Spent a sunny afternoon here, it is a lovely spot. Service a little slow, but it was busy and got drinks eventually.

Amazing cocktails, delicious food, and killer vibes. Our favorite dishes were the mojo rojo octopus, the pea flour risotto, and did I mention the cocktails? Great service and a lovely evening.

We didn’t enjoy the service. It was really slow and we had to chase the staff to get some attention, including asking for the dessert menu twice. Additionally, they even forgot to bring one of the tapas we ordered and we were charged for it (it was removed in the end after we checked the bill.) We got charged a mandatory % on the total bill for service, which we didn’t enjoy based on the experience. Finally, we found the portions being smaller compared to other tapas restaurants in the area and the quality not always great. “I’m sorry” we will not be coming back

Pequeños negativos. . . . . bebidas bastante caras, podrían hacer un vino de la casa, solo un inodoro así que tienen que hacer cola y no toman Blue Light Card.

I loves this place! Also as they were serving as specials my traditional home food from lithuania! But honestly, all tapas dishes were amazing and so delicious! We didn't tey cocktails this time but i have had them here before and they are good too. Only tiny negative, that the food was coming out super slow. They have apologised so no issues. I think they may have had less staff than expected not sure. As non of the other reviews pointed this out. All and all it was great!

Absolutely love this place. Nestled just past the busiest stretch of the quay, it has an effortless vibe—buzzing but never overwhelming. The perfect spot for cocktails by the water. The decor is quirky yet inviting, the staff strike that perfect balance of friendly and laid-back, and the whole place has that unhurried, tucked-away charm that makes it dangerously easy to stay for just one more.

Really chilled out living room vibe, while still feeling professional. Had a great valentines dinner here! Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing valentines meal here last night. Every course of the set menu was divine and the staff were attentive and lovely. 10/10 would recommend anyone to come here for fusion international tapas!

We visited visited the restaurant Saturday evening and despite being quite busy, the Staff were warm and friendly, speedy and attentive and the food was all absolutely perfect 🤩 we would definitely recommend and will be coming again!

I have been to New MoOn twice and it’s been fantastic both times. It’s the perfect atmosphere for a date or to have dinner and drinks with family/friends. The restaurant is decorated so beautifully, the whole place is super aesthetic. The food was delicious and super fresh. The manager explained to us that with each new moon there will be something new on the menu which means you can go back and have something different every time. The staff have been so warm and welcoming on both occasions that I have been. Can’t wait to come back again in the New Year. Thank you !!!

As a lover of tapas, I'd been meaning to come for too long. Why did I wait?! One of the best meals (tapas or otherwise) ever! Don't keep walking past, try it - it's truly special! I arrived at the end of an 18 month world tour as the menu included different menus from around the world. Can't wait for what's next!

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. We booked a table in advance and we were not sat down until 30 mins after arriving (we did get there at the time of our booking). We were asked to order while waiting for our table which felt rushed and not as enjoyable. We did receive an apology and assured if we came again it would not happen. I do understand Saturday nights are busy for restaurants but waiting 30 mins for a table we had booked is too long. However the food is amazing and did not take long to arrive. The portions are small, I would recommend 3 per person. Their service is to bing out food once it is ready. the indoor deco is beautiful. Overall I would come back possibly in the summer to experience the outdoor seating looking at the harbour.

Consistently the best atmosphere, service and food in central Bristol. The staff are an incredible bunch and I’m still thinking about the Thai coconut chicken curry I had from the other night… PS. The Alexa speaker in the toilet is an experience you don’t want to miss, along with the decor. Will definitely be back soon! Thanks again

Food was excellent (great presentation and neat twists) staff were upbeat and great hosts and the venue was fun and they even had a touch of Halloween. Worth more stars than 4.4 it has currently imo seems like a 4.6/4.7 perhaps!

Only went for an afternoon drink. Cannot comment on the food, but great service the atmosphere was very welcoming and chilled. Hence we went there.

A few comments- The automatic 12% service charge. I asked for it to be taken off as tips should be voluntary. It’s awkward so it should be looked at. I was only stopping with two friends for a quick drink and one snack… Also there is only one unisex loo (beautifully decorated) however many of us women are not comfortable using unisex toilets . Staff were competent and friendly, food delicious, atmosphere good (DJ) but the toilets and automatic service charge may delay a return.

Food was okay, wouldn't say it particularly competes with some of the other tapas places around. The servers were pleasant and the general decoration is quirky and eye catching. Didn't appreciate the greedy 12.5% stealth charge. If I want to tip I'd like it to be my choice and to choose how much. The onus shouldn't be on customers to feel awkward asking for it to be removed. Edit to respond to owner (this was to their initial response which they have heavilty changed AGAIN to remove the abusive language and rhetoric. Incredibly childish - imagine if you spent half the time making the place nice for customers instead of falsifying reviews): It is extremely disappointing to see the level of entitlement from the owners, completely missing my point and being petty in comments. I tipped you, however, asking for a near £9 tip on a £70 bill is too much. In the UK staff are paid a living wage, this is not America and with the cost of living not everyone can afford to fluff up your wages with free money. If you're overburdened and putting YOUR staff under immense pressure then clearly you need to think about how many staff YOU hire, instead of running people into the ground and relying on the public to support their wages. Amending my rating (was 3*).

This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of food that you get, and even though it's tapas, the portions are tiny. Nice atmosphere, fair service but Its really not worth the money, there are much nicer places by the harbour with better food and decent prices

Went with my grandparents (which might not have been the best choice I think going with friends in future) food was absolutely delicious 😋 and the cocktail I had was amazing! The staff and host were lovely, created a fun atmosphere which I think I'd like to go back with friends !

Mi marido reservó una cena para dos, llegó y se sentó fuera (dentro estaba vacío) Pedí mesa interior pero me dijeron que estaba lleno) completamente vacío para toda nuestra noche. Faltaba comida de nuestra orden, se sentó en la fría brisa de la noche sin oferta de manta y sin lámparas de calor. La única vez que tomamos una copa fue después de 2 horas y preguntándonos (cuando podíamos agarrar a alguien) El servicio era impactante , la comida faltaba en el orden y pasaba toda la tarde en el frío y esperando una boca llena de comida cada 30 minutos aproximadamente. No lo recomendaría a nadie y no volvería.

I would say it was a wonderful experience and location to enjoy tasty tapas. And the decor has a nice feel to it. We had a variety of food and drink, reasonable price and good quality. They forgot a dish we ordered and would have personally expected a slightly larger Aperol spritz, so that was a bit peeving as I was looking forward to the dish I ordered, but apart from that it was not half bad.

Sat outside so can’t comment on the atmosphere but service and food fantastic. Would set my face on fire and attempt to put it out with a fork to eat here again if required. Sergio and the team fantastic. Waiter from Scotland very good

Had the best food and cocktails i think i hace ever had at this wonderful venue. Sergio made us feel very much at home. His level of care is 2nd to none. A real pleasure. We extended our stay for another night so we could re-visit. The prawns where my favourite and the Mai Tai aswell. We will be back soon.

Came here last night for our anniversary dinner and was very happy with the whole experience. Although the place was very quiet (big England game) the staff were so lovely and the food was delicious. Big shoutout to Nick who was attentive and friendly. We will sure be back again!

Los cócteles Elderflower Fizz (prosecco) eran deliciosos, así que tuvimos 2 cada uno. Tuvimos Patatas Bravas, Setas Cremosas salteadas, Cutitas de Cordero y Chorizo Riojano todo delicioso. Servicio amable, las porciones bien - cronometrado entre sacar platos. Muy agradable y recomendaría 100%

This visit was planned well in advance; but then everything had to be changed. Originally this was a birthday lunch for two; my treat and with my Partner being the ‘birthday girl’. We had called-in here weeks earlier to select a table, sample the wine, and glance at the menus. Then my Partner’s invited her daughter to visit us for the weekend by and she brought “Pippa” with her. Pippa is a 15-month old, very large and energetic, but friendly, Doberman puppy. I had contacted the restaurant giving advance notice that we would be accompanied, and then I ‘casually’ mentioned the hound. To be honest I was expecting to be rebuffed or offered outdoor seating. The latter was not really an option, because the weather forecast was for almost continuous rain (well it was June!). The chap I spoke-to was most understanding and agreed that we could indeed sit in the restaurant with the hound, on the proviso that said hound would behave impeccably. In the end there was no rain on the day of our visit, but it was very windy, and far too cold to be comfortably seated outside ... as I say it was June! The restaurant serves tapas with a twist; by theming selected plates to different countries: these countries change every few weeks. It was plates themed on Syria during our visit: and having travelled extensively in the middle east, in the 1970’s to 1990’s, I had looked forward to the dining experience here today. Having spent time working in the middle east, I found the food in these counties interesting. These were exotic flavourings that I was unaccustomed-with, and had really enjoyed during my travels. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our 2pm reservation and, as we had been told it would be, the restaurant was quiet. There was a party of six braving the elements sat at a large table on the generous patio area, and there was a party of four sat at a table inside the restaurant. We were shown to our table, providing a view of the patio area. When we had all settled-in we studied the menus. We ordered bottled tap-water and wine by the glass, the latter being Rioja and Provence Rosé. The Rosé was my tipple and was really very pleasant, delicate and much enjoyed. A range of tapas plates were ordered, but my Partner’s daughter’s choices were somewhat limited by her being a celiac. This precluded plates that contain any trace of gluten, even food fried in the same oil as food that contained gluten would be ‘poison’. So, for her, certain plates on the menu were off-limits. A good variation of plates however were ordered: One serving of Marinated Mixed Olives (V, GF) - Stone in. From Spain, Greece, Turkey and Italy, herbs and garlic. I do not enjoy olives but they were enjoyed by my Partner and her daughter. Two servings of Herb-Tossed Sourdough (GF available) - Olive oil and aged balsamic. Lovely plate; the perfectly toasted sourdough was warm and crunchy, but soft enough to absorb the pale and delicate olive oil, and the strong and tangy balsamic vinegar. Two servings of Patatas Bravas (GF, V available) - Crispy fried potato cubes with smoky, lightly spiced tomato and red pepper salsa. Really very good, hot and slightly crunchy patatas, with a spicy bravas sauce. This plate was cooked in ‘contaminated’ oil so was not available as a true GF plate. It was commendable that the waiter advised us about the shared cooking oil: it being a total ‘no-no’ for celiacs. Three servings of Purple Butterfly Pea Flower Risotto (GF) - Seared scallops and king prawns, saffron Beurre Blanc, with samphire spears. Probably the plate that I enjoyed the most. I am not a great fan of risotto, which has to be perfectly cooked (and sadly rarely is) for me to enjoy. The risotto was perfectly cooked and it was exquisite, but with only one scallop was a bit mean. I feel that the description of this plate on the menu to be misleading. The menu says ‘scallops’ (actually on the website it is misspelt as ‘scallopes’). This indicates the plural and one scallop is not a ‘plural’ quantity. The samphire spears (misspelt as ‘spearse’ on the website menu) are always a joy; such a beautiful accompaniment to any fish. Shared (between two) serving of King Prawns (GF, N) - Sautéed in garlic, Ouzo, white wine and sun-dried tomato pesto cream. A lovely plate, and we should have ordered a plate each. The firm and juicy prawns were just perfectly cooked, and the sauce was divine. Shared (between two) serving of Crunchy Parmesan and Potato Coated Cod - Mushy minty peas, tartare sauce. A wonderful plate and again we should have ordered a plate each. The perfectly cooked crunchy-coated flaky cod was firm and meaty, but a bit thin. The mushiness of the petite-pois style peas was not excessive (certainly not chip-shop style). The sharp-tasting tartare sauce was great. Three servings of Balsamic Glazed Lamb Cutlets (GF) - Balsamic, honey and basil glaze, wilted spinach with garlic and mint, sautéed vegetables. This was a tad disappointing for me, it was perfectly cooked (i.e. pink and juicy meat) but one of my two culets had so little meat on it, that it was almost a waste of effort on trying to eat it. The broccoli was over-cooked and fine beans were what they are (IMHO just a waste of plate space). So the food was mostly excellent, but the service was sadly not at all good. Food plates were served too far apart, consequently there was no flow to the meal. I had two glasses of wine and would most likely have had more if the waiting staff had given me an opportunity to order it! Waiting staff rarely even walked past our table. I had to attract their attention by turning around in my seat and physically signalling to get more wine. After the final plate we sat for over 10 minutes before our plates were cleared; then I got up walked to the bar and paid the bill. As we were gathering ourselves to leave, the manager appeared at our table and was surprised to learn we had already paid! If the restaurant had been busy then I would have understood; but with only three tables in use, it was just rubbish service. Would we go again? Yes for most of the food (we would cherry pick and have less variety of plates but more individual rather than shared plates). It is true however we would probably not return because of the service.

Just went for a drink after work with a friend. Would highly recommend their Aperol Spritzs! We both wished it had been payday because the food looked superb and smelled amazing, but it is on the pricier side...will go back! The view is *chefs kiss* and the servers/ staff are lovely.

Had a lovely long lunch here on a sunny Friday; catching up with some friends. Service was excellent as was the food and drink choice was lovely as well. The Thai chicken was 👌 Good luck with the Guinness world record challenge!

The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is good and the unpleasant feeling came until we paid our bill twice, they said that the first time our card was not accepted and at the next payment everything was "ok" but when I checked my account I saw that we had paid twice .

Lovely meal with plenty of gluten free options and some vegetarian choices too. It was busy so the service was a bit hit and miss. Unfortunately they’d sold out of some of the guest country dishes so didn’t get to try any of these but I would definitely come back to try again. Each dish comes out when it’s ready.

Gorgeous food and super polite and professional staff. Absolutely loved the risotto, baba ganoush and king prawns but nothing was disappointing. This gem on the quay is really worth a trip - we will definitely be back! We ordered about 2 dishes per person and it suited us well but if you are super hungry I would say order three. Great value - not cheap, but not expensive. Worth every penny!

The best Tapas around Harbour side. The interior is very attractive and cosy, the dishes all around the world is making this restaurant unique and you want to come back to try the next country delicious food. The seafood is absolutely bang on ( prawns, octopus Risotto and cevice) , haven't got any comments on that rather than absolutely brilliant. Very friendly and attentive service every time... Went to new moon on our first visit to Bristol. Could not fault anything. Service was amazing and the food was exceptional. Will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Very fast service. Never had ceviche that had rocket in it before especially as there was more than there was fish. Patatas bravas felt like last Sundays roasts leftovers. Sadly disappointing..

A hidden gem to be found in Bristol, I was captivated from the first moment due to the relaxed and positive vibes, it was almost overwhelming. One you've experienced it you want to come back for more. Absolutely stunning to look at! Food was delicious and the staff were extemely attentive and knowledge, it almost felt like one Maître d' had the knowledge and presence of three different people, quite remarkable. We had our daughter's wedding reception at the restaurant, and what had already been a great day was totally enhanced by the fantastic service we received from Sergiu and his team. They couldn't do enough for us. Would thoroughly recommend the New Moon on the Quay.

Very slow with dishes and they forgot one of them. Suggested we could order more later, but then kitchen closed. They took the forgotten dish off the bill and gave a slight discount, but I just wanted my food. This was an anniversary dinner that we were excited for but left still hungry.

Did a circular walk of Bristol Harbourside having booked the New Moon on The Quay as a halfway stop off for early evening dinner. Staff were amazing, good service, friendly, polite and full of conversation and chatty. Tapas style food again amazing. Could not fault it in anyway. Lovely setting overlooking the harbour and the hustle and bustle. Would 100% recommend!

The best time we had in Bristol! We visited a few places in Bristol this Sunday, this place was the best welcome, the friendliest service, the best drinks and the best location! Nik in particular was fabulous, his basil infused gin is a triumph, and his pink peppercorn Infusion and bourbon negroni alternative we can highly recommend!! The perfect spot to while away the afternoon, I hope we will return!!
