Always a really warm welcome and good attendance by the staff throughout! Pizza is consistently brilliant and the Duty manager provided the personal touch often missing! One of our favourite restaurants! Thanks so much.

A lovely service from Lucian. He really made an effort to be friendly and help the youngsters to understand the menu.

Lovely Christmas & Birthday Party 2 in 1 at Pizza Express Exeter Cathedral Yard. Very nice and friendly service. ENZO was amazing looking after our party of 15. I think every time we come there again we ll be asking for ENZO. 😀 THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

It's okay. Pizza was fine and dessert was good, but everything was extremely overpriced. Dessert was a yummy slice of cake, but it was laughably small and cost something like £7! If you want delicious pizza at an affordable price (along with great salads and desserts), I would recommend Franco Manca.

We had Adam as our Server today. He couldn’t have done enough, we had multiple tables around discussing how he was such a great waiter. As fellow employees from another Pizza Express, we were very impressed with the high standard of service.

We hadn’t booked but were so grateful that Wendy and her team accommodated our family. The children were delighted with their hats and colouring and all staff were so friendly and made it a great experience for them. Lovely pizzas and the children’s pasta was delicious. Took 50 mins to deliver 2 pizzas and one pasta. Had to follow up 2 times. When informed the manager (lady) she was trying to justify the wait time. No early indication that there is long wait. Poor customer service 👎🏼

Lovely early supper here with my family . We didn’t book but were made to feel most welcome by Enzo our waiter . We went for the festive menu which was well priced . Great service and fun too.

Slow service, the atmosphere just felt a bit rushed with the xmas parties that were in today. Food was tasty but a massive joke when we order extra ham on a pizza just to get 5 tiny pieces for an extra £2.50. Raised with waitress and they removed from the bill. But if you are paying for something you would like a decent amount surely.

Food was delicious, proseccos were gorgeous and service was amazing. Isabelle our waitress was really helpful and made our experience lovely and fabulous.

This was my third visit to Pizza Express with my partner, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our previous experiences. We were seated promptly and placed our order, but our starter took 30 minutes to arrive. After finishing the starter, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the main course. While the food itself was up to the usual standard, the garlic butter dip was completely rock solid and unusable. At the end of the meal, we struggled to get a staff member’s attention to request the bill. When we finally did, the waiter appeared visibly frustrated that no gratuity had been added—despite the disappointing service. Overall, this visit fell short of the service we’ve come to expect from Pizza Express.

Totally amazing service thank you Wendy and wendzo! Impeccable staff and food! Grateful for taking six of us on short notice. We will be back! My son’s birthday meal! Amazing 🤩

I don’t often write reviews but I feel strongly obliged to share what a positive experience I had yesterday evening. Enzo are server went above & beyond to make the dining experience a very pleasant & enjoyable evening. Impeccable service ensuring service ran like clockwork. A real credit to the establishment. Not to mention the food, seriously impressed. Generous portion sizes & attention to detail with each dish. Will definitely be making a return.

Went for a lovely dinner after christmas market, Enzo and Adam were honestly the best people ever, Enzo was so efficient and fast and he made sure we were seated at nice and warm seats, Adam aswell made sure we were comfortable, Food came really quick and what else can I say the food was BOMB!!! fantastic team fantastic food will definitely return here!!! definitely recommend

AVOID!!! Over priced, staff arguing, long wait for food and was about to cancel order for amount time had to wait, food didn't smell edible or safe so just paid, didn't eat Pizza, complained and left to eat else where, complete waste of time and money, never going back!!!

Pizza Express is such a fabulously nostalgic place to eat... It never fails on service or food. I've been going to them since I was 6... 30 years! And they are still is brilliant as ever. Wendy at Exeter Pizza Express was an absolute diamond, her Service was outstanding. We will be back! One request though... Pizza Express please bring back the calabrese???!!!

This was a nice Pizza Express near the Cathedral with friendly staff. We received a free garlic bread just because they served my original one early which was very kind of them.

Very short staffed at the weekend. We had reserved a table, while other potential customers were getting turned away. The main course and dessert took over 2 hours, though we were warned of a delay on our arrival.

The service received was superb!- Very happy with the quality of food and will definitely be returning. Special thank you to Wendy and Connor for making it a lovely experience!!

Came in on a busy Saturday in half term, despite not having a booking Enzo was so friendly and managed to find us a lovely table. The food and drinks were both so lovely and Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing time!

Great restaurant with friendly staff, quality food & drink, and fast service in a beautiful spot just by Exeter Cathedral.

Food was delayed an hour. Waiter couldn’t help but smile and the manager did nothing but explain it takes 10 minutes for a pizza to cook in the oven. Excuse was they were busy. Other tables had their order delivered well before ours. Not recommended.

Drove 3 hours to meet my mom and take her for a birthday meal, I booked as I appreciated it might be busy given being half term. We were advised it was a 40mim wait for food which was not a problem, we were placed in a quieter spot for couple and adult dinners which we appreciated. We were waiting 1hour and 20mins for our food and 30mins for drinks. We were told our food would be 5 mins for about 20 minutes and then told by the manger it would be another 10 minutes which turned into 20. When food arrived it was stone cold and we were openly told by waiting staff that we had been forgotten about whilst others who arrived after us were served within 20 minutes. I have eaten here before and had a great experience so booked again and having worked in the industry appreciate its hard when you're busy. Didn't appreciate the lack of honesty and communication by staff. Would avoid during busy periods like schools holiday/christmas markets to avoid same disappointment as we experienced today.

A good place to hangout with friends! Really nice food options and lovely service each time :) Been served by Adam when I visited on Saturday. Had a really enjoyable service. Also another waitress gaby made sure that we were comfortable and happy.

My go-to pizza restaurant in Exeter. Lovely setting with views of the cathedral. They are brilliant at catering for gluten free (Coeliac UK accredited) and service is always great. Wendy (the manager) is fab!

We visited Pizza Express on the 26th October, the service was incredible despite being completely rushed off their feet. Our server, Oscar was so patient as we are very annoying as a group, he suggested options to put on our Pizza, excellent experience and the lady manager went above and beyond also and clearly supported her front of house team to be incredible!

The staff were pleasant, but it was a busy Friday afternoon, so quite long gaps waiting for food to arrive at the table. Don’t like the new menu, why has the Calabrese Pizza been removed?

My friends and I had a great experience at pizza express. Not only was the food very nice and fast to arrive, the service was impeccable. We were served by Adam, who was constantly checking to see how we were getting on and was very chatty and friendly.

Wanted to say a massive thank you to Wendy and the team for the exemplary service this evening. Phone through for an order to collect with a couple of amendments required and Wendy couldn't be more helpful. Warm welcome upon arrival and nothing was too much trouble. Without doubt the best Pizza Express experience!

Had a day out in what I think is a chilled out good vibe city, Exeter. After a fair amount of shopping my wife and I needed food, we looked at The Ivy but then smelt that beautiful fresh pizza smell….Pizza Express next door …not only was the food super fresh and hot (tip..try the polenta chips) but the service was absolutely fantastic, full of food and full of smiles when we ate and when we left, big thanks to Enzo our front of house server and to Wendy (manager) for a fun time, friendly and knowledgeable and I must say very hard working, great team spirit…..well done “WEnzo” x

Came for dinner with the family, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming! Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were so attentive and great with my 1 and half year old nephew! Especially the manager Wendy. It made it a great experience for us! Will most definitely be coming back.

We were a group of 11 and we had Adam H as our waiter. He was absolutely amazing, a great server, and always was happy to help us out with every need. He was also very funny.

Warm, characterful pizza express on the Cathedral square. Met by a miserable host and taken to our table which was a very pleasant space with a curtain to separate our area. Service was friendly and they dealt with questions about allergies and deals on the app efficiently. It took a while for the pizza to arrive and mine could’ve been warmer but a quick blast in the oven was offered that I declined for fear of starvation and the vegan romana was otherwise tasty and reasonable value taking advantage of an app offer.

Sinead was really helpful today and food was unbelievable. Will be back again next Monday with a bigger group!!

Good food and friendly efficient service.

The staff are always really friendly and if you download the app, the food is reasonably priced. The food is alright - I love the classic dough balls but they are always uneven sizes and some of them are overcooked. There is a lack of pizza cutter and for a pizza restaurant you wouldn’t expect this to be an issue.

I am a delivery person and regularly receive orders from Burger PIZZA EXPRESS Unfortunately, the staff at this branch consistently show inattention and lack of urgency when preparing orders. I am often left waiting for long periods of time and the staff do not seem interested in helping me or processing orders efficiently. This lack of professionalism directly impacts my ability to deliver food to customers promptly. I hope this issue can be addressed to improve the quality of service for both customers and delivery staff. Thank you

We went to Pizza Express, Exeter today. Just wanted to thank Wendy and her team for the best pizza we’ve had in a very long time. Excellent service in spite of them being short staffed. Would recommend.

My wife and I had an awesome time at Pizza Express, Exeter last night. My wife is neurodivergent which means that going out to busy, noisy restaurants is very stressful for her. Sinead kindly gave us a quieter table. However, when a big party moved in, Oscar, another waiter, intervened and moved us discreetly to a calmer spot. She also loved her gluten-free pizza. The restaurant has a really positive relaxed vibe; the bathrooms are pretty spotless too. We will be definitely returning. And, I couldn't forget the lovely manager, Adam. Thank you!
