This is one of the best kebab houses in Exeter, and my local first choice for a kebab. There is 1 better currently, but it is dine-in, and a lot more expensive. The staff are good, they learn what you, the customer want, just be clear, and they will do it for you. Good portion size, hot, not so greasy, so you can pick up the pita bread. I don’t agree with some of the reviews here, be nice to them, call them if you have a problem, I have only had one cold kebab here in 4 years, and I called them up and they said sorry, come back up, and they made it again, plus some extras. You really couldn’t ask for more, thank you Mega kebab

Very bad food! Felt sick for hours after a kebab. And getting th food in person is just horrible! As staff make you feel very unwelcome and have a disgusting attitude to you. Never again and I would avoid!

I ordered my delivery was 30 mins late my food was horrible quality I ordered through Uber eats and there was no delivery updates food was terrible I usually get food from here all the time but it was terrible and so was customer service Uber eats told me to contact the restaurant for delivery updates as one of the kebab shops drivers where delivering every time I called no answer I do not recommend and my chicken was also pink in the middle don’t spend your money here

Note: I had put a negative review here, but that related to Orca Kebab that used to be linked to this page. Mega Kebab on Sidwell Street is the best kebab shop this end of town. Consistently tasty kebabs, fresh veg, generous portions and nice chaps.

Delivery driver refused to bring my kebab to my door, when he eventually did, he stamped on it and threw it at my girlfriend because he had to walk up a flight of stairs. I complained to the shop and 10mins later the driver called me back, threatening me and telling me he knows where i live. Absolute madness, would not recommend!

Normally love the kebabs 4 star. However Saturday night ordered two for home delivery. Received on route notification, so I left my flat and proceeded to the foyer , looking forward to my meal. No delivery. About 15 minutes later driver phones again. He is sat in the street, not even in car park at front of building. By the time we locate him return to flat food is cold , wife threw hers away. Never had this problem before , but will definitely consider other options if home delivery is classed as the nearest lamppost to my home.

Money they ask for doesn't match what's on the board. And it's disgusting anyway

You have to spend £16 in order to receive a delivery. You then have to pay £9 on top of that for delivery… it makes no sense. If you have a minimum amount for delivery then you should not be charged extra. What’s the plan, to send it on a helicopter? Definitely not worth a stone cold kebab.

I went to mega kebab yesterday... The man serving was so rude arrogant & aggressive he was slamming people's food on the side shouting etc he was an absolute joke... The other 2 guys were ok they seemed stressed but wasn't rude if I was them I would of walked out.

Ordered at 1am on my night shift, confirmed order and I'm sat here sat 2:33 still waiting... store closed and left my order, and now every restaurant is closed... absolutely appauling survice

Absolutely disgusting service. Was told that food would be within the hour. When it was 15 mins late I called to get an update and the person swore at me saying it will be ready when it's ready. Then told about 20 minutes. I called back half hour later only to be told if I want to cancel I should cancel otherwise just bloody wait. I will not be ordering here again!

Genuinely used to be my favourite place but I can now genuinely say I will never order again. From the worst portions of food I've seen to sky high prices. The driver told me he had arrived way before he had, leaving me waiting at the door and then refused to get out of his car and dangled my food from his window today and the food I received is beyond sub par. Overtime this place has deteriorated and this is where we are. Save yourself some money and order from elsewhere (and nicer food). If you do order, better put your shoes on as they won't bring it to your door! GO ELSEWHERE. **And my chips were super soggy.

First of all, the whole ordering process severely aggravated my Haemorrhoids. And my boyfriend had to sooth the pain by applying cream to my tender, bloated behind. Before I ordered from Mega and Orca Kebab, I attempted to prepare myself a healthy pasta dish including ingredients such as; Lardons, Parsley, Chopped tomatoes etc. Unfortunately my boyfriend projected vomitus directly into the pan mid cook. This ruined my meal which was really frustrating because those lardons were SOOO expensive (Waitrose) PLUS my hamster just died! The idea of sinking my teeth into a delicious Donner really perked me up so I decided to order. 45 minutes later I sought an update on the location of my meal. Unfortunately I was then told that my food had already been delivered. This simply was not the case as I set my watch to alert me when the doorbell was rung as I was watching last week's Loose Women on catch-up (Stacey really spilled some secrets on this one!), defo recommend. A man on the phone informed me that a girl with glasses picked up my order. No girl with glasses lives here! I got laser eye surgery years ago! So did everybody else that lives here (irrational fear of contact lenses). As an avid watcher of Murder she Wrote, I can see that the gentleman on the phone is feeding me porkies. I'd love to give them the benefit of the doubt but I'm going with Angela Lansbury on this one. I don't deserve this mistreatment. I've been through enough. WHERE'S MY KEBAB!

Slightly lost in Exeter whilst looking for my hotel, dinner was getting later and later so I pulled over...”Mega Kebab” A chef's special kebab! Resulted in a bucket of tender really well flavoured meats... marinated Lamb fillet, chicken breast chunks, two really well seasoned shish kebabs spit chicken sliced off the skewer and Donner meat . Together with two pitta bread and a separate container of salad- sweet onions, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage and coleslaw... fantastic!! I have had my fair share of kebabs, and this ranks amongst the top, purely for the taste!! Well done gentlemen!!👍

Really disappointing, the customer service is awful I ordered a couple weeks ago on JustEat and they gave me the completely wrong order! I tried calling them but no one would answer so I left a review because I thought it was pretty bad service, someone from the shop called me back and promised me that the next time I ordered it would be free for messing up my order that never came! Anyway, I called today to order and explained the situation on the phone only to have the guy tell me he didn’t understand and hang up on me! So rude! I’m never ordering from here again!

Mi compañero y yo pedimos 2 kebabs esta noche, ahora normalmente hay muy buenos y sabrosos. Esta noche tenían un olor extraño y extraño y no sabían bien. Intenté ponerme en contacto con deliveroo durante unas horas, pero como el restaurante no terminó el pedido en la aplicación Deliveroo, no pudimos hacer nada. Finalmente nos ponemos en contacto, me dicen que llame al restaurante, así que lo hice, y boom, después de decir 3 minutos de conversación, comienza a gritarme diciendo que todo lo que hay es nuevo y que solo queda un poco. Aquí tengo 2 kebabs intactos porque no quiero enfermarme. Entonces, lo que estoy diciendo es que si quieres un buen servicio al cliente no los llames, solo te culparán y abusarán de ti, no creo que sea la forma correcta de administrar un negocio personalmente. Como le dije al chico por teléfono, normalmente les pido mucho porque son buenos, solo esta vez. Y me molesta porque tengo como 14 libras de comida simplemente sentado allí y tuvimos que gastar otras 15 libras pidiendo en otro lugar. No es difícil pedir perdón y dar un reembolso o incluso la mitad de un reembolso, simplemente algo para que no sea tan malo. Pero les doy 0 de 5 estrellas y no volveré a pedirles

So we had tried food from here before... delivery on time but missing some of the order so had to phone and wait for rest of it. But we thought we would give them another shot wish we hadn't wasted our money. Delivery late and again a meal missing, my sons fish looked like it had been literally battered more than once.and cooked and cooked numerous times. Disgusting wont be using them again if you want to waste your hard earned cash this is the place to go .

Shocking company, basically stolen £21 as they delivered to my old address when I clearly put in my new postcode. Guy On the phone was rude, hung up twice on the phone and told me I won't get my money back and that I had to collect it. Seriously avoid this dump at all costs, terrible place and no interest in customer service, you've seen the other reviews on this place so don't make the same mistake I did, take note.

0 Stars from me, no food and dreadful customer service! I ordered from Just Eat with the food meant to be delivered by 00:30, food hadn't arrived at 00:50 so I called the shop and both myself and my partner were spoken to rudely, we asked for our food or a refund both of which we were denied with no real reason. I asked why our dinner hadn't arrived and was told that we must have been busy and missed the driver, I have no missed calls (I even offered to show a screenshot to prove this) we were sat on the ground floor by the front door all evening, no attempt was made to deliver our food. The whole time I was speaking to someone who shouted at and spoke over me, at one point the man shouted down the phone that I wasn't sat downstairs and I was a liar!! Was shocking to be spoken to like that. I asked why I couldn't have my food as I had paid for it, I went on to say how I've ordered from the shop before and enjoyed meals and not had issues so was confused as to what was going on, I was then shouted at again the man just said no over and over and then told me our doorbell doesn't work, well have a large heavy door knocker... we do not have a doorbell. (Never had any issues with the knocker before I should add) The order was paid for and ordered to the correct address with up to date telephone contact details, I honestly feel as if they simply didn't try to deliver the food. It felt as if I was speaking to someone who didn't care about his customers and who was trying to say anything to shut me up. Shocking service and very upset with how we have been spoken to, the phone call ended by being spoken over and told not to call back and I was then hung up on. Now I'm out of pocket with no dinner and feeling very upset with the way I've been treated. Avoid at all costs, I've never had issues previously but by looking through other reviews I can see that is not an isolated incident. Other meals I have ordered have arrived on time or slightly late and been of a standard taste quality, chips have been cold before.

Absolutely fu***ng discusted going to traiding standards tomarrow i spent£32 on what i thought was realy nice decent quality food but no food turn up half an hour / 45 mins late the pizza was like cardboard the burgurs were sogy and burnt the onion rings were soft and soggy and food lacked respect and preparation hope uget shut down i have all the food on the side and i will be bringing it back tomarrow to get my money back!! Venga aquí mientras estaba en un descanso del trabajo y quería una comida rápida y saludable, así que optó por el kebab de pollo. El kebab crudo se veía bien y luego se cocinaba a la perfección con una carne húmeda y sabrosa. Luego, con una fresca y fresca pita y una generosa porción de ensalada, comí principalmente col roja. Me impresionó mucho lo único que estaba tan hambriento que tomé la foto un poco tarde, pero es una buena señal de que no queda nada.

Absolutely horrific, this place is a total joke, I’m more than let down with how I’ve been treated by them, the manager is cocky and disrespectful the delivery service clearly doesn’t use satnavs or anything as they asked us to come outside and wait for them, curly fries packaging had melted into the curly fries, total joke and if I’m completely honest I know quite a few influential people and I will be spreading the word far and wide about them as they are an absolute let down, I love a good take away and I’ve eaten all over Devon and this by far the worst service worst food and just worse experience, I’m half tempted to take the full bag of food and contact trading standards as they shouldn’t be able to serve this absolute appalling food🤮

I don’t eat many kebabs and I don’t usually leave reviews (although I read them!) but i have just had the best chicken shish kebab ever and felt compelled to write a review as I really do not think the 2.5 rating this place has is justified! My experience has been = very tasty well cooked juicy chicken and fresh salad - prompt delivery within the time stated. Can’t ask for more really can you?

I watched the lady put the kebab meat into the pizza oven to be cooked.. I ate it last night and woke up with really bad belly pain worst place in the world disgusting!! DO NOT BUY KEBABS FROM THIS PLACE!! And also a man in the shop is very flirty with my girlfriend who is a lot younger than him vile he touched her hand on purpose whilst giving her the food!!

We ordered on justeat a 2 mixed donner meat and chips with cheese one large and one small and chicken nuggets and chips it was delivered late and the order was completely wronged got a mixed kebabs and sausage and chips and a side salad!! so we called up and got verbal abuse from the shop worker and was refused a refund or to correct the order disgusting vile people don't order from them!!!!!!

Wish I could give a 0 star experience. Ordered our food online at 00:30 am and were told it would be an hour until delivery. We waited an hour & 20 minutes and then they cancelled our order stating that they were closing soon and didn't have time to cook our order anymore... What a f@$#£*! disgrace of a business, probably dodged a bullet though reading through all of the other reviews of their apparent appalling food quality.

Worst takeaway ever we are actually going to speak to trading standards! The food was late and orders were wrong! The thing that really did it for us was the attempt to try and con us out of extra money for an order which we hadn't received or not visible on the receipt! He also tried to charge us the full price of our meal when it arrived although we actually paid through just eat website and the receipt said order paid!!!!. Complete con worst takeaway ever!

Mega Kebab es mi go-to si me apetece una hamburguesa o unas patatas fritas cursi. El porciones generosas, una buena variedad de salsas, y el personal es siempre cortés en mi experiencia. No olvidemos los precios también son geniales. Aunque hay una plétora de kebabs en la zona no necesita visitar cualquier otra de Mega Kebab.

Awful, delivery was ok - prompt, but the rest was just awful. The quality of the food was dire, i asked for salt and vinegar on the chips for example - not done. The chips tasted reheated or cooked in old oil. The chicken was disgusting as was the kebab and it all went in the bin. Someone on the way home from a pub may find this acceptable, but in truth it was disgusting. I have since learnt that Orca only has a 2 out of 5 FSA hygiene rating - if i had noticed this i would not have ordered at all. Now i have also read the stupid inarticulate comments about customers experiences as well - that says it all, along with the stupid emojis, some of which are 'sleazy' if you are female and awful food, and attitude with the comments as well.
