Pizza La Vita in Exeter

Do not order from here! they are very very slow with making your food and even though they are so slow it even tasted very bad.

Worst takeaway in Exeter. The pizza and onion rings were soggy and greasy. The coleslaw was swimming in a majonaise like liquid and was inedible. Do not buy from this place.

I love La Vita. Best joint of its type this side of the river. No competition for a greasy kebab and mountain of chips on the way home from a night out.

I put the wrong number on my address by mistake so they couldn't find my place. Called up and they sent a replacement and the guy was nice on the phone. Top service 💯

Is this the end of an era? I have been a very happy customer over the years spending well over £800 at La Vita. Tonight I ordered Fish and Chips, (10oz Cod, Chips with lemon wedge) When I opened it, the fish was small, so I weighed it (3.7oz) so I took it back. The guys there told me that they only have that size and have never had 10oz size (which was strange because I have had this before, and it was outstanding) so I advised them to update their website. They cooked me 2 more pieces to make it up. and I went on my way. The 3 pieces of fish were all tail end, with little meat on, over cooked and tasted of old oil. In short, Disgusting! After I asked, it turns out that La Vita had changed hands some months ago, which would explain the meteoric drop in quality. So I am very sad to say that La Vita is now no good and I won't be coming back ever again. RIP La Vita 2016-2023

Received one delivery that was raw dough and this was the replacement order which arrived squeezed. Owner has promised to handmade a replacement but will not answer the phone

We have had takeaway from this company for over 10 years. Great food. Very occasionally they have a busy night and they are later than intended but it is very rare. We used to live in Exeter and now live rurally just outside and they still deliver to us. Great choice of different foods. All great. I highly recommend. Well done Pizza La Vita 😊

Ordered numerous times on this pizza place simply because i loved the pizza. However i ordered recently and i didnt get my drinks , i called them and they admitted it was their fault for not including the drinks. Spoke with weema , she promised that the next time i ordered i will get my drink plus a free drink for the same size. Ordered today again , spoke with someone very rude and kept interrupting me when i speak. Told him about what weema promised me , he said i wont get it. Customer service is next to effin zero. Theyre only after the sales. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Good food but a few items were wrong💀

Over charged my order by £3 by charging delivery twice. When I asked if they could pop in a drink with the order to make up the £3 they said yes and then didn't bother including the drink in the delivery, called up and asked to be refunded and they said no, I'd have to bring it up with the owner in store when ever he's in next (no date available). Poor service, ok food

The best kebab shop in the Exeter area in my opinion. The combination of the hard to beat prices and the str8 up delicious food blew me away. Given two stars for atmosphere because it’s a kebab shop, what do you expect?

Rating as one star. Ordered through just eat multiple times. Never had a problem before until I ordered an X-Large mixed Donner with chips. It came in a small box. I paid £9.95 plus service charge. Tried to dispute and my order wasn't taken seriously. Their reason was different takeaways do different portions. I explained I've ordered multiple times from them.

Great kebab opens at a decent time. Great friendly staff very helpful and full of knowledge on there food which is great. Not really a place that has atmosphere but it isn't really a place you can eat in so not sure how to score

An hour and 45 minutes from ordering, still no food. Tried calling the restaurant for about 15 minutes, and eventually they told me it might take a while to deliver as some roads are closed… they are 800m away and there are no roads closed. It’s a pretty pathetic excuse. And Uber eats? A joke. No help. I’m hungry.

Ordered via Uber Eats at 13:34 after an hour still no food and still no update so rang the shop whoever I spoke to was pretty rude, said it would be with us in 20 minutes, another hour passed still no food rang the shop numerous times and no answer or got hung up on before I managed to speak to someone. Wouldn't bother with this place at all..!!

Awful experience. Places an order then tried to contact the restaurant and no answer after multiple phone calls. Why is this place even open shut it down if you cant give basic customer service.

The kebab meat is absolutely vile and flavourless and it’s not even a salad it was about three pieces of cucumber and a bit of lettuce and one slice of tomato! No!

The chips are rubbish compared to the thick chips la vita used to do! They’re very thin, soggy and can tell there the cheaper option for them. I also ordered thin crust and got thick which I absolutely hate.

Pizza was cold, the driver had so much bass from his pounding music it woke the baby and he laughed about it. Seriously need to consider if we ever use this company again!

Delivery on time but said was out for delivery for 35 minutes before that and food was stone cold by the time we got it! Just finished a 15 hour shift and was my dinner not happy!!

Ordered at 7pm, majority of food arrived around 8:30pm. The food that did arrive was Luke warm at best. Phoned to advise that items were missing from order, no apology & told will give discount next time. Stated we wanted missing items & told multiple different wait times. Phoned 50 mins later to be told it was with the driver. Now 45 mins later still waiting. Rang again, I said hello and was hung up on.the missing items have still not arrived. This is 3 hours and 20 minutes after the initial order. Absolutely ridiculous! Diabolical service, mediocre food at best. We will never order from them again and will advise others not to either.

The chocolate pizza was that crispy and dry it could be a frisbe for the dog 👏

Food arrived and 1 dish has onion on which was not stated anywhere as it said it would only be lettuce cucumber and tomato. I can’t eat onion and so now have nothing for dinner. Phoned the shop and they just wrote down my number and said they were busy!

I’ve been ordering from la vita for months now and normally very happy with the service. I ordered the xl kebab and this time I got the size of a small. I’m not happy with this at all as I paid extra for the larger meal. Also my kebab was not hot.

I got a call at 16:57 from the driver that he was outside . I came down but there was no driver . It appears that he had gone to the wrong premier inn hotel without looking at the address . He called me 40 mins later that he’s lost and the restaurant has cancelled my order . I called the shop for them to tell me my food has come back and has been sent back out . I recieved the food at 18:05. Really annoyed and upset . Shop is blaming driver and the driver is blaming the shop . Please get back to me on this matter as I use your app on a regular as I travel for work .

Serious, I order the Lasagne and or Bolognese every-time and every-times it’s seasoned perfectly! It’s freshly made no microwave jobs here!! Apart from my own it’s the best I’ve ever tasted the proportion/ratio of pasta, Sauce and meat is spot on. Hats off to whoever makes it. :) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I ordered it and my food was with me literally within 15 minutes so I knew the food wasn’t fresh there’s no way they could cook a spaghetti Bolognese from scratch and do all the other food and get here within 15 minutes! The spaghetti Bolognese was horrible and for £8.50 I expect something decent It was just tomatoes on top of pasta and a few specks of cheese. Ridiculous.

All food was stone cold, the cheese was not melted either. Will never return here again. Disgusting food.

Used la vita for years, this time I sould have had two pizzas and a kebab, ended up with a kebab and omelette?????????

The food was delivered with in the time window which was good. The guy who gave us the food was well mannered and polite However I ordered an X-large kebab and there was unfortunately hardly any meat on it. The burger I ordered had more kebab meat than the kebab itself. The taste of the food was fine, just really upset with the size of the portions.

Honestly, today was probably the first time we’ve had any kind of problem with La Vita - a takeaway we use regularly. But they way they dealt with it means they still get a perfect review. Other takeaways could do well to learn from this. We ordered one burger and two pizzas. The food arrived slightly early, and it was hot. Only issue was that some of the pizza toppings had been put on the wrong pizza. No big mistake, these things happen. Sadly, it meant my wife’s pizza was covered in mushrooms, and she hates mushrooms! Made a call to the guys at La Vita and explained. The chap on the phone was polite and friendly. Apologised, double checked the order and asked whether, if he had the pizzas made correctly and sent straight out, if we would be happy to return the original ones. No biggie - proves we’re not scammers after free food! Replacements arrived double quick, correct, and hot. Well done La Vita. So many other places would’ve made a fuss or made things worse, but you handled it like pros!

Had an allergic reaction after eating the food even though I stayed I had a shellfish allergy

I stated I had a shellfish allergy, but still got a allergic reaction from the food which was a mixed kebab. I don’t think they read the notes or take cross contamination very serious.

Placed an order just for one kebab at 18:30 and Uber Eats gave an estimated delivery window of 19:10 to 19:30. Had to call the restaurant 3 times for an update before someone answered. It eventually arrived at 19:45. It was cold, and almost completely tasteless. This place has gone all the way downhill, won't use again.

I usually don't leave bad reviews as they can easily affect a business, but clearly the one that follows is well deserved (and one star is even too many) : I ordered a 12" pizza and got a 9" one instead. There was an offer to get a 2nd identical pizza for an extra £1.50 but instead I got some barely cooked dough with a bit of tomato sauce and cheese on it. The pizza themselves were tasteless (probably due to the ridiculous quantity of salt on both), the dough was soggy. I tried to call the restaurant before complaining to Deliveroo, the person hung up the phone on me after a few seconds. Thankfully Deliveroo refunded the whole order. Don't waste you time and money in that restaurant, Exeter has plenty of nicer pizza restaurants !

Myself and my very good friend decided to have takeaway from La Vita. When it finally arrived over an hour and half late the box was dripping with grease and all the salad was wilted! I've had 2 mouthfuls and refuse to eat anymore! I've seen dog food look more appetising than this this big pile of gloop! When I asked for a replacement I was told that the shop was closed and that I needed to contact just eat! Avoid this Establishment they obviously don't care about customer service

Hi I ordered this takeaway at around 1.15am and was promised delivery between 2.20-2.40am. It ended up arriving at 3.20am by which time we no longer wanted the takeaway after waiting more than 2 hours for a pizza and chips. We tried contacting the restaurant directly but there was consistently no answer. Due to the incredibly poor service, please can you provide me with a full refund for this order? Regards Gemma

Me and my partner thought we would order something for tea! We ordered spaghetti bolognese but we got a carbonara instead which my partner and I hate! We ordered cheesy chips and we only received plain chips! My burger was not cooked properly! The entire order was incorrect! It’s disgusting! £25 is a lot of money wasted on food that was not correct and it’s was vile! I want a refund immediately!

Great pizzas- much better than the big chains. Total bargain if you buy two. Home made lasagne lovely and a huge portion. I have not had a Donner kebabs for years but these are big and stuffed with salad and meat- fantastic!
