Exceptional food and drink when we visited. A lovely little place and attention to detail in the flavors was spot on. If you are in Bristol be sure to check it out if you enjoy a variety of veggy dishes, fish and meats and great desserts.

My partner and I went here for a prosecco brunch and we were definitely not disappointed, coming to £35 per person you get a bottle of prosecco each and 3 courses. Portion sizes weren't big but perfect size for brunch. My personal favourite was the "Clifton Seafood Cod", which I would happily go back for again. My partner was a big fan of the truffled Mac n cheese balls for their starter. Both of us were very happy and surprised by how good the freshly baked doughnuts were as well, coming with a little syringe to fill as much as you want. The area being alongside the harbour is very nice and inherently has a warm buzz to it but the place was a little difficult to find with the map failing to pinpoint it, however don't let that be the reason that stops you from stopping here for a bite.

Small good plates for brunch, would recommend to order them to share and try more options from the menu. Friendly staff and nice environment

Really lovely food! The server was friendly but service was very slow. He seemed to be the only one there doing everything. Would definitely recommend and go back though just make sure you go when you've got the time to have a slower dinner. Really good GF and vegetarian options.

Harbour & Browns is settled in the new wapping wharf development in bristol , amongst some fierce competition. A great tapas styled menu with a decent amount of choice between the 4 of us we managed to order everything on the menu , what i would say for the weakest dish was the short rib not tender and quite chewy a real let down… and thats where the criticisms stop . Every other dish we had was delicious a small portion on the scallop being a single small queen scallop … we ordered one each thank god ! The truffle mac and cheese bites were something else a real favourite we also ordered another portion of this ! The lamb rump was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth ! We were served by a fabulous waitress who said she was on her 2nd shift covering here , we couldn’t tell she was an absolute credit. A great dining experience however i would say pricier than most other restaurants in bristol for the amount of food you get definitely not competitive with prices but a lovely meal none the less !

Arrived on spec and managed to get a table in this lovely restaurant in cargo 2 last night. So glad we did, we had a cracking meal. Waiter was super friendly and helpful. We were 5 and asked for a selection of starters and mains to share. He advised us to each have a scallop each though - and right advice -it was the stand out taste sensation, from the starters. The mains selection was delicious; great mix of meat and vegetarian - hard to pick a favourite but cauliflower and broccoli plate possibly pips the others. Rounded off by fresh donuts presented with syringes of salted caramel and crème to fill your own.

Delicious food with well balanced flavours! Even subtle flavours like scallops and white fish were enhanced without being overpowered!! Highly recommended and lovely people!!!

Average with issues. Had the bottomless brunch for a birthday, food was fine but small for the high price. Doughnuts at the end were disappointing as no choice to the sauce so couldn’t eat these, and only one small one per customer. Not possible to get servers attention throughout so didn’t have any drinks the whole time. At the end we were then told all day they’ve had issues with the card reader and not taking anything but cash with no access to a cash point nearby. I left hangry and had to get food and doughnuts elsewhere.

Great small plates of food. It wasn't too busy compared to several of the others in this block. Only issue was I'd ordered beetroot for one dish, and ended up getting beef! An easy miscommunication. Luckily I'm not vegetarian, and I was happy to have the beef instead.

I can't fathom why this little restaurant isn't busier. Had a great meal while watching all the sheep queue for Gambas. I have eaten there too and this was just as good. Low key, great food and a good night out.

I went yesterday for lunch and the restaurant was empty which I thought was a bad sign but I wanted to give it a go and was very disappointing. I had the confit duck leg from the main menù and was like a tapas, super small plate. I paid £17 as this is supposed to be the main course. Never ever again.

Please come to this little offshoot of Brace & Browns! Upstairs at Cargo 2 in Wapping Wharf and right next door to the ever-popular Gambas, Harbour & Browns awaits to serve you delicious small-plate, pan-Continental-inspired food cooked to perfection. And yet, we were the only ones eating last night. Why?! The food is wonderful, the staff are friendly and fun (and equally prepared to keep a respectfully distant quiet eye if that's your preference), and the wine was delicious. Everything is reasonably priced, especially for the quality. What's not to love? We had nibbles of macaroni cheese balls (think arancini but with mac n cheese inside – oh my heavenly goodness!) and nduja croquettes, with a sauce with just the right amount of kick. For our shared mains, we had the beef shin (utterly melt-in-the-mouth, richly delicious), buttermilk chicken (crispy and succulent), baked camembert (oozy, dippable) and yummy parmesan fries. Just the right amount of food for two to leave a smidgeon of room to share the inject-the-filling mini doughnuts for dessert. We loved it. There shouldn't empty tables. Go.

Randomly went in and had a great experience. Sat outside with an amazing view of the sunset over the floating harbour, with the Matthew in front of us. The food and wine were good for the price and the service efficient and friendly.

Interesting ideas on presenting reasonably nice food. Portions are small but with a price that's too high for the quality. Service was nice and polite although due to a lack of communication we were given everyone's desert in 2 bowls (we were a group of 6) given to 2 people who assumed it was just for them and was only informed of this when we asked where the rest was. Unfortunately, I probably won't go back

The bottomless brunch isn’t actually bottomless, it’s one bottle of Prosecco per person. This is disappointing and should be stated one the menu/fine print when booking. Service is a little below average, wasn’t awful but wasn’t attentive or particularly friendly. One of our chairs was a little broken and the waiter challenged us as to why we wanted a new chair. When we first arrived for our pre booked brunch, as it was already somewhat busy the staff almost seemed annoyed at us. It was my friends 30th birthday so it was not a particularly special event based on the staff. Food was lovely and better than other brunches. Shame the service and lack of ‘bottomless’ let it down. Overall I wouldn’t visit again, but did enjoy the food. My advice to management would be to review customer service as it won’t lead to repeat customers as it currently is.

We went for the Sunday Prosecco brunch on the last day of a girls weekend in Bristol! Everything from the decor, the service but most importantly the food was just perfect! I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Expectations were high, we’d viewed menu online and turned up for bottomless brunch on Saturday. The staff were accommodating and very apologetic for the large table of excitable ladies on a hen do. It meant that the first hour of our booking was pretty tough on the eardrums, but the food was lovely (although not the menu published on the website). We were somewhat stunned when informed the bottomless element of the brunch wasn’t bottomless, but the manager did (quite rightly) serve extra Prosecco, albeit with a cautionary warning that it was a one off, and to recompense us for the first hour of our booking. Personally, I don’t think venues of this size can accommodate parties of that nature unless the whole restaurant is booked.

Was really excited to visit for a friend's birthday as the menu looked delicious. Was disappointed when the menu was different from what id seen online, and even more disappointed that the 'bottomless' brunch was blatantly misadvertised. The bottomless brunch allows for one bottle of prosecco per person but there is no detail of this in the fine print on the menu or the website. When questioned the waiter told us he 'couldnt change the menu' but still refused to fulfill the promised bottomless brunch. To add to this it seemed that the focus was not on the food but to get customers in and out as quick as possible. Nice setting but below average food and drink. Disappointed!

Really enjoyable meal and atmosphere. We hired the whole venue and had two long tables of approximately ten people on each. The unit it quite small so I'm unsure how the tables are usually arranged. We received prosecco on arrival, the staff were attentive, the music wasn't too loud, it was quite warm in there but the staff were happy for us to have the door open ajar. My starter was scallops on samphire and it was so tasty. I often find scallops go cold quite quickly but these were hot and delicious. For the main I went with beef, roast potato and veg. The beef just melted away with my fork and was incredibly flavoursome and although it looks a small portion in my picture, it really was the perfect amount. The pudding was two donuts and a toffee, caramel cream which you squeezed in yourself via a syringe. A bit of a gimmick but fun and really tasty. Everything was delicious, well cooked and brought to the table in a good amount of time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely return and would recommend.

A lovely brunch at this cosy spot. Truly excellent value and incredible food. I'd recommend booking because there's not many tables, but definitely worth a visit!

Had a lovely experience. Great service. A technical problem delayed our order by 20 minutes but waiter insisted he would honour the first table reservation. Had a nice hot chocolate while waiting. Really great vegetables. Had King Trumpet mushrooms, romanesque and cavalo nero in mascarpone sauce which was to die for! Beetroot and feta dish was good and leek and sweet corn fritters were lovely too. Dishes are tapas style, waiter recommended 3 each for a good meal and I agree, it was a good amount. Best was the fresh fill your own donuts complete with syringes with a chocolate and a salted caramel sauce filling. Delicious! Would highly recommend.

First visit to Bristol and a Saturday night! Main Broad Quay and Harbourside absolutely packed and very loud. Wanted somewhere quieter for a romantic couple evening. Went to Cargo2. Restaurant fully booked inside, but they found us a nice table outside, with heater and blankets, lovely touch. Tapas meals were varied, nicely cooked, a good size, and left us so full we could not manage a desert. Service good too. Would definitely recommend

Lovely little plates style food. We have the beef rib and the fish tacos and 3 sides of a duck and beetroot salad, Mac and cheese with wild mushrooms and chips with truffle and Parmesan shavings. The Mac and cheese was the best we have ever tasted, the beef rib fell off the bone and the chips were fab. I didn’t particularly like the fish tacos, it was beautifully presented but lacked flavour. They have a wonderful drinks list with loads of fab cocktails. We sat out on the balcony in the early evening sun and it was perfect

The staff were really lovely. They weren’t due to open for another 30 minutes. Seating is limited, even more so because it was raining. The staff were really kind and made me food before they were supposed to open. The short rib was beautiful - really tender and the meat fell off the bone. Had a very lovely date with my boyfriend and the food and cocktails were fab! The vibe is tasty food, cooked well but with a relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly ad attentive. I'd recommend 2-3 plates each for dinner if you're hungry. I had a lovely view of the sunset. Someone was sat at our prearranged table when we arrived. The 'lady' did remove 'them', so we were eventually able to sit outside and enjoy the rays. Much to our disappointment, we were told the processco wasn't 'bottomless', though I was only told this after I had necked the first glass and promised my mate I was on it. Then there was only one duck, even though we both wanted it. So we had to play card roulette for who had the duck. Exploring the area while on holiday, and popped in for traditional Sunday lunch. Great service, saw the chef putting the meals together right in front of us. Delicious, wholesome food created with care and nice respite from cold, wet weather outside.
