Really disappointed after booking for valentines night. We and another couple were the only ones in the restaurant. I was going to have lemon sole but it was off even though it was still marked up on the board. Chose the brie for starter between the two of us. Although it was warm it was still fairly solid in the middle. We were told they had sirloin steak with blue cheese sauce which we both had. The steaks were cooked very well but were full of fat and sinew. The blue cheese sauce only covered about the inch of the steak as there was a tiny jug on the side filled up a third full. It would of been appreciated if as it was such a small jug if it could be filled. The same amount of gravy was served. The really poor aspect of the meal was the service. It wasn't warm or attentive. We chose a bottle of 29.00 malbec. We were given a suggestion of a 70.00 one by the waitress which we found a bit embarrassing. I know it's good for a venue to upsell but perhaps more appropriate was to offer a similar for 10.00 to 15.00 extra not 41.00 extra. After ordering, we waited 15 minutes for our wine. After chasing our waitress we were told that a "new guy had started that day and didn't know what he was doing". The wine was then just dumped on the table with the lid still on. There were no waiting staff in view for most of our meal so it was difficult to complain regarding food and service. We left without paying a tip unfortunately and won't return sadly. It really is a lovely venue but the food and service was lacking for a supposedly special evening.
I had a great breakfast at this café — the bacon, egg, and sausage were all cooked perfectly, full of flavor and served hot. Everything tasted fresh and comforting.
Big shoutout to George, who was really friendly and welcoming. He made the experience even better with his kind attitude and good energy. You can tell he genuinely cares about his work and the customers — a real asset to the team!
Highly recommend this place for a solid breakfast and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Inglés completo - 10. Dos lonchas de tocino, un tomate, un solo hongo, dos huevos y una tostada. No es una salchicha a la vista. ¡Era de buena calidad pero no puedes cobrar 10 por eso!

I had a joint birthday party at the Rising Sun in March and I can't recommend it more! The staff are so lovely, the pub is so cosy and welcoming and they gave us an entire area out the back that can accommodate 40 people for free with no minimum spend! We were able to play our own music and service at the bar was quick and easy. They can cater for you too if you want (we didn't take this offer up but it was well priced). Highly recommend you go, it's a beautiful pub anyway but so great as a venue for a special occasion. Thank you!! Lou (and Phoebs) :)

The golf lesson hosted by Jamie was not good. I’ve booked a 1h lesson but they changed the time to half hour without telling me at the beginning, they only notified me when I hit the ball and I didn’t know why. After that they said they will send me the video recorded at the lesson but I didn’t receive any response. Btw it’s funny that an academy doesn’t have the track technology 🙂↕️. I think the equipment they have is as old as someone haha 🤪
