My wife & I had booked this to pay a visit before the boxing last Saturday. The booking said it would open at 5pm so we turned up at 6:10pm to be told it was closed! I then asked the polite ladies at the entrance if it was really only open for 1 hour that night and they laughed and said yes. All a bit of a waste of time for 1 hour! Don’t bother wasting your time.

Ok place for a sit and a drink before the show, but food is completely rubbish. Sound quality from the stage is not good either.

Had a lovely experience enjoying the Sky Backstage Lounge before seeing Billie Eilish on the 16th June. Didn’t have to queue to get into the bar itself and they had some special cocktails which were inspired by the artists songs which was cool! Speedy service, a relaxed atmosphere and nice staff, definitely a very different concert experience than I’ve ever experienced before! Cocktails were on the more pricy side but then again, it’s matched/ if not cheaper than the venue prices, but were tasty and presented really nicely. As well as this, they had free photo opportunities and cute glitter for the face which made the experience even more special. For a free experience, I would definitely recommend coming in here, even if it’s to have a look around!

Was thinking this wouldn't be worth it given some of the reviews but booked this in 2019 and so thought we'd give it a go ahead of Queen concert. Honestly can't see what the moaning is about. Fair enough we didn't have any food in there but it was a quiet space to sit and chat away from the throngs of people. And it was free. Genuinely can't work out why people are complaining. What do you want for nothing???

Booked two tickets for the VIP bar for before the Diana Ross concert, arrived about 6pm and went straight in. Yes the bar gets busy, maybe they should have had more bar staff on? But the people hosting were friendly and a good laugh. Drinks are expensive, but its the 02 so you should expect this, we sat on the bar stools down from the main bar and were delighted to hear Diana doing a sound check!! You can’t see and don’t try, as the security will ask you not too…all in all a good experience and will definitely book again. Thanks Sky!

Being a sort of "freebee" due to having a Sky TV account I booked 4 tickets for friends and I to have drinks and something to eat prior to the Queen concert. Having read the reviews I thought this was a nice little perk to avoid the crowds and grab a bite in relative comfort. Unfortunately about a thousand people also thought the same and the place was absolutely rammed. Having arrived early we decided to go back out to the main arena ground floor and eat at a restaurant instead however, having left the Sky lounge we were told by the security staff that if we did go downstairs we would not be allowed back in. Given the arenas fast food and drink stalls in front of us were all very busy we ventured back up to the Sky lounge and just waited it out. The bar was three deep and took an age to get served, very expensive and we had no where to sit. Thankfully by the time the food was ready at the "pick up point" some people had left to take their seats in the arena and we got a table to quickly scoff it down before being asked to leave as they were closing. The food itself was over cooked, of poor quality and not worth the cost. Its a shame the staff asking us to leave weren't as keen to actually serve customers in the hour or so we'd been waiting before the show otherwise this review may have read slightly differently. Had this not have been a "freebee" ( I appreciate it really isnt as I pay a fortune for Sky's services" ) I'd have been further disappointed but Sky maybe just need to limit access going forward as had we missed out we'd have happily eaten elsewhere.

Somewhere away from the crowds at least. This was our first visit and I was rather underwhelmed. There was a variety of seating and two bars one for hot drinks and one for cold. If the aim was to be like an airline business lounge it fell well short of any lounge I've been in. Only positive was the staff who worked so hard to make us feel welcome. So, considering the profits Sky make out of us I would love them to invest more in upgrading thud facility to give it some wow. Better seating. Smarter decor and some free canapes please.

We visited whilst going to watch Royal Blood . You need to book this in advance through Sky VIP abs it came up fully booked . But when we got there about 6.30pm it looked like they were letting people in on day . We showed our Qr code and got in quickly Lots of stairs to climb up . We waiting a little while then tickets checked went through security. Upon on entry photos massage available . The area is big but as others said not enough seating we were lucky to find table on lower deck . Bar wait not great over 10 mins to order food and drink and they need both bars open . Food was not long wait a buzzer let’s you know . It’s overpriced food but not bad burgers and chips and hot dogs . Main advantage I see is you get access then straight in to arena so that is good . Overall not bad for nothing from Sky before a event

First and PROBABLY last time using Sky VIP Backstage, certainly not a VIP experience. We arrived and had to wait more than 15 minutes in a queue - also we booked in advance (early January) only to find out people in the queue in front of us were booking that second to gain entrance - and yes they do state first come first served on the website as they over-book - but still. We had an 80 year old in our group but be aware there are a lot of stairs to climb, there is a lift - but nobody pointed this out to us - and this is listed online (in small print). We had to wait a long time for drinks as there were only 2 people working behind the bar - thankfully the backstage area wasn't too busy. Finally 30 minutes before the concert began toilets were closed and we were directed downstairs to use the arena toilets which understandably had long queues. All in all not a VIP experience, drinks are very expensive, we didn't try the food but we did hear complaints from other guests that it was slow to serve, cold when served and again expensive. My advice would be - book one of the restaurants at the O2 for a comfy pre-concert meal/drink, or book the O2 BlueRoom.

Definitely a good perk of Sky membership. Nice bar with small queues. Lucky to get a table and was a good place to relax before the concert. Food came quickly but was overpriced. Burger very poor but fries good. Drinks also expensive but to be expected.

Arrived at the O2 and got into the Sky backstage area relatively easily. Once we got to the bar area we found no where to sit even though doors had opened 10mins earlier. Queues for the bar were 4 people deep. I ordered some food after queuing for approx 25 mins! The person who takes the food order also poured our drinks so obviously the queues were getting bigger behind us. All the seats were taken so my 75 yr old Mum had to stand and eat her food which I thought was extremely poor. The food was reasonable but extortionate prices for what you got. To be honest I wouldn’t recommend this, you’re better off eating in one of the many restaurants around the O2. Sky must be making a killing from this charging those prices. Too many people in a small area and no where near enough seating!

Got backstage passes for Stereophonics - got to the O2 about 6.15pm and walked straight in - no queue just security check. This then gives you access into the venue after without queuing again. Was busy inside but we managed to find a seat - much bigger than I thought it would be. Staff were friendly and efficient - had some drinks (nice cocktails!) and some food, this was much better than I was expecting. Came up quickly and piping hot, they give you a buzzer to collect your food when ready. Good place to go if you want to get away from the craziness of the bars and restaurants at the arena - definitely recommend this for anyone taking children. They had some fun things to do to keep you entertained too. We left when we heard the support act come on. Food and drink isn't cheap but where is at the O2?We enjoyed it, would go again.

We did this for a matinee showing of Disney on Ice. We were impressed, you get a free photo and there is a bar with free water. Loads of things for kids to do. The only downside is, it was my birthday and a member of staff was rude because I wanted a tiny bit of face paint. I may have just turned 28, but as Walt Disney said, growing old it mandatory but growing up is optional. Considering it took 30 seconds and there were just two children behind me. I honestly didn’t see that the issue was.

I felt compelled to write this review given all the unfair/ bad reviews I have read on here. I booked this expecting the worst!I went to see Disney on ice at the o2 in December, and this was a fantastic way to enter the venue!I’m not sure what people expect from a free perk, but i went with 2 small girls and they absolutely loved it.Having ‘checked in’ at the sky desk, you go up a set of stairs to a landing where your kids can try out as tv presenter in a sky studio as well as have their pics taken as football players - all free that you can download via the internet. Then you go up another set of stairs where you are in the lounge. The kids got free face painting and then another free pic.The staff were very friendly and the lounge was a very nice place to sit down and relax before the start of the show.Yes the food was expensive- £3.50 for a 330ml can of coke! £5 for a tiny portion of fries! - But this was expected, so we ate and drank before we went in to the lounge. The idea that everything should be free when people are given access to this lounge for free is ridiculous and more ridiculous they are complaining about a freebie!!The lounge itself was was stylish, and food and drinks are available- though we didn’t get much given the price! The queues to try face painting were the longest- 25min wait - queues for other things were much shorter. We also found no difficulty in finding somewhere to sit down - though I do suspect the event you are attending at the o2 may affect whether you find seating or not.Otherwise, go with a balanced set of expectations as well as reasonably early to avoid the rush and longer queues and you and your kids will enjoy the experience!!

We booked this for the Brad Paisley gig. There was no queue to go up, lots of steps (not sure if there's an accessible entrance, you'd hope so), and the staff at the entry point seemed rather disinterested. Once upstairs, the space was really crowded - not very exclusive really. Not enough places to sit, lots of people sitting on the floor. There were some 'experiences' - a hand and arm massage with a very long queue, a strange 'Forever Room' (mirrors, headphones, film clips) and a braid bar. I waited in line for a braid (about 10-15 minute wait), and had a fantastic braid done by Samantha, who was enthusiastic, friendly and made sure she did a lovely job for everyone she looked after. A nice unexpected freebie, which was the highlight of the lounge experience. The bar itself was nothing special. Bright, crowded, expensive. I can't comment on the food as we didn't order any. It would have been nice if they'd matched the music to the genre of the concert to get everyone in the mood, instead of bland background music.

You enter through a separate access, where you are seached and show your concert tickets as normal, but without the manic queues or shoving. You then enter the bar area, where there's plenty of seating, and no crowds for a drink. Food is the basic pizza and burgers etc, but very nice and decent value considering the surroundings. With the bar opening an hour before the arena doors. We arrived 15mins before the 5.30pm opening time to join the queue. This queue did not move until well after 5.30pm. With security of one man checking and 3 watching him work. The Bar area and dining room are well set out and look fantastic shame this is where it ends. The management of the venue need to train bar staff on drinks.. and I mean basic drinks.. how to pour a pint.. how Disaronno/Ameratto are the same thing.. how that when you purchase a G&T...; ice and garnish are standard pouring etiquette. Also a standard small bottle of tonic is required. If Sky are so short of funds that they tell bar staff to only pour put of a bottle and keep the rest for another customer then dont run a bar. For a pre bookable venue. There was no management of numbers and there were queues for everything from the "free photo", the bathrooms and the biggest queue was at the bar.

After reading very mixed reviews I decided to book myself a ticket as I was attending a Take That concert by myself and didn’t really want to walk around the O2. I made sure I arrived at 5.30pm and there was already a short queue forming inside. Beware- if you are unsteady on stairs then this may not be suitable as there are lots of stairs to go up. Once through security there was lots of activities going on, face painting and mini beauty treatments among them. The bar prices I thought were reasonable and there was a god range of drinks although I found the special cocktail far too sweet. There is food if you want, pizza and chips etc or bar snacks like olives and nuts. The only reason I have not given 5* is because I was disappointed that SKY did not offer a WiFi service here, bit odd from a company that provides it.

Register in plenty of time to guarantee entrance. A valid ticket for a show and SKY backstage passes needed to enter. Photos on entry, hand, arm massage, makeup, cocktails, comfy seats, mood lighting. As entrance to the area is limited it didn’t feel claustrophobic and much easier to get drinks than the bars outside. The downside, four flights of stairs to get entry (maybe 5?). Not sure if there was a lift. It opens an hour before the doors open to the show, worthwhile getting there early to take full advantage.

Myself and a couple friends saw Post Malone on his world tour at the O2 on the 13th and to try and avoid the business of all the ques. I decided to book the Sky backstage lounge passes for us all which was surprisingly easy and free. Staff quick at getting the que down and having to do your security before entering is nice as with the lounge you are given early access which is very handy if you have standing tickets. We managed to get right to the front without even really trying and this was even after I made a mistake when printing tickets and managed to take the same ticket twice oops :/ luckily the sky backstage team were so helpful telling me how to fix my error and letting me straight back in without needing to que again. This sadly meant I missed out on some of the enjoyment of the lounge as I was running around trying to sort my ticket however once inside and with my friends we had a welcome drink , free photos taken which we were given, my companions also had some glittery makeup done for them whilst they waited for me to join them. I did have a couple drinks before we went in sadly we couldn’t find anywhere to sit which was a shame and the drinks fairly expensive but slightly cheaper then around the rest of the arena however our place in the crowd and staff more then made up for that. Also had time for a pizza there which was very nice. Menu basic but ok to soak up the drinks lol. One thing to be aware of is there are loads of stairs - so if you struggle ask for the lift.

Curtains remained closed during the build up to the gig... We asked why they are not opened... The answer was that the production crew only open them on a Thursday... Could of been good to watch the support band from up there....

Useful place to go for a not too cheap drink. Prices are high venue rather than normal bar prices, though that’s to be expected. It can get quite busy and fill up, with somewhat limited seating feeling more like an airport lounge, almost enough but not quite.

Very enjoyable experience. Very comfortable seating, no queues at the bar, friendly and helpful staff. Prices on a par with the rest of the venue.

Its nice, but not worth the many many stairs you have to walk up, it's an expensive bar, so what? There's a bar and a restaurant. The staff are nice, but certainly not worth it. Suppose you could say it's free from Sky and guess that's a bonus as I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it. Save your legs and go to the Wetherspoons before the sjow

We had heard negative reports but we must have struck lucky. Went to see ELO and went into Sky Bar. It was busy but not packed. A barman told me that we had picked a good night. Sometimes it is 4 deep to the bar. £8.50 for glass of wine but I guess that is average for the 02. It was a very civilised way to start a very nice evening

Saw Michael McIntyre Saturday night and had got some free Sky Backstage tickets through Sky VIP. After reading all the negative reviews I admit to being nervous going here vs other bars around the O2 but we (group of 4) had a great time. The concert was a sell out but Sky Backstage wasn't crowded so very relaxed, no ques to get in or at the bar, bar staff were efficient yet chatty, food service was quick and, unlike restaurants outside we felt no pressure to eat and go. Yes, food / drinks aren't cheap but prices are no worse than elsewhere at the O2 and food quality is just as good as other bars, albeit range is basic.

Check the time it opens if you can, we were told an hour before the arena doors, which would be 16.00 but on the day it didn't open until 17.00, so a little hanging around. Surprised how long the queue was and how slow entry was but once through security check we were welcomed to the Sky Backstage by friendly staff. The free photos and glitter face painting was great just before the BTS concert. We were surprised how quiet the room was and service from the bar was very speedy as was food preparation. We ordered a couple pizzas and chips, which arrived in around 15 mins and were tasty. Prices are a little high but I'd expect that from a concert venue.

We arrived early as thought it would be a busy night. There were lots of stairs-so check beforehand if need lift access as lots of renovations happening. Check in process was fast and efficient-bag check/walk through metal detector. We entered and were surprised at the number of guests-the ticket states that it's limited, but it was rammed. People were queuing for a free hand massage, and the queue at the bar was about four people deep along the whole length. After fifteen minutes of waiting to be served, we looked around and could see that we would have nowhere to sit, or stand without being in the way. We went through to the arena, walked up to the nearest bar and got served immediately. I wouldn't bother with sky backstage again, and have cancelled ticket we had for a future concert. Yes its free entry, but they let far too many people in, and the bar staff were clearly under pressure. Goodness knows how long it would have taken to order and get food-if you liked standing up to eat it.

This is a VIP offer to attend for Sky Customers. It is quite a interesting place with lots to do and a cocktail bar which gets extremely busy. I personally found it a bit pricey and the cocktails were rather small for the price. However, the food was lovely, we had the chicken with fries and salad and it was succulent and tasty.

The lounge supposedly opens an hour before the Arena doors, this should have been 5.30 in our case.at 5.30 we had our ticket scanned at the entrance and was directed to a queue, which wasn't moving, extending up some stairs, eventually after 10 minutes we moved and got halfway up the first flight of stairs where we had to wait again, eventually went up another flight and were held again, and again we went up the next flight and were held again. We finally got to the top of the, probably 4 flights of stairs, and were passed through the security to, in effect, enter the actual arena, so be aware once in you could not then leave the actual arena and come back. (this process had taken maybe 20 minutes) Directed to the lounge, at the entrance there was a facility to have a photo taken and they were also doing some glitter make up. The lounge is reasonably large but does get very crowded but as we were relatively early we found a table easily and the bar wasn't busy. As everyone has said the drinks are very expensive, but you are inside the arena so it is more expensive than using one of the many outlets available before going through security and ticket check. £37 for a glass of red wine, a gin and tonic and 2 chicken nugget type things with chips and coleslaw. The table next to us had pizza's which looked and smelt very nice. The chicken was nice but the chips were those awful fried liquified potato things which are peddled at places like McDonalds and had to be eaten with what felt like balsa wood knives and forks. The place got very crowded but was lit atmospherically and the bar staff seemed to cope reasonably well. Interestingly on the drinks menu it advertises wine by the bottle although they won't actually give you the bottle, you either have to get them to empty into a number of glasses, or they will pour a glass and then when you want a refill you have to go back, which with a busy bar, is a bit of a faff.

Access to the Sky Backstage Lounge was prebooked as a Sky customer. It opens an hour before the venue and we entered at 5:30 and quickly found seats and ordered food and drinks. Not unreasonably priced for drinks and food based on your location in London. food was good too with reasonable choices. Minor gripe is you appear to literally be behind the stage and there is "noise" from the soundcheck and support bands, but not too intrusive. Overall a great free perk to allow you to relax before a gig without the mayhem of the main area outside the venue especially on a Saturday night. We will definitely do it again when visiting the O2.

The sky backstage bar really made our night. We hadn't been to the O2 before but am glad we had our pass. The bar made it relaxed and welcoming we didn't even feel we were in a venue with 20k people. The staff were great anyone you saw were willing to answer any questions and help. The prices are what you'd expect and the good was actually really nice. Overall for a free perk this is well worth doing. I will definitely do it again when visiting the O2.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was in this lounge. Yes the prices are higher than going to a pub in your average UK town, but what do you expect? The prices were still cheaper or comparable to the arena prices. The food wasn't fantastic but it was okay, however the best part about it was the relaxing atmosphere and being able to sit on comfortable seats not the folding seats amongst the masses, for that I would definitely say it was very good and would go against next time.

Nice staff, appalling crippling prices. If you like heavily marketed beer it may be for you. Probably the poorest selection of beer I have seen in years. Sky should be careful it was a laughing stock for the prices.. sorry... nice staff awful management

The sky bar is a great place to go pre concert. We were there for the Iron maiden concert and the bar was extremely busy so we had to queue for a while for drinks! Staff in there are so friendly and helpful. Drinks are expensive, but that’s the O2 for you, same prices everywhere within the venue. Always a great atmosphere in the sky bar gets you in the mood for your concert!

Visited the Sky Backstage before watching Queen & Adam Lambert. Nice enough environment, very welcoming staff, but in getting there an hour before the show there was no seating. We didn't try any of he food, drinks were good but a bit expensive even for this part of the world. The best bit for us was avoiding the general public entry point as you have access direct to the O2 venuefrom the Sky Backstage area once you leave.

The sirloin beef was excellent, and the vegetable cook produced perfect freshly cooked vegetables to go with the meal (no English mustard?). The restaurant was clean and the view is amazing. Nonetheless, the best meals are served by good waiters. I felt sorry for our waitress who had so obviously received totally inadequate training; we had to ask for a drinks menu. It was about twenty minutes before the wine I ordered arrived at our table. After our meal had been served, no one came to ask if everything was OK, (and it wasn't a busy day). we had to wait ages for our plates to be cleared and again when we wished to order our desert (As, I noted, did our neighbouring table). The pleasant atmosphere was somewhat spoiled by rather loud Musac. This was a rather harsh noise coming from the speaker above our head, completely tuneless and utterly pointless. If you feel the need to put a noise through the speakers, please make it relaxing. And tuneful would be nice!

I booked Exe Restaurant for my Birthday dinner with twelve of my friends. After visiting the first time for a Sunday and receiving such amazing food and service, I knew we had to book it for my 25th Birthday. We had the most amazing evening, the food and service was impeccable. They even went to the extra effort of decorating the table and making it feel super special for my friends and I. Thus is one of my favourite restaurants in Exeter and if your looking for somewhere where the food is amazing and you feel really well looked after this place is for you. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. They really do go that extra mile so thank you so much for having us. We can’t wait to come back.

Friendly staff, you need to download the app to order food. I was too hot inside, it wasn’t a cold day so a little too cosy for me. I think you can tell the standard of a place by the toilets and these weren’t good. The toilet doors do not fit and once I’d slammed it shut I struggled to get it open. Wasn’t really clean and smelt a bit in the corridor. Food itself was ok but £11 for a BLT I thought was expensive - it came with vegetable crisps but apart from that was just a sandwich. The fish sandwich was bigger and a pound cheaper.
