Really good, authentic food! Friendly staff, quick service and some of the best rice and peas I've had. Will 100% be back!

We ordered ackee and saltfish with hard food and they delivered rice and peas which I’m allergic to

The last few times I have ordered, things have been changed without confirming this with me. For example, plantain swapped for steamed veg, white rice swapped for rice and peas etc. A quick courtesy call to check this is ok would be sufficient.

Food order was wrong. I didn’t receive all the items and the portion sizes were mixed up on the meal orders. Also there was foil in the goat. Tried to call but no one answered the phone. This is disappointing as I usually order from here and if I have had discrepancies with my order I can usually speak to someone to deal with it. Not happy on this occasion.

So portion size was like a child size and the food quality was below-average like I’ve tasted better from pretty much every other Caribbean food spot poor quality and poor portion size over all 3/10 so 1.5 out of 5

Great food as always, but portions of all the foods were a bit on the smaller side for a large, especially the rice and peas

It was a wonderful experience eating at the restaurant. The service was amazing and prompt, with amazing staff who are very happy and friendly to customers. The food, wow! The food is delicious and you will want to go back every other time.

Nadine was absolutely great. She catered for my mum’s 60th birthday party this weekend! From the start, she was friendly and easy to talk to, making the whole process feel stress-free. She gave us great menu ideas and didn’t put any pressure on us. She traveled all the way to Cardiff for the party and her and team served everything with a smile, which was refreshing to see. The food was delicious, hot and fresh! Every single guest loved it and kept talking about how great it was and the portion sizes were great. We’ll definitely be booking Nadine again and recommending her to everyone we know. Thank you so much for making my mum’s big day so special, Nadine—you and your team were fantastic!

Delicious flavoursome food, highly recommend! The atmosphere was welcoming and super friendly! The coleslaw was amazing, I wish it was twice the size! Will be going back to try more of the menu soon.

Can't comment on the atmosphere as had a take away. The food is incredible though. We had Jerk chicken and Curry goat, both were spot on. The rice n peas with veg was delish too. Lovely young man with a lovely smile served me. The food was on time and easy to order. We will defo be back.

3-11-2024 Not a great experience for the food collected today; waiting over 20 mins for a take away order. When I finally got the home; opened it up only to fine my jerk dinners looks dry First time I’ve had a jerk dinner with NO jerk sauce. Also to be charged an extra £3 for the veg & plantain when it was offered as part of the meal. No word before hand it will be extra until I go to pay.

Received everything I ordered as usual. Unfortunately this time each dish had its own peppery level that when put on the plate everything just tasted of pepper and the plantain wasn't at it's normal standard. that's not my normal my experience with Nadine's. I tend share my food with my kids but they couldn't eat any of it so essentially paid nearly £50 for 1 person to eat. so will need to order something else for them. Nads it's still my fav place to order from. hopes it was a glitch

Still have not received my order now yet it’s saying delivered on the app. The girl can not even tell where my location is and it’s clearly written on the comment section where I am and I keep calling her she can not even understand simple process , give me your ETA she can not comprehend so now am sitting here not knowing if she’s ever going to fine my location. I am so Disappointed. I love the curry goat from here.I buy as often as I can.....but to order through deliveroo I'm paying extra which is fine...but for me to order banana cake for my son ...that he was looking forward to.. for no banana cake.Yes I have been refunded cash wise ...but that doesn't put cake in my sons tummy....He was looking forward to it.. and now I feel so bad I can't enjoy my actual meal. Every time I order something from you, you forget something, you forgot my coleslaw, you have £2 of my money you owe me back, it's not hard to check the order before you send it out, what's wrong with you? Food was good but I spent over £39 and was supposed to get a free banana cake if I spend £25 or more and I still didn't get it after a big spend so disappointed and a low score for that.

Great authentic carribean dishes, great and friendly staff. I had the curry goat and it was absolutely epic, good food and good vibes all round.

Me and my pals are not from Bristol but my friend recently moved here and we used to eat at a Caribbean spot back home. After trying majority of the ones in Bristol and never returning again, this is the spot to go to. Me and the pals ain’t exactly the easiest to serve because we’re lively but the owners son looked after us very well. Food is the best we’ve had in Bristol, the pricing and variety is perfect. My only bad point to make is that I wish I could have this spot in my hometown. Owners son is a credit to the restaurant.

£32 spent and ordered one small fried chicken and one large oxtail and they were both small, but his has happened before and it's not fair you do this, I also left a message to check the order before you sent and you still got it wrong, and why does it ask if the customer wants extra meat when we don't get any more? Also if you run out of hard food don't put 3 bananas in it to make it up, just call the customer. This use to be a good place to buy food but fed up of paying for something I'm not getting, speaking of not getting, that'll be me and your food and your restaurant and my money. ✌🏾

Took a risk and got Deliveroo from Nadine's for the first time for son's birthday and it was all hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Great value and top quality.

Food is absolutely disgusting surely no one buys it 🤢 chicken looking like it been sat there for days ewww curry goat pure fat (80% fat 20% goat) 😢 rice been cooked and left for long all stuck together the only thing decent is the coleslaw! Ordered their oxtail, crazy good n v tender, portion size is so generous, with rice and veg came to about £10 also not too spicy if ur worried about that

This is the only Caribbean restaurant I have ordered from since moving to Bristol in 2021 and it’ll definitely stay that way. The food is always great, you get good value for your money and the service is always top tier! Always my favourite spot for lunch

Don’t blame us for Just Eat mistakes…who is just eat employee whom made an issued incorrect account credit ???? This place by far the only place in bristol I would go back too for the curry goat. The food was delicious, the staff were excellent and the service was 10/10. The sorrel was also yummy 😋. We will definitely be back!

popped in on Friday to join the queue of folks already there. What I like most about the food available at Nadine’s is the consistency. Once you’ve worked out what your favourite dish is, you will find it is the same week in, week out. That’s a Bingo! I usually have curry goat, rice&peas with steamed vegetables and every time I do, it’s exactly the same. Same rice grains and kidney beans, perfectly cooked, same serving of just-right veg., same delicious tender meat - on the bone, of course, spiced just right for my taste - mild heat and seasoned just so. This is a lunch time dish I could eat any time, but I do tend to keep it as a Friday treat. Price of the small meal (which I usually eat in two sittings, saving half for the evening!) has gone up a pound recently, but we all know about the price of raw ingredients and especially of energy, so I think the extra pound is well justified. The lovely staff at Nadine’s cope with queues long and short with the same professional efficiency, always staying super calm and wrapping up every meal carefully. I’d recommend their food to anyone who is fond of good quality home-made Caribbean cooking any time!

The finest Carribean food outside of Aunty Carvell's in Antigua. Nadine makes the best jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, curried goat that we've had. And the stout punch is THE BEST! Thank you Mike and Nadine.

I think that this is one of the best Jamacian places to eat in Bristol. The food is fresh and the service is good. No bad attitude, no we don't have no rice and peas😁 and nice large portions. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Thank you Nadine and Michael.

First time I’ve tried Nadine’s and I have to say the food was banging 💯🙌🏽 Had roast beef, rice and peas, veg and roast potatoes. 10/10 and would order again.

We drove to Bristol from Bangor, North Wales, to visit my sister-in-law. While we were there we took the opportunity to visit a Jamaican cafe for a change because Caribbean food is very rare in North Wales. I was looking for a home cooked, family run, traditional no frills type of cafe/restaurant. Not being familiar with Bristol I chose Nadine's from recommendations on line. I was not disappointed. We booked our table, by phone, for 6pm and placed our order. The Cafe is clean and basic with Caribbean music in the background and the staff are friendly in an informal way. I had Jamaican goat curry, with rice, plantain and fried dumplings, washed dawn with pineapple punch, I finished with Guinness punch. Delicious. Nadine's was just what I was looking for and made a pleasant change from Indian and Chinese.

I’ve never really seen potatoes in oxtail but for some reason there was more than the actual oxtail, and the rice reminded me of packet rice.

ordered online, driver refused to bring it up to my door, i had a sleeping baby with me alone so i refused to leave her alone, he said he’ll chuck my food out here and rode off, rang nadinne’s cafe, they didn’t do nothing! not even a sorry! so i’m down on money with no food nor a replacement even! Oh my. What an experience this was. Decided to treat my family to some Jamaican cuisine for the first time on a rainy Bristol Sunday and Nadine’s was our lucky choice. The man who served us radiated such positive energy and love that made my whole family jovial. The food? Excellent! Home style cooking that’s full of flavour, satisfies even the largest appetites, and had lots of variety. I especially loved my meal, the jerk chicken, black bean rice, steamed veg, and plantains. Yum! My whole family loved their meals too so golden stars all around. Overall, great vibe to the place and great timely service. Will definitely be back for more, that’s for sure.
