was friendly and service was good - food was very good and portions were generous. Only downside for me was that the only beer they had was bottled - not the end of the world but never quite the same. Overall, cost was ok and I will probably return as it is very convenient to workplace.

Simply awful quality for the food delivered for the price charged. Cold and readily awful. We ordered 3 dishes with rice , chips & starters . The chips were cold , the naan bread was cold and stodgy . The curries were tasteless and fir the price charged it’s hard not to feel absolutely ripped off ! We also ordered poppadoms and threw them out because the were stale . From my point of view I’ll never again use their facility to order food !

So we got there at 8 for when the table was booked, they were quite quick to take our drink order, but it wasn’t until we tried to order food that we had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to come to our table, there were other people there but not many. It was very clear that this place looks after their regulars and totally ignore you if you haven’t been here before. We watched 2 lots of people, come and go by the time we’d even had our food bought out. They were greeted with handshakes from the staff, we were not. There was a tall waiter that spend the whole time just chatting to people while we were waiting to be served, there were about 3 others just stood at the bar pretending not to see us, it wasn’t until I physically got up and asked can we get served, to which the waiter nodded and preceded to ignore us again. Finally someone come over and took our order and Jesus was he miserable. We then had to wait another 40 minutes for the food to come out, baring in mind the place was dead by then. We nearly just left the food and walked out but it finally arrived. The food was nice but way over priced, an to make matters worse they put a £7.50 service fee on, for what? Doing your job terribly? £70 for a meal for 2 people with only 1 drink each, that was shocking. The garlic naan was burnt. To sum it up we gave this place a chance and It was awful let down by the shocking service. Needless to say we won’t be back

Incredible food, incredible customer service from calling up to delivery. They were so accommodating with a severe nut allergy and taking ingredients out. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Will definitely be ordering again. :)

I'm never one to complain about food but it was not great. We drove out of our way to try Indian Memories. Some of the items were missing, we phoned at home once we realised and they quickly brought the missing items by which time most of the food had gone cold. Dansak was very bland so don't order that. First time trying them and the last, packing the right food is basics.

Four of us went for meal and I can honestly say it was a wonderful eating experience. The service was superb, the quality of the food excellent and very generous helpings. In our opinion we can highly recommend the Indian Memorise as a place to dine.

Don’t bother!! Ordered £55 worth of food through Deliveroo at 6.30pm and it said 1hr delivery. I started chasing at 8.20pm and was told it was on its way. Eventually at 8.45pm when I rang again I’m told it wasn’t out for delivery and it was missed. Totally ruined our Saturday night when we really wanted a curry and my young daughter need to eat before it got too late. So it was toast at 9pm for us. When I asked for a refund I just got told you need to speak to Deliveroo. Shambolic and very disappointing and a very upset 8yr old. In answer to your response, I phoned the restaurant twice and both times you told me that the driver was on the way and only after being left on hold whilst you phoned the driver I heard you say in the back ground that the driver didn’t pick up the order. So no I won’t be using you in the future…….

Fantastic opportunity to try new foods around the area at Quedgeley. Indian memories is probably the best in fact the best restaurant in Quedgeley. Keep up the good work.

Seven of us attended this establishment for an evening meal on 18/6/22. I debated whether to give a 2 or a 3 - with the number of options out there they really need to do better. Unfortunately Indian memories was not very memorable. Bearing in mind it was not exactly bursting at the seams, the service was rather slow, in addition to which the welcome from some of the staff was far from effusive, one of whom had a permanent scowl on his face. Quality of the food was patchy. Starters were quite reasonable, but the main courses were average. I decided on the mixed biryani. The sauce was tasty but the chicken pieces and prawns were small and the lamb appeared to have been almost cremated, large blackened tough pieces. I rather got the impression that the lamb chicken and prawns were bits left over which had just been thrown in. Nowhere near good enough in terms of customer service or food quality. Not especially cheap either. Sadly my review matches the tone of other recent reviews. Not recommended.

Always been good. This time the delivery was missing one of the curries. I rang up, they resolved the problem & had it delivered to the house before we had finished the popadoms….A BUSINESS SHOWS HOW GOOD THEY ARE, BY HOW THEY SOLVE A PROBLEM & WERE OUTSTANDING TONIGHT. Thank you.

Not good, the food is mostly sweet made of coconut gravy. Nans dont seem to be made fresh, looks like the one we get in tesco. Ambiance is good though. Overall wouldn’t visit again.

I ordered food from restaurant to take away. I taste sag paneer which had so much sugar that I couldn't even eat it. Had to throw it in Bin. Tikka rice was burnt which is even more disappointing. Lamb in Mixed grill was raw. I called restaurant and explained this to the staff. He said he can't do anything and I am lying about the food being disappointment. He also said that most people who eat in restaurant are White people and because I sound Asian my complaint should not matter and I should like their food doesn't matter what. Clearly the staff member was very racist. I tried my best to ask him if he can do something about this issue but he said I can make complaint to whoever I want and still he will not care and he slamed the phone down while I was still trying to talk. Overall very bad experience and very disgusting food and behaviour of the restaurant staff. I will never get anything from this restaurant. Specially knowing that staff is racist and they will not respect me because i am not White.

Nice place and the food was good although the pieces of lamb we ordered in the Poriyal dish were a little bit hard for our liking. Some of the pieces of ladies fingers weren't tender. Saw beautiful sunset while dining.

We ordered via Uber..app worked well and went to collect the food . On arrival, the food wasn't ready and had to wait 25 minutes longer for it. In fact, staff forgot I was waiting as had a big party in . On receipt, the food was barely warm. .The curry wasn't the strength I'd ordered ( and payed an extra 1.50 for..god knows how that works), the mango chutney was fizzy and off . Ordered a takeaway from Indian Memories. But I don’t think we shall be doing so again. We have lived in the area for over 9 years but for some reason have never ordered from here. We use another curry house that is not local to Quedgeley that is well rated and delivers too our area. Delivery was prompt, the rice, chicken passanda and korma were ok, not much though. The samosa portion was a bit sorry for itself, the kebab starter didn’t live up to the expectation a bit dry to be honest. I know it’s a kebab but I have had better. The peshwari were a bit on the crispier side, it too didn’t rise to the occasion. I thought they were meant to be cushiony with ground almonds coming out if their ears. The big disappointment for me was the Lamb Saag although flavoursome it was tough and gristly in places. So no it wasn’t the best experience for us sadly. To add insult to injury our bill was a way more than I would have liked to pay considering the quality and quantity. I appreciate the hike in prices etc but this was extortion.

First experience of your takeaway.. all the food was cold and dry … an extremely disappointing experience with your company and we will never be ordering from you again… £49.00 for a meal for 2 and it was inedible. So so disappointed.

Really good meal, was concerned by other reviews but we had an excellent meal. Main was very tasty, nan was spot on, rice good, the onion bhaji was on another level. All food was piping hot. Waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

We have been going to the Indian Memories for six years. Unfortunately in the last few months the restaurant has really gone down hill, service is slow, very few staff. the food is not as good as it was. The restaurant is also very cold and lacks atmosphere. What a shame. I think that the imposition of a service charge added to the bill will also put people off.

When moved to Quedgeley 8 years ago, this restaurant & takeaway was really good, a little overpriced but worth it. Since then the quality of the food has gone downhill and is very inconsistent. The final straw came earlier this week when we ordered a very standard indian takeaway which my husband went to collect to save the £5 delivery fee (only live around the corner)! It felt like a 'hunt for the chicken' and my husband (having a different dish to me) was up most of the night and the following day being violently sick! The cost of dishes is crazy too, way too high for the terrible quality! Just overall, wholly disappointed with quality, lack of food, very high price. I would not recommend this restaurant/takeaway to anyone at the moment.

Visited as a group of 10, service was slow and took a while for our orders to be taken. Waiter seemed like it was a hassle to serve us and take our orders. Majority of the food was nice and flavourful but some commented their dishes were a little bland with the sauces being on the watery side. Visit was soured by a £38 tip being added without our agreement or knowledge to the bill, leaving the last to pay with a shock. If a tip is added to the bill this should be highlighted when provided with the bill, at the very least.
