I've paid a lot more for less food of lower quality. Big portions of tasty food at bargain prices. I'll be back.

Asian fast food. Good price and I like the set up to get good food quick. Ours was much too oily though. Spent a while scooping oil off the top of the broth.

I asked for SPICY and OHHH MYYY GOOODDDD these people cooked like crazy. Insanely good spicy noodle hot pot. I tried the Beef which was good but the chicken for me was even better. They have some tasty house chocolates on the counter to help you beat the tingling spice post meal. The staff are super sweet and they help you customise the meals. Would recommend the beef stew with white rice that was also delightful if you are not in the mood for noodles. Shabby loves this place. Get your spice cravings satisfied from Chilly Daddy today cause SHABBY SAID SO!!!

Really nice people, really speedy food, yummy, tasty & great service

My go to for a quick, reasonably priced and authentic meal. My go to is the tofu and vegetable hot noodle broth with a side of dumplings (all vegan!) and I’ve never been disappointed. Would love if there were some specials to keep me going back more often to try something different!

Great food as always but please bring back the Spare Ribs rice meal!

Again, when you see a lot of foreigners, you should hesitate to enter this Chinese restaurant. The spiciness of his rice is actually red chili powder from the Premier League, not domestic chili noodles or oily chili pepper, collapse!

A classic. Proper spice hit and delicious. Not home made noodles etc but a great meal and generally really reliable. Don’t go above 3/5 spice until you’re initiated

Tasteless and oily. It's vile. Tastes of nothing except spice. I ordered no spice. It's slicked in oil, vile. The shine in thr picture- it's all oil. I going to eat because I've paid for it. Hope i survive. Never again.

One of the best hot pot in Bristol. I like either beef or tofu hot pot , with sweet potatoes noodles. I haven’t try other dishes but hands down, hot pot is what you want.

We love chilli daddy! Recommend a 2/3 heat level on the noodles. Haven't had the rice dishes as we love the noodles so much. Great price too. No table service here but this is expected for the price. Recommend the mouthwatering dishes as a cold side.

Really wonderful Sichuan food. Bold flavours, big portions, reasonably priced. Really cool family history if you take the time to read. Anthony Bourdain swore by spicy Sichuan food as a hangover cure and after eating here I can see why. Would highly recommend.

Maybe 2mins and food was hot and ready, had stewed beef app and spicy steamed dumpling 3star heat. Very oily dish but tender beef and very nice flavor. Went with Thai and Malaysian friends.We enjoyed it. Recommend it.

The food is great. Beware the dishes are served cold and that's not a bad thing. Tons of flavor I got a spice level of 4 and it's enough to give me a little sweat. Mouth watering beef was very flavorful. The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the pork dumplings. They were not bad but they weren't great either. Definitely coming back

It's good value for money and tastes good. I don't know why, but I was thankful they gave me a drink for free. lol

The food it’s good The only thing is I use to come here very often but now they charge more and as well the soup ( the stew) now it’s less in every portion I have which it’s not good at all they try to cheat on meals !!!

Solid, quick, filling and warm tasty hotpots. I can't speak for authenticity, but it's just really tasty.

Rip off: £9 for 20p worth of noodles, four pieces of beef, half an egg and a few peanuts. They didn’t even add any stock! A few dry mouthfuls and then binned it all. They also messed up our order – should’ve been wheat noodles with beef and rice noodles with the tofu, not the other way round. I used to come here all the time when I lived in Bristol and absolutely loved it. Bought a takeaway on a recent visit and couldn’t wait to eat it the whole drive home… such a disappointment. Might still be ok if you eat in but avoid takeaway at all costs. Gutted on so many levels :(

I am starting with the con because it is very important that the staff is aware. My brother requested to take out the peanuts when ordering through the screen, but they failed to comply. This is by choice, but imagine someone with allergy who is not very vigilant hence 1 star less PROS. Good portion, delicious noodles, good ambiance. Service was fast.

The merchant missed the delivery of the wife cake. And the noodles taste worse than before. It used to be packaged separately, but now it's mixed directly with the soup, and by the time it's delivered, the soup has been absorbed by the noodles. A painful experience.

LOVE IT! It was so good that we had to come back before we leave on the next day! The soup was amazing and any kind of noodle you order will go well with it. You order it in the screen on the entry and you'll receive a paper to pay at the counter, and also pick up your food there. They will call your number and also show it on the screen in the dining room. Free drinking water is available at the self-service counter (cutlery, napkins, and paper cups) I tried minced chicken noodle hotpot for the first time and braised beef on the next day, both of them were delicious and came in HUGE portions. Enough for two small people if you don’t eat much! We also ordered pork dumplings, don’t remember how much was it but came in small size and about 5 pcs. Both steam and fried are good but the only issue was it’s too small for share and too big to have it alone. I wish to visit this place again as much as I can but sadly they don’t have that many branches around the UK, not even in London (plz correct me if I’m wrong :) so I can go there haha) Definitely will go back to this place if I visit Bristol again!

Me and my best friend have been going to chillie daddies since 2018 they are the best noodle place in the uk, nothing compares we have been trying to find something similar in London and we haven’t it is delicious here, I went in for some noodles on my own today and was treated like royalty, would highly recommend the noodle salad it 10/10

Increadible food and value. Had beef rib noodle hotpot, 10 pound, so much beef rib I almost couldnt eat it all, like a crane game where every dip wins and every prize is amazing beef. Stewed so well it was holding together but fall apart in the mouth. Not too spicy, spice 3 was not burning hot, extra chili on table with sauce extras. Good tea. Increadible tofu. Fantastic egg option perfectly cooked. Ask for extra peanuts.

Ordered delivery and it came very hot and fresh; been recommended chilli daddy's for a long time by friends. Just super disappointing. Had pork and chilli oil dumplings and chicken dandan noodles and it was completely flavourless. You can taste nothing at all. Wouldn't eat from here again unfortunately.

I’ve been coming to Chilli Daddy since they first opened. I stopped coming after lockdown because I had a terrible meal. Have been back twice recently. First time was ok but today - the Dan Dan noodles were tasteless. This place is done. Not coming back now. If it’s a case of unreliable staff then that needs to be resolved.

Hands down fantastic. Good service. Food quality was fantastic. Also even if you don't like the spice you can do the dish low spice.

I have at least one chilli daddy delivered a week. The noodles and broth are so so good. The beef can be a little too fatty for my liking sometimes, but I can’t overly complain as the prices are low. The fried dumplings are fantastic too. I’ve probably had 100’s of deliveries but have never stepped foot in the restaurant. This will change soon! I’ve had a veg lunchtime hotpot from their stall in St Nicks which was super cheap and a delicious lunchtime meal. Highly recommend

Im a chef and felt the food was delicious and nourishing, the staff where really helpful and there was a happy vibe in the restaurant. All in all 5 star experience.

Noods are the best, eat here all the time

Visited yesterday with my friend and ordered a few things to try. I’m vegan and there were as decent amount of things for me to eat so that’s a positive. The self service order system was good to be able to check out the menu at your own pace. There is no table service but an number call out system instead. My friend liked her broth in the chicken dish. My broth lacked flavour, and all of the chilli seasoning was on one side of the dish not mixed throughout. However, the tofu was really tasty and a good texture too! As someone else mentioned, the names are a bit vague and therefore we ordered the mouth-watering tofu on a whim. Neither of us liked it as it was very vinegary. Perhaps this is how dish generally is, as we’ve never heard of it before, but we unfortunately just couldn’t eat most of it.

Amazingly authentic fast little friendly cafe/restaurant. The bone broths are so nourishing. Great for this time of year with the extra vit c of chilli.

Had as takeaway- really delicious and well spiced food. Not your average Chinese. Vegetable dumplings were chewy and had a really flavourful filling.

I visited this restaurant for lunch today, and I have to say, I'm not one to leave harsh reviews, but the food was truly awful. Both my partner and I started feeling bad stomachaches even before finishing the meal. We came here based on the good reviews, hoping for a tasty and flavourful lunch, but it was quite the opposite. Unfortunately, won't be returning.

Ooh, for some good & quick chinese food, please stop by. They have a special way to order, so u order on the little screens when you enter, even add your allergies & spice meter there and then go to the till/counter to pay & then collect the food , take your seat & enjoyyyy!!

This is a place you go for an experience, so for that I can't fault it. The service is chaotic, but generally efficient, the menu is pretty simple but the food is delicious. And the spice levels are a bit of a gamble. I have a pretty high tolerance for spice, and level 4 was gorgeous and hot enough for some good pain while maintaining a flavour. But level 5 almost made my head fall off 🥲 3 on the other hand just tasted like plain soup to me. But it might be perfect for someone who has less of a tolerance. The tofu veg bowl and rice noodles were my favourite combination of the types I tried. I found the rib meat a bit gritty, and the sweet potato noodles too slippery. The veg on its own and tofu on its own felt like they were missing something. We also ordered a side dish of tofu, which was cold and had a different spice palate but was equally delicious. The portion size for the bowls is massive, great if you're hungry, but it might also be worth sharing the noodles and getting a few side dishes if you aren't sure. Also we ate this once on a reasonably sunny day and had a good time, and then next time on a blistering heatwave day. The uncomfortable humidity of the day made the experience a hell of a lot more painful 🥲

Been to this place more than 10 times. Love their spicy noodles soup! The price is the best part, verrrrrry affordable and totally worthy. The noodles or rice dishes are less than £10.

Beef or Tofu Noodle Hot Pot absolutely amazing every day! Best Hot Pot in Bristol so far ! I'm glad that finally I can eat from the bowl not the plastic container. I'll try other dishes due course:) Highly Recommended.

I went recently and honestly think this is one of the best cheap eats I've ever eaten and will be a serious contender when it comes to where to eat in Bristol going forward. I had the stewed beef with rice and it was amazing. Next time I'm going to try a bunch of the sides too as no doubt they will be great also. Highly recommend.

If u want to eat Chinese food, it cannot go wrong. Have own unique taste. Not like other Chinese takeaway in UK, which are so weak as to accommodate british's weak mouth. If you really want a full taste, order at least lvl 3 spice. If you order lvl 1-2 and complain there is no favour, u r i***

Was really disappointed by the chicken rice meal which is salad and chicken floating in oil. Never felt more sick or oiled out. I’ve never had food served in a bowl of oil before but unfortunately it’s the first and last time I’ll be visiting :(

Food is very common and some ingredients in the noodles soup are certainly not traditional. I ordered a no spicy noodle soup and it was super spiced to the point I couldn’t finish it. Not impressed at all.

The worst meal I’ve had in Bristol in the 18 months I’ve been working here. The fried meat dumplings were greasy and the ‘meat’ had the texture of spam but without as much flavour. The topping on the chicken noodle hotpot looked more like mechanically reclaimed meat than minced chicken. The broth was very bland with most of the flavour coming from the chilli oil slick floating on the surface. The portion was large, but I’d gladly exchange the quantity for quality.

Thought I would give it a go a second time round - nothing that special unfortunately and feels well over hyped. The chicken and pork mince is not really as appetising as it would be if it were good cuts, also lettuce feels out of place and just gets soggy and rank - all just feels a bit silty on the palette with not a huge amount of flavour. Overall, not horrible, but definitely not worth a third try.

Recommend this place for authentic Chinese street food. Filled with flavour and aroma, the food has great aesthetic appeal and taste. Truly home dining experience. It's a self-service restaurant and prices are affordable. Portion size is good and you can choose your preferred level of spice. I went with 1 for the dish I ordered. There are vegetarian options too. Besides, you can request for your own variations and they oblige as it is fresh home cooking.

Every time we order from here there's a mistake. Ordered a vegan meal that came with eggs. Done giving this place any more of my money now.

Amazing A Bristol Institution not to be missed. Great menu choices and fantastic value. The food is cooked fresh so there is a short wait. You can order noodles on a heat scale of 1 to 5. Be warned 5 is atomic! Highly recommended.

Anybody leaving anything less than five stars for this restaurant was neither reared or educated correctly. A plague upon their families, in my view, is the only appropriate punishment. Chilli Daddy is ALL about the textures and flavours and whatever heat and sour you dial into the mix. The result is a phenomenally satisfying and filling experience at an amazingly reasonable price. I go there for takeaway whenever possible!

The only thing I ate all day other than Chilli Daddy was a meal deal. Morning after and I now have bad food poisoning and can't stay away from the nearest bathroom. Never again

Great home cooking style food, self service for drinks (water) and ordering. Ordering and payment was done on computer by the entrance. Could customize the order for dietary needs and the level of spiciness. We were happy to find the eatery in downtown Bristol.

This place is a must if you’re looking for tasty and well priced food (£8 for a main). Service is speedy and portion sizes are so big I had to take half home! A little rough on the edges but really ideal if you’re in town and fancy a bite. Have also ordered take out here and taken it to King Street which I’d recommend in the summer.

This has to be, by far, the worst meal I've had and the worst experience I've EVER had with a takeaway. Ordered the Spare Ribs rice meal. There were 4 pieces of tiny miniscule chopped ribs in my broth. More like 3 pieces as one was ALL bone. Very disappointing. For £10 I would expect more than half of one rib in my meal. Maybe I could forgive this if the food actually tasted nice, but it didnt. The food was bland as all hell, bad quality old meat, no flavour whatsoever. Basically just tasted like spicy water. Me and my friend also had some spring rolls which again were INCREDIBLY bland. No flavour whatsoever. This place came highly recommended as a friend. I was starving before my dinner so was so excited but this was an ultimate let down. I was still hungry after eating my "meal" and ordered food from an actually good Chinese restaurant after this. Makes me question the judgement of anyone who says the food is delicious here. I cannot speak for the service and atmosphere as I had a delivery order.

Always liked coming here, good portions at good prices, guaranteed to be tasty. However menu is very ambiguous, ordered 'delicious tofu rice meal' and the main event turned out to be a cold salad dish. Not what I was aiming for.
