Not as good as others I've been to. As usual it has the unique style. For once no search party was needed if I got lost coming back from the toilets. It's a spacious building with plenty of seating if the tables are cleared of dirty plates and glasses. Food arrived within 15 mins but portions were much smaller than another Wetherspoons I visited recently. Plus food was not as hot. There was quite a lot of drink spillage on the floor making it rather slippery. Apart from that, it was satisfactory.

Came here on Saturday for lunch. Ordered an American cheese burger (my friend had the fish and chips). Burger arrived looking very unappetising (friend commented 'Bet you wished you'd ordered the fish...'), bun was hard on the outside, burger was tasteless, toppings barely existing...all of it was dry, even after I'd added ketchup. Both burger and chips were lukewarm...plate was only just warm. After the last few disappointing meals I've had here, I'm not sure I'll be ordering food again. (Oh, and the woman sat behind me sent her fish and chips back...peas were overcooked, chips were cold...didn't catch the rest...so no, I didn't wish I'd ordered the fish!)

OMG ! It's been a while and it will be a long time before I ever return! Terrible place, let's start with the cleanliness, there isn't any! Tables full of empty glasses, plates and rubbish. Service , was poor and went downhill from there, not enough staff and the one we encountered was both uninterested and rude. Food order was made via the app , no warning of time delays , so 45 minutes after ordering I asked how much longer and was told she didn't know but I could have a refund if I wanted, then walked away ! WOW! £55 for glasses full of ice and a little liquid, needed the ice given it's December. Burgers were burnt, onion rings under cooked , didn't bother complaining given the time we'd already wasted. Seriously, don't bother, terrible place , was a pleasant pub with good atmosphere. It's now a dirty , unfriendly and expensive.

This pub is in a beautiful building, formerly a church, with original features. The drinks are amazingly cheap compared to other places in Exeter. There is an upstairs gallery, an outside garden, other areas at the back. Clean toilets. Best of all there is no music, so you can have conversation without shouting. I don't know why people go anywhere else.

Disappointing. Ordered the tuna cheese melt, poor quality. Bread was tough as old boots, very little tuna and tiny portion. Ludicrously over priced at £6.25! Absolute rip off. The table behind us was full of used crockery and cutlery from the previous diners and was still there when we left. No attempt had been made to clear the table. A bad look , poor hygiene. Waitrose used to be renown for its quality, seems like those standards have slipped.

We have never been to Heavitree let alone heard of this pub!! People we met in Topsham said it was their local and that it was a super pub.....well, we have had an adventure and experienced it first hand. Probably not the best time at 3pm . It was quiet, it was a nice pint, the barman was very friendly but overall it is not our favourite pub. No doubt it gets busier and has a better atmosphere....Nice charity shops in the area though! We will be back to explore this new area more on a busy main artery into the city.....
