Arrived and our table wasn't ready so we were asked to head upstairs where a waiter would seat us ; when we got upstairs we were ignored by all members of staff and stood waiting around until someone finally questioned what we were doing and sat us down (behind a curtain)
45 minutes later we were asked if we wanted a drink and to order food
Another long wait for starter to arrive.
Mains turned up without our dishes being cleared away so I was forced to put starter dishes on another table and help myself to clean cutlery.
Asked for some cheese to go on top of the pasta - this was never brought out.
Pizza was ok, but pasta inedible - the 'tomato sauce' was simply a can of heated tomatoes. The 'sauce' had no flavour or indication of having been made from quality ingredients and cooked for any length of time to enhance flavour - there are students living on tight budget that could produce something tastier and more authentic.
Nobody asked if we wanted more drinks. Nobody asked why those who ordered pasta had left most of their meal.
Didn't order dessert as we had simply had enough of being sat in a noisy restaurant, surrounded by dirty tables, being ignored by waiting staff
Have not had a great experience in the past but in the interest of being fair we tried again. That will be the last time. Would NOT recommend
Wanted to be near Exeter Quay and decided to go to Harvester as large car park for late lunch. Three or four people at tables in bar area and it looked like perhaps 1 or 2 tables occupied in dining area. We waited where it says wait to be served, no one. Went to bar. Could hear and see staff working as they were hovering around the door behind the bar and there was an obvious moment of panic when we nearly caught someone’s eye and they quickly jumped back into the back room so they definitely knew we were there but still absolutely no one came to help us. Felt almost like they were hiding until we gave up. After about ten minutes we realised there was absolutely no chance of any service, walked out and found somewhere else to spend our money. Thoroughly unimpressed.
Very good food, nice atmosphere and a place to meet friends. The service is friendly and helpful. We were served by Aneta, who makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Highly recommend.
They use fake photos online to advertise for takeaway and it looks like the dish should have had multiple different vegetables but end up with cheap leftover potato and carrot strips (I think they’re leftover because of the taste and how soft and soaking it is).
My wife & I had booked this to pay a visit before the boxing last Saturday. The booking said it would open at 5pm so we turned up at 6:10pm to be told it was closed! I then asked the polite ladies at the entrance if it was really only open for 1 hour that night and they laughed and said yes. All a bit of a waste of time for 1 hour! Don’t bother wasting your time.
Disappointing. Ordered the tuna cheese melt, poor quality. Bread was tough as old boots, very little tuna and tiny portion. Ludicrously over priced at £6.25! Absolute rip off.
The table behind us was full of used crockery and cutlery from the previous diners and was still there when we left. No attempt had been made to clear the table. A bad look , poor hygiene. Waitrose used to be renown for its quality, seems like those standards have slipped.
Excellent meal, as usual. We are never disappointed. Good value, excellent food, generous portions, friendly welcoming staff, what more can I say.
Definitely recommend.
We popped in for lunch on the spur of the moment and really enjoyed the food. Great vegan menu and 3 of us shared the vegan veggie pizza which was excellent. With the salad and refillable drinks it was plenty of food and great value...
This branch of Pizza Hut is due to close soon (according to local news websites), so we decided to take one last trip as a family as we have nice memories of eating here. The food from the kitchen was nice and the salad bar fine, however the ice cream factory wasn’t working and looking a bit sad with ice cream all over the sprinkle shakers, there was no ice in the drinks machine either.
We enjoyed our meal but it so sad to see what covid-era online ordering and tight budgets are doing to family restaurants like these. They ask you to order online yourself, website decent enough but takes ages as we have to enter everything. You pay first and are asked if you want to leave a tip, well, not yet as we have not yet had any service.... and we didn’t really from then on, most of it was self-service (which the kids love) but our waitress was so overworked that she had no chance of clearing tables or being present to respond to what people needed - kept having to get up and go to front of house/delivery and ask. Again just completely not her fault, cutbacks mean there are just nowhere near enough staff out on the floor, everyone was hardworking and pleasant when we dealt with them, it’s just frustrating to have your dessert among dusty dishes from your main course.
Pizza Hut is not a cheap night out and I’d so much rather pay a little more for it to be a proper restaurant again with someone taking your order and paying at the end.
Tried to buy 2 pork casseroles, only one left at 12:55 so ordered one lamb instead.small potatoes and veg inedible, only 4 small cubes of lamb(very tough). Pork casserole, roast potatoes lovely, all veg inedible, so rubbery, pork in casserole lovely but again only 4 small cubes, the plates looked ok and full but over three quarters of the meal inedible, took some shortbread home and had to throw it away, won’t bother again,so disappointed and £20+ pounds lighter
